If you're looking for a nice cup of coffee or perhaps a sweet treat, and you're in the Rice Village area you should swing by Fellini Caffè This spot is just off the Rice Village beaten path, but close enough to all your favorite boutiques, restaurants, and other shops [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. If you choose outside there is some shade[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have all your signature espresso drinks, gelato, and a bunch of Italian (and other) dessert pastries. There is also alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages to choose from [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is nice and clean. Nothing too fancy, but inviting and plenty of AC.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is friendly and helpful Some tips: There is 2hr street parking nearby. You can also walk a few blocks out to Chaucer for additional parking. If you're like me and you love espresso AND gelato, opt for an affogato. You won't be disappointed Cheers!!

Update to my previous review. I wanted to come back to see if the. cioccalattini torte was as good as I remembered. It was.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute, classy, simple cafe vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Italian inspired cafe with your traditional coffees offering brunch options and gelato! They have a rotating special menu in the front so be sure to take a look at what they have if you want something more snazzy than a cup of coffee! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Limited seating inside with even less options close to an outlet so be wary if you are trying to study here for extended hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very limited free parking in the area. I ended up paying to park on the street.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was great, my wife and i met up with some friends and got some coffee and some sweets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend the creme brûlée.

I got a baklava and it was super dense and sweet. I wanted to try there other pastries but everything was a bit expensive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a lot of seating on the inside with plugs which is good for working but it can get a bit loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The workers were nice and explained the pastries to us well.

Had the ricotta beignet, chocolate truffle, espresso shakerato, and tomato basil soup. All incredible...that soup is better than La Madeleine even! I like sweet coffee so the espresso shakerato was delicious and texture was amazing but I will def ask for maybe a splash of syrup next time (completely a personal preference). But even for a sweet coffee drinker, it was super smooth and had a hint of sweet hazelnut. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sat outdoor and atmosphere in this area is perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of paid street parking and free 2 hour street parking. Great find off the main street area.

Good Italian pastries but the coffee wasn't stellar. We got the pistachio cannoli - 5/5, perfectly flaky cannoli shell with fresh piped cream Pistachio diplomatica - 4/5, the cream and cake were good and moist but the pastry on top was a little dry Coffees were only okay. The staff was initially pleasant but they got some of our order wrong and argued with us after one thing so we didn't even bother correcting the second time. There are some seating options inside and a little area outside which was nice to sit on a pleasant day.

A very cute Italian cafe in the heart of Rice Village and as can be expected kinda expensive. We were hungry after all the morning walk in Hermann Park and made a big order of Latte with extra shot, Caprese avocado toast, pistachio biscotti, and a fruit tart. Afterall, I had to make up for the 200 calories I burned just now .... Lol We took the little private looking booth inside the cafe, but they do have plenty seating area outside as well. Loved the toast, it's literally avocado on toast, but with the cheese and balsamic vinegar on top, it really came together as a light tasty healthy breakfast The biscotti was ok. Coffee was nice, but I should mention extra hot next time. The tart , hmmm, was Not good. The crust was really hard, there was too much custard that had lost its moisture and was unsavory. Service was fast and they brought out the food to the table. The staff put on a professional behavior which is perfectly acceptable by me. What I loved even more free parking (but limited) in an area which had plenty shade for my precious new car, maybe that time of the day..... whatever, but that felt welcoming.

Been here once before years back. Nice to find a cafe that's open late. Wasn't too packed and it was quiet and a good temperature inside which I enjoyed & it made us comfortable to hang out for a while. I just got a flourless chocolate cake and cappuccino. Cake was sooo good and a nice size slice. Cappuccino was below average though and since it's a cafe that's kinda disappointing. My friend said her chai latte tasted like milk as well. Probably will come back as they have some cool affogato and coffee options I'd like to try!

This used to be one of my favorite spot in the Rice Village. Yesterday we came here for coffee and desserts after eating at Kasra. The place has not been the same. Slow service and staffs didn't look friendly. We had the puff pastry strawberry and it taste like it had been in the glass window for many days. We ordered some tea and coffee and it took a long time even though it was almost closing time and there were no one at the ordering lines beside us. After this time , I don't think I want to come back anymore Coffee is not great and so the desserts

Met up with a friend here to hang out. This place has fantastic vibes. It's clean, fresh, and sharp. It was also not crowded, and it was easy to have a conversation comfortably. I got an affogato al cafe and it was good. They have a ton of gelato choices, and I recommend asking the staff for recommendations. The gelato was a little too sweet for my liking and it's a bit pricy (~$7), but you get 3 full scoops. Overall I had a positive experience here!

Items we tried: Pane - delicious Roasted Carrot Pizza - AMAZING, A little spicy, but definitely something we would order again. Pastas we ordered initially came out cold - our incredible waiter immediately corrected the issue. But from a flavor profile - Pansotti - sooooo delicious. You'd never guess that it was a vegetarian option - the mushrooms were so meaty. The delicate pouches with the spinach and ricotta were heavenly. Pappardelle - The lamb braised sauce had a depth of flavor that could rival any restaurant in Italy. My only tiny hope was that the pasta would have been served aldente, it was a little overcooked. But to each his own. Overall - really great. Would recommend. This would be great for a weeknight dinner or an off the beaten path date night.

The fresh red pepper offered at the table really kicked the flavor up a notch. Beet salad (8/10)- nice presentation. The fried cheese, tomatoes & candied pecans are a great complement to the beets and greens. Add the fresh cracked black pepper offered by the server. Seafood lasagna (8/10) - the seafood is not lacking! Its very seafood-forward. Salmon, shrimp, clams. You definitely know you are eating seafood. The cheese/seafood/pasta/sauce ratio is spot on, well balanced. It felt more like a seafood dish than a lasagna/pasta dish. My only complaint (and it's not really a negative) is I was in the mood for lasagna & after eating this dish, although it was very good, I still had a hankering for lasagna. Other: - Service in general was good. Brunch Review: North Italia HTX (Post Oak)…read more North Italia is one of those restaurants that never misses. Every visit is consistent, from the service to the food, which is why it's one of my favorite brunch spots. Our group was seated right away in a great location that really let us enjoy the atmosphere. While our waitress could have been a little more attentive, it seemed she was juggling several tables, so overall the service was still pleasant. We started with the Truffle Garlic Bread, and it was absolutely amazing--warm pull-apart bread with truffle oil, melted cheese, and buttery goodness. We also shared the Italian Donuts, which are their take on beignets, and they were delicious. For brunch, I ordered the Steak & Eggs and the French Toast. The French toast was unlike any I've had before--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly sweet, and topped with fresh strawberries. It didn't even need syrup. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The eggs had a flavor that just wasn't for me, but the roasted potatoes with sun-dried tomatoes were excellent. To drink, I enjoyed the Rosé Sangria, beautifully garnished with strawberries and cucumber. It was sweet, refreshing, and perfect for a hot summer day. North Italia also offers a fantastic 2 for $25 special that includes an appetizer and entrée, making it a great value. Before leaving, I ordered the Bolognese to take home for my family, and it was just as delicious as expected. Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, the atmosphere was great, and the food was consistently excellent. North Italia continues to be one of my favorite brunch destinations, and I'll definitely be back. Rating: 9.5/10 Would I return? Absolutely!

Eggplant parm (small plate): 3/5 most cheese and very little eggplant. The flavor was good. My waitress told me it came with noodles but then no noodles came out. I know this place is popular and everyone seems to like it. I would try it one more time just to see if maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but overall I didn't think it was worth the money.

We ordered the tiramisu for dessert, and nowhere on the menu did it mention that it was served with a slice of kiwi hidden underneath the whipped cream. I'm allergic to kiwi, and because it was completely covered, I didn't realize it was there until after I had already taken a bite. I brought this to our server's attention, not because I was looking for a discount or anything free, but simply because I wanted the staff to be aware so this wouldn't happen to another customer with a food allergy. Instead, the first response I received was asking if I had read the menu, which I had. Unfortunately, the menu never mentioned kiwi being part of the dessert. What really bothered me was overhearing the conversation afterward. Our server spoke with another staff member a few booths away, and I heard comments along the lines of, "Well, he should've mentioned his allergy," and "He should've asked." It felt like the responsibility was being placed entirely on me rather than acknowledging that an undisclosed ingredient had been served. I understand that customers with allergies should communicate them whenever possible, but I also think restaurants have a responsibility to disclose ingredients that aren't typically expected, especially when they're hidden in the presentation. I've had tiramisu many times and have never encountered one served with kiwi tucked beneath whipped cream. Again, the food itself was good, and this review isn't about trying to get compensation. I genuinely wanted to help prevent a similar situation for someone else. Unfortunately, the way my concern was handled left me feeling dismissed and caused me to lose confidence in the restaurant's approach to food allergies.
