    Pan Seared Potato Gnocchi
    Dineke T.

Loved the ambiance, my server was great. I came alone on a random Friday night around 8pm and there weren't many people seated inside. I had the gnocchi and ciabatta bread for the appetizer (very good, and I don't like mushrooms!), and lobster risotto with Brussels. 2 strong Le Frenchies to drink! Would love to come back with my friends.

AMAZING meal and experience at Fia. Yelp directed us here and it was just as great as other reviewers stated. Located in the Burgess Hotel, this hidden gem had me considering a return the next day. When I walked in I was stunned by the beautiful and intentional decor. Such a cute entry, bar, lobby and restaurant - made me wish I was staying at the hotel! We were seated promptly and received excellent service. We had an idea of what to order based on reviews, but the server provided additional recommendations. He was awesome. For starters, we shared pan-seared potato gnocchi with an order of grilled ciabatta on the side to soak up that delicious sauce. This is a must try!!! It was so good, I could have enjoyed it as my meal. The flavor was out of this world, the chef definitely got it right! I chose the braised lamb shank for my entree. Another banger. So tender it fell off the bone. Flavorful..Moist... SO good! The portion was huge too, it could be shared by two unless you have a big appetite. It was a whole meal for me another day. I can't say it enough, the chef really understands flavor profiles and how to make them come to life. Didn't order dessert, but I did have the coconut pecan old fashioned and Le Frenchie. Both were good but Le Frenchie was really my speed. Had the best time and experience here. I would visit in a heartbeat the next time I'm in Atlanta.

Melinda was the sweetest and so knowledgeable about the menu. She has excellent recommendations. Incredible food and service! I so regret modifying my lamb shank order to ask for potatoes instead of rice. It's swimming in the most delightfully flavorful sauce and I sure wish I had some rice. The fingerling potatoes are excellent as well. The cocktail recommended by the waitress is on point. I can't wait to come back next month and stay here. This might be my only place to eat! I was very skeptical about these reviews since this is the restaurant in my hotel. I usually stay away from restaurants in hotels. It's a beautiful space and has been packed both nights of my stay - Monday and Tuesday. I had to check it out. I bet this is packed on the weekends and would recommend a reservation during those times. There's a large bar area.

A beautiful relatively small restaurant inside of the Burgess hotel. Service was great, and all the food we ordered was delicious. We had the butternut squash soup, potato gnocchi, bread app, split the special of the wagyu Wellington and brussel sprouts. They accommodated my kids. My mom just said the sausage pasta wa just ok. Had a high chair and my 3 and 4 year old were able to get butter noddles and chicken tenders with fries. Even on a Friday it was easy to grab a last minute reservation.

Chef's Special Was a Hit Stopped in for dinner and tried the chef's special -- a creamy pasta dish with tender meat and perfectly cooked tagliatelle. It was rich, flavorful, and just the right portion to satisfy without overdoing it. The sauce clung to every ribbon of pasta like it knew what it was doing. The atmosphere had that "old luxury" vibe -- dim lighting, classic decor, and just enough quiet to hold a proper conversation. It felt intentional, like a throwback to when dining out was an experience, not a rush. I appreciated the slower pace and the focus on quality. Would absolutely return -- and next time, I'll be asking what the chef's got cooking before I look at the menu.

The moment you walk into this restaurant you're taken away by the decor! It's located inside the Burgess Hotel on Piedmont in Buckhead. There is valet parking. They have an open kitchen so you can see the chef and staff working away! The staff was nice and very attentive. The food was absolutely amazing in fact I'm craving the gnocchi as I type. It was so flavorful and worth the price! I also had the branzino, prepared to perfection! The mocktails were really good as well! My friends also enjoyed the spaghetti, octopus, & scallops. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fine dining experience with amazing food!

This is a gorgeous restaurant located inside of a really nice boutique hotel. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to snag seats at the bar before it got busy. For drinks we tried the butter pecan old fashioned which was really balanced but strong in a good way. For dinner we tried the shrimp appetizer, duck Special and the burger. Everything was delicious. The burger tasted like it was cooked on an open flame. I would deductible go back for cocktails or for dinner.

Great service. Easy location with free parking. I felt this was an expensive restaurant with gratuity at 20% automatically added for just two people. With 2 meals, a salad, 1 appetizer and one cocktail the bill was $180. The meal was not a $180 meal but decent enough quality and experience. Like the kitchen concept and fire grill but do not need to return.

Really doesn't get much better. Amazing food service and ambiance. We stayed at the hotel and was so glad we had this restaurant. The food was 5 stars and the wine was amazing. Dessert was spot on. The service is was really sent it to the next level. This is the place to eat!

Outside. Storefront. Main entrance and driveway. Fia Restaurant is located inside the Burgess Hotel. Free self-parking around the building.

I give Fia Restaurant 4.5 stars rounded up to 5. This restaurant lived up to the hype, for the most part. For a nice night out in Buckhead, this place fits the bill. The cuisine is New American and Mediterranean. Fia is pronounced "fee-uh." It's Italian for flickering flame or little fire. The restaurant opened in December 2019 inside the Burgess Hotel, a boutique hotel. The hotel's co-owner and executive chef is named Burges Jokhi. Burgess and Burges. Coincidence? Burges owns the place with his partner, Freny Jokhi. The hotel bar, Mr B Bar, was named after Freny's dad, Keki Bunshah. The Burgess used to be a Wingate by Wyndham. Initially, the Burgess was part of Wyndham's Trademark Collection. Now, it's in Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. Hotel restaurants are notoriously hit or miss. I'm happy to report Fia is one of the best hotel restaurants I've dined at in metro Atlanta and one of the better ones anywhere. Fia was named a Yelp Top 100 US Restaurant in 2022 (#32). Reservations are recommended. It was packed during our Saturday night visit. Those without a reservation either had to sit "outside" at the bar or wait until one of the last seatings of the night. That night, I noticed a walk-in party return to be seated around 9pm. Book your reservation using OpenTable and earn dining points which can be used to redeem restaurant discounts, Amazon gift cards, hotel stays, and more. Free self-parking is available on the sides and back of the hotel. For a hotel of this "caliber," the parking did strike us as a bit sketch at night. And getting from the parking lot to the front of the hotel involved walking onto the driveway and into traffic. Not the safest. The restaurant and hotel are gorgeous. It's a distinct, eclectic mix of both traditional and modern design, decorated with art from different cultures. It sounds gaudy, but they managed to pull it off. The international flair reminds me of The Consulate restaurant in Midtown. Fia's dining room is cozy and offers a variety of tables and seating -- white tablecloth, wood and stone surfaces, booths, banquettes, and armchairs. There's also an outdoor patio. During our dinner visit, the drink menu featured over a dozen cocktails from Mr B Bar plus wine and bottled and canned beer. The food menu had many salads and apps (e.g., Warm Goat Cheese & Tomato Tartlet, Grilled Giant Prawn), a handful of entrees (e.g., Braised Lamb Shank), several woodfired items (e.g., A5 Wagyu Ribeye, Bell & Evans Moroccan Chicken), and large sides. Here's what three of us had: Specialty Cocktails * Coconut Pecan Old Fashioned ($17) - coconut-washed bourbon, spiced pecan demerara, bitters * "Dirty" Martini ($18) - vodka, Italian vermouth, olives * Base Camp ($17) - vodka, rose nectar, grapefruit Wines by the Glass * Red / Cabernet ($17) - Katherine, Alexander Valley, CA 2021 Salads & Appetizers * Beets & Burrata ($18) - sherry balsamic vinaigrette, basil oil, pickled onion, toasted pistachios * Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi ($19) - beurre monte, white truffle, mushrooms, Parmesan cheese * Pork Belly ($17) - Jack and Coke glaze, heirloom grits * Charred Octopus ($19) - roasted pepper, artichoke, olives, capers, lemon, olive oil * Grilled Ciabatta ($7) - tomato-rubbed, chimichurri Entree * Pan-Seared New England Scallops ($37) - saffron risotto, artichoke, oven-roasted tomato, basil From the Fia Woodfired Grill * 8 oz Center-Cut Filet ($49) - cognac peppercorn sauce * Whole Branzino ($42) - fennel-citrus salad Shareable Side * Crispy Brussels Sprouts ($13) - pear gastrique Dessert * Bananas Foster ($15) - vanilla gelato Everything was excellent, both in taste and presentation. The plating was beautiful. Each dish was a work of art. The attention to detail was evident. The tableware was unique and artistic, some with colorful floral patterns. My favorites dishes were the Pan-Seared Potato Gnocchi, Pork Belly, and Pan-Seared New England Scallops. Between the mushrooms and cheese, the gnocchi dish was packed with umami. Buttery too, but not excessive. And the gnocchi had perfect texture. The quality of the pork belly was terrific. The meat and grits were delicious. The scallops were fresh and plump -- among the best I've had in recent memory. Together with the risotto and veggies, the dish was really tasty. If you like burrata and octopus, I recommend both the Beets & Burrata and Charred Octopus appetizers. They didn't disappoint. The beets were well seasoned. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The Grilled Ciabatta turned out to be a great recommendation from our server. It worked better as a side than an app. The Whole Branzino was well executed and fileted to have barely any bones, which I appreciated -- another wonderful dish. The Bananas Foster wasn't finished tableside, but was still fantastic. The drinks were superb as well. I enjoyed the "Dirty" Martini in particular and I usually don't like martinis. Our server Zoe S was amazing. She was very friendly and attentive.

Some of the best restaurants are in hotels. Anytime I am in town I have to go to Fia. The wood grilled fish is so fresh and light. Not pictured is the grilled octopus which also was great. Definitely a great dinner spot.

Gnocchi, 8/10 (l'm not a fan of mushrooms, but the sauce was delicious)

Are there any good vegan options?

Hi Teresa, We have lots of wonderful vegetables such as brussel sprouts, asparagus to name a few. We have a wonderful hummus and a spicy garbanzo bean stew. Hope this helps.…

Can I bring my own wine and if so, what is your corkage fee?

Hello Jerry, We allow a max of 2 bottles. Corkage is $35 per bottle.

(don’t mind my username) I have a question, what is the age limit? I have a feeling it’s for kids but I’m not for sure.

I doubt there's an age limit. The food is for grown ups, ie I don't there's a kids menu.

Burgess hotel. How is the food?

Amazing. Technically it's Fia's food not the hotels but the restaurant is inside the hotel and has the same owner.

Google pointed us to Yalda and I might be letting Google pick my restaurants for the forseeable future. Let's get into it! Location and Parking Yalda is located the bustling Aria Village in Sandy Spring, which is a small retail center that is home to quite a few businesses. Yalda offers valet parking or you can self-park for free in the garage. Venue and Atmosphere The restaurant was appropriately crowded on a Thursday night. It was warm that day so we opted to sit on the patio, which was almost full. The interior is beautiful. There's a semi-open kitchen - with a good view of the flames. The vibe teetered on between elevated and casual, either way you'd definitely fit in. Food and Drinks For drinks, my wife had the Mitra's Habibi which is a gin based cocktail and as always I stuck with bourbon had the Midnight Star. We started with the hummus and the Za'atar Labneh, both which were very good. The star of the show was the Soltani kabob we shared. It was marinated to perfection and cooked over the open flame. The basmati rice was fragrant and flavorful and paired nicely. We also shared the Shirazi salad, which added.a refreshing feel to the entree. Service Service was great. Our servers were professional and attentive. Verdict Always a lover of Mediterranean food, Yalda has definitely earned a customer in me. If you're ever in Sandy Springs pay them a visit. The spices in the rice were overpowering and my partner didn't enjoy it as much. The potatoes were extra crunchy and a bit burnt... unsure if it was overdone or on purpose. It smelled like was it cooked in coconut oil. I would say 7 out of 10 overall. The lamb neck was recommended by the waiter. It was really good, slow cooked and the meat was tender. The sauce was unremarkable. The waiter gave us a house made spicy sauce and made this dish significantly better. I would say 9/10 overall. The hummus with the pickled mushroom was amazing. It was topped off with truffle oil and I just couldn't keep my hands off of it. I would say 10/10. I just want to point out the bill had a notice that says "tips are based on check prices after taxes" was confusing and unsure why would company charge tips on top of taxes. Our waiter was amazing so we didn't mind paying the extra but it really made us wonder about the company policy.

My girlfriend has a very strict diet due to food sensitivities, so before ordering she specifically asked about the dough, bread, and flours used in the food. Unfortunately, instead of receiving details about the ingredients, she was simply told that she could eat it. Based on that information, she ordered the meal, but later had a reaction to the dough that was used. This was frustrating because the situation likely could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information about the ingredients from the beginning. We completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every dietary restriction, but being transparent about what is used in the food allows customers to make informed decisions for themselves. The food itself was good, which is why we're giving 3 stars, but the service on this particular issue left us disappointed. We hope the restaurant can do a better job of providing ingredient information when customers ask, especially for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.

The chicken shawarma was very good and flavorful and it was super tender and I love that because it wasn't like it was sitting there all day. It was something I would definitely go back for. I may even get a wrap next time but the actual platter served me really well and it was great. roasted potatoes - my first side was potatoes and it's hard to mess up roasted potatoes. You just season it and stick it in the oven I guess but either way they were very moist and you got plenty of them. They were seasoned very well Grilled veggies - the grilled veggies were pretty good. I mean I have nothing to complain about. They were vegetables and they were seasoned as well so nothing wrong with that but they were just vegetables. It's not like it was a main course kind of situation but for a side they were a really good side choice . Creamy chicken soup - now let me get to the star of the show. This soup is amazing to me. I don't know what it is about it. Maybe it has something in it but it is amazing. I could actually get a big bowl of it and call it a day. The soup is creamy and savory and has bits of the chicken in there so it's also seasoned very well. I don't know what it is about this soup but this soup is gold to me. In any event yes I liked everything I got, yes I would go back, yes the soup is amazing, all the things LOL. They have a rosemary chicken that is supposed to be the best seller but I didn't come for that. I would definitely try that next time. I was very satisfied with what I got!

If you're looking for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food in Downtown Atlanta, Aviva by Kameel…read moreinside the HUB Peachtree Food Court is a must-visit! From the moment I walked in, Kameel made me feel welcome. His energy is contagious, and he genuinely engages with every customer, making everyone feel like family rather than just another order. That level of hospitality is hard to find and really sets this place apart. I ordered their best-selling Chicken Shawarma Wrap, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The halal, hormone-free chicken breast was perfectly seasoned with Turkish spices, grilled with sweet white onions, and wrapped with creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, fresh cabbage salad, tabouli, and tahini in their homemade wrap. Every bite was packed with fresh, vibrant flavors, and the portion was surprisingly generous. For dessert, I couldn't resist the Pistachio Baklava, and I'm glad I didn't. The flaky filo layers were filled with pistachios and lightly sweetened with organic maple syrup instead of refined sugar. Combined with 100% olive oil and a hint of rose water, it was rich without being overly sweet and made for the perfect ending to the meal. What I also appreciate is Aviva's commitment to quality and healthy eating. They cook exclusively with 100% extra virgin olive oil, use halal, hormone- and antibiotic-free meats, fresh local produce, and avoid processed ingredients. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options while taking care to prevent cross-contamination, making it an inclusive place for people with different dietary needs. The restaurant itself is clean, organized, and inviting. While the prices are a little higher than some food court options, the quality of the ingredients, generous portions, outstanding service, and incredible flavors make it well worth every dollar. If you're in Downtown Atlanta and craving Mediterranean cuisine, Aviva by Kameel is definitely worth a visit. Great food, generous portions, warm hospitality, and a dining experience that keeps you coming back. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, we did have a very disappointing experience regarding my daughter's Louis Vuitton bracelet. When we arrived, she was wearing the bracelet, and we later looked back at the photos we took that evening. The photos clearly show that she had the bracelet on her arm when we were seated. She never left the table or changed seats, yet in photos taken later, the bracelet was no longer on her wrist. Because it was late at night and the restaurant was closing, we believe the bracelet may have been lost at the table while we were dining. We contacted the restaurant afterward, but unfortunately, we were told that no one had found it. This was extremely disappointing, especially because when you dine at a reputable restaurant, you expect that if a valuable personal item is found, the staff or another guest will make every effort to return it to its owner. We understand that accidents happen and that items can be misplaced, but the fact that the bracelet was clearly with her when we arrived and disappeared while she remained seated at the table is very concerning. We truly enjoyed the food and the service, which makes this situation even more disappointing. We sincerely hope the restaurant will take another look into the matter and speak with the staff who were working that evening.
