Liked this spot a lot! Hubby and I came w our baby girl for a date night randomly. I got the locally brewed blood orange beer $7 and ahi salad $16, which was surprisingly very filling, and my husband got the pastrami sandwich $14? with fries, and said things tasted pretty decent. Though, I think he was a little bit disappointed with the size and portion because we are used to a lot more meat in pastrami sandwiches from going to Brents deli or Langer's. Overall, we got kind of a YardHouse vibe, esp in the bar area where we sat. Friendly people, loud but not overly so. Really, I would go back just for the locally brewed beer, it was delicious, and I was really impressed that they had so many offerings for craft draft beers! The plaza itself where it is located is quite lovely, so we walked around afterward, and stood in front of an outdoor fireplace, and later got some coffee from Peet's to finish off our evening. Finney's has become a family favorite. The service is great and the food as well as the ambiance fits all of our family's tastes.

This place needs to get stuff together, seriously. Take notes from the Westlake location. First, the host quotes a 2 hour wait (it was a Friday night, so fine). When she gets our name down around 8:00 pm, she says that the kitchen does close at 10 pm but do a last call around 9:00 pm, and said "she hopes that we make it before the kitchen closes". Oh? Let me just wait at the chance of maybe not getting food lol. She also suggested we get drinks at the bar to go to wait, which we did. Which by the way, TOOK FOREVER. Funny enough, as soon as we sat down to sip our "to go drinks", our table was then ready. Seriously? They had over 5 tables open and the host said that they can sit empty up to 20-30 minutes to give people "a grace period" to get their table. Most restaurant give you 5 minutes! There are A LOT of employees standing around, but this place seems to be disorganized. read more

A regular spot for us to go to -- good food, good atmosphere, etc! Very popular and crowded especially fri-sun evenings. Expect to have to wait for a table especially if your party is larger than two people. They do let you order apps at the bar so if you find seating you can start there while you wait for a table. Great place to try beers and good foods. The service is ok depending on the servers. They have a fantastic vibes. Sometimes their fried food especially coconut shrimp is overcooked and the color is very brown with black spots, but normally very good. One downside is that the servers and the cleaning crews are in a hurry to clear the table even when there is left food on the plate. Due to the other customer who's waiting, servers give the pressure to leave if we are no ordering more and just chatting. I understand that they are busy but this happens every time I visit during the peak hours. read more

Let me preface this review by stating that my friends LOVE this restaurant and feel that my visit is not reflective of the general experiences they have had. Here goes! Was very excited to try a new restaurant in Porter Ranch. Service began well. I was served a passion fruit iced tea and shared a couple appetiZers with my friends including their favorites the coconut shrimp and Buffalo cauliflower. The coconut shrimp had a good batter, and the cauliflower was tasty. I'm not a blue cheese fan and was tentative to share, as the cauliflower is situated atop a creamy sauce that looks like blue cheese. It's not! The only blue cheese included are crumbles and for fellow-Blue-cheese-haters, totally avoidable. We ordered main dishes: I went for, what I believed, was simple. Grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup. My friends got hamburgers, a pastrami sandwich, and salmon salad. We waited. And waited. Watched three other tables be seated, served, and leave. Finally our food came out, about 45 minutes to an hour later. The "grilled cheese" was unrecognizable- the cheese was black and, upon initial inspection, I thought it was ham. The soup was lukewarm and glued to the edges of the bowl. I took one look at it and sent it back. The burgers were also in dire shape. The buns were rock hard, and accompanying pickle was shriveled. We sent our food back. Things happen. And this is where I became dissatisfied. My "new" grilled cheese arrived. The cheese wasn't melted. The soup was the same soup... same bowl, same temperature. Not replaced with fresh soup. And my friends burgers? This is where it gets particularly bad. The same meat was placed on a different bun. This is a health and safety issue. I brought it to the attention of the Assistant Manager. His reaction is why I am giving 3 stars instead of 1. He did his best to ameliorate the situation and offered to remake the food. Given the extraordinarily long wait for food, we declined. He was everything a manager should be: apologized, validated, and sought to remedy the situation. He even threw in dessert. A brownie. This was a kitchen and delivery failure- you don't send out food that was returned to the kitchen. And you don't send out food that looks bad. The brownie was a nice touch but sadly was burnt. I might be willing to try another location in the future given the high praises from my friends, but for now I will say: overall, this is a below average dining experience with above average customer service. read more

We ate at Finney's last night and had about a 45 minute wait (no reservations) -- which we had anticipated and walked around the various other stores/restaurants while we waited. At about the 45 minute point, we were seated and quite quickly our server came with menus and took our drink order. The drinks came within a few minutes and, at that time, we ordered. Of note, we ordered at the same time as a table adjacent to ours. The orders are taken on an ipad so they arrive in the kitchen almost immediately. After about 25 minutes (a fairly long wait but the restaurant was, in all fairness, crowded), the table next to ours received their meals -- ours, however, did not arrive for nearly 20 more minutes. We shared our displeasure with our server (who remained available and accommodating throughout the meal experience) and he said he would have the manager come over and speak with us. She came over a few minutes later -- having already been briefed by our server as to what happened -- but also wanted to hear directly from us. We shared the experience with her and she immediately accepted responsibility and told us that our entire meal was comped. Outstanding customer service. Beyond that, the food was very good. We each had a sandwich which was prepared exactly as described in the menu (along with a few changes we requested) and served in a pleasing manner. The side wedge salad was excellent but, unfortunately, the fries were somewhat cold. We chose not to return them given the wait time we had already experienced. Our hope is that this experience was an anomaly and plan to return to Finney's again in the near future -- and hopefully not have a repeat. Again, the caring manner that it was handled by management speaks volumes about the restaurant. read more

They are quite a disaster right now even for pick up. I am here waiting for a pick up order 20 minutes past the 30 minutes they quoted and it's only 3:45. I would stay away for now. They keep saying I'm waiting for French fries so all the rest of my food is sitting somewhere. Of course they clicked I picked up the order online when I arrived but yet I'm still waiting. update: The manager comped my food but I was right the nacho's had sat out so long the avocado's had turned black. Overall, great experience. When we arrived there was a wait time of 30 minutes and they sat us down before that. It was pretty cold outside and they sat us outside however their heaters kept us very warm and comfortable. They have an amazing drink selection, and the burgers my fiancé and I ordered were delicious! Our waiter was quick and efficient and stayed on top of our drinks the whole time we were there. First time visiting the place. Daughter and I sat down for lunch. When we arrived it must of been 75% full. Pretty busy for a Wednesday. We ordered an appetizer and our lunch plates. This has become me and my husband's favorite spot. We live in Santa Clarita but we make it out to Porter Ranch at least once every two weeks. The food is great the service is awesome. I usually like to say close to home but I'm glad I get to get out of my comfort zone and go somewhere where I feel appreciate it as a guest. The food is amazing. We have been here before and sat in the area and enjoyed it. This time we waited 30 min on mid sat afternoon and we sat outside. We found the tables really dirty. Not something you can Wipe off, they hadbig slats where food all fell and got gross. It was very warm and the fan did not work. Nice spot to just hang out and catch a game. The ginger beer was refreshing and the kombucha hit the spot. Appetizers were tasty. Bison burger was good but lacked in flavor, just a one note burger. It needed something other than just a patty and cheese. The pickle really helped but there was only one. Churros were delicious, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chocolate chip cookie sandwich was horrible though. It was rock hard and this was the restaurants second attempt at fixing the problem. Gave up on that order. Our waitress Jess was great! This place reminds me of Dave and Buster's minus the games. It's obviously a more upscale locale and maybe the prices are higher, but the quality of the food is surprisingly mediocre. I had some sort of sad chicken sandwich and my dining parter had a rather soul-less jalapeno egg cheeseburger. Both of these dishes were woefully short on basic vegetables like lettuce and tomato, but I'm not sure that would have been enough to salvage the meal. The cheeseburger meat had a strange gamey flavor to it that I rarely encounter when ordering cheeseburgers. The chicken breast was on the rather thin side in a way that whispered cost cutting measures, and the sandwich was oddly absent of flavor. Now allow me to turn your attention to the onion rings. Upon first bite, I almost thought these were processed onion rings, with reconstituted onion on the inside. The exterior batter was just too perfect looking in a very artificial way. There was no crunch to the outside and the inside was overly mushy. I saw in another review a mention of Finney's "scratch kitchen". Don't be fooled by marketing language like this. While it might indicate food made from scratch, it doesn't automatically mean the food is good. On a positive note, the servers were very friendly and attentive. Likewise the host who greeted us did a great job of getting us situated in the seating of our choice. read more

This ones in my backyard so I expected alot from you guys but..... just like the Westlake one food was on point but wait staff lost her umf!!. She was on it at 1st. Even made sure my pup had some water to drink. After we got our drinks and put the food order in she gone.. we'd see her pass. Try to make eye contact but she was movin. It started to get busier but regardless just let people know what going on. We get it. Honesty will get you points. Still suggest checking out finneys. They have really good food. We were a party of 10 the service was fast, the food quality above average. The server was attentive and they had a computer at the table to make it easy for guest to split the checks which is great for large parties. The prices were a little high compared to other similar restaurants but otherwise it was a good place to eat. read more

Parking is obviously great, because it's at the vineyards. Food/drinks: Truffle Burger and Fries - the burger was pretty good, but the fries were incredible. Other people on here complaining about the size probably should just stick to Red Robin. Kids flatbread - messy looking and really thin, but decent flavor. Churros - amazing! Just had a delicious dinner at a new restaurant opening to the public on Monday at The Vineyards in Porter Ranch - Finney's Crafthouse. Wow! What a great new restaurant. It's a gastropub style. The food is amazing and the staff was awesome. Our waitress Jordan was awesome too. I'm stuffed from all this amazing food. And all staff is wearing gloves and masks plus there's sanitizer stations all over. I definitely felt safe. They also have a patio. I definitely recommend everyone going to try them out soon. read more
