Food and service were pretty good. There is an outside seating area which you can bring your Fur Babies with you. Nice beach decor with a cool Tiki as you come to the restaurant. I would have left a 4 Star Rating but due to the fact that the Pollo Al Pastor Taco menu price was $4.50 and the Elote Shrimp Taco was menu priced at $5.00. We were charged $5.00 for Pollo al Pastor and $6.50 for Elote Shrimp Taco. We understand that prices go up as we all know however if you have to raise your prices you need to update your menus. Which is my other small complaint we had some difficulties reading the menus both of our menus were very worn and the printing has worn off from the multiple cleanings during the day. My brother and his family eat here a lot, as it is close by their home and consistent in serving up good food. When we came the other evening (me for the first time) it was crowded and we were seated on their outdoor patio. Whew, that wasn't pleasant in the intense heat of an summer evening in Tucson. Our waitress promised to find us a table as soon as one became available and, sure enough, she soon came out to relocate us to a booth inside. Definitely better! This has the feel of a neighborhood bar/hang-out. It's a bit noisy in a friendly way. Not so much that we want to leave but enough that you notice the other people in your vicinity. I like that no one makes you feel like you gotta gobble up your food so the next group can be served. It's more a place where you can linger over your food and gab for awhile to pass the evening away. I really enjoyed the food here very much. My shrimp tacos were seasoned beautifully. The pinto beans were a tad on the spicy side (in a good way) and simply excellent. I tasted other foods such as my nieces' salmon and found it to also be excellent. Every single thing I tasted was something I'd happily order for myself. Even the seasoned fries were tasty. The portions were generous. read more

Went for breakfast. Food was okay. Definitely going downhill. Menu used to be much better and servers used to be friendly. It used to be a good place to go. However.... Was sitting at the tables by the bar and saw the cutest 70-80 year old couple come in wearing matching Green Bay packers gear. They asked which tv the packers game would be on and 2 waitresses/bartenders said the TVs at the bar. They said they couldn't sit at those high top seats so asked if they could put it on one of the TVs in the main dining room (there's like 6 of them or so). The place was pretty empty, just our table for 4 and 2 other tables. The waitress said, with a little bit of an attitude, that the TVs were already set and they couldn't change it. The couple looked dumbfounded and they turned around and left. It was super sad. In a nice city like Tucson, this was pretty crappy to see. Nowadays it's obvious that any tv channel can be changed pretty easily. read more

This place is a hidden gem and a new favorite of mine! Between the atmosphere, the food, and the service, Fini's Landing hit all of the marks and I will definitely be returning. In terms of the restaurant itself, I'm glad I read some other Yelp reviews, because I got the heads up that they don't have a hostess. No problem for me or my family; we love seating ourselves and choosing where we want to dine. Fini's Landing is committed to their beach theme, with flip flops as the door handles of the front door. There are multiple dining areas--inside and outside--and an awesome bar in the shape of a boat. The vibe is very chill and almost feels like Southern California. My only complaint is that they have several benches--without backs--and I much prefer a chair with a back. The drinks and food were excellent. They have a great draft beer selection and almost everyone in the family got a Beached Ale--the in-house beer. It's a dark ale, but super smooth and delicious. The highlight of this place are the pangas--something I've never heard of before. They are big lettuce bowls filled to the brim with different fillings. I got the blackened shrimp panga and it was delicious. All the pangas are between $5 and $7, so not only are they healthy they are also very affordable. I also tried the carnitas taco--so delicious! Loved the sauce on it. The fish taco was also great. As a table, we also got an order of wings with the coco nido sauce and they were also very good. The service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. The servers were no nonsense and brought our beer and food out in an organized and quick manner. The staff also accommodated our television requests--we had to watch the UA game on TV! There are many TVs so we had our choice of where we wanted to watch the game. This place was a pleasant surprise and I see myself returning again and again! Love Fini's! It is one of my favorite places to eat and hang out. Their food is delish!! I usually get one of their fish tacos, but was amazed by the burgers. They are known for supporting sustainable fishing practices. The ambiance is a fabulous Mexican Riviera, fishing/surfing town feeling. There are surfboards on the wall, a realistic-looking dolphin hanging above the bar (don't worry - it's not real. I even met the artist), the bar is even shaped like a boat. I feel transported every time. Except during the day, when you see the HUGE windows with a view of the Catalina's! That's the reminder you're in Tucson. There are a number of tvs and a band on Fri/Sat nights to keep you entertained. EDiT: I've expanded to soups & salads. Very, very fresh greens & veggies. Tastes so good. The chicken tortilla soup is the tastiest I've ever had. A wonderful spice lingers on your palate afterward. Highly recommend trying it. read more

I felt like I was at the beach from the moment I walked in with the flip-flop's right on the door handles. The first thing I noticed was cute and oddly shaped bar, makes me excited to come back and sit at the bar with my husband for Taco Tuesday, which I've heard is a highlight of this place. We enjoyed the patio ambiance, and like the fact that it's dog friendly. The beached ale Finis land beer was very light and hoppy - loved it, and it went perfectly with the seafood. I absolutely loved the jalapeno rice - couldn't get enough of it! I tried two of the tacos - the Guaymas and Chubasco Shrimp - great flavors, packed with seafood and toppings - delish!! Our waitress checked on us often, and we completely enjoyed our experience! My friend ordered a couple of the pangos, which looked amazing! read more

We just finished a terrific lunch at Fini's! We began with delicious Nachos. From the black beans, sauces, cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole, there were so many great flavors hitting our tongues! Our server, Dajah, was super friendly, welcoming and had the timing for the delivery of our entrees just right with our finishing the nachos. The grilled cod taco and the fried cod sandwiches were very tasty. But the real star was el Cubano torta! We cannot wait to get back for another! Love to eat where the locals go when I am out of town. What a great little place this is. We went in for an early dinner so it was very quiet but we could tell many of the locals were there by the way the staff greeted them. As I am a vegetarian, this place did not offer many choices, but when you are hungry you find something. I ordered the quesadilla appetizer. There was more than enough to make a meal. It came with 3 kinds of salsa. As I am a picky eater, I was reluctant to try the 3 different ones. I was so surprised how delicious the pineapple salsa was...I didn't even eat the tomato one at all. I also ordered the beans. They were good too. My mother had the salmon...loved it. Wait staff was great too. Find this place...go here...eat and try the pineapple salsa. read more

BUT while trying to enjoy our food and drinks these small and nasty flies were getting in our drinks and around our mouths. Waited another 10 minutes while she helped other guests and did not acknowledge us. Also I loved the selection of beer on tap - I am an IPA fan and was pleasantly surprised by the diverse selection. Lastly, the decor and service was perfect. I decided to try it today for lunch I knew they were a new place because as soon as I sat myself down five people came up to me to ask me if I have been helped yet. But when I decided to move and sit outside on the patio with my friends no one came to greet us. We must have been waiting for 20 minutes. As for the food I had ordered the prickly pear chicken sandwich, the Chicken was dry and the fries were to peppery tasting. And everything was too salty. I came here for the first time back in April, although it's only a quick few minute drive from my home, it took me til September to try it again. The food was disappointing, as were our drinks. The female bartender didn't seem very knowledgeable. Another time when we were tempted to go in (it's the only bar in the area), we looked in and saw the majority of the chairs on tables. Double checked online, yes, still open for at least 2 more hours. We felt that was too unwelcoming and awkward? We just went home. Now for last night... The clientele here is older, mostly male, and kind of creepy. The football game was on unbearably loud, even my boyfriend thought it was unnecessary. I don't have a problem with people enjoying the game, but it was way too much. From where we were sitting at the bar I noticed a little glass window that looks into what must be a very messy office. Tacky and weird. There was an older gentlemen across the bar with a staring problem. I looked around thinking there must be a TV behind me. No, he was just being a creep while I sat there with my boyfriend. It made me very uncomfortable. I was ready to leave immediately after my drink was gone. I assume this place is busy due to the fact that it's the only close bar in the area. I won't be desperate enough to come back. read more

My fiancé wanted seafood for father's day so I of course went to help for some help. He was thinking King Fisher or Blue Fin which is right down the street from us. I am not a huge seafood fan so I thought I would do some searching on help and found this new restaurant that we have never tired. Plus it had other food on the menu besides seafood. My fiancé pulled up the website and found out that Andy Hersey plays every Sunday at 5 pm there so he was sold. He really likes his music since he use to hear him a lot of Fridays at Shooters. When we first walked in we weren't sure what to do since there is not a hostess stand and no one greeted us. After about a few minutes looking around and starring down waitresses someone finally said please seat yourself. When we sat down at a table it took a good 3 or 4 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and it wasn't too busy. Once someone came over they gave us a menu and took our drink order. I ordered one of their tacos which was ok, but if I went back I wouldn't order it again. I had the carne asada taco and it was kind of bland. I also had the chicken tortilla soup which again was just ok. My fiancé ordered a blackened fish taco and a shrimp taco. The shrimp taco was pretty good. My son had the fish and chips. His food was the best out of all of ours. I am sure we will be back since Andy Hersey is there every Sunday and we like to go and listen to live music with our son and it is family restaurant. I will just make sure to order something else next time. read more

I love going for lunch because it's quiet and the lunch specials are good. I get the Outerbanks and unfortunately it's only available for lunch or I would order it all the time. It's a pulled chicken with habanero sauce...delicious. I've been twice for dinner and been privileged to hear live jazz by the Tony Frank Trio. The burgers are cooked to order and will fill you up. The tacos, salsas, and guac are homemade and some of the best in Tucson. The decor is surfer in the desert. It's very laid back atmosphere and the service is great. There are large garage doors opening on to the patio making for a much larger seating area. read more

Ambiance is an attempt at a marine theme and I really want to incorporate ship wreck here but that is probably overboard. I digress. The staff is very nice and we only had an appetizer so I will need to update when I have a larger meal. Based on stale chips and tasteless avocado mash I cannot give stars to support. Parking is easy and location is right where the old meet the less diverse part of North Tucson. Not representative crowd for our town, but seems to be a local watering hole.
