I decided to go here for my birthday dinner. It's located in Harbor Town in a beautiful space. Walking up especially at night, you will enjoy the scenery. You can see the Memphis bridge and may even be lucky enough to see a light show! So when we went in, we were immediately seated and given water and our menus. We also received complimentary bread that they said is homemade. The taste is slightly bland, but the strawberry butter helps with that. We then moved on to appetizers. Meet have them salad and crab cakes. The wedge salad was good. The crab cakes were too, they were just extremely small for the price for that reason I wouldn't order them again. It's was finally time for our entrees. My husband had the half chicken and I had the shrimp and grits. The chicken was ok and not really flavorful. The sauce didn't add much to it either, but at least we did get a good portion. I will say the shrimp and grits were really good. I enjoyed every single bite. Oh and I ordered a drink. It was a bit watered down. Overall experience was good! Service was on point and the atmosphere is great as well.

Today was my first ever visit to Paulette's to meet a longtime friend who was in town for Breakfast. She was staying at the River Inn at Harbor Town and the breakfast is free for hotel guests which was a surprise to me, but a perk to stay there lol We sat on the patio with beautiful fall views, sunny weather. Our server was Evan, he was patient and accommodating. Our food came out fast, fresh, and hot. I had the All American Breakfast with crispy bacon, stone ground grits and a croissant, we ordered fruit for the table. My friend said I must come back for dinner that the food is top notch. Evan said he would take care of me on my next visit, I'm looking forward to it!

Came here New Years Eve for dinner. Didn't realize there was a specific holiday menu we had to select from. It's wasn't a big deal to us, but if you're specific about your food or vegetarian, I wouldn't go on a holiday. The food was good! We enjoyed all of it. The service was ok. It took a long time between courses but maybe it was just the holiday, not sure. But overall, the food was yummy so we'd come back.

I'm all in on this one. We had a private room for a party of 10. It was quiet, cozy, warm and comfortable. Paulette's was wearing her classic, delicate Christmas decor. Our server was incredible. His service was precise without being intrusive. Every plate was dressed with down home southern style. Flavor and quality was on point for each dish. The night could not have ended better enjoying their Kahlua-Mocha Parfait Pie! Winner.

Everything was above and beyond! We went in for the retro menu and were not disappointed. We had everything off the special menu and both of us wished we had time to come back this week. Casey was fantastic with helping us pick our bottle of wine which paired well with both our meals and made sure we were taken care of. Tres magnifique

The service was great but the food didn't send me over the moon. The restaurant is in a nice neighborhood and the aesthetics are prestine but I would have liked more variety in the food choices.

Paulette's is a restaurant on the ground floor of a small boutique hotel. Window seating overs a sliver of a view of the river beyond the street and parking area. The decor is generic lacking a Southern charm, but bless their hearts, they tried. What they do well here are mixed drinks. Their top shelf margaritas alone deserve a 4.5-5 star rating. The Kahlua coffee with whipped cream was a nice finish. The wine list is weak - skip it. The deviled eggs were not overly Smokey, the best part was the slice of pepper on top. The cheese plate was mediocre. They needed a good blue and the Brie was not ripe. Skip the crab cakes - nothing to see here. Paulette's Filet had potential, but fell flat with the sauce. It lacked depth of flavor. The pepper-encrusted filet itself was tender and good. Don't get this if you do not care for red bell peppers as the flavor of the bell pepper overwhelms the flavor of the meat and without a heavy cream sauce to balance it, it makes for a steak that tastes like bell pepper. The Chocolate Decadence was wonderful. Ask for a scoop of the coffee ice cream with it. Their "k-Pie" is basically a tall thick wedge of coffee ice cream with a coconut crust and a shot of Kahlua.

We stayed at the Inn and then had a wonderful complimentary breakfast. The vegetable omelette was superb. Grits kept with the southern style!! Service was efficient , kind.... Just what you want when you're traveling. Ambiance........ Looking out to the river, need I say more.

    Popover with strawberry butter

We didn't realize that Paulette's was part of Downtown Dining Week, so it was a pleasant surprise to have some extra options on the menu. They offered us popovers with strawberry butter. A very enticing introduction, but I discovered that I do not, in fact, like popovers. Nothing against the restaurant. I have a thing with texture and didn't like the egg lining of the bread. Hubby started his meal with the Low County Crab Cake; not tasting his meal was not an option and it was delicious! I started with the Garden Salad with tarragon vinaigrette. Our main meals were the Maple Glazed Salmon with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans for myself and Gulf Redfish with Crabmeat, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus for him. Even though our appetites were satiated with the appetizer and main course, we were treated to dessert as part of my DDW selection. The chocolate cake was brought out for me but our server made sure to celebrate hubby's birthday by bringing it out with a candle for him to make a wish! It was incredibly delicious and we were thoroughly pleased with our first, but not last, experience there. COVID Measures: Our server, Alan, was completely professional, kind, and attentive. Every staff member wore masks and the servers wore gloves. All patrons must wear masks upon entry and they wore them to go back and forth to the restroom.

Our server Catelyn was fantastic-positive, friendly, eager to accommodate special requests and helpful in pairing wines. We loved the creative approach of ordering flights of both wine and food! Alright, lets get into this…read more.. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised...Flight is in a tough location because parking isnt exactly ideal but as soon as you walk up, a hostess opens the door and welcomes you in. I didnt get photos of the restaurant but they have a really cool split floor design, we got to sit upstairs. I recommend you sit upstairs it possible because the first floor gets louder faster if that makes sense. Plenty of very attentive and friendly staff so you will need for nothing while you are there. Now for the food...we started off with the SNAKE RIVER FARMS WAGYU CARPACCIO. It was . My only critique if I had one; I wish it had a little more carpaccio. Now before I get into entree's let me explain how "Flight" works...You can order a single large entree for dinner, orrrrrrr, if you're like me and LOVE food, you can order a flight of three smaller portions of the entree's! Bring your appetite (and your platinum card). I ordered a three entree flight of Bison Ribeye, roasted duck breast and the chilean sea bass. I would rank them in that order although they were all delicious. That bison tho.... The wife ordered a three entree flight of the prime ribeye, sea scallops, and the twin lobster tails. She wasnt a huge fan of the prime ribeye, she said it was a little tough. She loved the scallops and lobster (although she will never forgive herself for dropping a huge piece of lobster on the floor). Oh and her scallops came with this gnocchi that was TO DIE FOR!!!! We finished the night off with a three dessert flight of pistachio mousse, lava cake and apple walnut cobbler. The pistachio mousse was light and refreshing on a hot summer day. She loved her apple cobbler. We werent huge fans of the lava cake. It just didnt have that nostalgic lava cake taste and texture. That and the peppermint gelato it came with was very strong on the peppermint. Im sure some would love it but it just wasnt for us. Last piece Ill mention is just the effort and attention to detail. It was our anniversary and they brought us complimentary glasses of champagne (thank you). They are very deliberate in how they move, their table settings and our server knew her restaurant like a pro. Even down to the way they stage your silverware knowing how their flight plates take up table space. Bravo, Great experience! Definitely a little too pricey to be a frequent spot, but great for special occasions!

She carried this review up to the 3 I'm giving Non-Vintage. First of all, there was a severe deficiency of seating and staff for this event. No one greeted us when we entered, we moved chairs ourselves to make an accommodating space out of the way of the performers, and at no point did a member of staff take our order outside of waiting at the bar. The line for the bar was right in the way of the performers, and many people were forced to wait 10+ minutes for a drink order because there was only one bartender working. Another staff member had offered to help, and the bartender DECLINED, forcing us to continue to wait. I did try the wings and the charcuterie, they were good. I tried the nonalcoholic hibiscus drink and the nonalcoholic summer cooler drink. The summer cooler was much better in my opinion, but both were good nonalcoholic options. I think I would like to try this place when they are not hosting an event, I'm sure it's lovely when they are staffed appropriately for the shift. However, I was sorely disappointed tonight being forced to wait nearly an hour at the bar, missing parts of the show and on my feet for just a drink.

They're going for a fun, community vibe... it was just missing people I guess. The pillows were garbage and that's so common at hotels these days. I stay in a lot of hotels and waking up with a sore neck isn't the best. It either means crappy pillows or a fun night! In this case, it was the pillows. There are a number of places nearby and I had some killer chicken wings at the Coop something or other and great coffee as well. The area in which this hotel located isn't the best, but there was a police presence as I walked around myself on a Sunday night. The staff was friendly, I felt safe inside, and it was easy for rideshare to pickup and drop-off. Just due to the workspace issues alone, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!
