Baked chicken breast, broccoli with cheese and french fries ( nephew meal)..

From the time my party of 8 entered this restaurant the service received and the entire staff was outstanding. This was my first time visiting and I have to admit I was truly impressed. When I first pulled up I thought what a small little house . Well looks can be very deceiving ( the inside was very impressive with an awesome atmosphere). Now let's talk about the tender steaks , baked potatoes , broccoli , salads , chicken fingers and the delicious sweet rolls. Everything was served fresh, hot and seasoned to perfection. The prices were reasonable also...

First time here and I am sad I didn't know about this place before. Stopped by to have dinner with friends and everyone was super friendly from the beginning. I got the steak salad and it was delicious. The croutons are addicting and the ribeye is also really good. For the price and the cuts of meat and service this place is a must. It is super clean and a bright place. Will come back for sure.

Small local restaurant in the heart of old Bartlett. We stopped in at 5:00 on a Saturday night without a reservation and the place was hopping. We had about a 30 minute wait due to all the early diners with reservations. We started with their complimentary croutons which were buttery goodness served with extra butter on the side. We had their fried pickles with ranch for an appetizer and they were pretty tasty with an amazing homemade ranch for dipping. I ordered the combination filet and blackened shrimp. Both the shrimp and the steak were excellent! I loved the marinade on the steak and the shrimp had a nice kick in the buttery sauce they were served with. Hubby had the ribeye and was a little disappointed that it was on the lean side and wished it had a bit more marble to it. The meal was served with a side of their rolls, but we probably would have preferred more croutons because they are just that good. If you decide to give them a try, it might be best to make a reservation because they seemed to be pretty busy.

Me and my husband had dinner there tonight and were so impressed with the service. Lily was our waitress and was so friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a cozy, clean, modern feel. For an appetizer we had the sausage and cheese plate. My husband had Big Dave's Chicken and I had the Grilled Pork Chops. First, the portions are big enough to share or have some for lunch the next day. Everything was cooked to perfection. We will definitely go back sooner than later.

Absolutely was not expecting the grilled chicken to taste that great! Steak was very tender. Ask for them to put the marinade sauce on the side unless you really like Worcestershire sauce thick on it. Someone told me to get it on the side and I'm glad I did. To me the steak or chicken did not need anything else. The bacon around the steak was flavorful as well. I got dessert to take home since. Baked potato and just a plain salad were my two sides. The huge croutons were amazing. Get the homemade ranch for your salad and just dip some bread in it. So good. It was very loud where we were seated but it was fine.

Celebrated my birthday here Tuesday evening. Great fun with friends. They are remodeling so there is a lot of construction. There is parking but you have to maneuver around the wood and other building items. Started off an order of onion rings. Very fresh and crispy. We did share at the table. The basket of croutons with butter served before dinner was to DIE for. So good! I could have eaten those only and been happy. We had different beverages. I had the unsweetened tea. It was okay. My friends had diet beverages. I ordered the steak salad with Italian dressing. The steak was prepared rare and had some fat on it. It was a 6 oz ribeye. The salad was an iceberg mix with carrots and purple cabbage. I prefer a romaine or spring mix. It was alright. I took most of it since I got full on the appetizers. The service was excellent. Our server was kind and courteous and very helpful. She was attentive and fast with our orders. She checked on us from time to time. I may cone back to try other dishes or just order the croutons. Yum!

Always a good time and good food at Side Porch. Employees are nice, I'm always seated quickly and I always make a reservation. The place is small but they handle the crowd well. Ample parking, no take out orders, yeast rolls, Frost desserts, what's not to love about this Bartlett gem? I'm a repeat customer. One star removed because this visit the steak lacked flavored and was cooked medium well vs medium.

If you are in the Bartlett area and you want a great steak, great prices and excellent service with a home town feel, look no further. Go ahead and pass up the chains and franchises and support local. I even checked it out multiple times, to be sure and all was consistent ! Steaks cooked as ordered on each occasion. Heather L was our server and she was wonderful, attentive and super knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The dining experience here feels very homey and clean, everyone is kind and happy to serve you. The pickles and onion rings were great starter choices, but if you want something a bit lighter.. get the cowboy caviar, it's excellent. The serving sizes here are big and so I don't think you'll leave hungry.

Man looks can be deceiving. Service was awesome the ambience was so cute and welcoming oh but the food. This place came highly rated and we were excited to give it a try. The pricing was very reasonable that's why I'm not too upset that the food didn't meet the hype both of our steaks lacked seasoning of any kind and we both requested medium it taste so dry and crumbled as you continue to chew it. We tried adding steak sauce, salt, pepper and still didn't help the taste of this food. The croutons were the star of this show tonight. We won't be back unfortunately the first impression was a lasting one. They did say their regular cook was off and maybe that's why it turned out bad‍

I completely forgot to take photos of everything else, but the bread croutons were a show-stealer.

I was so happy to hear that Side Porch was open again that I had to make a stop on my most recent trip home. It's been a staple in my family's Bartlett restaurant rotation for as long as I can remember. My first question I asked when I heard Side Porch was reopening -- will they still have their famous bread croutons? And oh yes they do and they are just as good as I remember. After eating way too many of the aforementioned croutons (of which two baskets are complimentary), we moved on to fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks -- yes, this was a very indulgent meal. I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms, but the chipotle ranch dip served with them was quite tasty. The mozzarella sticks were larger than I remember and just as good. I do wish they had been served with marinara sauce, but that didn't slow me down. The side salad that came before my entree was an average salad bolstered by that oh-so-good "restaurant ranch" (nothing from the grocery store can compare). The lettuce mix, tomato and shredded cheese needed no croutons (obviously). For my entree, I settled on the 8 oz filet which was brought to the table undercooked. However, our waitress took it back to the kitchen and brought it back cooked medium well just as I ordered. The steak was flavorful thanks to subtle seasoning and the mouthwatering marinade (I highly recommend asking for extra -- it's that good). For my side, I went with my childhood favorite -- steak fries -- rather than a more adult-appropriate baked potato, but hey, you only live once. To finish our meal, we tried one of the specials, German chocolate pie, made by the mother of one of the owners. I struggle with coconut, but everyone else in the group raved about it. The other pies looked amazing, so I'll have to try those next time I go. The interior decor of the restaurant received a much-needed refresh while it was closed, but it still retains its southern charm. I liked the community-donated salt-and-pepper shakers at each table. Small details like that stick with you long after your meal is done. Side Porch is a Bartlett treasure, and I'm so glad it has reopened. I look forward to many more meals here. I was so excited to be back that I forgot to take photos aside from the croutons. But trust me, everything looked as good as it tasted!

She carried this review up to the 3 I'm giving Non-Vintage. First of all, there was a severe deficiency of seating and staff for this event. No one greeted us when we entered, we moved chairs ourselves to make an accommodating space out of the way of the performers, and at no point did a member of staff take our order outside of waiting at the bar. The line for the bar was right in the way of the performers, and many people were forced to wait 10+ minutes for a drink order because there was only one bartender working. Another staff member had offered to help, and the bartender DECLINED, forcing us to continue to wait. I did try the wings and the charcuterie, they were good. I tried the nonalcoholic hibiscus drink and the nonalcoholic summer cooler drink. The summer cooler was much better in my opinion, but both were good nonalcoholic options. I think I would like to try this place when they are not hosting an event, I'm sure it's lovely when they are staffed appropriately for the shift. However, I was sorely disappointed tonight being forced to wait nearly an hour at the bar, missing parts of the show and on my feet for just a drink.

I had a fantastic espresso martini and the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted! So I was excited to come try something else. On the plus side, the bathroom was so nicely decorated. It was also very clean. I sat at the end of the bar, beside the little section of books. The bartender was nice. I ordered the Ember&Passion cocktail. Although it was pretty good, it was quite mild. Unexpected with the ingredients in it. I was surprised that the level of expected heat was not very detectable. I give it 7/10. When I came here before in the winter, the temperature was perfect and I don't remember being too bothered that they don't have cocktail napkins. But yesterday it was quite warm in the restaurant and not having these napkins wasn't good. Nobody in the restaurant had any type of napkin under any drink! I noticed that just like mine, every glass of water from every patron had a puddle of condensation under the glass. Each time I picked up my glass of water, it would drip onto my food and clothes. My two menus got so wet. I suppose they made this decision to save themselves a lot of money. As for the food: My parmesan truffle fries were excellent!! Hot, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Best I've had in a long time. The Alabama white sauce on the side was just your typical sauce. It tasted just like every other Alabama white sauce that I've had so was not disappointing. But I actually ended up not using it because it was too thin and it didn't add anything to the fries. The fries were excellent enough on their own. I ordered my burger "pink" but there wasn't any pink to it, but I wasn't that bothered about it. Burger and the toppings were tasty, except for the fried green tomato. Looking closely at the picture, you can see that it was SO SMALL compared to the size of the burger. When a restaurant does that, don't they realize that it makes for a glaring disappointment?! It apparently came from near the end of the tomato, and not the middle. If you are going to offer a fried green tomato on a burger, then I feel as if you should only use the larger slices of the tomato, and save the smaller ends for maybe putting in salads. I've always been obsessed with fried green tomatoes. After having my first two bites of burger and still not reaching the tomato, I took it off to eat by itself. Sadly, it tasted terrible! I was surprised. Obviously, they didn't season the tomato or the batter. (Salt and pepper go a long way.) The burger toppings apparently made the tomato batter not only soggy, but also this strange thick texture. Like mushy and chewy at the same time. 1/10 Worst problem: FLIES!!! So many flies! When I just had my drink but no food yet, I noticed them but was not bombarded by them at that point. It wasn't until my food came. All of a sudden I was literally surrounded by them. They were everywhere! No exaggeration. I actually had to use only one hand to eat and the other hand to constantly move back and forth over my food. I eventually gave up and set the plate of some of my fries about 4 inches in front of my burger in order to hopefully draw the flies to the fries so that I could eat my burger. Unfortunately, after only four bites of my burger, when I set it down to take a drink of water, a fly landed on it within one second. Obviously, that was my last bite, and even when I was moving the plate closer to the end of the counter, two more flies landed on it. The glass of straws was inches from me. That, and the book closest to me seemed to be where they gathered to wait for their opportunity to dive bomb me. So many of them! It turned my stomach when I realized that I had been drinking from a straw with my water and I'm sure there had been flies on it before I got there. Every person that gets a straw in their drink at this restaurant has had a fly sitting on top of it. When the bartender told me about the desserts, it turned my stomach to think of just how many flies were in the kitchen. Had I known the fly situation was that bad when I first got my drink, I would have never stayed there, and I certainly would have never ordered food. I do think it is a real shame because the winter months are a totally different experience in that restaurant. But because of how horrible it was this time, I just can't ever come back.

Alright, lets get into this…read more.. Walking in I was pleasantly surprised...Flight is in a tough location because parking isnt exactly ideal but as soon as you walk up, a hostess opens the door and welcomes you in. I didnt get photos of the restaurant but they have a really cool split floor design, we got to sit upstairs. I recommend you sit upstairs it possible because the first floor gets louder faster if that makes sense. Plenty of very attentive and friendly staff so you will need for nothing while you are there. Now for the food...we started off with the SNAKE RIVER FARMS WAGYU CARPACCIO. It was . My only critique if I had one; I wish it had a little more carpaccio. Now before I get into entree's let me explain how "Flight" works...You can order a single large entree for dinner, orrrrrrr, if you're like me and LOVE food, you can order a flight of three smaller portions of the entree's! Bring your appetite (and your platinum card). I ordered a three entree flight of Bison Ribeye, roasted duck breast and the chilean sea bass. I would rank them in that order although they were all delicious. That bison tho.... The wife ordered a three entree flight of the prime ribeye, sea scallops, and the twin lobster tails. She wasnt a huge fan of the prime ribeye, she said it was a little tough. She loved the scallops and lobster (although she will never forgive herself for dropping a huge piece of lobster on the floor). Oh and her scallops came with this gnocchi that was TO DIE FOR!!!! We finished the night off with a three dessert flight of pistachio mousse, lava cake and apple walnut cobbler. The pistachio mousse was light and refreshing on a hot summer day. She loved her apple cobbler. We werent huge fans of the lava cake. It just didnt have that nostalgic lava cake taste and texture. That and the peppermint gelato it came with was very strong on the peppermint. Im sure some would love it but it just wasnt for us. Last piece Ill mention is just the effort and attention to detail. It was our anniversary and they brought us complimentary glasses of champagne (thank you). They are very deliberate in how they move, their table settings and our server knew her restaurant like a pro. Even down to the way they stage your silverware knowing how their flight plates take up table space. Bravo, Great experience! Definitely a little too pricey to be a frequent spot, but great for special occasions!

The reason we chose this restaurant for our dinner was, simply, their grilled scallops. I've enjoyed them before and Tuesday's were even better than my recollection. The accompanying corn risotto, a seasonal special, was delicious. Its unexpectedly crunchy texture was a nice contrast to the tender scallops. We enjoyed a chilled rosé, and ended our meal with one of this restaurant's tiny-and-tasty desserts each: s'more for me, key lime for my husband. Perfect! But, my real motivation for writing this review is to compliment our waitress, Sophie. In my experience it's not easy to strike the right note when serving dinner to strangers. Sophie's work was just right; she listened to our requests, making eye contact with us both, and visiting our table at intervals that were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen prepared appealing plates and Sophie delivered them while they were hot. Best of all, she chatted with us, shared a little if herself and listened when we reciprocated. At the end of our dinner, our car was retrieved promptly by pleasant valets, and we were quickly on our way.
