I've been here a couple of times now and have enjoyed it each time. The first time I went, I wasn't sure how big the pizza slices were, so I ordered two slices of the Fellini's special. Needless to say, I could only finish one slice. They sure do pile the toppings high. I chose Fellini's after seeing so many 4 and 5 star reviews, but I can't rate them so high. Meh. There's a lot to like: good service, clean interior, ample seating both indoors and out, decent beer on draft, and upbeat music. The big letdown was the quality of the pizza. I got a large half spinach & mushroom and half special. The ingredients were so-so, but it was really hard to tell what was on the pizza because of the mountain of cheese that was melted on top. This made the pizza a "fork and knife" version, rather than one with slices you can pick up with your hands and eat. I'd rather go to the Mellow Mushrooms in Tucker or Emory, pay a few dollars more, and receive a noticeable improvement in freshness and quality. read more

I don't typically eat pizza, however, I was in the mood for it. I had heard several people talk about Fellini's so I thought I would give it a try. I love that you can order by the slice. I ended up getting the mushroom and spinach pizza and was not disappointed. It wasn't greasy at all and the ratio of sauce to cheese was perfect. This is my favorite Fellinis. I've been to that other one next to the La Fonda in buckhead and it was doodoo compared to this one!! The salads are very very good here. And we have gotten the Sicilian white pizza before and the regular crust pizza with spinach and both are typically very good. I had bad experiences at the other Fellinis, so I definitely recommend this one! Plus it's probably not as crowded, which is a win! read more

This Fellini's is always great! Clean, comfortable, and family oriented! And of course the food is always prepared well and delicious! The staff is exceptional as well! I came in on a Sunday afternoon after calling in 2 Sicilian slices which were ready as soon as I walked in. After pulling out my wallet to pay for my slices. The cashier accidentally dropped my food on the ground and I saw his face drop as well. He immediately apologized and told me they would make 2 new slices right away. I felt so bad for him because it was an accident and it really wasn't a big deal to me but I appreciated the quick response and friendly attitude! Another cashier continued to ring me out and even offered me a "managers" discount which I thought was awesome as well! I sat for a few moments and my pizza came right out. I normally don't write reviews but as a member of the service industry myself I appreciate when I get good service and I feel like it always should be reviewed when someone does their job and goes out of their way for the guests! Concerning Lavista Fellini's location, aside from a bad experience we had today, I have to say that it's unfortunate Fellini's has definitely changed how they make their pies. The crust is thinner and way less flavorful and the last time we ordered a to-go pie the ingredients were half of what we usually get. Clearly they are trying to cut back unfortunately. Today we went to eat in the restaurant and ordered a large pie splitting the ingredients, we were very specific to have cheese only on one side since my husband HATES cheese. This was made VERY VERY clear and when our pie came to the table there was cheese on the entire pie. Mind you this is after waiting 15 to 20 minutes. I understand mistakes can be made over the phone, but in person is not acceptable. The worst part is, the manager is the one who made the pie and made the mistake and he did not have the courtesy to give us the mistake pie so some of us could start eating and make the correct pie, which is what we paid for. Restaurant policy is that any food taken to a table and returned must be thrown out, can't even be resold, so the pie was wasted regardless and should have been given to us. I guess we will be trying out Mellow Mushroom again, since we had stopped going there due to incredibly slow service and many many order mistakes. We are very very disappointed! read more

I ate a large cheese pizza and meat lovers supreme (something along those lines). If you like beer they have a simple variety of beer and wine. I think a simple large starts at $20s. Horrible service. During my lunch break, I waited 35 minutes for two slices of pizza that never came out. When I asked about my food, the manager, who seemed to be annoyed that I was even asking, said they were very busy and he couldn't give me an estimated time frame of when my food would be ready. We love the Lavista location. The pizza is delicious and the outdoor seating makes for a delightful experience. I love the veggie pizza.

Just tried this place for the first time the other day with my boss and I was impressed. The italian sausage pizza was really good, I like the crispy crust and the house salad was to die for too- they do put a lot of cheese on it. A pretty solid chain here in the Atlanta area. I was going in hoping to be blown away, but came away full but not overly impressed. However, we had our daughter with us and could only be so experimental with our order, so I'll admit to not being able to be too adventurous with the menu. Having experience with this kind of local specialized pizza chain concept (Bazbeaux Pizza in Indianapolis comes to mind), I think it's a great alternative to the national chains, but I can't say I had my doors blown off. Def worth a try if you want to escape the Pizza Hut and Dominoes ruts. read more

There are a lot more kids here since its located in a neighborhood off lavista rd so it tends to be pretty busy on the weekends and some random week nights. Lots of parking though and great staff! The wait time and the cost were both reasonable, two slices and two drinks for around $15. This must be the ultimate Fellini's location for family. Friday nights are packed, loud, and boisterous. If you have kids, it's awesome! For the warmer months, there's a great fountain out front, and a large partial garage door opens the interior up to the outside breezes. There are a lot of these things, called Fellinis. But we come here for car meets sometimes. also, easy access to Bruster's.... just saying. Anyways, Sicilian slices are where it's AT! Such fluffy crust! But crunchy! and one slice is huge! get whatever toppings you want on it. Get a Calzone, all that is good. And their kitchen guys turn it over fast, you're never complaining about taking an hour to get a slice. Their salads are pretty huge also. This location has a frozen yogurt bar, which I have no idea if others do or how long that's been there, it always look amazing but we choose bruster's over the froyo. They've got some draft beers here too, which you know goes perfectly with the Hawks game and a Sicilian slice. read more

I was home for Christmas and needed sustenance with the fam after landing at Hartsfield, MARTA-ing to the car rental and taking 45 minutes to drive a few miles. This is just as good now at their newest location as it was at the original Ponce location as a poor and/or hungover college student :-) Not for culinary snobs, but a great place to fill your gut, chill, and make memories. I love this place. I like that it's open late. I usually visit after 8. I either get the special or the Hawaiian. Both are delicious. You can get a huge slice of pizza and a coke for under $5, which is helpful in those moments in life when you are feeling poor, which seem to come by all too frequently. I either sit in one of the booths by the main entrance or out on the patio by the lovely fountain, which gives off this ethereal green-blue glow. While you wait for a few minutes for the nice staff people to make your pizza, you get to take a little plastic photo frame as a placeholder decorated with funny pictures and words (I imagine so they can tell if you've been served and who gets what). Last time, it had a picture of a turtle and something about a turtle (tortuga!) being on the floor in spanish. They also serve alcohol. The wine is very limited; it's either "red" or "white." The red is actually pretty good, and that is coming from someone who doesn't buy a bottle under $15. read more

They have pretty good pizza, pretty average prices compared to other pizza joints. This Fellini's isn't my favorite, simply because of the fact that there are way more children running around at this location than others. I don't hate children, I just prefer not to eat and try to converse with people at my table while 4 kids are playing tag around my table. This has happened numerous times I have gone. I do understand that this one is basically smack dab in the middle of a neighbor hood though, it's just the closest one to my apartment. My favorite Fellini's is the one on Howell Mill, 2nd to the one on Ponce de Leon. I love how late they are all open as well. Every Fellini's I have gone to, which is just about all of them, has very nice wait staff, very laid back. They are all clean. I've never had much of a problem waiting in line to order or finding a place to sit. I give this Fellini's a 3.5, because it's not quite the atmosphere that I like, compared to the other locations I have been and the pizza is better than most places. read more
