Lots of choices here with different seafood or chicken dishes. They even have ceviche! I had the 7 piece shrimp and chips and my husband had the fish and chips. Both of our meals were fresh and wonderfully hot!! They offer tartar sauce with the fish, but you can also get garlic aioli, ranch, or bleu cheese. I had the aioli and it was awesome. Generous portions and reasonable prices. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to your table. We had excellent and friendly service! Cute interior with plenty of seating and a nautical decor.

We came here at a random week night when they were closing. We were delayed and felt bad that they were ready to close but they took our order with smiles and provided excellent customer service. We will be back to try the fish and chips and other flavors of the wings. The lemon pepper wings were by far my favorite of the batch. The crazy sauce was meant to be hot but although flavorful, it did not give me any heat. The food was fried to perfection. I loved the dry rub on the lemon pepper wings. I liked the coating of the tenders. We will be back to try more items on the menu and will try to get there before closing. Thank you for being so accommodating.

Tried this place out on a recommendation and came in at a slow time. It's a spacious area with enough seating for medium to large parties. I was immediately helped by the staff and they were more than happy to give me their favorites as someone who hasn't been here before. I tried their onion rings, fish tacos, and chicken wings with the Crazy Sauce. Wait wasn't too long and the server even provided us with extra sauce for the onion rings. The Onion Rings and Fish Taco was as great as I expected it to be. You could call me Sonic the way I was grabbing them rings, and you can call me "Bruce from Finding Nemo after sniffing a little bit of Dory's blood" the way I was devouring the fish tacos. The chicken wing sauce wasn't really for me. The presentation was also a bit lacking. It was a bit too tangy for my taste but I'm willing to try a new sauce. Staff were kind, food was good, and it's a place that I would come back to again to try other menu items.

We were soo excited to try this place but it didn't live up to the hype. I relooked at all the reviews and I'm just shocked. Not sure what happened here. Got the fish plate and there was hardly any fish in there. It might have been 1oz tops in each taco, really??? I'll stick to my other places. The mango salsa was frozen and cold. Not sure how you are to use this. My friend got the shrimp & chips. The fries were good but the shrimps had a thick batter. The shrimps were good if you take it out of the batter. Mango slaw was ok, heavy on mayo. It was just ok. Wouldn't go back. For the amount of fish I got in each taco, it was sad. Really wanted to like this place. Maybe we just got a bad batch. We were the only ones in there at 4. Friendly staff. But so sorry but not for me.

Me and my boyfriend ate here after our hike because I was craving some good fish and chips and that's what I got. We were recommended the fresh fish and I'm glad we went with that because it was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly in the savory crunchy batter. I wasn't a fan of the ceviche. I like mine packed with pico de gallo. It was still good considering I don't like raw fish. The interior was very cute. Sailing at sea vibes. The guy who took our order was very nice and friendly too :)

Post-Game Stop- Fins N Wings.... My nephew LOVES wings so I told him I'd bring him here for his bday lunch after baseball and flag football this weekend. He said they were THE BEST! We got bone in wings Buffalo and Honey Mustard. The fries are better than like a Rally's fry, with special seasoning. I match it up to what I've had in Maui , served amazingly well with fish and chicken, just like in Hawaii. The fish was so fresh- I had the fish tacos . it may take some time to get your food because they make it completely fresh so be patient. It'll all be worth it once you get to take your first bite! The service is outstanding between the front counter and the back. Shown here is Mike who went out of his way to make sure every customer seated there was having a good experience. Ambiance was quaint, clean and happy vibes. Love the pics on the wall of their family making fresh fish local catches to offer in the menu .

Was a big surprise. I was looking for a place that served great fish and chips. Went on instagram and found out this place had the most videos. So, my wife and I made it a date night. Very clean establishment. You can tell they took pride in it. Quickly ordered 2 fish and chips, lemon and pepper bone in wings, and two fountain drinks. Took 8 minutes to arrive. Fish looked amazing. Wings too. What struck me was the freshness of the fish. Not a fishy taste and definitely not greasy. Clean and the right amount of batter. Crispy outside and tender perfectly cooked on the inside. French fries were awesome. Great crispy coating on outside and soft pillow texture on the inside. You could tell cooked in separate oil. Same with the wings. Perfect seasoning and not over powering. Very tasty and to me, better than BWW. Great food, somewhat good location, worth the drive

Yum yummy yum another Instagram trap!! Dropping Max off in Orange and remembered there was place I wanted to try. Oh my am I glad we did. Nephew doesn't like fish so he got the lemon pepper boneless wings. Max and I got the catch of the day fish which was halibut. So good!! This place is excellent. Everything from the food to the service is great. It's clean, and there's plenty of seating. Everything was cooked to order and piping hot. We got the Shrimp and chips, fish and chips, and wings with crazy sauce (Buffalo & BBQ sauce mix). Everything was on point. The combos also came with a side of mango cole slaw which was also surprisingly good. If I had 1 knock, it would be there wasn't cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Other that that, will definitely be back.

This place has been open for less than a month and I've already been there twice in two days! Went in yesterday and came back again earlier today because this place is that great. Yesterday, I was greeted by the owner and two front of house employees that were great. Today, the owner and another man that was working the front greeted me again and welcomed me back in. Here's what I've tried so far: **Shrimp Ceviche: Everything was fresh and popping with flavor. I highly recommend especially with your fish and wings. It's big enough to share with another person but don't blame me if it's so good that you can't share it. (5/5) **Local Fish and Chips - Halibut: I love how it wasn't greasy at all which is always a plus. The fish stayed smoking hot throughout my entire meal and it was cooked so perfectly that the meat just fell right off. You won't find a more moist and tender piece of fish anywhere else. I will also point out that the fries are hands down the best I've ever had. Amazing! (5/5) **Wings (High Tide): As a chef's favorite with a specialty sauce, I had to try it out. The pictures look great and on top, you have furikake and sesame seeds sprinkled. It's on the saltier side but the flavor was spot on! (4.5/5) **Wings (Silk Road): When I heard Arab and Indian flavors with masala, I had to try it out! Very delicious mix of flavors! Plenty of sauce was slathered on but wasn't too salty. Best wings on the planet! (5/5) **House Fish Taco: My mom had this and she said it was amazing. I believe it 100% because we have similar taste buds. She made it a combo and got onion rings. Those onion rings are to die for. Amazing presentation and quality control. (5/5) They have an amazing sauce bar with pre-filled little containers on top of ice to keep it cold. I tried all the sauces and they were delicious. The cilantro creme was on the lighter side but liked the citrus flavor from the lime. I wanted the garlic aioli to be more garlicky but still had a great flavor profile. Ranch was great. Their tartar sauce is one of the best ones I've ever tried. The highlight of the sauce bar was definitely their pineapple habanero. I used it as a little side dish because there's tiny diced pineapples with a good amount of heat to it. The man working at noon today, October 14, 2024 was awesome! Answered all my questions and gave a thorough explanation of the different flavors of wings I wanted to know about. Also overheard his conversations with other guests and he had an answer to every single question about the menu. Give this man a raise! Huge shoutout to the owner and everyone that works at this establishment. This is the first time in a very long time where I tried a restaurant that hasn't been open for too long but everybody is on the same page and knows the answer to every question related to the menu. Place is really spacious and very clean. Love the ambiance and the music plays all the hits from Elton John to Top Pop hits. Fins N Wings is easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of Orange County now. I wish this place was closer but I'll take the 15-20 minute drive here every once in a while. I hope this place is open for a long time because it's really hard to find a place like this where hospitality is 100% genuine. Try this place out and thank me later.

This brand new restaurant with an extremely welcoming atmosphere is a breath of fresh air. The decor had me feeling like i was on a boat thanks to the art and design the owners made on the wall. The tables and floors are very clean. They have tables that are high with stools and traditional tables lower to the ground. Made of nice, finished wood. On the wall next to the register are some nice pictures of the owners locally fishing for the catch being served on a daily basis. Can you get any more fresh? The menu does change depending on the local catch. Its also why they open later. The even have a Marlon fish statue on the wall. At least i think thats what it is. Very cool. The music wasn't loud and I enjoyed it. They have a single co-gender restroom. I was greeted cheerfully by one of the owners who took his time to explain the menu and the catches of the day. He also gave me recommendations on what would be best to try and with what. Their fish are cooked to order fried or grilled. The portions are not disappointing either. Im a foodie and it filled me up completely. They have a salsa bar that is well managed and made in-house. They also have plenty of drinks, both fountain and bottled but no alcohol. I had the Fish and chips. The fish was golden brown and flakey. So fresh and melted in my mouth. I also tried the fish tacos. The meals were absolutely some of the best fish cuisines ive had in a restaurant setting. Very inspiring concept of turning a hobby into a business to be shared so all can enjoy the fresh catch of the day at a reasonable price. My experience with this establishment was wonderful. I would recommend you check out this restaurant if you are looking to have the freshest and well prepared fish dishes.

I was really reluctant to give this review because I don't like giving bad reviews unless the service was really bad. However, I will be honest. I was disappointed for a number of reasons. 1. What I received for what I paid for my lunch meal...$32 is disappointing. 2. I got sick afterwards. I don't know if It was the Orange Roughy, the Jalapeno Poppers or the cooking oil? Now the customer service was very good. The lady at the register was awesome. And the guy who took my order was good too. The restaurant was clean and new looking. I probably should have asked the price of their fish and chips vs the catch of the day. But I really wanted to like the place because I eat predominantly a pescatarian diet. But $19 for those two small fillets and that little bit of fries was not worth it. It was delicious tho (even though I got sick). The Jalapeno Poppers were bomb too. I just can't see myself going back

Went here for the first time today after a review we saw online and we were not disappointed. We ordered the local fish and chips (which was halibut today) and were absolutely blown away by the quality and freshness. The fish was so juicy, crispy and delicious, the tartar sauce was the perfect sour dip to go with it, and the fries were incredibly crispy and fluffy (not the small mass produced stuff, well-battered bread-y fries in the best way possible!). Even after squeezing the incredibly juicy grilled lemon onto my fish, it stayed crispy throughout my meal. The local fish and chips came with two large pieces of fish and a ton of fries which was perfect to split between two. Not to mention the incredible service we received while ordering our meal. The cashier was super patient as we browsed the menu and even delivered our food to our seat. I felt well cared for and extremely satisfied by my ordering experience. I cannot recommend this place enough, the flavor and quality of their food will sate any fish and chips craving. To my knowledge, this is 100% the best fish and chips place local to this area. I can confidently say it's a hidden gem! The fish and chips were absolutely perfect - the fish was crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside, paired with golden, perfectly seasoned fries that were hard to stop eating. But what truly surprised me were the wings! They were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of heat and flavor. I would definitely recommend the Crazy Sauce (buffalo and bbq sauce mixed together). The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance made for a great casual dining experience. Our server was outside talking on the phone jacking off. Came into the restaurant with uncleaned table and seats. Only food that is remarkable would be the fish and chips. Everything else is overpriced or poorly made or stored. Seafood is frozen to an ice and served that way, and the guac looked premade that was forgotten about in their walk-in. read more

Great experience for my first time here. Called in my order and they let me make some changes easily. Got there and everyone was super-nice. The fish and chips were excellent! I got the swai with extra tartar sauce. The tarter sauce was really good, which is helpful because it can make or break fish and chips. Other fish and chips places hoard their sauce like it's gold or something and this wasn't a problem here. Place wasn't busy, which scares me, because I want them to thrive and be around for awhile. Very worth your time if you like fish and chips (and probably wings.) read more

I would like to note though that the recommended "one container of sauce per meal" is inadequate--2 large pieces of fried fish needs more than 1 tiny container of sauce. Absolutely delectable fish n chips here. My partner and I ordered their standard fish and chips and we loved it. Their home made tartar sauce combined with their fresh and light batter made for a delicious meal. We were accompanied by Adin who was working the cashier at the time and provided amazing, personable service despite preparing for closing. This place also has an amazing ambiance with interior decoration matching that of a boat out at sea, which adds immersion to the location as well. Will definitely be coming back! read more

We had the fried whole fish and it was phenomenal! The seasoning was well balanced and the crisp to the fish was just heavenly. My son had the fried chicken sandwich and he devoured it! Mike was super friendly and my husband said he was passionate about his cooking and let me tell you that it shows!!! Normally a whole fried fish doesn't travel well but the way he packed the fish traveled really well. He also made us a Cole slaw that was so delish! read more

Found this gem on yelp due to our favorite fish n chip places in south Orange County closed permanently in the last few months. We will definitely be back, the drive from RSM is worth it. On this visit the fish of the day was Halibut. I decided on fish n chips. The hubby chose two fish tacos. We both chose halibut for our dishes. Delicious! The breading on the fish was crisp but not overly crunchy where it took away from tasting the fish. The fish was cooked to perfection. The tartar sauce was great and they had a habanero/pineapple mashup that input on my taco. So good. The tacos are the perfect size. Hubby and me always are disappointed when places serve tacos on the big corn tortillas and then just top with everything they can think of. We actually could taste the fish, cabbage. I would have kept the pico de gallo but the hubby ordered without it (sad face here) . Anyway we will definitely be back and will more than likely bring my daughter and her boyfriend so they can try also. I'm thinking whole fish next time! read more

I wanted to write this review right away - we just left. All I have to say is WOW! I am not one to leave reviews, but had no doubt that I needed to write a review of this place. The owner David was fabulous. He was very personal, generous, and engaging with us. Also the girl at the front register was very kind I wish I got her name. The food completely spoke for itself!! FRESH fish, large quantities, and authentic tastes in the homemade sauces. Between the food, being amazing and the customer service being great, they earned our loyalty as customers! Nice guy taking my order. Need more orientation to know the prices of the fresh fish that you can buy. Ordered their fish and chips. No flavor in their batter, forgot the salt perhaps? but the Roughy fish was really good. He told me that their regular fish is swai, heck no, those are soft kind, I like fish fry that I can chew! it's to go, and they don't have packaged Malted Vinegar or even ready for "to go order." The fries were good but it's a bit much, perhaps cut it down a bit? I don't care for their tartar sauce, H Salt is better. I will return to ck for improvements in their batter and eat there next time. read more

Hole in the wall joint Ive been wanting to try for sometime now. They have a slightly more costly option of "fresh catch of the day", which is the only way to go! The freshness of the fish was wonderful! The batter was good, not great. It was crispy, not crunchy tough. The fries were good with an added seasoning to beef em up. I also ordered the dry rub cajun wings "extra crispy". The chicken was crispy, but the "dry rub" only resembled someone sprinkling on some powder seasoning,and wherever it fell, it fell..on only one side of the wings! Without the small amount of season, the rest of the chicken had no flavor whatsoever. The fish didnt come with lemon. The wings came with ranch, but I had to remind them about that. The service itself was kind, and good. It may have been a hectic scene before I walked in, but either way - the fiod is what really counts! FRESHLY CAUGHT FISH - a MUST! Dry rub wings - NO CHANCE! Overall Id give this place a 3.5, but since the manager asked how everything was and stood there to hear all of this, they got my 4th star. They mean well, and are kind, but they need to revamp the "& wings" side of their business. Give them a shot, & better luck to you! read more

My first visit was in the first week of operation. I tried fish tacos and bone in wings. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The service is outstanding, I had a ton of questions and the counter staff were really informative. I will definitely return to sample more menu items. We stopped by today and ordered the market fish and chips and the wings which were both great. Their lemon pepper wings are the best we've had! They came out hot, crispy, and well coated and weren't overly salty like most wing places. Although the food was good the service from Fares was what is going to have us coming back. He checked on us and made sure everything was to our liking. I love supporting small business in Orange and really hope they stick around for a long time! read more

My husband and I ate lunch last Saturday and were not disappointed. We chose the locally-caught fish that was halibut. It was cooked to perfection. The batter was light and very crispy. There are also municipal lots around downtown orange and the traffic circle which offer additional spaces. We will definitely return. Loved the kitschy decor and old gas station feel.

The halibut was perfectly cooked very moist and flavorful, with that golden, crispy coating that crunches and melts in your mouth. I decided to give this place a try after seeing all the great reviews, and it did not disappoint! The menu is simple, which I love--it means they focus on doing a few things really well.
