To be honest, I was sorta shocked that there wasn't a UPS Store in Hilo town…read more Whenever I travel for work, it's not uncommon for me when I fly to the neighbor islands that I pack alot of gear, & parts. After using my parts, I like to ship out the broken parts back to the mainland, that way I can avoid having to haul it back to Oahu. I have used the UPS Store in Kona, but since I was working in Hilo this time, the closest UPS Store was in Pahoa. Located at a small strip mall called "Puna Kai Shopping Center", you can find this little UPS Store just a stones throw from a McDonald's. Lots of free parking at the strip mall, so access is pretty easy. I walked into the store and was greeted right away. The friendly clerk processed my package, & gave me my receipt, and off I went. Although Pahoa is a little drive from Hilo town, at least this UPS Store provided a very valuable service to the Big Island community.

Plus da 1st guy tell me close 3:00pm but wrong day, when I went da next day, da second guy he tell me "No" 11:30am close for pickup". I tell um what I was told da day before, he shrug me off and he said "ah past 3:00pm anyways" (was 3:02pm...I was 2mins late, I get it, but why was I told 3pm da day before) Why no put exact pick up times, for vehicles and other items, on what days, on top of when da shipment gets there, cause I got 2 different answers, from 2 different people, on 2 different days. These fuel truck drivers demonstrated to BIR just how easy it is to drive heavy rigs laden with explosive cargo [fuel] down the Kawaihae Road, both safely and quietly. It can be done. The KuWaye drivers do just the opposite. BigIslandRadar.com has observed KuWaye drivers speeding through residential neighborhoods, on secondary roads, and on the highway. Today she gladly took all the people behind us in line (they weee not locals) and when I mentioned we were standing in line way before the people behind us came in she not only made excuses for not even acknowledging us in line & taking everyone behind us, she wouldn't stop going off about it. Her coworker Parker (also not a local) then chimed in and wouldn't stop until he told me to leave a review about their great customer service & I said I will once he gave me his name. I had to ask for it 3 times & then he finally quit his comments. When this location originally opened it was nice & helpful. Now, if rather drive to Hilo or Kona to get packages mailed out & Amazon returned. They clearly have something against Hawaiians & their entitled attitudes need to go!

I'm so happy that there was a UPS Store in Waimea town!…read more Driving from Kailua-Kona to Honoka'a, then making my last stop in Waimea, upon having lunch at the Parker Ranch Food Court, I noticed this UPS Store just a few doors down from the food court. Being that I had (5) boxes of broken parts I needed to send back state side, this UPS Store sure was a lifesaver! As I walked into the store I asked one of the clerks if I could borrow a hand truck, that way I could load up all my (5) boxes & bring it into the store one crack! I must say the staff here was friendly, and more than accommodating. The service here was efficient, as the clerk processed my (5) boxes quickly. One of my boxes wasn't packed up yet, as I ran out of shipping tape, but the nice thing about coming to this UPS Store is that they sold shipping supplies. I purchased a small roll of shipping tape, and I gotta say it was sorta pricey, but the convenience factor reflects the price you pay here. If I'm working in Waimea again, it's nice to know that there's a UPS Store here, that way it saves me a trip from having to go down to Kailua-Kona, or to Pahoa town.
