I'll be honest outside of the drinks being .... Fine and our server being nice. This place was a huge letdown for me all around when coming here it was a Thursday evening or so I believe around 6:00 p.m. when we went to ask her a table. The hostess was standing around but didn't acknowledge anybody trying to look busy so we politely waited in front of the desk until somebody else walked in which she acknowledged and greeted that person inside of them up for their tables, which afterwards she'd still did not acknowledge me. I walked up to her and mentioned that we were waiting to see if there was availability and informed her that she acknowledged the person that came after us. She did not seem to care. Once I asked for availability. I was informed with the wait time was about 40 minutes for a table of three which I said okay unfortunately that wait time grew to be a little over an hour which anytime I came to just check in. See if there were tables ahead. The hostess really seemed irritated like I was really in her way or bothering her really making me feel unwanted. Unfortunately once we have actually got our table the lady that was servicing us was nice and attentive. But once we ordered the food it was not good at all. Whatsoever the burger seemed burnt the fries, not that great. And like I said at the top of the drinks were okay but not really worth going here waiting an hour dealing with a hostess that's irritated by the sight of you I don't know if maybe this restaurant was having an off day or what, but if this is usually how the ambiance and the food is, there's no way I could recommend anybody coming here read more

Very disappointed with this Finney's in Porter Ranch. Ordered a Bloody Mary, I don't think the gal knew how to make it. It was horrible. If you want a good Bloody Mary, go somewhere else. Bar had lemon, limes and oranges for garnish still on the table from the night before.! You could see it wasn't fresh bc it was zested previously and curled. For starters I ordered the mini ahi tacos-disgusting. Super salty and it Looked like cat food. We couldn't get out fast enough from this place. Very sad. Service was good. Love that they have an outdoor space where you can order drinks while you wait for a table. But the food was mediocre and that's what my rating is based on. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and really good. My friend got the wings and said they were meh. Even despite the sauce being too spicy for me I thought the tacos were meh as well. I think we just ordered wrong so if I got again, I'll try other things and probably change this rating. read more

We came back for dinner for 6. We waited for 1.45hrs + checked in several times to see what was going on.. After finally being seated and waiting 15 minutes for our server to come to our table, we ordered food and drinks. Of course we received our food before drinks. Halfway into our meals our drinks still had not arrived. Our server disappeared. We finally spotted her and asked her for our drinks. No apologies- no excuses given. A BAD beginning with a terrific ending....... My wife and I had arrived at Finney's almost at 6pm, which was 2 hours before our 8:10pm movie was to start. We waited and waited and waited and about a hour and 15 minutes later - WE FINALLY GOT A TABLE. Our server KAYLEE came to our table and introduced herself and prewarned us that the kitchen was a bit backed up because of all the to go orders. I asked if would we have enough time to make the 8:10pm show - and Kaylee said yes we should be ok - it will be close but we should be ok. We ordered 3 appetizers and the pastrami. My wife and I were talking about how we are probably going to need to eat real fast and rush to see our movie, or maybe we would end up missing some of the beginning. Before we knew it, our drinks came. Then shortly afterwards Kaylee brought the pastrami and one of the appetizers. We were shocked. Kaylee told us she put a rush on this so we can make our movie. Then the second app came, then a few minutes later another app came. Kaylee pulled a miracle out for us. We were so appreciated her thoughtfulness I asked to speak to her manager. a few minutes later the manager Brandon came to our table. We explained that we were so worried about not making the movie in time after the long wait just to get the table, then Kaylee made it happen. Brandon was so kind and nice, he even apologized for the long wait. Brandon went as far to encourage us to come back, he gave us a card for a free app or entrée. We told Brandon we will definitely be returning. Then we also told Brandon this was our first time being at Finneys and we thought the food was great. My daughter took me here for an early birthday lunch. I had the ahi tuna burger with sweet potato fries. The ahi was perfectly cooked...rare. I couldn't stop eating the sweet potato fries which were perfect - not greasy at all. My daughter had the grilled chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. Solid place for lunch if you're in town, but don't come if you're in a rush. We came during the holidays, knowing there would be a bit of a wait, and got the chicken and waffle bites, roasted Brussels sprouts, and the spicy crispy chicken sandwich among other items I can't remember right now. We were there for a late lunch and our food came out quickly but our servers were slow (we sat outside and it wasn't packed, just a few two-three tops). The food was also fine and didn't have the quality we expected for the prices. This is no fault of the restaurant, but the folks at the table by ours took the heating lamp and moved it next to their table, fully in front of a waiter. I'm sure he had enough to deal with that had a higher priority than scolding some rude guy who I believe was raised in a barn. read more

I'm sorry but not offering take out past 5pm is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. If your kitchen is that inefficient, I hesitate to go there at all. In case you've missed it - we're still in the midst of a pandemic - and take out is still (or should be) the default for every restaurant, especially with almost half the population vying for a Darwin Award by refusing to get a vaccine. If you want amazing food with caring service, then check out Finney's. My brother and I went there last Sunday Oct 10th to reserve a table for our respective families. We needed a table for 8, and they have one in the restaurant that can accommodate us; so we booked it, grabbed a couple of drinks (818 blonde & spicy pineapple margarita) and sat outside while we wait. They initially said the wait will be about 1.5 hours, but in about 45 minutes we received the text that the table was ready. We all eventually sat down, and everyone from our server to our bussers was friendly and accommodating. Initially, the bar tender seemed like she was a bit busy and was curt, but which bar tender isn't curt when they're busy. I've got thick skin, so it's all good. Remember one thing folks, a lot of these restaurants are finding it difficult to find employees, so please be patient with the employees if they are less than perfect. Most of these employees are college kids, at least one busser was still in high school, so be understanding and patient, and try to support the businesses in your area. Moreover, expect price increases, as no restaurant will survive unless they increase their prices; they're getting hit with a double whammy of inflation and loss of patrons due to covid. Having stated all of that, the food was truly amazing! For appetizers we ordered 2 crispy brussels, carnitas nachos, side of onion rings and fries for the kids. For our entrees we ordered the Finney burger, 2 margarita pizzas, 1 Gary's pepperoni, hot wings (they make it super duper spicy if you ask them), and one other dish that I have since forgotten, but everyone on our table enjoyed every bite of our food. I visited this location before going to the movies. I sat in the patio during happy hour and watched TNF. The beef and ahi tuna tacos were good but the drinks were watered down. I had a raspberry gin and spicy margarita. Definitely needed more liquor. M-F 3-5 is HH. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I would return during happy hour for the food. read more

Wow! This is our third time here and we're just as impressed as the first time! Made it for happy hour (3-5 is tight, but prices are worth getting here!) The Blackberry Gin Fizz is such an amazing, refreshing cocktail...I'm hooked! We ordered the buffalo cauli bites (YUM!) and the mushroom truffle flatbread (spectacular!) and spent the extra $2 for the cauliflower crust... SO worth it! The details on this flatbread (black garlic, fontina, arugula & truffle cream) are simply mouth watering! Service was awesome, even in a packed house (thanks Lexi!) Saw a few taco orders being delivered that looked like big portions and really fresh, so they're on my agenda for next time. Their menu (food AND drink) has so many enticing choices, it will be a fun summer trying them all out! It was disappointing to see a jerk at a neighboring table chew out a waitress for no apparent reason...I really wish people would have more compassion/patience and lighten up on hard-working staff! First time here, the restaurant has a good vibe, nice decor and atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. During our visit, the manager checked on us twice. We ordered a couple appetizers, the seafood ceviche and the carnitas nachos were both delicious. My wife ordered a Topa Topa Tux beer, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. For an entree, she ordered the Asian Ahi Salad, the Ahi was seared perfectly. My stepdaughter ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula flatbread with the cauliflower gluten-free crust. I ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula flatbread with the regular crust-both were delightfully tasty, and each had a uniquely delicious flavor profile with the spicy honey drizzled on top. I also ordered a pint of the Craftsman 1903 Pre-prohibition Lager, and it was light and refreshing on such a hot day. All the ingredients appeared to be very fresh, the food was prepared and plated with a high standard. I asked the manager if the restaurant was corporate or privately owned, he said it is family owned. It shows in the level of care in the selection and training of the staff and the ingredients and preparation of the food. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will be back. read more

Tuesday night wife and I dined in bar. my beer was warm and super foamy, the Mexican lager. her ace cider was flat and not cold the pizza was cold and soggy the beer was warm the chicken wings were so terrible we didn't eat them soggy not crispy. The salad was okay at least It was cold not warm at the end of the night I felt ripped off and wasted $100 dollars on terrible drinks and terrible food seriously the pizza seemed as if It was frozen and microwaved rubbery crust and room Temp at best. Everytime me and my wife would watch a movie at amc, we always see this place packed. We wanted to try it but there's just so many people. We had a chance last week for a lunch with nephew and his wife. There weren't many people that time so we were seated quickly. Straight on to our order. We had the truffle burger and it was so good! The prime rib sandwich is ok. Chicken wings are not great in my opinion. They put too much breading. The impossible salad is boring. Well that's expected of a vegan salad I guess. The pretzel is ok. I've had better. The onion rings are very good but very little serving and not worth the price. I wish they put more in there. What I liked is the beer flight. I got 4 of their best sellers and they are all excellent. If ever we come back here,,, it's not going to be for a meal but for a drink! hehe! I also like their patio seating. Came here with my friends on a Thursday around 6pm. Happy hour is between 3-5 so just missed it. It gets pretty busy but the wait is not too bad. Waited 22 minutes before we got our table for party of 6. While waiting, they serve you drinks at the patio waiting area where there is plenty of tables and chairs so it keeps you busy. Parking is plenty! So no trouble looking for parking. Appetizers, we ordered the nachos and quesadilla. It's a good portion to share with 5 people for the nachos. The chicken quesadilla was tasty, not over cooked, the salsa has a little bit of a kick. I wasn't able to order any cocktail drink but after the baby I will definitely try their drinks. One of us ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and they liked it. For dessert they only have three choices, the churros, cookie with ice cream, and a chocolate brownie, we tried the churros which came with two dips. All in all, this place is great for group, we got to stay for 2 hours. They show the playoffs too for sports fans :) will definitely come back. read more

Never heard of this place before but boy am I happy to have given it a shot! I had some amazing wings that I can't really compare to anything else but we're so good. Their choices of craft beers was awesome. This place is a great place for family dinner, date night, or to watch a game. Super clean and best of all have a changing table for babies ! We had no wait on a Saturday afternoon for a table of 4. Nice change in format from most eateries... most items are in the $10-12 range and the serving size is large enough but not too much. Great for a few starters and a drink. The beer selection was decent. We shared a Lady Face Blind Ambition beer with hints of chocolate and coffee. It was a tasty. The food was delicious! We had the loaded tater tots absolutely yummy 5/5. The pretzel was delivered hot with three sauces; of course the cheese sauce was preferred 5/5. I had the hickory burger which was good 4/5. Another had the bison burger which was juicy 4.5/5 and BBQ chicken pizza which was large and tasty 4.5/5. Dessert was warm churros with an incredible caramel sauce. Jessen's service was spot on. We were very excited to try this place as the pictures online of the food looked amazing. We drove in from Moorpark just to do something out of town. We had an hour wait, which is expected on a Friday night. We were sat by 9pm. By this time we were starving. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers and 3 burgers with sides of tater tots (which are extra $) As we waited, we were making plans to come again because the menu selection looked great and there were more things we wanted to try. Needless to say it was an extremely disappointing experience and they lost first time customers. The service is slow, and the food was gross. What ever you do, do not order the tater tots! How can someone mess up tater tots? This place found a way. The wings and fried cauliflower were also gross. Everything tasted like they were fried in week old cooking oil. As we were walking out after paying, I was upset I didn't speak up and say something to the waiter. We looked across the parking lot and saw a Jersey Mikes. We all laughed and thought, we could have had a better meal there for about $90 less. Never again. read more

Liked this spot a lot! Hubby and I came w our baby girl for a date night randomly. I got the locally brewed blood orange beer $7 and ahi salad $16, which was surprisingly very filling, and my husband got the pastrami sandwich $14? with fries, and said things tasted pretty decent. Though, I think he was a little bit disappointed with the size and portion because we are used to a lot more meat in pastrami sandwiches from going to Brents deli or Langer's. Overall, we got kind of a YardHouse vibe, esp in the bar area where we sat. Friendly people, loud but not overly so. Really, I would go back just for the locally brewed beer, it was delicious, and I was really impressed that they had so many offerings for craft draft beers! The plaza itself where it is located is quite lovely, so we walked around afterward, and stood in front of an outdoor fireplace, and later got some coffee from Peet's to finish off our evening.
