Love the food. Hate this location's wait time. I've been here several times (and will continue to come because the subs are amazing) but I'm always prepared to wait at least 15-20 mins for ONE SANDWICH. This has happened multiple times, even when I order ahead online. Not sure what the issue is, I've been comped by the manager a couple times with a free medium sub coupon (although I never use them because we get large sized subs). This is one of my favorite lunch spots convenient to my work. They have delicious subs and far superior than Subway or any of those. I went today at 3:15pm for the first time and received the worst customer service ever! They had just one girl taking orders and making SEVERAL sandwiches. Then the girl stopped making sandwiches and started talking to 2 other female employees. One of the girls had her phone out and was reading texts messages between herself and a boy, while the other girls listened. I waited a little over 10 minutes for my order and all of the employees were talking throughout this whole time. Not tending to my order. The food is great but the staff still needs a lot of training.. I have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time I have waited at least 20 mins from the time I paid till I got my food. Third time in this location, first visit we ate in, last 2 takeout and the orders were not correct. I am done paying $16.00 for a combo and waiting 15 minutes AFTER paying when I can walk into a Subway, pay $5 less, get a free 6 inch coupon on my next order and walk out within 5 minutes. Also Subway has 5 or 6 breads to choose from not just White or Wheat. If you enjoy paying a premium for a decent sub and waiting forever, this is your place. read more

It was my first time trying this franchise. They serve their sandwiches hot unless you ask for them cold. This was new to me and I'm glad I didn't switch it to cold. Very friendly staff. This location is the worst location I've ever experienced. Always being on the road for work or on vacation with the family. My family and I have eaten at Firehouse in three different states in multiple cities or locations in these states. Never had an issue at any of them except one, the Surprise Az one. This location gets 1 Star(zero if it was possible). This location is the closest to my house, so it's one my family and I frequent a lot. Every time we eat their as a family we have to check the making of 1 of the subs we order. It's so ridiculous, that it's a running joke( Not a funny one) in our family on if the sub will ever get made right, not if it will be made wrong because it , at this location, it has never been made right the first tine, always the second time. Today, the employees made it wrong a total of 3 times. Assumed the 3 time they got it right, right? It's not a hard sub to make. Wheat bread, turkey, deli mustard and cucumber. Easy right? Wrong! Fist time they made it, had cheese. 2nd time, white bread, third time( the one I assumed was right and brought home) NO cucumber, no Mustard!?!? I don't get it? They just have to make it like it say on the receipt? Unfortunately, this is the closest to our house and we love The Franchise, just not happy with this location but we'll still go to it. Making it right the 2nd time every trip for 2 years is just not right, it's frustrating, because, like I said we love their subs, just not the service at this location. Update: Owner called my wife per her request. Owner took care of us. Still can't give a 5 star, but bumped it up to a 4. We'll see if the make it right the next time. read more

Went there for lunch, it was big open dining room, clean and inviting !Was greeted by a welcome! You order at side, did not feel rushed! I had pastrami and hubby had steak sandwich! The bread was nice and fresh and soft, I was not impressed by the amount of Pastrami! I guess at $23.00 for two combos it would be a bigger sandwich! They have 3 sizes and we got medium, chips and a drink! But we did like what we received! I do think other sub shops give you a better value! Guess I will stick with them! read more

From the moment we walked in the door, we were instantly greeted by smiling, happy, nice employees! The service was impressive! Everyone seemed to be genuinely invested in my family's experience. This is by far my favorite Firehouse Subs in the valley. There is one closer to my house but will drive to this location because the food is fresh and the staff is super friendly. It does not hurt I can grab it for dinner on my way home from TX Ranger spring training games. There is a large variety of drinks which I love since I do not drink caffeine. Next spring training game you attend in Surprise stop by this location. It is amazing. Plus try a lemon cookie makes a nice finish to a hook and ladder salad. Yummy. :) read more
