Lots of choices here with different seafood or chicken dishes. They even have ceviche! I had the 7 piece shrimp and chips and my husband had the fish and chips. Both of our meals were fresh and wonderfully hot!! They offer tartar sauce with the fish, but you can also get garlic aioli, ranch, or bleu cheese. I had the aioli and it was awesome. Generous portions and reasonable prices. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to your table. We had excellent and friendly service! Cute interior with plenty of seating and a nautical decor.

We came here at a random week night when they were closing. We were delayed and felt bad that they were ready to close but they took our order with smiles and provided excellent customer service. We will be back to try the fish and chips and other flavors of the wings. The lemon pepper wings were by far my favorite of the batch. The crazy sauce was meant to be hot but although flavorful, it did not give me any heat. The food was fried to perfection. I loved the dry rub on the lemon pepper wings. I liked the coating of the tenders. We will be back to try more items on the menu and will try to get there before closing. Thank you for being so accommodating.

Tried this place out on a recommendation and came in at a slow time. It's a spacious area with enough seating for medium to large parties. I was immediately helped by the staff and they were more than happy to give me their favorites as someone who hasn't been here before. I tried their onion rings, fish tacos, and chicken wings with the Crazy Sauce. Wait wasn't too long and the server even provided us with extra sauce for the onion rings. The Onion Rings and Fish Taco was as great as I expected it to be. You could call me Sonic the way I was grabbing them rings, and you can call me "Bruce from Finding Nemo after sniffing a little bit of Dory's blood" the way I was devouring the fish tacos. The chicken wing sauce wasn't really for me. The presentation was also a bit lacking. It was a bit too tangy for my taste but I'm willing to try a new sauce. Staff were kind, food was good, and it's a place that I would come back to again to try other menu items.

We were soo excited to try this place but it didn't live up to the hype. I relooked at all the reviews and I'm just shocked. Not sure what happened here. Got the fish plate and there was hardly any fish in there. It might have been 1oz tops in each taco, really??? I'll stick to my other places. The mango salsa was frozen and cold. Not sure how you are to use this. My friend got the shrimp & chips. The fries were good but the shrimps had a thick batter. The shrimps were good if you take it out of the batter. Mango slaw was ok, heavy on mayo. It was just ok. Wouldn't go back. For the amount of fish I got in each taco, it was sad. Really wanted to like this place. Maybe we just got a bad batch. We were the only ones in there at 4. Friendly staff. But so sorry but not for me.

Me and my boyfriend ate here after our hike because I was craving some good fish and chips and that's what I got. We were recommended the fresh fish and I'm glad we went with that because it was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly in the savory crunchy batter. I wasn't a fan of the ceviche. I like mine packed with pico de gallo. It was still good considering I don't like raw fish. The interior was very cute. Sailing at sea vibes. The guy who took our order was very nice and friendly too :)

Post-Game Stop- Fins N Wings.... My nephew LOVES wings so I told him I'd bring him here for his bday lunch after baseball and flag football this weekend. He said they were THE BEST! We got bone in wings Buffalo and Honey Mustard. The fries are better than like a Rally's fry, with special seasoning. I match it up to what I've had in Maui , served amazingly well with fish and chicken, just like in Hawaii. The fish was so fresh- I had the fish tacos . it may take some time to get your food because they make it completely fresh so be patient. It'll all be worth it once you get to take your first bite! The service is outstanding between the front counter and the back. Shown here is Mike who went out of his way to make sure every customer seated there was having a good experience. Ambiance was quaint, clean and happy vibes. Love the pics on the wall of their family making fresh fish local catches to offer in the menu .

Was a big surprise. I was looking for a place that served great fish and chips. Went on instagram and found out this place had the most videos. So, my wife and I made it a date night. Very clean establishment. You can tell they took pride in it. Quickly ordered 2 fish and chips, lemon and pepper bone in wings, and two fountain drinks. Took 8 minutes to arrive. Fish looked amazing. Wings too. What struck me was the freshness of the fish. Not a fishy taste and definitely not greasy. Clean and the right amount of batter. Crispy outside and tender perfectly cooked on the inside. French fries were awesome. Great crispy coating on outside and soft pillow texture on the inside. You could tell cooked in separate oil. Same with the wings. Perfect seasoning and not over powering. Very tasty and to me, better than BWW. Great food, somewhat good location, worth the drive

Yum yummy yum another Instagram trap!! Dropping Max off in Orange and remembered there was place I wanted to try. Oh my am I glad we did. Nephew doesn't like fish so he got the lemon pepper boneless wings. Max and I got the catch of the day fish which was halibut. So good!! This place is excellent. Everything from the food to the service is great. It's clean, and there's plenty of seating. Everything was cooked to order and piping hot. We got the Shrimp and chips, fish and chips, and wings with crazy sauce (Buffalo & BBQ sauce mix). Everything was on point. The combos also came with a side of mango cole slaw which was also surprisingly good. If I had 1 knock, it would be there wasn't cocktail sauce for the shrimp. Other that that, will definitely be back.

This place has been open for less than a month and I've already been there twice in two days! Went in yesterday and came back again earlier today because this place is that great. Yesterday, I was greeted by the owner and two front of house employees that were great. Today, the owner and another man that was working the front greeted me again and welcomed me back in. Here's what I've tried so far: **Shrimp Ceviche: Everything was fresh and popping with flavor. I highly recommend especially with your fish and wings. It's big enough to share with another person but don't blame me if it's so good that you can't share it. (5/5) **Local Fish and Chips - Halibut: I love how it wasn't greasy at all which is always a plus. The fish stayed smoking hot throughout my entire meal and it was cooked so perfectly that the meat just fell right off. You won't find a more moist and tender piece of fish anywhere else. I will also point out that the fries are hands down the best I've ever had. Amazing! (5/5) **Wings (High Tide): As a chef's favorite with a specialty sauce, I had to try it out. The pictures look great and on top, you have furikake and sesame seeds sprinkled. It's on the saltier side but the flavor was spot on! (4.5/5) **Wings (Silk Road): When I heard Arab and Indian flavors with masala, I had to try it out! Very delicious mix of flavors! Plenty of sauce was slathered on but wasn't too salty. Best wings on the planet! (5/5) **House Fish Taco: My mom had this and she said it was amazing. I believe it 100% because we have similar taste buds. She made it a combo and got onion rings. Those onion rings are to die for. Amazing presentation and quality control. (5/5) They have an amazing sauce bar with pre-filled little containers on top of ice to keep it cold. I tried all the sauces and they were delicious. The cilantro creme was on the lighter side but liked the citrus flavor from the lime. I wanted the garlic aioli to be more garlicky but still had a great flavor profile. Ranch was great. Their tartar sauce is one of the best ones I've ever tried. The highlight of the sauce bar was definitely their pineapple habanero. I used it as a little side dish because there's tiny diced pineapples with a good amount of heat to it. The man working at noon today, October 14, 2024 was awesome! Answered all my questions and gave a thorough explanation of the different flavors of wings I wanted to know about. Also overheard his conversations with other guests and he had an answer to every single question about the menu. Give this man a raise! Huge shoutout to the owner and everyone that works at this establishment. This is the first time in a very long time where I tried a restaurant that hasn't been open for too long but everybody is on the same page and knows the answer to every question related to the menu. Place is really spacious and very clean. Love the ambiance and the music plays all the hits from Elton John to Top Pop hits. Fins N Wings is easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of Orange County now. I wish this place was closer but I'll take the 15-20 minute drive here every once in a while. I hope this place is open for a long time because it's really hard to find a place like this where hospitality is 100% genuine. Try this place out and thank me later.

This brand new restaurant with an extremely welcoming atmosphere is a breath of fresh air. The decor had me feeling like i was on a boat thanks to the art and design the owners made on the wall. The tables and floors are very clean. They have tables that are high with stools and traditional tables lower to the ground. Made of nice, finished wood. On the wall next to the register are some nice pictures of the owners locally fishing for the catch being served on a daily basis. Can you get any more fresh? The menu does change depending on the local catch. Its also why they open later. The even have a Marlon fish statue on the wall. At least i think thats what it is. Very cool. The music wasn't loud and I enjoyed it. They have a single co-gender restroom. I was greeted cheerfully by one of the owners who took his time to explain the menu and the catches of the day. He also gave me recommendations on what would be best to try and with what. Their fish are cooked to order fried or grilled. The portions are not disappointing either. Im a foodie and it filled me up completely. They have a salsa bar that is well managed and made in-house. They also have plenty of drinks, both fountain and bottled but no alcohol. I had the Fish and chips. The fish was golden brown and flakey. So fresh and melted in my mouth. I also tried the fish tacos. The meals were absolutely some of the best fish cuisines ive had in a restaurant setting. Very inspiring concept of turning a hobby into a business to be shared so all can enjoy the fresh catch of the day at a reasonable price. My experience with this establishment was wonderful. I would recommend you check out this restaurant if you are looking to have the freshest and well prepared fish dishes.

I was really reluctant to give this review because I don't like giving bad reviews unless the service was really bad. However, I will be honest. I was disappointed for a number of reasons. 1. What I received for what I paid for my lunch meal...$32 is disappointing. 2. I got sick afterwards. I don't know if It was the Orange Roughy, the Jalapeno Poppers or the cooking oil? Now the customer service was very good. The lady at the register was awesome. And the guy who took my order was good too. The restaurant was clean and new looking. I probably should have asked the price of their fish and chips vs the catch of the day. But I really wanted to like the place because I eat predominantly a pescatarian diet. But $19 for those two small fillets and that little bit of fries was not worth it. It was delicious tho (even though I got sick). The Jalapeno Poppers were bomb too. I just can't see myself going back

I found this place on Google search, seeing that it was not far from H. Salt Fish and Chips and had stellar reviews. I took the family there to try some of their menu items, and they gave off a great first impression. The restaurant was clean and very welcoming. The gentleman behind the counter noticed that we wanted a table near the window that was slightly dirty, and without hesitation he came right over to wipe it down for us. It's usually at this point I say to myself, "Please be good, please be good, please be good," because I feel like this place was firing on all cylinders...until we received our food. But more on that a little later. In speaking with guy taking our order, he recommended the "fresh fish" fish 'n chips (with halibut) over the regular fish 'n chips, which he said was frozen. I don't know about you, but I don't really care about pre-frozen products as long as they are delivered well. That said, I decided to pay a little extra (app. $22 over $16) for the fresh fish 'n chips. This might be a bit controversial, but I don't know if I'd share that one of your menu items is frozen vs. another. I've watched enough Kitchen Nightmares and other food services TV shows to know that fresh is always best, even if it costs more. My suggestion would be to: ditch the frozen fish 'n chips and stick with the fresh version, even if it costs extra...OR...just sell the frozen version and imply not mention the "frozen" part if it is of good enough quality. All right, let's get to the food. The fish 'n chips were EXCELLENT. Very, very good. There were a couple bones in the fish, but that's not a dealbreaker. (It's FISH!) Now the hard part: the shrimp ceviche. My wife is a ceviche connoisseur, and right away noticed something fishy (pun intended): The shrimp were small, and there were some gobs of green stuff all around, and worst of all it looked nothing like the picture advertising it. She took one bite and that was enough for her to know it was inedible. She said it tasted like frozen shrimp were dropped in lime juice that was not fresh squeezed and passed off as a sort of ceviche concoction. Not good. Needless to say, she ate none of it. The kids seemed to like their chicken tenders, but they were spicy, which kind of turned them off to it. Next time, we'd probably get the plain boneless chicken wings, and that would have satisfied them. I wish I could get beyond 3 starts with this place, but I will have to stick with that rating. GREAT service. GREAT fish n' chips. OKAY chicken tenders. POOR shrimp ceviche. With a little more attention to detail on food quality, and maybe some menu adjustments, this place will shine bright. read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch yesterday for the first time & are so happy about this discovery! What a treat to have yummy fresh halibut tacos at such a reasonable price without going into a fancy restaurant. We were on the way to our grandson's soccer game & just ducked in, never expected to be so impressed with the fabulous menu choices, speedy service, beautiful atmosphere & delicious sauces! I am usually one to leave great reviews, but the expectation versus reality here was unfortunate. If I was reviewing on the food alone it would be a one star, but the service was good and the ranch was good, but we were really disappointed with this spot. My dad's tacos had an odd plastic taste to them, and our fish and chips were extremely mushy and undercooked. The fries were soggy, but we ordered it to go so that can be expected with takeout. We put them in the oven to reheat them, and I have never seen a greasier fry in my life. Great concept here, but we will not be returning. read more

I saw this place on OC feed and I never really had Fish and Chips so I stopped by before work. This place is in a strip mall with various businesses such as Dollar Tree, KFC, and other businesses. When you walk in there is a modern feel with theme of the restaurant taking pride in their fish that they serve. You can see the ship related decorations and many pictures of people catching fish which I'm assuming the pictures are of the owner and people who work in the restaurant. Anyway I got to the counter and ordered the fish and chips. The cashier asked me if I wanted regular fish and chips with the fish being Swai for about $16.99 or the catch of the day which was Halibut or Mahi Mahi so I went with the Halibut which cost me $22 dollars. I had to take it to go but when I got to work the dish looked great. There were two big pieces of halibut, a lot of fries, a grilled lemon, and 2 small containers of tartar sauce. The batter for the fish was just right crispy but not overpowering and the fries were still crispy even though I had to take them to work. That lemon also gave that acid to counter that richness. I would come back to try something else on the menu. read more

Found this place on Yelp last night and gave it a try. The fish are truly truly fresh. You can definitely taste the freshness. The portion is a little small for me, but it makes sense since they don't use frozen fish. Got myself the fish ceviche (9/10) and fish slider (8.5/10). The food definitely tastes more on the healthy side (I like my food seasoned heavy) so I'll definitely come back whenever I want a healthier meal. Also the owner is very nice read more

First. Moms garlic aioli recipe is the aioli by wich all others should be measured. Everything we had was wonderful anyway, and no matter what we put the aioli on, it was even better. The fish and chips are amazing, crispy and flavorful, and I would tell you to always go for that days catch if you want more flavor, tenderness and juicyness (Is that a word?). The fries (chips) are absolutley crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and perfect. Of course, dipped in the aioli they became amazingly perfect. I also had grilled fish tacos. The fish was so good and the tacos were wonderful. Also tried some wings. They were the low point of the meal because they were only fabulous, while everything else was amazing. No matter what you get you will love it and if you are lucky enough to live close by, which we are not, you will be a regular. I know next time we are in the area we are going back. The pictures on the wall make it inviting and the service is very friendly and quick. If you are luck enough to have time to speak with the owners your day will be even better. read more

Ordered the fish and chips and an order of wings. The fish was light and flakey, but more impressive was the size of the fish. It was a full fillet! Not a half of a piece of fish or a large fish stick, it was a full fillet of fish. The 2 pieces in this order were equal to one whole fish. Very much like what you would get with an order of fish and chips in London. And the good vibes don't stop there. The chips are delicious on their own. Lightly battered and deep fried to perfection. Dipped in the tartar sauce, it's an excellent combination of savory and deliciousnesses. The wings were big and meaty and cooked to perfection. The cousins that own and run Fins N Wings take pride in their business and their food and it shows. I glad I placed my first order and I can't wait to place my next order. I highly recommend the fish and chips and wings and I'm eager to try the other items on the menu. read more

Second time here because the first time I came I had such a great experience. One of the owners (2 brothers) was working that night and he went above and beyond to make our dinner a memorable experience. He shared his story of how he and his brother came to open this establishment from growing up with a fisherman as a father. He not only took our orders but he bussed the tables and went by each table to make sure everyone was happy with their meal. The fish is locally caught. The food was so good. We had the wings (honey mustard sauce was AMAZING) and the regular fish and chips. We are back tonight to try and local fish and chips, which is a little more $$ but he said it was worth it . I can definitely say that the local fish and chips was worth the extra $$. I am so happy to have found a family owned and operated place because we will keep coming back. I am definitely spreading the word about this place. read more

came to this fairly new place with the mrs. tried the local fresh fish which was kind of expensive for a take out joint at about $20 a plate. the fish was ok but like another reviewer said, I felt a little nauseous afterward. i did some research and the local waters are polluted due to runoff from lots on inland cities. aside that what got me was there was only one person at the counter. the cook rang the bell so he could know our order was ready but he continued to take the order of a large party so my order sat 8-10 minutes. when we got our order the fish was mildly warm not hot. one of my pet peeves is not getting hot food. one of the cooks could have brought it out or the guy at the counter could have said hold on while I get their order. I don't think I will be back read more

Wow, I can't even put in words how good this meal was. My boyfriend and I were just in the parking lot and happened to stumble by and I'm so glad we did. The service and atmosphere were absolutely incredible too, and they took the time to walk us through the menu and give us recommendations since it was our first time haha. My partner and I ordered 12 wings, 6 with the high tide flavor (similar to Asian sesame) and 6 crazy sauce flavor (buffalo and bbq mixed together) and I can't even tell you which one was better. The flavors were insane and the texture was PERFECT! Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Best wings I've ever had! We also got the fish tacos per the manager's recommendation, and I'm so glad we ordered what we thought was way too much food because we finished every bite hahah. I have never in my life had fried fish that fresh and perfectly cooked! 20/10, we will definitely be coming back! read more

Parking is challenging, they do have a small lot behind the restaurant but even with a compact car the spaces were tight. There is some street parking if you luck out and find a space. There are also municipal lots around downtown orange and the traffic circle which offer additional spaces. We will definitely return. Loved the kitschy decor and old gas station feel.

I had an amazing experience at Fins and Wings! I ordered the fish and chips which were fresh not frozen (halibut), and it was absolutely delicious. The halibut was perfectly cooked very moist and flavorful, with that golden, crispy coating that crunches and melts in your mouth. The fries were just as good, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, exactly how they should be. What really made the visit special was the owner. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming which made the whole atmosphere feel warm and inviting. The owners are super friendly and passionate about fishing, and they use fresh, locally caught fish. We tried the local fish and chips, and the fish is perfectly crispy on the outside and moist/tender on the inside. The fries are super crispy, and they have an assortment of sauces. Our favorite was the garlic aioli! It added so much flavor to both the fish and the fries. They've only been open for 4 days, but they're already making a great impression.
