Ranch was spilled all over the bag. Gave 2 stars because I did eat the wings after blotting off the grease. Been coming here quite often pre/post covid. My experiences with this place is inconsistent. Let's talk wings first though. - Great variety of flavors. - None of the classics are very hot, even the hottest isn't that hot. The dry rubs are the best, sweeter sauces are ok too. - I don't know if its the oil they use but it has almost an "fish fry" smell and taste on most wings. (Lately I haven't noticed it, maybe they changed something or I got use to it?). - The wings are good size, inconsistently juicy or dry but they most times are perfect. Always perfectly coated in whatever flavor you order never smothered. As for sides I haven't had anything I didn't love. The chili cheese fries are so good! Even the plain fries are good. I tried the chicken sandwiches and they are decent. DONT get the hottest Louisiana flavor! It's crazy hot! I took 3 bites and couldn't finish. I had tears and sweat and a stomachache. Service is ok, they are not rude but they are simply doing their job. No smiles or enthusiasm. This same energy is probably responsible for constantly getting orders wrong. A short walking distance across the CSUSB campus is a new hot wing spot. Right, when I walked in I was impressed with the new layout and design. I was greeted once I opened the door, which was great, not too many businesses keep up that type of hospitality. I ordered a Extra Hot Nashville Chicken sandwich and a Sierra Nevada Hazy IPA. The beer was served up quickly, and I don't know if it's their new taps or what, but it was the best tasting one I've ever had, glass chilled to perfection and taste was spot on. It took about 10 minutes for my order to come out, as I watched the big screen TVs they have at the bar. I used to live in Nashville TN, so I was excited to see if it was infact Nashville worthy. WOW! The sandwich was HUGE, chicken tasted like quality and was seriously so tasty! The heat level was spot on, if you like heat get the extra hot! The sandwich had coleslaw, pickles and an added spicy sauce. They also ask what sauce you want on the side, I got the ranch but this baby didn't even need it. Tired them twice, but can't help comparing them to Epic Wings/Wings n Things, which is not local. I am not impressed with Fire Wings. I stick to original buffalo sauce, theirs was that. Nothing to write home about. But definitely NOT enough sauce! When I asked for extra on my wings, there was an extra charge. also ordered zucchini sticks, they were ok. But the dipping sauce was super runny. And they give you a tiny container for a very generous size order. Not going to try them again . I am very happy this restaurant opened in the north end of San Bernardino. So far on two visits I have tried the Louisiana dry rub, lemon pepper, curry, and Jamaican jerk. My favorite so far is the Malaysian Curry, I would definitely recommend it. The seasoned fries are also delicious and perfectly cooked. Not gonna front the wings are indeed fire, but the last couple times I've came have been off putting. The customer service is just plain trash. I work in the food industry as well and I understand how difficult it can be, but it's no excuse to straight up be rude to customers unprovoked. I went to lunch here with a few colleagues. We were equally unimpressed. We went and they had no tenders. The cashier that took our order talked to us as if she were doing us a favor by taking our orders and was very curt and unhelpful, especially with their limited menu. I was looking for a replacement for my constant cravings for wings after Buffalo Wild Wing's service and food quality went down the shitter. Fire wings is hands down the best wing restaurant. The variety of sauces and menu items is amazing. It's a little more pricey compared to bww and wing stop but the price reflects in the quality of food. As far as food, I actually like it. If you order 2 flavors, it's automatically going to be split in half, there isn't customization of quantity like Wingstop. I get the mango habanero, which they unload a lot of sauce on. When I get Buffalo, there isn't really any sauce, but still flavorful. I like the chicken sandwich, I think it's one of the best spicy chicken sandwiches I've had. If you get a combo, i feel like they should warn you how long the wait time is. If you purchase just wings, it's a lot faster than getting wings, fries, and drink - for whatever reason. It's usually a 20 minute wait. I still like their garlic fries though so I'll wait. I have yet to use their gender neutral restroom, and don't think I will in consideration that it has stalls for both men and women to just walk through, not a single lockable restroom unit like you'd think. read more
