The bacon, Portuguese sausage and Kalua pork was good. I think if they dress up the place a little better make it nicer it would be so good. The lady at the counter was nice and it's like an old mom and pop diner. Overall definitely would come back because the taste was good.
Still great delicious food. Went for lunch and we had the salmon salad done different styles I had the salmon, watercress, tofu salad $17. It was a huge salad! Totally filled the take out box. Came with a large piece of moist flavorful salmon, grilled just right on top of tofu cubes and huge amount of greens. I had the shoyu based dressing on the side and also the ginger green onion sauce for the salmon. Filled me up. My friend had the soba with the salmon $19. She agreed the salmon was done perfectly. We also sampled the petite lobster roll $11 that was on Magic menu special. The lobster meat was pretty chunky. Solid lunch- the items on the Magic menu looked pretty good and reasonable in price. In a cold case were lemonades-mango, hibiscus and strawberry $6. Good place to grab lunch
I love lobster rolls and heard Feast had one of the best, if not the best, in town. I came here for lunch and can honestly say this one is the best! The taste of the lobster is what sets it apart from the others. It costs $30 but it's worth it given the amount of lobster you get. I've had cheaper ones but they were also smaller and not as tasty. There are other items on their menu so I'd like to come back to try them. The food must be good since a restaurant without parking wouldn't survive otherwise. There is however, parking in the neighborhood.. Atmosphere in and around Feast is very casual, relaxing, and enjoyable. Service here is also good!
I've been here twice now and the food has been great, but the overall experience is a bit odd. The ambiance gives the vibes of having moved in and set up business in a previous business' space with the previous business' decor, not really caring about the dining room, and kind of perhaps being burned out or having given up on the customer experience. Most of the decorative lighting fixtures have burned out bulbs. Windows are dirty. Recycling on full display. It's counter service plus some refrigerated cases where they offer a variety of drinks, desserts, and sauces to go. Make sure to bend over and look to the back of the shelves, because there may be things hidden back there that haven't been pulled to the front of the shelf, and you can't see them unless you bend down. Lobster rolls are $30 so I didn't spring for that, but I had a bento plate that was delicious, and included hamburger steak, orange chicken, chili, and rice. Overall I really enjoyed it, although some of the seasoning seemed slightly off, with the orange chicken tasting overly salty, while the hamburger steak seems under-seasoned. Chile was da bomb though !! Also there's a 4% surcharge for paying with a card, which I hate, but am slowly becoming resigned about.
My go-to spot for a lobster roll in town has to be Feast. The lobster roll is always fresh, buttery and full of flavor truly the best I've had here. The service is consistently fast, kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. What I love most is enjoying my meal while taking in the gorgeous mountain views of Mānoa Valley it feels like such a peaceful little escape. If you're craving something special, I can't recommend Feast enough. Supporting them feels good because they pour so much love into what they do :))
I'm not sure if it's because they may be busy with new year's orders or what, but I was disappointed with lunch today. Still gave 3 stars because of previous good experiences so I'm hoping this was just an odd day. Lobster roll $30 - where's the meat? If I shifted the meat to one side, it probably was only half the bread size, and small pieces too. Nicoise salad $20 - glad this one was decent. Good size salmon. Good cook on it. I think they should use their other dressing instead though. Jon lechon $19 - mostly fat. I know lechon is belly, but there should still be some meat. I liked the vinegar sauce. But wish there was meat that I could eat. Also wish the rice was softer. The extra chicharrones pieces were exciting to see, but sadly inedible (could not chew). Fish of the day $21 - I don't believe online said what the fish was. But the picture and description led me to think it would be similar to a Chinese style ginger-green onion fish filet. Instead it appears to be an ahi steak, well done.
First time here. Ample parking on the street anywhere surrounding the establishment if you don't mind walking. It was a nice walk and not too far which was good because it was raining a bit today. I ordered the shawarma with chicken. It was the first shawarma I've had that used chicken thighs instead of chicken breast. I guess it was supposed to be a build it yourself type thing because the pita bread was in a separate package. They were sliced in triangles so I wasn't sure how to go about eating this as a typical shawarma. I soon figured it out that the pita is for the hummus and you just eat everything separately. Or maybe I was doing it wrong.... Lol.... The food lacked flavor or probably the spices that typically go into making a shawarma were just not there. I'm guessing this is a more of a takeout establishment because they served us our orders in takeout containers, but we ate there. A family of four ordered right after us and they spent over $120 on lunch served to them also in plastic takeout containers.
Lunch for 3 in Manoa... Located across the street a little past Safeway, this restaurant is located on the corner. They do not have a parking lot, so we had to find street parking. Ordering process - you order with the cashier and they bring your food to the table. I had the soba noodles salad with salmon. It was fresh tasting with a good light flavor. My husband had the hamburger steak plate. The patty was homemade and was delicious. With Mac salad and rice - a good local plate lunch. The chef here is John Matsubara who was on Alex vs America. I remember watching that episode and he kicked the Iron chef's you know what lol. I did enjoy my lunch on a nice rainy day. It has a feel good, hipster atmosphere.
As a lobster roll lover, this is among the better lobster rolls on the island. I like the lobster and the soft buttery bun. My gf loves the crispy fries. Not a cheap sandwich but worth splurging on.
Okay, so first things first, if you're planning to come to Feast for a great dine-in experience, you're not going to get that. There's no parking really, and just a few tables where you can sit and eat from your takeout containers. Not exactly the ambiance you might be looking for. Having said that the food is so much better than the ambiance would suggest. The lobster roll was rich and buttery, and the other specials all looked delicious too. Service is basically just counter service, but it wasn't too slow, and the food was hot and fresh. Would definitely be back.
Luxury Plate-Lunch - I forget where I read/heard that about Feast, but that is a short and simple way to really describe potentially what may be available and at what price. I first ate here during 2020 so it wasn't somewhere to sit and eat, and I still have not tried sitting here. I usually enjoy my meals on-the-go since the reason why I'm here is probably because work sent me to Manoa to work. But, I highly recommend calling in your order since they're fast, timing is great, and they can get pretty busy. As far as food, call me crazy but the $30 lobster is kind of worth it. Maybe it's because my husband and I split it so it was (technically) only $15 for the regular sized option, but man did we love it. What I didn't love was the magic menu sized option. The magic menu is a great way to bring in customers who are on budget or eat less, but still want some great food; most items on the menu are $10 and are just smaller versions of the regular menu. My favorite to get is the John Fried Chicken (JFC) and I love the fries and gravy that come with it. I also don't know what they bread the chicken with, but it's sure unique, even the gravy on the side too! I definitely recommend the regular size option if you're not interested in the magic menu. Why did I knock off a star? Sometimes I just can't get the price at some places. I also wish there were more items on the magic menu. Would I still eat here again? Of course! Would I recommend my friends and family to eat here? Yeah, pretty much. But most likely we'll all wince at the price juuuuuuust a little.
I ordered the mini hamburger steak and petite lobster roll off of the magic menu. The regular sized lobster roll is $30 which I didn't want to spend but still wanted to try since this is what they're known for. So I opted for the petite version which is literally two bites for $11. I was hoping so bad to hate it because of the price but it was delicious. I'm definitely going back for the full sized one next time I'm in the area. The mini hamburger steak was good but nothing special. My husband got a burger which came with fries for $12 which I thought was a good deal especially with prices these days. Overall, very tasty. But there is only street parking as far as I know which sucks. Especially because there were only a few people there and we had a hard time finding a spot so I can't imagine how it is when it gets busy.
Loco Moco w/ extra rice was mayjuh !! Also they action lobster roll & the thin fries is on point Nice little vibe near manoa market. This place is a winner

The lobster roll is excellent but overpriced! There are nice large chunks of lobster and I understand lobster is expensive, but $30 for a small sandwich is too much! The fries were also not my favorite. If you like your fries skinny and crispy, they're not bad but I only ate a few and tossed the rest. My husband got the chicharrones which he liked and was a more reasonable lunch price at $17.50, but still expensive for what it was. I debated giving this 3 stars, as it was a hefty bill to not be full at the end of the meal, but ultimately, I did enjoy my sandwich quite a lot. If it were twice the size or half the price, I would've been very happy. Order ahead and pick up, there's a small parking lot next to the restaurant that we parked for a second to dash in and grab our food. Inside there are a few tables where it looked like people were sitting/ hanging out, but it's mostly a take out set up at this point. read more

I'm feeling bad I'm posting this but I'd like to share our experience of FEAST with you. After reading so much hype about this place we decided to dine here. We were pretty disappointed in the service & the food... We ordered Lobster Rolls which comes with a delicious side of shoestring style fries... $30.00!! Honestly it's not worth $30.00 for a skimpy lobster roll, that was on 3 little connected sweet rolls with a smear of umami sauce you could barely taste, (how can there be a flavorless umami?) We won't order it again, probably not even go back. The service is nil to say the least. No one else was there so you'd think the workers would be a little friendlier, we felt so unwelcomed in a "local" eatery. The cashier barely said a word. There are other places we can have tasty food, feel the Aloha & with better prices! read more

I took out chili & rice ($7) and mini hamburger steak ($9.50). I'm really glad that this Magic Menu exists because oftentimes full meals at restaurants are too much, and these were just the right amount, especially for lunch. I split this with my husband, who can eat a lot, but he doesn't like feeling stuffed and this was enough for him as well. Both dishes are delicious but we liked the hamburger steak a bit more. Will be returning for other items on the menu! read more
My boyfriend and I are always on the lookout for the best food joints and when we saw feast on IG, we instantly knew we had to go. The food was even better than we expected and we instantly kanak attacked when we got home lol. We had the classic lobster roll as well as the steak n' cheese which were both *MUAH chefs kiss the lobster roll was on a Hawaiian sweet bread that was grilled to perfection, loaded with buttery lobster and the steak n' cheese was so savory, it practically melted in my mouth. It was our first time here and definitely not our last. A must try, your stomach will thank you. read more

The best Lobster roll sandwich in Hawaii! Was lucky to find Feast while in town and the place has a great vibe and a indoor/outdoor space. If you can take the heat I'd recommend the spicy #lobsterroll! I like spice and this def has a kick! I opted out my fries for a salad and they used a sesame-based salad dressing that was extremely complimenting with the lobster roll. The lobster itself had a very good creamy flavor and the roll wasn't very buttery and was sweet! :) would come back to try other entrees! read more
Lobster rolls were Ono!!! The lobster were naturally sweet Served in kind of a buttery hawaiian king roll, the fries is a nice touch with it and my wife loved it. I'm not much of a seafood person, and I don't eat lobster much or even crab, but when I did, it didn't last long on my plate lol. So it's ono. Also ordered the JFC plate. The chicken had some kind of a spice, served with cauliflower and rice, the chicken was very good! Loved that and wouldn't mind coming back here again for that. Ordered online for curbside pickup, just call and text the business when arriving to pickup your order. Givem 15-20minutes to make your orders. Happy eating!!! read more
For lunch, we decided to check out Feast which is located in Manoa. I ordered the Hilo-Hamburger steak which has yummy mushroom gravy all over two local beef patties served with "keto" mac salad and rice. Portion size is good. I couldn't eat the entire thing so I had the rest for dinner. The gravy all over the patty was so good. My friend ordered the lobster roll (on Hawaiian sweet bread) with fries which she said was good too. Next time I'll try the lobster roll. read more

JFC, burger, and hamburger steak were ok , really salty. I've been wanting to come here for a while bc of the hype, but honestly it's expensive and glorified plate lunches. read more

Food filled weekend. I have been itching to try this place since a random instagram post popped up with the infamous lobster roll. So I finally got my lobster roll... it was wonderful. The peices of lobster were big, the flavor was perfect, no side of butter necessary. I can now say, I definitely know where to go when I'm craving lobster rolls.. My friend got the Big Mac Bara which was huge and the burger itself was packed with flavor, tender, and worth a trip to Manoa for. I ordered online and being directionally challenged, I called for curbside pick up and told them I was outside. Turns out I wasn't even on the street their building was located. I saw a line, figured it was them and parked behind the building. When I finally realized I needed to go down another block, the lady who brought my food out was so kind, personable, and understanding of my err. Hats off for great service. read more

Called for take out! Taste/Quality: Had a large order consisting of 2x Lobster Rolls, Crab Bacon Sandwich, Big Mac Bara Burger, Hamburger Steak, and Lobster Bisque. After seeing the ravings of the lobster rolls, we were out to get some! I think the true highlight of the Lobster Roll order is the sweet bread and a good amount of lobster. On the other end, the french fries were very disappointing, as they were thinner than average. The Crab Bacon sandwich was interesting, as the bread was a bit tough, the crab bland and the bacon very salty. The Big Mac Bara Burger was a good size as it is kind of pricey for a burger. My father enjoyed the Hamburger Steak and the Lobster Bisque also had a good amount of lobster balls/chucks. Service: Great service over the phone! Whereas the in-person encounter was awkward. Only thing the employee said was the price of my total, "$106." Worth trying at least once! Easy parking on Lowrey Ave. read more

I'm on a quest to find the best lobster roll in Oahu. I normally go to Da Buttah Lobster at Joleen's Market Place but finding parking and driving around Chinatown is such a turn-off, so I decided to check out Feast. At $23 (new price), this lobster roll is definitely the most expensive out of Joleen's and Fat Cheeks. However, I must admit that they are very generous with the amount of lobster they give, and the lobster pieces aren't minced either. Their lobster rolls are composed of whole lobster claws! Luckily the order includes fries because I'm a big eater and the 3 small Hawaiian bread it comes with is not enough to satisfy my big appetite. Although the flavor was good, I found myself craving the pickled carrots and Daikon that Joleen's includes in their lobster roll. My friend ordered the salmon salad with soba noodles. Her salmon tasted really good, but the dressing on the salad could have used more seasoning. FYI, there is no parking on premise. We found street parking in a neighborhood down the street from the restaurant and ate in the car. They are only offering take-out because of Covid. I'll come back to this place if I want to treat myself to an expensive lobster roll. Due to the hefty price tag, difficulty finding parking, and having to eat in the car, I don't see myself patronizing this place often. read more
I debated between a 3 and 4 and ultimately came down to a 4 for a few reasons. 1) my MIL got the famed lobster roll and said it had tons of lobster and would like to get it again. I didn't get so can't comment directly. 2) online ordering and curbside pickup super smooth and painless. Can order for future time. Text when you arrive and then come out to your car. Parked in the stalls next to restaurant on e manoa rd across from Bangkok chef. 3) they sell DIY kits and fresh produce and sauces they make like sambal olek (I would've gotten had I not recently bought 2 jars of this staple condiment) and ginger scallion sauce. The hub loves cold ginger chicken and so I got this sauce on a whim. It's $7 and awesome. Maybe it's easy to make but I can't and the convenience of having a ready made jar is incredible. We had it on top of salmon at home the other day and it was sooooo good. I think this sauce would be good on anything. The food that we got was fine. The Big MacBara burger had a high end burger price and taste but nothing too remarkable. The chicken schwarma was a bit bland but fine and healthy I'm sure. The fries were the best part of this meal - crunchy and coated with something extra to make it super delish. I'm not a lobster roll person so maybe that's the best thing on their menu. The MIL said this lobster roll was better than Kapa Hale's. Anyhow will prolly be back and maybe I'll try to find other things on the menu. Or just order lots of sauces for myself when my family is craving lobster roll. read more
"We all eat, and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly." - Anna Thomas Feast by local Chef Jon Matsubara is one such restaurant where you can taste and enjoy affordable working-man food that is delicious, comforting and nutritious but is prepared with sprinklings of haute cuisine techniques. During COVID-19, this restaurant is only serving takeout meals which I'm sure will develop into a cozy dine-in once the pandemic's viral load is "controlled" from a building in Mānoa. The menu is somewhat minimalistic with specials of the day but still offers a good variety of soups to desserts. We have dined at Chef Matsubara's previous local pop-up at Café Anasia and at some of the local upscale restaurants (Stage, Japengo and Azure) where he continually developed his cooking chops so it was just a matter of time for us to jump onboard to his first solo venture. Feast in Mānoa is located at the corner of Lowrey Avenue and East Mānoa Road. There isn't a parking lot but you should be able to find street parking on either Lowrey Avenue (DO NOT PARK ON THE BRIDGE) or along East Mānoa Road. Due to its popularity, I would suggest that you come here with another person as you can tag-team your pick up if there's no parking available. Another tip is to phone in your order and they'll provide you an estimated pick-up time. I phoned-in our lunch order for TWO of their hot-selling Maine lobster rolls shortly after 11 am and since the female who took my order said that it would take about 15 minutes to prepare, I asked to have our order ready around 11:35 am which would allow them time to prepare and pack the lunch plates and for us to drive into the Mānoa neighborhood. Easy-peasy... as we arrived at 11:30 am, I jumped out from our car and strolled into a crowded yet socially distanced restaurant. I gave my name to the cashier who promptly checked the takeout packages on a side table where he separated our order from the rest. I paid and within a few minutes was out at our car. I tore open our package and opened our lunch boxes as I didn't want the French fries that are included with the lobster roll to get soggy on the ride home. Oh, the delicious aromas permeated our car and I so wanted to take a bite of my lobster roll or even sneak a taste of the crisp French fries. FOOD: - Lobster Roll with Fries Special: 4 oz of fresh lobster claw meat mixed in Chef Matsubara's "umami mayonnaise" was sandwiched in between grilled buttered Hawaiian sweet bread rolls and topped with fresh dill weed and lemon wedge sat upon a bed of crisp fried shoestring fries. The lobster was tender and succulent with just enough umami mayonnaise to bind and maintain the lobster's moistness in the grilled buttered sweet bread rolls. A light squeeze from the lemon wedge over the lobster brightened the already flavorful mixture. We enjoyed the crisp fried shoestring fries while dipping them into the container of ketchup. We don't keep or use ketchup at home so the fries and ketchup seemed unusually tasty. Amazingly, as packed as these lobster rolls were, none of the filling fell out while biting into the roll but had any fallen out, we would've used plastic utensils that were included in out lunchbox. $21 These lobster rolls were so delicious that I would dare say that it tasted better than those that I've eaten at Cousins (Beverly Hills), Luke's Lobster Back Bay (Boston, MA) or Claws (Rockland, ME). You should try this quintessential "Summer on a bun" treat before the season is out. We're already looking forward to returning for their other menu items such as the Big Mac Bara, JFC (Jonny's Fried Chicken) and or Chicharrones. read more

Great food, location, and easy online ordering system. We tried the following: Lobster Roll and fries: Great taste and would buy again. Hilo style hamburger steak: burger was moist and soft, gravel was good. Kula mix green salad: house dressing was tasty. Butter Poached Crab & Bacon sandwich: crab was real meat and very tender. Salmon soba salad: salmon was firm and soba was ready to eat. Cookies: full with chocolate and Great taste. Would recommend to order online and them do curbside pick up in parking lot in the side street. read more

Coming from the Mainland I've tried A lot of Lobster Roll .. I work at a restaurant we sell those too .. But the way you made yours I'd say da best .. The flavor is soooo ONOLICIOUS . It can be a little pricy but it's worth it .. Will I come back ? Yes.... I'd recommend this .. I'll be back in January.. read more
Amazing lobster rolls & fries! Get them at Feast in Manoa! Opened in Sept. 2019, Feast is the brainchild of well-renowned Chef Jon Matsubara. A '91 Punahou grad, he enrolled in college on the Mainland to study law, but instead, turned to his passion of cooking by enrolling in the French Culinary Institute in New York. He returned to Hawaii, & without any hand-on experience, he started as a dishwasher at Alan Wong's & Roy's & learned what he could from these two restaurants. He then became chef at numerous local restaurants, leading them to many awards: Canoe House in Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, Stage, Azure in Royal Hawaiian, Japengo at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach, Forty Carats at Bloomingdale's Ala Moana, & Merriman's. Jon got his break by opening his first pop-up restaurant for lunch at his cousin's sports bar at Anasia in Moiliili in Oct. 2018. He then moved to Manoa, where he presently is now. You can say that Jon has come full circle, going to school at Punahou, catching crayfish in Manoa Stream after football practice, & is now back in Manoa in his first full-fledged restaurant! Feast's motto is "Refined Grinds," which Jon takes a fresh look at local comfort food that he grew up with, e.g., his McBara Burger is his version from W&M Burgers, his Sake Salmon Chazuke is his version from Izakaya Torae Torae, & his Chicharrones is his version of lechon kawali. He offers a selection of soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, & hot entrees to choose from, which are considered local fusion food that need not be fancy or trendy. For the past month, Feast has been running a special for a lobster roll + fries for $21, which has proven to be very popular & sells out quickly. It consists of 4 oz. of real lobster chunks & meat, umami mayo, scallions, & melted butter in a Kings Hawaiian sweet bread roll & garnished with a wedge of Shinsato Farms Meyer lemon, plus crispy shoestring fries. An absolute winner & talking about being in lobster heaven! A generous amount of succulent, tender & sweet lobster meat, enhanced with melted butter & just the right amount umami mayo, made this roll to die for! And the fries! Love the thin & tasty crispy shoestring fries dipped in ketchup that are so addictive! A definitely must-have! Staff noted that the lobster roll may be around for a bit longer due to its popularity with its customers. I look forward in returning to try Feast's other regular offerings: Sake Salmon Chazuke, McBara Burger, Salmon Soba Noodle Salad, Chicharrones, Hilo-Style Hamburger Steak, Jonny's Fried Chicken, & others. I also look forward to trying his periodic specials: Butter-Poached Crab & Bacon Sandwich, Kiawe Smoked Steak & Cheese Sandwich, Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, & others. (Note that I did try a few items when Feast was previously located in Moiliili. but did not care for them. Hope that was just an off day, so now I'm back!) During this COVID lockdown, everything is take-out or delivery only. Best to order online or call in your order to ensure the menu item is not sold out. It was about 12 noon, & I was ordering online for the lobster roll for pickup at 1p. When I tried to check out, it noted that it was not available until 2p. So I called Feast directly, & they told me that 1p was okay to pick up, as the system automatically goes to the next available time when a maximum number is reached. Nothing like doing it the old school way with their helpful &friendly staff! You can also walk in & order at the counter. Masks & social distancing are required. Feast is open Tues. to Sat., 11a-2p & 4p-6p. Be sure to request disposable utensils, as they are on request only. This practice appears to be in anticipation of the upcoming ban of single-use disposable plastics on Oahu in 2021 & 2022. Feast is housed in a 2,000 sq. ft. brick Mediterranean-style building with lovely arches & a colorful decorated tile floor that was built by the Olive Tree Café owner who unexpectedly passed away & did not expand his Mediterranean cuisine. This building became the perfect opportunity for Jon to open his first brick-&-mortar restaurant, which he waited for 10 years to happen. Its walls are decorated with Japanese-style geisha silhouette paintings in showcasing the local artist Chanel Tanaka, & whose paintings are available for sale. Located at the corner of East Manoa Rd. & Lowrey Ave., the only parking available is street parking or double-parking in their rear driveway. And to end this review with a positive note, Jon is quoted, "You have to prepare to give up who you are for what you can become." Not only in listening to his customers' tastes, but he has a good heart in giving back to the community. During COVID, he and his staff recently prepared 1,200 bentos that were given to six major hospital healthcare workers. Support this local chef who will make HI proud in the worldwide food industry! Heard so much hype on the lobster roll. But it was skimpy. One small piece of claw meat and 3 tablespoons of lesser quality leg meat. Bun was not buttered or toasted; it was straight from the package. Fries were crispy and not greasy, but cold; even the one I ate on the way back to my car was already cold. Sigh. Edit: copied published photo from business to compare to the sad little lobster roll that I received. I didn't expect it to look as good as their photo, but I did expect more than I got. read more

COVID REVIEW: We ordered lobster rolls for my BF's dad's bday and man... THEY WERE GOOD! Usually lobster rolls are so rich and buttery that you feel like bleh afterwards but I felt like I could eat 3 more lobster rolls, it was THAT good! I reserved the rolls for pick up two days in advance to be safe! And those fries though....ate the whole thing. Their website is a bit confusing as you select the lobster roll associated with a time but not a date, so I was like wait I hope I'm ordering for the correct day... I called to confirm and it turned out it was all good! Definitely recommend reserving them driving by to grab it real quick. HIGH RECOMMEND THESE! It was a def a nice treat during this weird times. YUM, YUM, YUM! (I think my tummy just grumbled thinking about it). P.s. I'm sorry I was SO EXCITED to try the rolls that I only thought to take a pic half way through. Whoops! read more

Ordered curbside pick up from here this past weekend. I ordered online before they opened and was notified my meal would be ready to pick up at 11:45a. Food came out right on time and was super convenient. Restaurant is kitty corner to the gas station and they have a sign in front so you know where to wait. The roll was delicious! It was ~$25 but they really pile the lobster on. Lobster was super succulent and the fries were nice and crispy. Definitely can't come to eat this all the time but a good "treat yourself" meal. read more

Cyndy's Bottom Line: It was all about the lobster roll until I ate it. I was so interested in trying the infamous lobster roll at Feast. The pictures of the lobster rolls look so ono that captures your taste buds. I ordered two lobster rolls online to be ready at 11:15. Got there early and parked in the residential area since the parking lot at Feast can only hold two cars. I arrived upon opening and checked in at the host stand patiently waiting for my lobster rolls. I ended up being the first person there and last to receive my food as I ordered it online. Ok, no problem. Walked backed to my car and opened up the container to get a peek of my lobster roll with fries. Ok, the roll is grilled nicely and there is a cute amount of lobster in it with a lime wedge. But why is the lobster orange in color, who knows. The fries were crispy, and delicious. First bite of the lobster roll and then a second bite and a third bite made me think why was there so much hype? Perhaps Feast is the only place on island that serves lobster rolls. read more

Online ordering was very easy and I ordered my food the night before. I opted to get text updates but only got an update that my food will be 15 mins later than the original pick up time I had chosen. I did not get a message that my food was ready so I just walked in the restaurant and they already had my package sitting in the pick up area. It was my first time eating a lobster roll sandwich so I really don't have anything compared to, but it was yummy and made me want to try lobster rolls from other restaurants! My parents also liked the chicharrones. However, I wasn't a fan of JFC.... it seemed dry and the chicken was a little tough. After hearing about this place and seeing all the pictures, I just had to try the famous lobster roll. Was it worth the $21.00??? Sorry Feast but I have to say not quite. The lobster was tasty and juicy. It seemed as if the lobster was just placed on the bread which was nothing great and wasn't tasty. The fries were cold, not even a bit warm. My lobster roll didn't look anything like the picture they advertise. We also ordered the double burger. That was a very very tasty homemade burger with bacon. Fries were cold as well. We also ordered the crab sandwich. Crab was brown with one slice of bacon. It was just ok. Definitely glad we tried this place but not sure it was worth the price. We did a take out order 2 weeks ago and ordered lobster rolls. Those lobster rolls were delicious. The chunks and lobster pieces were big and the rolls just melt in your mouth. Very tasty. The fries were okay but eating the lobster rolls filled our tummies. We were very content! read more

WOW okay, so if you've read any of my past reviews (or know me irl lol), then you know that I have this weird thing against one of America's favorite foods: fried chicken. So.. as much was I wanted to try Feast, nothing on the menu was really "calling out to me" so I decided to try the JFC just because of the firebird sauce. Boy, am I glad that I did - highly, highly recommend! It's not overly oily or overly breaded, hallelujah. The chicken is juicy and has just the right balance of meat to breading ratio. AND the firebird sauce really puts Raising Cane's to shame (not that I don't also love Raising Cane's sauce), but this sauce is just bomb. Now that I'm done raving about fried chicken (for once in my life).. the fish of the day sauce is SO SO GOOD. Literally lapped up every bit of it. Seems to be a bit controversial here on Yelp, but yes, I also loved the keto mac salad. I don't even like cauliflower, so this came as a major surprise; but, I thought it was flavorful and the cauliflower worked surprisingly well as a macaroni replacement (didn't get mushy or soggy, held its texture well, crunchy). Parking here does suck. Because of the COVID-19 situation, I was doing take-out anyway so I ran out to pick up our food while my mom waited in the car, but I wouldn't let the sucky parking situation stop you from coming. Manoa is super suburban, so there's always safe street parking available. As for the prices, I really didn't find it too pricey given the quality of the food, portion sizes, and y'know the chef (Jon Matsubara!!!). Point being: TRY IT. It's not trendy, menu is somewhat limited right now, but who cares - the food is amazing. read more
Alright, I've been patiently waiting to try these lobster rolls and I finally had my opportunity! I wanted to wait a little since the hype was real with all the foodies blogs up. With the pandemic happening, a lot of eateries have added convenient online ordering and curbside pickup. I absolutely LOVE these options as now you can schedule your time and don't have to wait around. Ordering was simple. For lobster rolls only, You select the time option with the order as they only sell so many per slot. Options given once added in your box is if you'd like it spicy or not. Decided to go with the regular as I can always add spice at home. You can add butter and sauce at an additional cost on the side as well. When you arrive at their location, you are asked to call the number to let them know you're here. Luckily, since I had my pickup order as soon as they opened for dinner, no one else was waiting, so I was able to park behind the shop... FYI, it only fits 4 cars but you can park along the curb to wait also. As the person who answered the phone alerted me that my order wasn't ready and to wait for a bit. It was like an extra 10 mins, it's ok. I had a bit to travel from manoa until I could eat my rolls. I could smell the aroma of French fries as I hurried home. Smelt divine! As I got hope, the fries and bread were already cold, which I anticipated. However, the fries were rock hard! Like how they get when you double or triple fry them... this is where the one star deduction comes to play. The lobster roll though was still amazing! Even though it was cold, the sweet rolls were still a little crunchy and nice and buttery and soft. The main star, the lobster, was amazing! It comes with a little sprig of dill and a wedge of lemon to squeeze. But you really don't need it as the flavor of the lobster is perfect! All in all the roll was all that you can imagine. I finally tried Feast for the first time and I had an ahi pesto salad. It had layers of flavor, including a good size piece of ahi with pesto over it, 2-3 slices of hard boiled egg, really good green olives, radish slices, tomato wheels, capers, mixed greens (more than I could finish), quinoa, potato wedges, & a very good basalmic vinaigrette dressing. For $18.95 it was worth every penny! I'm definitely going back and want to try their lobster roll. I've never had one, and have been wanting to try one. The reviews on them look great. read more
Made our way into Manoa today, to try the "keto bento" that I seen on Instagram and is promoted by Dr. Jodi from the keto prescription health clinic. Unfortunately I went to order it and it's not available as they have new specials. I was bummed because I just seen her post last night promoting it and saying she was gonna order one right now. Any how I opted for the Lechon with greens and keto Mac salad, my wife had a cheese burger and fries. She says and I quote "nothing really special about it"! My food was tasty and very delicious. But we drove off before checking our food and when we got to the park and opened my plate it wasn't what I ordered, I was given chicken wings!! so at $17.00 a plate you bet we had to go back. Then waited again as there seems to be a lot of confusion on orders and everything looked messed up! Hopefully they get it worked out. read more
