I ordered food that contains eggplant. Actually, I like vegetable but this restaurant don't have vegetables and this is the only dish that has vegetable. I noticed the food has too much oil in it and a little salty. This is the only thing that I have concern about but the kare-kare taste good, but only few vegetables. I called and asked if they were open. When I went, they obviously looked like they were just eating with their family and the door was locked. They completely ignored me. I stumbled upon this place while going to the boba place next door. I decided to check it out. I think this is the first Filipino restaurant I have tried dinuguan that didn't have fatty pieces in it. All of the other places I have gone, there is about 40% fat pieces. This place served all meat! Their combo also lets you do half rice and half pancit which I've never seen before either. Pancit was a little bland but better than being too salty. Portions are decent as well. Suman was good too. Not too sweet. Place is clean. I've been here a few times now. The food here is good but that's if you can get here early enough. The hours that they have listed here are all wrong. Not sure what exactly what their hours are but I spoke with the owner and they're usually gone by 4pm. Every time I've come here have been around 2pm and it seems like they have VERY few selection left...but at least what they do have left over is good. Since they have very limited hours, once they run out of something they don't seem to replace it...I guess it depends what time in the afternoon it is. Delicious barbecue and an awesome location! This is my favorite Filipino food in Orange HANDS DOWN. Their restaurant is super clean and everything is home cooked and gourmet. My family has also ordered catering from them multiple times and it's always a hit at every party. Their chicken and pork barbecue is incredible and never fails to keep me coming back. My family also goes absolutely crazy over their sisig. If you're into crispy pork belly, try their lechon kawali, which is for sure some of the crispiest pork belly you'll ever have. Also, make sure to ask for some free "sabaw" on the side, which is a delicious soup you're meant to pour over your rice (or drink on its own). Their prices for catering are doubled compared to other restaurants e.g Menudo at Seafood city is $45 only for the same half tray . But this resto charge $80. But still, I gave it a try but when I tasted the pansit, it was too salty and to my surprise, all their half trays (for menudo, pansit, ginatan) I ordered were smaller half trays compared to other resto catering. They charged more for lesser amount of food ($55 for pansit compared to $30 (Seafood City and others) I also ordered dessert (Ginatan $55 for a small half tray) but the pieces were cut carelessly (5 times bigger the actual size should be). The lady owner was rude to hung up on me after telling her what I noticed about their food and told me to buy somewhere else. I'm not even asking for a refund. Food here is ok not bad at all for a filipino cooking. Just over priced with pricing. A combo meal with two items can cost you between 16-17.50 dollars or for one item 15 dollars depending on what you get. If you get all noodles instead of half and half which is usually rice and noodles then they charge you and extra dollar. And if you get caldereta (goat) as one of your item since it's meat they also charge you extra which is two dollars if it's a in one of your item in a combo, that's why the total could vary. They also have a side order option which is 9 dollars for small item, 13, dollars for medium and 18 dollars for large item. the DOwnside with this one is if you get an item that has a lot of meat for example Caldereta (goat meat) they charge you extra 3 dollars on top of what the side order price. Instead of you paying 9 dollars for a small, now you will be paying 12 dollars, or if you get a medium which is 13 dollars, now you will be paying 16 dollars something. This place is just way over priced. not worthy unless you really craving something and you cant resist eating filipino food then I would go here. read more

I AM SO LAZY... This is the first Flip place I have eaten at in a long time. I guess I have survived on frozen lumpia and my own chicken or pork adobo for months - LOL. I took a look at my yf Miguel R.'s "spot on" review before I came here. This place is in the food court of The Village at Orange amongst Sbarro, Subway and DQ. I chose the 3 item combo ($7.25) - Nilaga (pork rib soup); chicken curry and pork shish kabob. I had steamed rice and mixed pancit (bihon [thin rice noodles] and canton [chow mein style noodles]) on the side. They have about 12 dishes served turo turo (point point) style, and some items off the menu. The soup was pretty good. The broth was skimmed well and the vegetables (including napa cabbage) were fresh and crunchy. The only improvement would have been to trim the meat better. The curry was OK. The Filipino version does not have much heat and I prefer the Thai version better. I would have ordered chicken adobo, but there wasn't any in the chafing pans. The shish kabob was OK too. It had nice seasoning, but I bit into some inedible fat on my second bite. Lastly, the pancit was surprisingly good. The noodles were not soggy and the vegetables were crunchy. I was stuffed afterwards. I could easily have ordered only a two item combo: 3 Stars. The server was pretty nice. He didn't try to speak Tagalog to me like most Flips. I didn't have to give my standard apology, "Sorry, brah! I am Hawaiian/Filipino and I grew up in Hawaii. I didn't learn Tagalog. I went to Hawaiian school growing up. If you like me to Olelo Hawai'i (speak Hawaiian), I can". The ambiance is, well, you are in the food court of a mall: 3 Stars. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I can see myself coming here for the nilaga to nurse a hangover, or if I need a lot of food for not much $. They also have home made desserts and some items from Luisas. 5 Stars for Customer Service. My favorite Filipino dish has plantains, meat, string beans, vinegar w/egg plant. It is called Pochero. So amazingly reasonable. The pork is big chucks on a stick with fat pieces too. The best part that is full of flavor is the FAT! Decent Filipino food for a fair price. While not as good as my mom's cooking, when I get a hankering for some salty goodness, this place fills in just right. They also have a display of all the food in front of you for all of those that don't know much about Filipino food (like me). You can get items ala cart or in a combo meal. You get a decent amount of food for what you pay. I wanted the bbq chicken and bbq pork which come on sticks. They char it a little more when you order so it is hot. It becomes nice and crispy on the ends, just the way I like any bbq. I also got their sausage and noodle combo. It was my first time trying Filipino sausage which is sweet and salty.
