Today I went on Yelp and placed a take out order. I probably should have gone to the website but I was enjoying the convenience and the order went through Grub hub. I've done this before and never had a problem. On my way I got a notification my order was ready for pickup. Unbeknownst to me a Grub hub driver grabbed my order before I got there. Needless to say there was more than a bit of confusion but what I must say is that the manager was extremely courteous and professional. Her main concern was that I received my food and immediately had my order remade. I just want to say thank you. And, at the very least maybe the driver enjoyed my meal. read more

Had a very bad experience this afternoon with customer service. The way the manager handled the matter is what earned this Firehouse Subs a very poor rating. In my two attempts to give the manager constructive criticism to avoid a similar occurrence she chose to cut me off. The store was not busy and no one was in line behind me. The excuses were lame, but I listened anyway. What I wanted was for the manager to hear out and not be rude. I received poor customer service and on top of that I was treated rudely. This location lacks the vivacious atmosphere of other Firehouse Sub locations. The initial greeting the employees give at this particular location sounded very dry, insincere and monotone. It would have been better to leave out the greeting instead of making customers feel as though they were a bother because the employees have to take their order. This location is the worse Firehouse Subs I have ever experienced. I'm not saying the food has worms but I would rather eat worms than go to this location ever again. Check your food just in case. My remedy was to drive to Potbelly at Firewheel Mall where I received a great sub, excellent customer service with no fake greetings. read more

I'm a fan of Firehouse, have been since I was first introduced to the Turkey Bacon Ranch a year ago. There isn't one fairly close to me, so when I feel like splurging on the drive this is where I end up. Today was a game changer though. My husband and I were splitting the large Turkey Bacon Ranch. The cashier asked if we wanted split baskets as well. Definitely, no one wants to lean across the table to drop ranch and lettuce out the back of this messy sandwich. My daughter got the kids meal Turkey & Cheese. Our sandwiches came out and of course, no split baskets. I didn't have a chance to say anything because as soon as the food was dropped, the employee took off from the table. I ended up going to the car to change a diaper (there was no changing station in either restroom). There was a younger guy in a gray Charger next to me. His window was down, his radio was loud, and the smell of weed was even louder. I assumed he was just high and looking for munchies. Mind you I am parked directly in front of the door and he is next to me. He proceeded to sit there and roll an entire blunt of weed before going inside. To my surprise he wasn't there for food. Oh no. He was picking up the young man who was in so much of a hurry to drop off my food to even ask if that was all or if it looked okay. Any guesses on what they did once they got in the car? You would be wrong if you said anything other than light up that blunt. Fine individuals right there. After looking at the receipt my husband saw that the kids meal should have come with a "Krispy Treat" so he went to the counter and asked about it. He was told "it's super small, it's not even worth eating. You can get some chips instead." Way to back your product. That might have been fine, except my daughter knew that the dessert came with her meal and was expecting it. It took some persuasion on my husband's part to even get the cashier to give it to him. Now I love Firehouse, but I'll definitely drive to the West Plano location from now on. I'd rather give my money to them. read more

I like firehouse. This firehouse, however, is slow. I have been 3 times, each time it has taken 15-20 minutes to get a sandwich. It is aggravating to be one of three people at a sandwich shop and have to wait THAT long for a simple order. read more

I usually don't eat sandwiches, but i really enjoy going to Firehouse. The service is great and the food comes out fast. The meatball sub is the best. They have hundreds of different hot sauces which makes this place awesome. Subway Who!! Go to firehouse for a great sandwich. read more

The subs are great and in general the staff is friendly. My only problem with this store is their online ordering system. Every time I order online and come in to pick it up my order is never ready. When I go to get it the cashier checks their fax and finds my order just sitting there. What's the point of ordering in advance. read more

Very disappointed in my experience today. Ordered a special Italian sub cold, and when I got home, discovered it was hot. Not the first time this has happened; it is the first time I was too dang tired to drive all the way back there. When the sub is made right, it's very good. I am always greeted when I come in the door. As a matter of fact, I come in so often they remember my name. Great subs. You can get them toasted. About 10 different varities. Neat drink machine! Sometimes I come strictly for the cherry limeaid. You can add flavor to many drinks. A combo will cost you around $9. I've never dined inside but people seem ok. read more

Firehouse is definitely one of the best sandwich shops out there. The price is appropriate for the quality of the product and service. It may seem trivial but I really like that their pickles are always in good condition. I hate road kill pickles with all the guts massacred. The bread is good. The meat is great. Served hot and well dressed. Dining area is well kept. This particular location needs to invest in a new closer for the front door. It's obvious that the hydraulics are shot and someone is going to get hurt. Enjoy the food but don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you on the way in. read more

This Firehouse specifically is my favorite location. I went here for the first time maybe 7 years ago and I always return. I currently go once a week and I don't plan on changing it. I've converted so many friends to Firehouse and I won't stop until Firehouse has complete sandwich domination. read more

Best sandwiches this part of town. Period. Let's put it this way.....I live on the far east side of Rowlett. I have to drive past 2 Subways, McAllister's deli, Arby's, and Jason's Deli to get here.....but it's worth it. I've been known to make some really good sandwiches myself at home over the years, but since finding Firehouse I haven't had a reason to. Much easier just to go here. Another reason to go to Firehouse.....their sandwiches are almost as good the next day after a microwave reheat. You can't say that about too many places now can you? I ordered a beacon turkey sandwich and I was given something completely different. But i did not figure this out until I got to my destination. I called and talked to the manager. He said that my sandwich was there. I told him I was 15 min away and I would appreciate a fresh sandwich made for me when I got back there. He agreed. We've been fans of the Geo Bush Firehouse almost since its opening day. Without a Hook and Ladder, cherry limeade and brownie, I feel like a major part of my life is missing. The atmosphere is always wholesome and friendly starting with the "Welcome to Firehouse!" greeting which happens as soon as the door opens. We come to this firehouse every week. We love their food! Their ham is the best ham I've ever had. The staff is friendly, restaurant it clean, and food is fast and delicious. If you've never been to firehouse their Hook and Ladder is our favorite sandwich. read more

This really sucks to have to give them a terrible rating, however, the experience has continued to be awkward at best. Today was the last straw and why I am writing this. The food is always my GO TO!! The management team needs some sensitivity training. Handling escalations is not something they can handle. PLUS, giving to their charity is being SHOVED down your throat. I want to give out of the goodness of my HEART. Today, the manager held my food hostage until I was educated on donating .86 cents. I was shocked. By The Way, this is the 2nd time, before it was for .02 cents. It has to start at the TOP!. This is mandated by the Corporate team and today was really awkward. I was done paying and waiting for my food which he held in his hand. It was a standoff. SO I told him that he was making me very uncomfortable. It didn't phase him.
