The hostess passed us up on the Yelp waitlist. I checked in like it said and she said the table was being wiped down. 10 minutes later, she was taking people AFTER me. I had to reapproach and only then did she seat us. We were even sitting on the inside bench directly in front of her! Why use Yelp if it doesn't work?! read more

Let me preface this review by stating that my friends LOVE this restaurant and feel that my visit is not reflective of the general experiences they have had. Here goes! Was very excited to try a new restaurant in Porter Ranch. Service began well. I was served a passion fruit iced tea and shared a couple appetiZers with my friends including their favorites the coconut shrimp and Buffalo cauliflower. The coconut shrimp had a good batter, and the cauliflower was tasty. I'm not a blue cheese fan and was tentative to share, as the cauliflower is situated atop a creamy sauce that looks like blue cheese. It's not! The only blue cheese included are crumbles and for fellow-Blue-cheese-haters, totally avoidable. We ordered main dishes: I went for, what I believed, was simple. Grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup. My friends got hamburgers, a pastrami sandwich, and salmon salad. We waited. And waited. Watched three other tables be seated, served, and leave. Finally our food came out, about 45 minutes to an hour later. The "grilled cheese" was unrecognizable- the cheese was black and, upon initial inspection, I thought it was ham. The soup was lukewarm and glued to the edges of the bowl. I took one look at it and sent it back. The burgers were also in dire shape. The buns were rock hard, and accompanying pickle was shriveled. We sent our food back. Things happen. And this is where I became dissatisfied. My "new" grilled cheese arrived. The cheese wasn't melted. The soup was the same soup... same bowl, same temperature. Not replaced with fresh soup. And my friends burgers? This is where it gets particularly bad. The same meat was placed on a different bun. This is a health and safety issue. I brought it to the attention of the Assistant Manager. His reaction is why I am giving 3 stars instead of 1. He did his best to ameliorate the situation and offered to remake the food. Given the extraordinarily long wait for food, we declined. He was everything a manager should be: apologized, validated, and sought to remedy the situation. He even threw in dessert. A brownie. This was a kitchen and delivery failure- you don't send out food that was returned to the kitchen. And you don't send out food that looks bad. The brownie was a nice touch but sadly was burnt. I might be willing to try another location in the future given the high praises from my friends, but for now I will say: overall, this is a below average dining experience with above average customer service. read more

First off, I'd like to start by saying I don't review many places, but my experience tonight was absolutely spectacular. The food tasted fresh and full of flavor, everyone I spoke with was as nice as could be and immediately made myself and my girlfriend, regulars of the Finneys in Porter ranch. After 6 years living here, we've started to venture out of our comfort zone and let me tell you--I think my girlfriend loves the flatbread pizza more than my own!! Hostess and Wait staff were very attentive & friendly. The food (wings, burgers, drinks) was excellent as always. My only complaint was the unwillingness of the waitress to split our bill for the 3 groups in our party. After asking for our bill to be split the waitress kindly pointed to the tablet on the table and said It would do it for us. It definitely wasnt an option available on the tablet. It required us to break out our phones to calculate the total for each group and when your trying to make a movie thats the last thing you want. Overall, great experience. When we arrived there was a wait time of 30 minutes and they sat us down before that. It was pretty cold outside and they sat us outside however their heaters kept us very warm and comfortable. They have an amazing drink selection, and the burgers my fiancé and I ordered were delicious! Our waiter was quick and efficient and stayed on top of our drinks the whole time we were there. They are quite a disaster right now even for pick up. I am here waiting for a pick up order 20 minutes past the 30 minutes they quoted and it's only 3:45. I would stay away for now. They keep saying I'm waiting for French fries so all the rest of my food is sitting somewhere. Of course they clicked I picked up the order online when I arrived but yet I'm still waiting. update: The manager comped my food but I was right the nacho's had sat out so long the avocado's had turned black. This has become me and my husband's favorite spot. We live in Santa Clarita but we make it out to Porter Ranch at least once every two weeks. The food is great the service is awesome. I usually like to say close to home but I'm glad I get to get out of my comfort zone and go somewhere where I feel appreciate it as a guest. The food is amazing. If my husband asked me for pokey tacos one more time I don't know what I will do. Everything I've tried there has been amazing. Love the staff I will be returning here often. read more

Nice spot to just hang out and catch a game. The ginger beer was refreshing and the kombucha hit the spot. Appetizers were tasty. Bison burger was good but lacked in flavor, just a one note burger. It needed something other than just a patty and cheese. The pickle really helped but there was only one. Churros were delicious, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chocolate chip cookie sandwich was horrible though. It was rock hard and this was the restaurants second attempt at fixing the problem. Gave up on that order. Our waitress Jess was great! Surprisingly long wait for a Wednesday evening, but can't fault them for that! At least they have a text message system, so you can roam around. Parking is obviously great, because it's at the vineyards. Food/drinks: Truffle Burger and Fries - the burger was pretty good, but the fries were incredible. Other people on here complaining about the size probably should just stick to Red Robin. Kids flatbread - messy looking and really thin, but decent flavor. Churros - amazing! Our family was introduced to Finney's at their Santa Barbara location and we had an excellent meal. We've visited the Porter Ranch location maybe three or four times, and we admire the fact that Finney's has held their prices, and we still enjoy the festive atmosphere and excellent service, but the food quality has declined. The carnitas nachos seemed dry and with less carnitas than we were used to. The two flatbread pizzas were outright dry, and the hot house wings were excessively salty. The pretzel with dipping sauces was still very good. As fun and vibrant as the atmosphere is, it will probably be a while before we return. read more

My kind of place. There's a cool Gastropub vibe going on when you walk in. Kinda like Yard House but not so cold and corporate. And you asked for tajin on the rim and he says u can't put tajin on a plastic cup. Then why have it in your menu. "And yesss u could put tajin on any cup" Don't let this guy get behind the bar. Very unprofessional as soon as I walked away after asking him he rolls his eye when I turn my back. Yesssss my daughter saw you. I will never go to this place again. Just had a delicious dinner at a new restaurant opening to the public on Monday at The Vineyards in Porter Ranch - Finney's Crafthouse. Wow! What a great new restaurant. It's a gastropub style. The food is amazing and the staff was awesome. Our waitress Jordan was awesome too. I'm stuffed from all this amazing food. And all staff is wearing gloves and masks plus there's sanitizer stations all over. I definitely felt safe. They also have a patio. I definitely recommend everyone going to try them out soon. read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the bar since it was a 30min+ wait for a table. Sat down at a table where a group had just left, so it was dirty. Tried to make eye contact with several servers to get the table cleaned. No one would approach. Walked up to the front myself to ask and was told someone would come by. No one came by until asking several more people several more times. Finally ordered, busboy finally came. Walked up front to pay the bill since no server to help again. Was told can't use apply pay. Paid in cash and ran out as fast as we could. After we left, we realized the guy gave back incorrect change. He likely pocketed the $10, so pay attention when you pay. Finally a good gastropub in the area. Great food and good service. It gets packed pretty quickly so if you don't get there early, expect to wait a while for your table but this plaza has whole food market and nordstrom rack so it won't be too hard to keep yourself occupied while waiting. I really like their mahi mahi tacos and flatbread pizza. Other food I tried was all good, too (nachos, wings, burgers). It is located right next to AMC movie theater so you can even catch a movie after on the weekend night! read more

It was my first time here and right off the bat it had a great environment. We ordered the tater tot appetizer, which was the perfect amount to share for two people. I had the truffle burger, which was amazing, and my girl had the Cobb salad made into a wrap. Finneys craftshouse was a pleasure. The truffle burger was amazing and really juicy, I would even say on a same par as the counter or any other great burger places. Their truffle fries weren't my favorite but still great, I also got their tater tots and it was much better and more delish! I also got their passion fruit mojito and it was a delicious blend of fruit and sparkling flavor! I do think the food portions are on the smaller end but for the price, I wasn't complaining at all!
