This is an overall rating of a regular maintenance and a follow-up service in F.H dailey servicing department. If you still want to go to this dealer for services after reading this story please think twice. I sent my camaro to F.H. Dailey for regular maintenance in February (now I start regretting to give 5 star rating at that time) because it's the only chevy dealer that offer service appointment on Saturday. Fairly speaking, the maintenance service is quick and on time which you don't really need to wait if you show up at the time you are told to pick up. But after the service, I realized the engine light is on, and the car engine started shaking in low speed gear shift after several rides. So I sent an email to a sale rep who helped to confirm my maintenance appointment and she said she will help to schedule another appointment for this. Yet after a week I haven't received any confirmation so I decided to schedule another appointment online by my own. Fast forward to March 13th, I brought the car to service in F.H. Dailey and told the sale rep about the whole story. After inspection by technician, he told me one of the oxygen sensor is off and need to be replaced. The replacement is not part of the service warranty which means I need to pay out from pocket. I requested to check when the engine light started becoming on and he said they cannot verify it. It is definitely my oversight that I didn't tell the technician immediately that the engine light is on. But the engine light never come up before the regular maintenance, as listed in the technician inspection report. I understand that car parts are consumable and need to be replaced one day. But it doesn't make any sense that I need to pay out of my pocket because of some technician's faults. I am totally disappointed on the overall services in last two months. Will definitely not go back to this dealership again and will not recommend to anyone. read more

I just had a sickening experience trying to buy the 2021 Corvette at Novato Chevrolet, which has the same owner as FH Dailey Chevrolet. I put in an order last year, configured the vehicle and left a deposit at Novato Chevrolet. The agreed price was MSRP. After waiting months for the car to arrive, they now demand $30,000 OVER MSRP to give me the car I ordered. They say that they need to make more money on me, since they haven't been able to sell many Corvettes due to manufacturing issues - - so they need me to pay for the profit they didn't make by selling more Corvettes. I emailed FH Dailey on Friday evening 5/8/20 about a specific vehicle listed on their website and CarGurus.com. I received an email back first thing Saturday morning from Alfonso Sandoval. He promptly answered all of my many questions and seemed eager for my business but was in no way pushy. The dealership was far away from my house so I asked him to verify specific details about the car and to send additional photos not posted online. He happily obliged in a timely manner. I arrived at the dealership in the early evening for a test drive. I immediately fell in love with the car and decided to move forward with my purchase. Alfonso fully explained the process to us, and applying for financing was very simple and easy. We negotiated back and forth a few times and ended up with the EXACT terms and payment that we wanted. They were even able to lower our interest so that we could afford a platinum warranty from Chevy. Every single employee we encountered was so friendly and professional, I have never had such a good interaction at a car dealership. Frustrating experience buying a new car. Sales person ignored the options I wanted. Simply offered a car lacking many of these options. When I pointed out the missing options he said he would find me the right car. Then offered another car STILL missing options. I purchased the car with the understanding that the missing options would be installed. One option, important to us, was NEVER installed. They made minimal efforts to address the problem despite repeated communication from me. They were also inconsiderable with our time. I scheduled a time to pickup the car, asking them what would be convenient for them to have things ready. Car was not ready. We waited an hour. Similar thing happened earlier. Lots of waiting, poor communication, little consideration. Also pretty nasty was the pressure tactic related to extended warranty. With no advance warning we were offered the warranty with the warning that if we didn't accept and later changed our minds we would pay a $250 application fee. I complained and they offered an extra 2 days but then STILL the $250 application fee thereafter. read more

Sam at FH Daily is a wonderful service advisor, who understood the intermittent problem my Volt was having (shift to park) and got it right in for service, which was covered under warranty. I would give FH Daily 5 start, but I brought the car in earlier for this problem and had a difficult time with a different service advisor. This place is a SCAM!!! Robbing honest people of their hard earned money. I took my truck in and they diagnosed it with a transmission issue. After much debate and $6500 later, they changed my transmission. It was great for two weeks and the problem happened again!!! I took it in and they said they DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT!!! Didn't they just charge me $6500 to solve a problem they "don't know" about!!! Now one month later, I started to hear a rattling noise. Brought it in and they said something was lose (keep in mind they dismantled my truck to change the transmission and this problem was NON EXISTENT before this change!) and they charged me $125 service fee..... Now guess what! The noise is back and they want to charge me the $125 service fee and drop off my truck so they can "take a look at it" they've look at my truck four times now and they can't figure it out but I've paid them every time. DO NOT BRING YPUR VEHICLE HERE! YOU WILL BE ROBBED! They will take your money AND NOT solve any issues!! This place is ridiculous the people are rude and their service is disgusting! read more

I bought a Sonic from a dealership in another state, and want to keep it in the best possible shape. This clown car of a service department is no longer the way to do that. I made an appointment for the routine 15k mile inspection, dropped the car off, and 3 hours later they haven't even looked at it. I had things to do, so I picked up the car and moved on with my life. Then I get an email from the mother lovers saying I "missed my appointment". *Classy*(heavy sarcasm) Disrespectful. No regard for people's time or needs. I will say that Francis was able to work out warranty coverage for an issue I had a few months back and that's why they have 2 stars instead of 1. Brought my silverado here to get my fuel filter replaced, called in to make appointment two weeks ago. Waited over an hour before they even started. Once the car was picked up I set a timer, 36 minutes until it was brought back and I was charged 230$ of labor to screw in a 41$ part that can be bought straight from gm. These guys are smoking rocks. Dealer mark up here is insane, go to a different Chevy dealer. If I wanted to get robbed I would have left my wallet on my console over night parked at lake merrit. I normally would have went to Fremont Chevy since their customer service is way better than this place but nevertheless since live so close by and Bart is just a walk away, I decided to come here due to a major repair. I am not sure what the main cause that is plaguing this place but you always get this unwelcoming feeling and have to argue with the service advisors as they always have to challenge you on something regardless of how petty and mundane. Mike is a man of his word. I applied for a loan online. He called me the next day and said I was approved by 5 banks and to come in and I will drive off with a card and to come by 5pm. (I was so hesitant because other dealers said that and I get down there and spend hours giving them my info, test driving a car then at the last minute telling me I wasn't approved for a loan.) . I have purchased multiple vehicles from other dealerships in the past and I've never had such a bad experience as I did here. They sold us a problematic Silverado that we took back to try to get it fixed within 3 days of purchasing it because after the first day of having it, it began presenting serious issues. We were shocked when the service and sales department refused to fix it! The service department is about a mile away from the main dealership on Marina Blvd. At 10:30am sure had a lot of cars lined up - I think many people were getting their car ready for holiday travel. I decided to put off some maintenance as it was so busy. I plan to go earlier or make an appointment but I do appreciate that they allow walk ins in the first place. Mercedes Oakland for example usually never take walk ins. As I was there I did utilize the parts department. It was next to the waiting room area for the service department. Fast and efficient was the parts department. The parts people are always the biggest car enthusiasts. Be sure and hit them up with any questions. They have all sorts of cleaning supplies and leather conditioner on discount at the moment. The waiting room did look a bit small but it seemed to get the job done. Parking seemed scarce in this area. You know its time.... in fact its way overdue. Come here and let the experts change you oil to protect all your engine parts. read more

In 2016 I was shopping for the best price on a 2017 Chevy Volt. The Internet sales manager gave me the best price of any nearby dealer (without me having to visit the dealership). He also gave me a detailed breakdown showing each and every fee. About two years after buying it, a plastic exterior piece near the driver mirror appeared to be slowly "melting". It was certainly warped. Jerred Tong at FH Dailey's service department sent a photo to Chevrolet and got approval to fix it without charge. Then an adjacent plastic piece popped out. Again, he took a photo and got approval to fix it without charge. My only wish is that they were closer to my home in North Oakland. UPDATE MAY 2021: This weekend, a "Propulsion Power Reduced" message showed up on my dashboard. F.H. Daily told me they were backed up because one of their two Volt technicians was on vacation. What's more, there were dozens of Volts waiting to be serviced due to a recall. However, Jerred came through for me again. It was fixed within a day and a half. What's more, the repair was covered by the manufacturer's emissions warranty... 4-1/2 years after the purchase. read more

Service department is absolutely horrible. I was quoted 190 to get a window fixed on an 08 equinox. Service department called a couple hours after I dropped it off to raise the quote to just under 1000. For. A. Window. I told them not to do anything, and I would pick it up the next day. Arrive to get my vehicle, and they said the 190 was for diagnostics even though I told them what the problem was, and what I wanted done. When I told them they didn't communicate properly the service manager replied with an "are you done?" Will never come back here again, and I recommend you pay your local mechanic a visit. read more

Usually I don't do dealerships. I'm not a fan of getting ripped off for services I can get elsewhere, just as good while saving money.. however, I had to come into the dealership for a recall item. It was extremely hard to get through via phone for some reason to this location. I called 5 times and left a message once, which no one ever got back to me about. Way to show your customers that they matter.. anyway, the 6th time I called I finally did get through to the lady who does the scheduling (whom I'd left a message for prior) and she scheduled me an appointment. I scheduled it first thing in the morning thinking no matter what I did it would take 3-4 hours, she quoted me 2-3 hours. I brought my vehicle in at the appointment time and was 20mts late due to their line for service customers. They should have a line or someone calling out to see if there are any customers in line that did schedule an appointment.. just a courtesy thought. I was checked in with minimal communication and told them I was going to wait in the waiting room.. I was quoted 2-3 hours... a service rep took my keys and handed me my estimation sheet. 50 minutes later I was being called up because my car was finished. I thought that was a nice turn of events!! So if you have to go in for service I highly recommend you schedule an appointment because that does apparently mean something to this particular dealership. I would seriously consider bringing my vehicle back here in the future for future work with that mechanic efficiency and service! I will just know going in that I don't expect to get much customer service from the registration desk. Also, let's not get carried away... but bring your own snacks - water - and entertainment with back up chargers because there are no plugs in the waiting area and only one TV for everyone to watch with a small scattering of magazines.. and if you are going early morning bring extra jackets it's pretty chilly in the waiting area. There is one bathroom for men and one for women so be courteous and schedule your appointment after your morning bathroom session AT YOUR OWN HOME... at least spritz some smell good scent from your back pocket if you absolutely must! read more

I've been a Chevy guy my entire life and come from a family that buys only GM as well. We didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday when it comes to buying new cars and having them serviced. Chad is the epitome of what a five-star sales person should be. After deciding to pull the trigger and buy a new truck (3500 Silverado) unfortunately no dealer in the bay area or surrounding 200 miles had what I was looking for. Thankfully I met Chad! He ended up ordering the specific truck I wanted with the packages that I needed. Never once did he pressure me to try and add on things that I didn't need or want, but was just very thorough at making sure I got the truck I wanted/needed. That's not what makes Chad such a great guy though and a five-star person. It's his attention to detail and customer service that makes him so awesome! Since I bought the truck his customer service has been top-notch. I have specifically waited to write a review to see how things would go. In the past when I've boughten vehicles after I'm done with the sales guy I never hear from him again. Chad is not like that, once you meet Chad he makes sure your taken care of for life. He's old school and goes above and beyond just selling you a new vehicle. Since buying the new truck he has called to make sure everything is up to my expectations and has even gone as far as setting up services for it and making sure that I'm in and out quickly. I have recommended many of my friends and family to Chad even if there not in the market to buy a new vehicle but just to have him set up the services for there own cars. Came here to buy a car in March 2017 as it was the closest Chevrolet dealership to where we live (Oakland). We had a couple of pleasurable test drives and decided on a Volt. Then everything went down hill from there when it came to the purchase. What's the worst car buying experience? Hours-long haggling, nickel and diming, etc, etc. Eventually, we left and went to Fremont Chevrolet. In one quick session, we were in and out with a Premium Volt at a reasonable price. A while later, it was time for our first service and so we decided to give FH Dailey another chance. We took the car in for an oil change and everything seemed fine. Then, less than a week later, the check engine light came on. Today, after my FIFTH call to see about having someone check on this, I'm done with FH Dailey. Takes multiple calls to get someone on the line to even find out about making an appointment. First time I called, it took me three tries to get through to someone. Apparently, it was a holiday week and apparently all technicians were on vacation? Just called again... after multiple attempts and waiting on hold, find out that the Volt technician is unavailable? Learn from my mistakes: Avoid FH Dailey! They don't provide a good experience for sales OR service. It's worth the drive to Fremont or Concord for fast and reasonable responses. read more

This is in regard to their service department which I found friendly and efficient. I had some routine maintenance done on my Bolt. I was welcomed quickly upon entry and immediately received the attention of my service advisor Francis (sp?) who was both personable and professional. In no time at all, he wrote up the service request and my car was whisked away, serviced and returned. Also worth mentioning was the payment process that was also fast, efficient and friendly. This is my third routine maintenance experience with them. They've all been smooth as silk. It's nice when auto service goes the way it should.
