This place was the perfect balance to relax and enjoy, but not too chaotic where we couldn't have a conversation. They had a great selection of beers. We ordered a round as well as a burger and nachos, both were satisfying. We were able to enjoy the small, cute outside area that had cornhole and ping pong. I appreciated that they had outdoor heating as well. Needless to say this was the perfect stop before our friends wedding and small world as we met Garrett at the wedding who happened to work at Finney's! Overall, it was a solid experience last night. This location is great with kids and our server was awesome. She adapted to the kids and was very patient with us. I had their new salmon bowl and my wife had their new ahi bowl. Both were good attempts at those dishes. The salmon tasted fishy and chewy, with some interesting complimentary bowl ingredients (in a bad way). The ahi bowl was better, had great taste, but the ahi had a texture leading to it not being that fresh. For dessert, we order the churros and a side of ice cream. The churros were awful. We would have returned them if we didn't already pay the check. They were obviously microwaved, super hard and pretty much inedible. The ice cream was good. Overall, good experience. On today's date at approximately 6:44 p.m. I walked into Finneys in Camarillo with a party of 12. We sat down, ordered drinks, waited, and placed our food order around 7:00 p.m. By 7:44 p.m., we noticed that two tables seated after us had already been served their food before us. One of those tables had even spent about 15-20 minutes speaking with the shift manager and still received their food before we did, despite us arriving earlier. On top of that, the tables before us had more people combined than our table, yet they were still served first. At that point we asked what was going on. The shift manager told us our order had only been placed about 8 minutes earlier. However, when I spoke to our server, she stated she had placed the order approximately 18 minutes prior. The conflicting information did not make sense and gave the impression that blame was being shifted instead of simply addressing the issue. I work in the restaurant industry myself, so I understand delays happen and mistakes happen. The issue wasn't simply the wait time--it was the lack of communication and inconsistent explanations. Even after asking about our order at the 44-minute mark, we continued waiting another 15 minutes before food started arriving. At that point we had been waiting from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for our meal. We also informed management that not everyone at our table even ate, and there were items and drinks that were ordered but never made it to the table. I requested some form of accommodation on our bill due to the experience. Our food wasn't even to past experiences either. I understood alcohol may not be able to be compensated, so I asked for a percentage off the bill. There was a lot of back and forth before anything was addressed. The situation escalated to the point where the shift manager contacted a regional manager named Sal. I explained the entire situation and made it clear that this was not directed toward our server personally. I specifically told the server I had no issue with her and that my concern was with how management was handling the situation. My brother inlaw ordered fajitas, and the portions we received were extremely small for the price paid. For over $20, the amount served felt very underwhelming and did not seem worth the cost. I mentioned to Sal the Regional manager that Chipotle gives more for the $20. During my conversation with the regional manager over the phone, I explained that many customers in situations like this become frustrated enough to leave, and I could have been a jerk and walked while still waiting for our food but we didn't. I was giving an example, but the conversation became tense and I was threatened when the discussion shifted toward the Regional manager calling law enforcement and discussing negative reviews. The interaction became more uncomfortable than productive. In the end, we did receive a discount, which I appreciate. However, the overall experience between the wait times, conflicting explanations, missing items, portion sizes, and management interactions left a bad impression. I would recommend to visit the location in Ventura. I understand restaurants get busy, but communication and accountability go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I WOULD NOT RETURN. This was my second trip to Finney's Crafthouse in Camarillo. I've driven by them many times since they've opened since I come to the outlet here fairly often and last month was the first time I stopped in. One of my coworkers who lives near the location in Orange County said that this is one of her favorite restaurants so we decided to stop in and try the food. I got the barbecue chicken salad and it was amazing. I ordered my food online and it was ready in about 15 minutes or so. This gave me time to go shop at the stores nearby. What I really liked about the salad is that you can tell all the ingredients are really fresh and tasty. The chicken has the right amount of grilled taste on it but yet still juicy, and all the textural contrast made it taste even better. Can't wait to try some the other items that they have. I know they also have a happy hour menu that I will have to try the next time I'm in town. There is plenty of parking here since it's located in the outlets. There's a tiny lot right to the side of it however very few find it other section to park and that is where most the spots are in the main parking lot. read more

On a Friday night waited about 20 minutes which was not bad. Had a beautiful seat high top with half indoor outdoor views. Ordered the coconut shrimp which was amazing! And two cokes, we got our shrimps before the cokes I could clearly see the server tending to the two girls right next to us. Also ordered Cajun wings too they were okay nothing special. Ordered two Caesar salads with chicken. Neither salad had crumbled croutons or romaine lettuce. When I let the server know he said odd, and said I'll let someone know. Sever never came back till the bill was presented. My past experiences have been good but this will be my last time visiting. My daughter and I decided to have lunch together on Wednesday. We debated as to where we wanted to go and decided on Finney's. We were greeted and seated immediately which was nice. Ari was our waitress and she was very kind and knowledgeable. We ordered the carnitas nachos to share and each had a beverage. Absolutely delicious! I was going to order some food to go but I was so full that I didn't think I was going to eat anything else that day. The place is so comfortable and cozy. I do think that I would have ordered my favorite pizza to go but, uh oh, you no longer have the sausage and garlic pizza anymore. I'm so sad because I can't find it anywhere else. Been to a Finney's twice now. NOT my cup of tea. 1st experience in Orange: lackluster. Food in our hair, and the server asks what we wanted to do about it. We said we removed the hair and will just eat around it. Still got charged for it. Camarillo: Definitely not my choice to eat here, but had to join colleagues. The nachos had dried cheese, as if they were sitting in the window forever. My flatbread had really stale crust, and the bottom was extremely soggy. BUT here is where I give them credit: a co-worker didn't care for their food but decided to deal with it since it was perfectly fine, just not to their Liking. Another co-worker spoke up on their behalf and ordered another meal for them. Causing an embarrassment. Our server and the manager were extremely accommodating, despite our embarrassment of the others behavior. I give Finney's credit for how that handle it. After we sat down, we had Ethan, our server come up, and he was super friendly and had a smile on his face. He was great! He told us about some great options for drinks and appetizers. We loved Ethan!! We ordered the Bavarian pretzel with cheese for an appetizer, and we also ordered the Nashville. Chicken sliders has an appetizer. Both of these were amazing! The pretzel was perfect. For my entrée, I ordered the Finney burger with jalapeños and a side salad. The burger was perfect, cooked to perfection and delicious. The Camarillo Finneys location is great! I'm sorry I haven't tried this location sooner as the ambiance, service, and food was an easy five stars. A great addition to Camarillo and I totally understand now why it's always so busy. The interior is very spacious and I loved the open concept which allows fresh air in and nice views from the inside. Lots of wood and lighting, it's a great dining experience in terms of feeling slightly elevated even though traditionally finneys is pretty much a casual dining restaurant. Their bar here was also pretty big and a nice spot to hang if you are coming solo. Service here was fantastic. Sorry that I didn't catch our waitresses name but she was very attentive and personable. We also appreciated that not only did she split our checks individually, she also made it so that the appetizer the three of us shared was able to be split three ways despite normally servers just making one person having to put it on their own tab. That was super cool of her and we were grateful for such nice service from start to finish. Their drink menu is always a winner. Lots of beers and cocktails to choose from. I've always been a fan of their guava margarita or I'll go with their tangerine beer when they have it. If you don't want alcohol my blueberry lemonade was visually Instagram worthy and tasty. Food is always a 5/5 here. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. For appetizers I usually like the onion rings and yuzu buffalo wings. This time we tried the loaded tater tots and those were phenomenal. Might have to get them everytime now! For a main I'm usually a sucker for them impossible cheeseburger. Flavorful and hearty despite being a non beef patty. This time though I got a Cesar salad add ahi tuna which was seared and this was a game changer. Probably one of the best salads I've had in a really really long time. Likely will continue to get this as it's a dish I haven't soon forgotten. I'm a huge fan of Finney's and have been to a few of the other Finney's locations. My first visit to the Camarillo location was a great one. We went for a late lunch on a busy holiday weekend. We were seated within 10 minutes of putting our name in. The restaurant is huge. There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. It seems like it would be a great place for a group. The outdoor area has a lot of shaded seats. There's an also a small area with corn hole. We were seated outside and enjoyed it because the weather was nice and we were in the shade. Our sever was friendly and food came out quickly. We ordered the Moroccan salad and Peggy's crispy chicken sandwich I love the Moroccan salad because of the variety of ingredients in it and the citrus vinaigrette pairs perfectly with it. The crispy chicken sandwich was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the flavor of the sandwich was great. We added a side of sweet potato fries with the sandwich. The sweet potato fries are amazing. I've had a lot of items on Finney's menu and you can't go wrong with any of them. I always come to this Finneys when I go shopping at the camarillo outlets. Eveytime I've been to this location service is always really good everyone seems to be very kind. Was there around Christmas time last and had a party of 10 we sat out in the patio which was very nice they also have heaters out there too if you go at night like we did. Anyways drinks are on point and their beer on tap is pretty good too. The food always comes out warm and taste great last time I had the Wagu burger and let me tell you it was delicious. Definitely order the pretzel appetizer; comes with 3 amazing dipping sauces, although the pretzel is delicious enough on its own. My main Finney's location is in WLV but the location is so small that parking isn't great and there's usually a wait for dinner. So after a day of shopping at the outlets, we decided to try the Finney's in Camarillo. The size of this location must be at least twice the size of WLV. It was busy but we didn't even have to wait for a booth for our group. Menu options are the same as before so we went the the proven winner, cheese steak egg rolls to start. For my main I went with the smash burger and fries. Gotta love the consistency in the food as everything came out as predicted. Finney's is carefully expanding it's hold in SoCal and should be on everyone's radar. The menu and drink list should appease even the most picky of eaters. read more
