    What I paid for
    Anisha H.

I'm honestly sad to be writing this review, especially because I was just here a week ago and raved about how great the food and service were. Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different, and I probably won't be returning. This was my first time sitting at the bar. The previous visit, I sat at a cooking table and ordered the exact same thing--à la carte brisket--and the portion was amazing. So much food that I remember thinking I was glad I didn't do the all-you-can-eat option because it would've been a waste. Today, I figured I'd sit at the bar instead since I wasn't cooking and didn't want to take up a table. Same order... but the portion I received today was shockingly small. It wasn't even close to what I got before. I didn't want to be that difficult customer, but it definitely didn't feel worth what I was paying. I do want to shout out the bartender, Nico--he was great, and this wasn't his fault at all. Since I was still hungry, I sent the brisket back and ordered sushi instead. Unfortunately, the sushi came out with hair in it. At that point, I just asked for my check, paid for my wine, and left because something clearly wasn't right today. It's disappointing because I had such a great experience the first time, but consistency really matters. Management wasn't all that great either might I add. But whatever... I just nicely gathered my belongings and left

We tried this restaurant for the first time. Warmly welcomed! Found the grills in the middle of the tables to be so cool. Super waiter was awesome. We loved what we ordered!

This place is a chain and many ways feels very packaged. I thought the food was pretty good and they changed out our barbecuing a lot because they would not provide any oil. I would say this is Korean barbecue made for non-Korean they had an option of all you can eat with three different levels and they also had à la cart you could order as well. Yes, I think the meat was very tasty, but not yet very traditional.

Decided to stop into Firepan KBBQ for a change of pace We ordered the rib eye thin cut underwhelming. Chicken thighs the soy ones delicious and juicy and octopus we also got the steamed egg which can only be described as a warm hug. The service was excellent everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Our one mistake was trying the squid it is definitely an acquired taste that didn't suite my taste buds at all the ambiance was very welcoming and on par with the overall theme.

Ridiculously small portionnand grill for ayce. The grill is at most good for 2. If you have 2 or more party u will need separate tables due to the grill being smallish. U jave to keep asking for portions. Quality of meat is not the best.

I have eaten here twice now.. I like the layout and lighting of the restaurant. The meat options are good and have consistently been that way. Im not much a sushi eater however I LOVED the crazy California roll so if you want to try sushi out, I'd recommend that one. For the most part the service is good however this recent visit, the burner was too much on a few occasions resulting in us coughing on the smoke from the meat residue on the pan but after bringing that issue up, the server was more careful about it. Overall, we'd come back here for sure.

Fireman was good! The aesthetic was beautiful and of course it's in the perfect shopping center for date night. We finished our movie at Alamo and headed over to put our name on the waitlist. We only waiting about 11 minutes to be seated and immediately greeted by our server with menus. This was our first time here but not to Korean BBQ and chose option A. We thought it was cool that option B had sushi which we have not seen at other Korean BBQs. My favorite will always be the brisket but the spicy bulgogi was amazing too. I ordered a mango margarita, and that unfortunately was not very good. I was a little thrown off that is was served in a martini glass, no ice, and it just wasn't a pleasant drink to sip on. Overall our experience was decent and if you are in the area and in the mood for it; it's a good option.

So I've been a regular ever since they've open. One because of the location, two the ambience, three the service & lastly the value of what you get versus the price. You can't get anything like it for the same price anywhere else. Some people complain about the quality of the meat? But really for the price, the quality is pretty good, I'm not sure what they're expecting. Overall I love the spicy pork belly, any of their steaks, the crazy bulgogi roll, ramen, fried catfish, egg & pretty much all of that is included. I visit like atleast once every 2 weeks.

Didn't have any problems with parking and came during the early afternoon on a Sunday. We didn't need a reservation and was sat immediately. We decided to do option B for the AYCE and some of their rolls. We opted for the crazy bulgogi roll which was pretty good. We tried a variety of the pork belly and bulgogi and briskets of the meat. They definitely give you good sized portions of the meat and we got rice as well. Ended up being pretty filling. All of their options are pretty well flavored. This was kind of the first time I've been to KBBQ where we did 100% of the cooking and cutting up the meat. It wasn't a big deal but if you're used to some assistance with cooking, just know that it wasn't the case this time around. I did order a cocktail, Lychee Lagoon which was ok. It didn't taste too much like Lychee but alright otherwise. Service was okay as well but not terrible.

Our service was great. The server was attentive, checked in on us multiple times so we could continuously order food, and the food was brought quickly. The bulgogi was a 4/5. I prefer the spicy bulgogi which was a 5/5. We also had the firepan steak that was 3/5. It wasn't anything special, just okay. The soy chicken was the same, it wasn't bad just didn't have a wow factor. Lastly the pork belly, it was a 3/5 (if you do not like fat in your meet - don't get this). My fiance' said it wasn't anything special either just okay. The shrimp tempura roll and crazy California rolls were both 4.5/5. I also got the ramen and french fries - both were 5/5. Their French fries are SO GOOD. For the amount of food we ate, it was worth the price. The restaurant itself is pretty nice. It's a bit dark with blue lights through - giving a lounge vibe with 2000-2010s music playing. On the tvs on the wall, there was the Baylor vs Colorado game playing, Korean music videos and also a 2000s mash up. Overall, I would recommend trying this spot for a date night.

Wow!! Great food, great drinks, great service! We all did Option C AYCE @$36.99 each X4. We were there during Happy Hour so some adult beverages were consumed and they had Sapporo on tap soooo. Their mixed concoctions were outstanding as well. The only thing I don't agree with is that everyone dining MUST order the same option I mean cmon what's it going to cost you a shrimp or slice of squid for a $4.00 difference in price? Adriana our server was outstanding friendly and on point. She earned my praise to the manager and a healthy tip. Again well done but lose that stupid rule.

I was recommended to eat at this restaurant by the hotel staff. This spot was amazing! My waiter was cool and made sure I understood the rules of the all you can eat buffet. The appetizers you get before the entree are amazing as well. They have a hearty salad with trimmings on the side. I went into the restaurant alone and was very comfortable. The meat was very fresh and obviously cooked to order and worth every penny!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

Quality-wise, this is Hmart food court energy -- which is a compliment. The jajangmyun and soondubu are both dependable standbys, though you'll pay a couple bucks more here than you would at Hmart for the privilege. Where things get spicy (not the good kind) is when you start comparing prices to actual sit-down Korean restaurants: $19 for kimchi pajeon and $31 for LA galbi is the kind of pricing that makes you double-check you're still in a food court and not an actual BBQ joint with table service and a grill built into your table. That said -- the owners are genuinely friendly, service is fast, and portions come stacked with the right supporting cast: miso soup, pickled veggies, kimchi, all present and accounted for. No corner-cutting on the banchan front. Is it the cheapest Korean food in Northern Virginia? No. Is it convenient if you're already at Global Foods and craving Korean comfort food? Absolutely. There's not much else competing for this niche in the area, so it fills a real gap -- just go in knowing you're paying food-court-plus-tax-and-then-some prices for some items. Pro tip: they're closed Tuesdays, so don't make the pilgrimage only to stare at a locked gate.
