I've been coming to this location for a while now, and every time it's been a pleasant and quick experience. What pushed me over the edge today was the remarkable service I received, and while everybody has always been friendly with me, today was above and beyond. I've been coming here for the past few years and it's been great! I had to get some new tires once and didn't want to wait for hours at costco. It was quick here and the prices are comparable. My dad had a screw in his tire and i took it here to get it fixed. After 15 minutes, they fixed and i was ready to pay. They said no charge. After that, I was hooked. I came in monday oct 26 after 5. You have to realize people usually are setting up to go home they are tired and really just want to get home. As soon as i walked in i was greeting by a tall young hefty latin gentleman. (descriptive because i dont have his name) He was attentive knowledgeable helpful and enthusiastic. Great customer service-They really helped me quickly and efficiently (particularly when the Firestone in Pasadena discouraged me from even bringing my car to them because they said the approval process for my tire warranty would never process my claim in time for me to pick up my car today! WRONG!) I particularly appreciated Ben's help. He took care of my tire and had the claim approved and I was out the door in about an hour! Thank you Ben!! My time on Saturdays is golden, and considering I didn't even have an appointment??Let's just say that I will now always be a customer of this particular Firestone (even though I live in Pasadena-I will avoid their negative, discouraging attitudes and stick with the Alhambra store). Really Wish this store can be more honest. If you have flat tire issue, they always say it's completely damage and they will quote a new one. Me and my two friends have exactly same exprience. If you don't want to repair our tires just told us trues, don't try to sell a new one and keep our flat tires. Love Firestone Auto Care and have been a loyal customer for years. Have received wonderful service at several of their locations. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this location to anyone. While the front desk personnel are very nice and helpful (Thank you Adam), their technicians fall well below expectations. Despite noting upon dropping off my car a few of the areas that needed addressing (including my headlights being out), their technicians marked them as fine as a part of their "diagnostics and checks" on my vehicle and I had to return to the store to demonstrate myself to the employees the lights that needed to be fixed. Additionally their check of the vehicle was lacking sections and had terrible documentation of what they found and checked. Do NOT take your vehicle here to Store #11304 in Alhambra. Their technicians lack the expertise to work on your vehicle. if you are in this area, I recommend taking your vehicle up to the Pasadena Firestone instead which has great service and smart well trained technicians. read more

To be frank, the tire manager is trying to sell you tires you do not need. I took my car in for an alignment and he tried to sell me tires I didn't need. Im no expert in autos, but I know when I need new tires. He told me that the tires are bald and that I needed new ones. Anyone looking at my tires can clearly tell there is still much tread left. That and I bought the tires just 6 months ago. Service is Good, but trying to rip me off is the only reason why it has a low rating. I been to other firestones and this never happened. in conclusion: BEWARE and GET A SECOND OPINION before purchasing tires. read more

I have been having my services done at this Firestone since they moved from the Target area parking lot. On my last visit I was in for an oil change, tire rotation, wheel balancing and wheel alignment. The customer service rep at the desk always offers the courtesy check and I always agree to it. On this day I get a call back saying that I need a right front brake caliper replaced and new brake pads, I tell him no sir my truck stops fine and I don't need anything else done thank you. I ask when my truck would be ready, about an hour and a half, okay I'll go have something to eat and I'll be back. get back to the shop and the truck is still not ready. Four and a half hours later, it ready sir. Well I could really complain about the service but it's always been slow with these guys, they'er pathetically slow.... My problem is that my truck started to spill fluid the next day, soon after this the check engine light comes on... nooooo! I have to wait to take my truck in to get this checked out, now the dealer runs a diagnostics test and it turns out I have to have the throttle body replaced, the oxygen sensor, and the water pump. This all happened the next day from having my truck serviced at Firestone in Alhambra. I have a strange feeling these guys are not playing fair and damaging customers vehicles in order to get them back in so that we could spend more money. One note about the recommendations from the Firestone customer counter rep.. He said I needed a new right front brake caliper and new brake pads, well it turns out that the GM dealer checked them again and said they are all fine and the brake pad should last another 7-6000 mile or so, and no I do not need a new brake caliper. This place is a shady as you can get when it come to mechanics. I'm sorry to say that I will never go back even with the life time free wheel balancing, and tire rotation oh and let's not forget the lifetime wheel alignment. Stay clear of this place if you don't want to be taken for a ride down the wrong way on a one way road.... Shady mo fo's for sure! read more

Maintenance service is ok but I wouldnt recommend these guys for repair. I brought my car in here for a check engine light awhile back. They end up playing guess and check with my wallet. These guys are like beginners for repair. Another story; My parent brought their car in because their brake was acting weird. They wanted to charge us for 2 front caliper, brake pads and 2 rotors. $1500 Then I brought it to a friend. He resurface the 1 damaged rotor, change brake pads and fix the seized caliper. $150. It has been a year now and still no problem. read more

These guys are CRIMINAL!!!! my car worked great for years then I brought it in to get a nail removed from a tire, I figured since I had lifetime alignment I might as well get it done some it had been a while. When I got it back, it was all down hill from there. It veered to the right, then to the left, then my alternator died, so I bought a new one, but my car STILL veered from side to side so they convinced my to buy 2 new tires, and it STILL doesn't drive straight. They don't honor their previous warranty and makes up some sort of explanation about other parts failing and upsell on everything. But there's no real choice when your car is already towed in and in desperate need of repairs. Very double faced: fake smiles all the time but I get the sense they're trying to rip me off at every turn with extra work that don't need to be done. read more

pretty bad had a drink from mcdonald's sitting with a friend sunday they were closed so we had our drink there i just happen to put my drink on hood of grey beat up 2002 toyota camry and my hat just to take my mask off to drink , the service agent at firestone came out ask me and my friend to leave and take my drink and hat off his car but said it with a four letter word a bad four letter word i did not want to escalate it to another level i pick up my drink and hat ( did this service agent ever finish high school ), if this store company uses these kind of language i would never do business with them . hope they read this i will be writing to corporate office about this . read more

This place was terrible, bad customer service, expensive price. To many hidden fees, i suggest you better go to pepboys instead. They get honest people, and provide you better solution. Even everyone say change tire, only pepboys fix tire. I dont mean to promote some company but this is true story i personaly recomend you go to pepboys on rosemead. read more

I needed an oil change and happened to drive by this place, so I gave it a shot. Frank helped me out and he was great and super friendly. While Frank was busy with other customers walking in, the other employees there were quick to jump in and assist me. The waiting area there is cozy with cable and magazines, so I was pretty entertained while I waited. Restrooms are clean, which is a huge thing for me. I take my car to this firestone on 837 E. Main St. for oil changes only. I do not get any other work done at firestone. Every time I take my car for an oil change firestone always calls me with a recommendation for repair. So this Saturday New Years day I once again took my car for an oil change and with in 30 minutes they called me with a recommendation. They recommended a fuel cleaner & air filter. I just had a lot of work done on my car from my personal mechanic & informed firestone I don't want any other work done only my oil change. They called me 2 times asking if I wanted to change the air filter. So when I go to pick up my car I asked the guy who took my payment how do they know I need a fuel cleaner (I know the air filter they can see but the fuel cleaner is inside my fuel tank) and the guy said they recommend it based on my mileage and I asked him if its possible that my personal mechanic cleaned it already & is it possible its clean and he wouldn't even know if I really needed a fuel cleaner and he said "yes". So then when I get home my boyfriend checked my air filter and it was brand new! My mechanic changed it already! So Firestone never even looked at my air filter they were just trying to get me to spend more money. I'm a 30 yr old woman so they were trying to take advantage of me just to see how much money they could get out of me. I would NOT recommend going to this Firestone unless you live with in a block like I do for convenience and only get an oil change. Honesty is not their best policy! read more

I've been coming to this Firestone for 20+ years, as I buy the lifetime alignment for every new car I get. Service here is always good, everyone that works here is pleasant and helpful. I will say that the thing that makes me recommend this Firestone is my wife brought in her car with a nail in the tire for a patch, it was near the sidewall so it couldnt be patched, and we opted to just buy a new tire to replace it. The guy who helped us said there was a small chance the screw didnt actually go thru and the tire was still fine but wouldn't know until they took it off the car, but we assumed it was unlikely and that a new tire was needed. He called an hour later saying that the screw didnt puncture the tire after all and a new tire would not be needed. We def appreciate their honest as it would have been easy to just sell us the new tire since that is what we thought was going to happen. So kudos to this shop and restoring a bit of faith in auto service sales. read more

I have been coming here for a few years. I appreciate Ben's honesty. I recommend getting the lifetime tire alignment despite the cost when you purchase a set of new tires. You will save money in the long run. Just remember to go in and rotate your tires every 3 to 5 months depending on how much you drive. Ask for Ben when you go there. read more

I have put on close to 15K miles now since my last review in 2011. No issues with my tires aligned by someone else. With my last set of tires aligned by FS, they were gone on the inside edge of my tires at 15K. My tires now are wearing even with no issues and should last me another 15K. This is why you should never trust this place for alignment work on your car and anything else with car repair. read more

I highly recommend this place!.......and I am not one to post comments on Yelp. For a large corporation, this place has a comfortable, neighborhood feeling to it. The service I received from Ben and his colleagues was nothing less than stellar. I went there without an appointment to have my tires (and spare) checked in anticipation of a long road trip. Went in for an oil change and alignment. They told me my brake fluid was low and wanted to charge me $90 extra to flush it. Thank goodness I declined. I checked the fluid level when I got home and it was filled to the max. Bunch of lying crooks. read more

Customer service here is okay, not bad, but not the best. They don't give you much information unless you ask multiple questions. Took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment and was not told anything about how much it would cost or how long it would take. The guy just printed out a receipt and said okay I need you to sign here. Also they called me while they were working on my car to tell me it was recommended that they do a cabin air filter change. They quoted me around $50 to do this, which is crazy because I stopped by Autozone on the way home and picked up the filter for $10 bucks and changed it in less than 5 minutes myself. Other than the okay service and trying to squeeze money out of their customers, I have never had any major problems here. More importantly I have never had a single problem with any work they have done here which includes; new set of tires purchased and installed, oil changes, tire rotations, and wheel alignments. Also I feel like its important to note that my rims are Plasti-dipped and through all the tire rotations and even installation of new tires, they were very careful with my rims and there was very little disturbance to the paint which was a huge plus for me. read more

I like this place, they work with you on what the car needs, the prices are reasonable and yes some high but they do seem to know what they are doing and they will listen to you if you can communicate what you want done and need.
