his was the worst service I've ever received. My reservation was for 7:00 pm and we were sat at 7:35. We weren't greeted for 25 more minutes & not until every other table around us were followed up with how their food tasted. We sat with closed menus & no greeting!! The place is beautiful it's part of an upScale hotel , the prices are moderate for how nice it is , I ordered the steak salad and it was perfect (like my meat raw) . With that being said my husband ordered the chefs special tacos and they were small not much meat and super dry no sauce . Service was great no complaints. read more

I would give F & F more stars if I could!! We celebrated our daughter's graduation from USC May 16. Fourteen in attendance. Of course, we reserved ahead. Our table was on a slant in a little alcove in front of the restaurant. Instead of the straight across long board look, the slant gave it a warmer feel. We all ordered from the menu; no set menu, although they will do that for you. The fun started when we all started ordering different appetizers, different entrees, and different desserts. Every dish was perfection!!! We were all sharing bites. One of our guests, while eating the toffee cake with popcorn, exclaimed, "this is pure genius." Our servers gave us just the right amount of attention. They even threw in a few more appetizers as we sat and talked away and made our dinner selections. There was a large wedding upstairs on the roof. When the wedding left and went downstairs to dance, the server invited our group to go upstairs after our desserts and celebrate our daughter's graduation on the rooftop with flutes full of champagne. The staff couldn't have been more professional and thoughtful! I would highly recommend Finch & Fork for any large group festivity. Great choice for Mother's Day brunch. They have excellent bar with some creative cocktails . We tried the Bloody Mary and Breakfast of Champions drinks, both were great. The pressed juice are awesome. We tried one with turmeric, cayenne and agave, it had a kick to it! The chop salad, crab cake Benedict, buttermilk chicken and Huevos Rancheros were all good. We stayed at The Canary while our house was getting tented for termites this past weekend. Needless to say, Finch & Fork was our go to kitchen for most meals. Excellent service and really delicious food and drinks. Breakfast was great with everything from poached eggs to avocado toast. My daughter loved their lemon ricotta pancakes. For those eating light there is oatmeal and fresh fruit, as well as homemade granola, yogurt & berries. The bar is wonderful and a hotspot on the weekends with so many options. Great bartenders that aim to please with their mixology skills. Dinnertime gets busy, so make a reservation or get their early on the weekend. Personal favorites were the cauliflower appetizer and mushroom flatbread. The scallops and burger were bursting with flavor and satisfying. We were too full to try any desserts, but there were plenty to choose from. We all give Finch & Fork a double thumbs up and the service was awesome! read more

They have free valet if you're not a hotel guest if you get your ticket validated. This is unlike many hotel restaurants I've been to and the food was fantastic. I had the flat bread for an appetizer, then the sea bass which was superb. Then finished with a banana milkshake. The whole meal was great. Its a much bigger restaurant than I imaged and very new and modern looking. The wait staff were very good. I went on a Thursday night and it was fairly crowded. read more

I came here for brunch with one of my girlfriends, and I got the crab cake eggs benedict because, well, why wouldn't you? It was deeeelish (but when is eggs benedict not delish?), and my friend got the whole wheat french toast which I got to try--pretty good, but not the best french toast I've ever had. A very fancy conformable spot to have brunch! The only down side I can think of is that they should definitely expand their brunch menu. In my opinion, I feel like there should be a lot more, there wasn't any hash browns, which I am most disappointed about! Every breakfast/lunch place should have hash browns! The food was great, the service was not. They got my wife's order right but the messed up mine bringing me pork ribs, not short ribs. The manager asked if I wanted something in the meantime and I asked for a second order of Brussels sprouts. Eventually the short ribs came and they were awesome. I never got the extra Brussels sprouts. It also took a long time to get our check because there was no waiter regularly in my section. Eventually the check came and we were charged for the second order of sprouts that we never got. After pointing this out they fixed the check and bought me a drink. Overall Finch & Fork is worth going to. Their food is 5 stars. It's a shame the service was mediocre. read more

We came to Finch & Fork during our weekend get-away for an afternoon bloody Mary and were very impressed! The bloody Mary's were only average, but the deviled eggs were awesome and highly recommended. Although Finch and Fork is a classy, upscale dinning spot, it isn't at all LA pretentious. As is typical with Santa Barbara, the vibe was kick back, service was profession, and clientele didn't judge if you walked in with flip flops! If you're looking for a great spot to kick back and get an afternoon drink or appetizer, this is the spot! Can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu! read more

Incredible! Finch + Fork has incredible cocktails and creative twists on traditional foods. After a Sunday of wine tasting, we arrived for a late lunch/early dinner. The menu was limited given the time of day, which wasn't a problem because everything we tried was delicious. We had the house made jerky, burger (cooked perfectly and so good we ordered a second), shishito peppers, roasted sweet corn, and pickled vegetables. The Guava Jelly cocktail is one of the best drinks I've ever had. We ate several meals during our stay in Santa Barbara (all good), but this was by far the best. read more

I had dinner there 3/14/14 and it was yummy. Our server, James, was fantastic. He knew the wine and food menus and gave us intelligent recommendations. So, so yummy! I started with the Yin and Yuice cocktail which was AMAZING! We had the Brussels sprout and cauliflower appetizers. They were both excellent, but the cauliflower was my absolute fave. For entrees we had the cavatelli (homemade and oh so good) and the burger. Our kids were super happy with their sliders and Mac n cheese. Another reason we love Santa Barbara...Finch & Fork! Thankfully, we stayed at the Canary and was able to just go downstairs to such a lovely restaurant for date night. The ambiance was perfect, dimmed lighting and some music in the background, not overly loud that you can't have a decent conversation and not overly dark that you can't appreciate your food or your date. We had from the Snack portion of their menu: the Hamachi Crudo (celery root, granny smith apple, yuzu, dill.) From the Farm to Fork portion of their menu: Roasted Brussels Sprouts (marcona almond, maple bacon vinaigrette, shaved pecorino.) I had the Saturday Special which was Market Lasagna and the hubby had the NY Strip. I would recommend all items, but I think the next time I come back I would prefer to order either their Sea Scallops or their Short Rib to try instead of getting the same Lasagna. I also want to add that our server Nicole, gave some great recommendations. I love staff who are knowledgable of their dishes. To top off the evening, their Cream-Sicle dessert was divine! Not overly sweet, but creamy and delicious, with a bit of tart and some crumble. So good! read more
