The menu online doesn't at all do this place justice. Glad we tried it anyways. Not enough places to sit but it is a sandwich shop. The sandwiches selection is awesome - lots hot and cold! I would say the drink selection is mediocre. Parking is awful at this location which makes it hard for a run on and out. I had the hot CJ pastrami. It was not hot so it didn't start well. The bread is very thick and dense and the meat tasted like cheap deli meat in a bag. We also got the Big Jake cold and that was very good. Did not like it. We ordered a Reuben with marble bread and the Goomba on Dutch crunch and a side of Mac salad. My Reuben was mehhhhh. Lacked 1000 and sauerkraut. My husbands Goomba was gross to me. Not an Italian - sweet tang to it I didn't like. He liked the amount of meat, but said the quality was not to compare to Jersey Mikes. Macaroni Salad tasted like - Kraft mayo, red onion and noodle. First time. Ordered Mrs Pickles on sourdough. It's just ok not great. They give you a lot of turkey and it is fresh but toppings were sparse (lettuce/tomatoes/pickles/red onions) and they forgot the garlic sauce. The bread was too doughy and thick, too much bread in my opinion. Not sure if there is an option to "hollow out the bread"? I'd like to try the pastrami next but this would not be my "go to place" for sandwiches. I prefer Jimmy Johns. read more

I think they must have just opened as everything is new and shiny and I've not noticed them in this location before. I'm thinking it was probably just too soon to stop in. It is a counter-service only style shop. Service is excruciatingly slow with numerous of us customers crammed into the small space represented by the space inside the door up to the counter. All I ordered was the Reuben to go and it took a verrrry long time. I counted seven (7) employees in this small sandwich shop all behind the counter, four (4) on the sandwich line alone. The Reuben sandwich actually wasn't bad at all, so I think I'll just wait a few more months and give them a try again then. Husband got a me a sammie to go with all dressings on the side. I didn't go in but he said service was ok. But the toppings were SERIOUSLY lacking. I ordered the Mrs.Pickles which was listed as: turkey, bacon, Monterey Jack, avocado, and "the works" which included lettuce, tomato, onions, pepperoncini, mayonnaise, garlic aioli, and mustard. I requested no mayo or garlic aioli and selected sliced sourdough as my bread. The reason I list this sandwich as average is because it was made incorrectly, and the bread was toasted and hard on one side, but not toasted on the other side. It did not include the avocado as listed on the menu, and that's a big reason of why I ordered this sandwich. Is the sandwich good? Yes. Is it great? No. It would have been much better with the avocado and soft bread. This sandwich is supposed to be toasted, but I'd recommend not toasting the sourdough because the result is very hard bread that cuts the inside of your mouth. Service was fast and friendly, so perhaps the errors with the sandwich are the byproduct of growing pains. The store is relatively new. I'll try it again read more

I just saw Mr. Pickles the for the first time the other day and had to try them out. I am half way thru my Goomba and it is really good. I hadn't heard of the Dutch Crunch bread before but it is amazing. The sandwich was good sized for the price and the ingredients were fresh. Customer service and or order of operations need to change. Understandably this is a new place and training needs to change. You can't have someone at the register ring up the order wrong and not fix the sandwich for the customer when they didn't get what they ordered. Telling them there is no refunds when it's the establishments mistake is not acceptable. read more

Walked into shop, verbally ordered three sandwiches at the counter. After a bunch of confusion from the cashier that I just wanted a meat, bread and mayo on the sandwich...When I got home, it was still incorrect. They added lettuce which my 13-year-old does not like on her sandwich. Called and asked for credit for another sandwich and was told they don't do refunds or credits. You made the mistake and you won't rectify it? I did a little math and figured my family's order is approximately $45. We would probably grab sandwiches there twice a week. That's $360 worth of business that they apparently don't care to keep. I was really hoping that there was another choice of places to eat here at the four corners. There's a reason that all the Mr. Pickles in the valley are rated around 3 stars. It's not amazing, the menu sounds great. But the actual meal you get is lack luster. I got one with "the works" and it was so bland. Absolutely no flavor. My husband got a "hot=spicy" wrap and it was sized for a toddler and not spicy. I have tried this place several times and have been disappointed each experience. Twice I have been there during times when it was not busy. Food took 20 to 30 min to be prepared. Each time there were 3 employees. On one occasion 2 were singing and dancing to music instead of working. On that order we waiting at home 20 min after placing an online order and an additional 15 min in the shop as it wasn't ready. For a family of 4 to pay 80 for sandwiches, drinks and a tip for subpar service and food that isn't great no thank you. read more

Not impressed with the new location. We went there yesterday and were disappointed. Crunch bread was at least a day or two old. I asked for avocado on my sandwich and my wife asked for avocado on the side. Neither one of us got avocado. I asked for it and it took them almost 5 minutes to get it. Excited to know of something that originated from SF Bay Area! The pastrami sandwich was great . If you want a simple and not an over bearing sandwich of different flavors, this is the place! Warm, fresh with the works, makes it tasty with a good pile of meat. Love the combination of garlic spread and the Dutch crunch bread which is rare in most sandwich places. Tim the owner was very nice and helpful . This place is close to our house and convenient when shopping in the area. Will surely be back and plan to use them to cater a small gathering.
