I'm sorry but not offering take out past 5pm is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. If your kitchen is that inefficient, I hesitate to go there at all. In case you've missed it - we're still in the midst of a pandemic - and take out is still (or should be) the default for every restaurant, especially with almost half the population vying for a Darwin Award by refusing to get a vaccine. Solid place for lunch if you're in town, but don't come if you're in a rush. We came during the holidays, knowing there would be a bit of a wait, and got the chicken and waffle bites, roasted Brussels sprouts, and the spicy crispy chicken sandwich among other items I can't remember right now. We were there for a late lunch and our food came out quickly but our servers were slow (we sat outside and it wasn't packed, just a few two-three tops). The food was also fine and didn't have the quality we expected for the prices. This is no fault of the restaurant, but the folks at the table by ours took the heating lamp and moved it next to their table, fully in front of a waiter. If you want amazing food with caring service, then check out Finney's. My brother and I went there last Sunday Oct 10th to reserve a table for our respective families. We needed a table for 8, and they have one in the restaurant that can accommodate us; so we booked it, grabbed a couple of drinks (818 blonde & spicy pineapple margarita) and sat outside while we wait. They initially said the wait will be about 1.5 hours, but in about 45 minutes we received the text that the table was ready. We all eventually sat down, and everyone from our server to our bussers was friendly and accommodating. Initially, the bar tender seemed like she was a bit busy and was curt, but which bar tender isn't curt when they're busy. I've got thick skin, so it's all good. Remember one thing folks, a lot of these restaurants are finding it difficult to find employees, so please be patient with the employees if they are less than perfect. Most of these employees are college kids, at least one busser was still in high school, so be understanding and patient, and try to support the businesses in your area. Moreover, expect price increases, as no restaurant will survive unless they increase their prices; they're getting hit with a double whammy of inflation and loss of patrons due to covid. Having stated all of that, the food was truly amazing! For appetizers we ordered 2 crispy brussels, carnitas nachos, side of onion rings and fries for the kids. For our entrees we ordered the Finney burger, 2 margarita pizzas, 1 Gary's pepperoni, hot wings (they make it super duper spicy if you ask them), and one other dish that I have since forgotten, but everyone on our table enjoyed every bite of our food. Wow! This is our third time here and we're just as impressed as the first time! Made it for happy hour (3-5 is tight, but prices are worth getting here!) The Blackberry Gin Fizz is such an amazing, refreshing cocktail...I'm hooked! We ordered the buffalo cauli bites (YUM!) and the mushroom truffle flatbread (spectacular!) and spent the extra $2 for the cauliflower crust... SO worth it! The details on this flatbread (black garlic, fontina, arugula & truffle cream) are simply mouth watering! Service was awesome, even in a packed house (thanks Lexi!) Saw a few taco orders being delivered that looked like big portions and really fresh, so they're on my agenda for next time. Their menu (food AND drink) has so many enticing choices, it will be a fun summer trying them all out! It was disappointing to see a jerk at a neighboring table chew out a waitress for no apparent reason...I really wish people would have more compassion/patience and lighten up on hard-working staff! I visited this location before going to the movies. I sat in the patio during happy hour and watched TNF. The beef and ahi tuna tacos were good but the drinks were watered down. Great place to try beers and good foods. The service is ok depending on the servers. They have a fantastic vibes. Sometimes their fried food especially coconut shrimp is overcooked and the color is very brown with black spots, but normally very good. One downside is that the servers and the cleaning crews are in a hurry to clear the table even when there is left food on the plate. Due to the other customer who's waiting, servers give the pressure to leave if we are no ordering more and just chatting. Came to eat lunch with my wife yesterday. First time, server takes our drink and appetizers order, we wait and wait, finally appetizer arrives but no drink yet. Coconut shrimp had no flavor, but we ate them with all the sauce they served with the order. Did I mention, the drinks arrived way later. First time here, the restaurant has a good vibe, nice decor and atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. During our visit, the manager checked on us twice. We ordered a couple appetizers, the seafood ceviche and the carnitas nachos were both delicious. My wife ordered a Topa Topa Tux beer, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. For an entree, she ordered the Asian Ahi Salad, the Ahi was seared perfectly. My stepdaughter ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula flatbread with the cauliflower gluten-free crust. I ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula flatbread with the regular crust-both were delightfully tasty, and each had a uniquely delicious flavor profile with the spicy honey drizzled on top. I also ordered a pint of the Craftsman 1903 Pre-prohibition Lager, and it was light and refreshing on such a hot day. All the ingredients appeared to be very fresh, the food was prepared and plated with a high standard. I asked the manager if the restaurant was corporate or privately owned, he said it is family owned. It shows in the level of care in the selection and training of the staff and the ingredients and preparation of the food. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will be back. read more

Tuesday night wife and I dined in bar. my beer was warm and super foamy, the Mexican lager. her ace cider was flat and not cold the pizza was cold and soggy the beer was warm the chicken wings were so terrible we didn't eat them soggy not crispy. The salad was okay at least It was cold not warm at the end of the night I felt ripped off and wasted $100 dollars on terrible drinks and terrible food seriously the pizza seemed as if It was frozen and microwaved rubbery crust and room Temp at best. Came here with my friends on a Thursday around 6pm. Happy hour is between 3-5 so just missed it. It gets pretty busy but the wait is not too bad. Waited 22 minutes before we got our table for party of 6. While waiting, they serve you drinks at the patio waiting area where there is plenty of tables and chairs so it keeps you busy. Parking is plenty! So no trouble looking for parking. Appetizers, we ordered the nachos and quesadilla. It's a good portion to share with 5 people for the nachos. The chicken quesadilla was tasty, not over cooked, the salsa has a little bit of a kick. I wasn't able to order any cocktail drink but after the baby I will definitely try their drinks. One of us ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and they liked it. For dessert they only have three choices, the churros, cookie with ice cream, and a chocolate brownie, we tried the churros which came with two dips. Everytime me and my wife would watch a movie at amc, we always see this place packed. We wanted to try it but there's just so many people. We had a chance last week for a lunch with nephew and his wife. There weren't many people that time so we were seated quickly. Straight on to our order. We had the truffle burger and it was so good! The prime rib sandwich is ok. Chicken wings are not great in my opinion. They put too much breading. The impossible salad is boring. Well that's expected of a vegan salad I guess. The pretzel is ok. I've had better. The onion rings are very good but very little serving and not worth the price. I wish they put more in there. What I liked is the beer flight. I got 4 of their best sellers and they are all excellent. If ever we come back here,,, it's not going to be for a meal but for a drink! hehe! I also like their patio seating. Place looks nice and clean but can be very very noisy on a busy hour. Staff are very nice and friendly. Parking is not a problem. read more

We ate at Finney's last night and had about a 45 minute wait (no reservations) -- which we had anticipated and walked around the various other stores/restaurants while we waited. At about the 45 minute point, we were seated and quite quickly our server came with menus and took our drink order. The drinks came within a few minutes and, at that time, we ordered. Of note, we ordered at the same time as a table adjacent to ours. The orders are taken on an ipad so they arrive in the kitchen almost immediately. After about 25 minutes (a fairly long wait but the restaurant was, in all fairness, crowded), the table next to ours received their meals -- ours, however, did not arrive for nearly 20 more minutes. We shared our displeasure with our server (who remained available and accommodating throughout the meal experience) and he said he would have the manager come over and speak with us. She came over a few minutes later -- having already been briefed by our server as to what happened -- but also wanted to hear directly from us. We shared the experience with her and she immediately accepted responsibility and told us that our entire meal was comped. Outstanding customer service. Beyond that, the food was very good. We each had a sandwich which was prepared exactly as described in the menu (along with a few changes we requested) and served in a pleasing manner. The side wedge salad was excellent but, unfortunately, the fries were somewhat cold. We chose not to return them given the wait time we had already experienced. Our hope is that this experience was an anomaly and plan to return to Finney's again in the near future -- and hopefully not have a repeat. Again, the caring manner that it was handled by management speaks volumes about the restaurant. read more

We had no wait on a Saturday afternoon for a table of 4. Nice change in format from most eateries... most items are in the $10-12 range and the serving size is large enough but not too much. Great for a few starters and a drink. The beer selection was decent. We shared a Lady Face Blind Ambition beer with hints of chocolate and coffee. It was a tasty. The food was delicious! We had the loaded tater tots absolutely yummy 5/5. The pretzel was delivered hot with three sauces; of course the cheese sauce was preferred 5/5. I had the hickory burger which was good 4/5. Another had the bison burger which was juicy 4.5/5 and BBQ chicken pizza which was large and tasty 4.5/5. Dessert was warm churros with an incredible caramel sauce. Jessen's service was spot on. We were very excited to try this place as the pictures online of the food looked amazing. We drove in from Moorpark just to do something out of town. We had an hour wait, which is expected on a Friday night. We were sat by 9pm. By this time we were starving. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers and 3 burgers with sides of tater tots (which are extra $) As we waited, we were making plans to come again because the menu selection looked great and there were more things we wanted to try. Needless to say it was an extremely disappointing experience and they lost first time customers. The service is slow, and the food was gross. What ever you do, do not order the tater tots! How can someone mess up tater tots? This place found a way. The wings and fried cauliflower were also gross. Everything tasted like they were fried in week old cooking oil. As we were walking out after paying, I was upset I didn't speak up and say something to the waiter. We looked across the parking lot and saw a Jersey Mikes. We all laughed and thought, we could have had a better meal there for about $90 less. Never again. read more

I'm not a vegetarian as you can tell from my prior sentence, but I tried the Impossible Burger and it was also a great treat. The service was exceptional, starting with the hostesses. I was given a choice of sitting inside or outside. Happy to now have that option! Our server Lauren was awesome! She made great food suggestions. This ones in my backyard so I expected alot from you guys but..... just like the Westlake one food was on point but wait staff lost her umf!!. She was on it at 1st. Even made sure my pup had some water to drink. After we got our drinks and put the food order in she gone.. we'd see her pass. Try to make eye contact but she was movin. It started to get busier but regardless just let people know what going on. We get it. Honesty will get you points. Still suggest checking out finneys. They have really good food. This place reminds me of Dave and Buster's minus the games. It's obviously a more upscale locale and maybe the prices are higher, but the quality of the food is surprisingly mediocre. I had some sort of sad chicken sandwich and my dining parter had a rather soul-less jalapeno egg cheeseburger. Both of these dishes were woefully short on basic vegetables like lettuce and tomato, but I'm not sure that would have been enough to salvage the meal. The cheeseburger meat had a strange gamey flavor to it that I rarely encounter when ordering cheeseburgers. The chicken breast was on the rather thin side in a way that whispered cost cutting measures, and the sandwich was oddly absent of flavor. Now allow me to turn your attention to the onion rings. Upon first bite, I almost thought these were processed onion rings, with reconstituted onion on the inside. The exterior batter was just too perfect looking in a very artificial way. There was no crunch to the outside and the inside was overly mushy. I saw in another review a mention of Finney's "scratch kitchen". Don't be fooled by marketing language like this. While it might indicate food made from scratch, it doesn't automatically mean the food is good. On a positive note, the servers were very friendly and attentive. Likewise the host who greeted us did a great job of getting us situated in the seating of our choice. read more

Not something you can Wipe off, they hadbig slats where food all fell and got gross. It was very warm and the fan did not work. This place needs to get stuff together, seriously. Take notes from the Westlake location. First, the host quotes a 2 hour wait (it was a Friday night, so fine). When she gets our name down around 8:00 pm, she says that the kitchen does close at 10 pm but do a last call around 9:00 pm, and said "she hopes that we make it before the kitchen closes". Oh? Let me just wait at the chance of maybe not getting food lol. She also suggested we get drinks at the bar to go to wait, which we did. Which by the way, TOOK FOREVER. Funny enough, as soon as we sat down to sip our "to go drinks", our table was then ready. Seriously? They had over 5 tables open and the host said that they can sit empty up to 20-30 minutes to give people "a grace period" to get their table. Most restaurant give you 5 minutes!
