Maveric was the one to do my tires, great customer service and they even had shipped my tires in a single day

This place is nothing but a big scam rip off business. I have never been in a shop with such rude unprofessional people in all my life. They have one plan in mind & that is to rip you off anyway they can. I went in on Wednesday to get a tire fixed that had a screw in it & get a oil change. Had to make a appointment to come back on Thursday at 8:00am. I was there at 7:45. The people were unbelievably rude. My truck sat in the parking lot for a hour & 15 minutes before they took it in. Finally 3.5 hours later it was done & cost $124.47. When I left the check engine light was on, there was no oil change sticker on the windshield so I'm not even certain they changed it. By the time I got home the slow leak I had in my tire was now a fast leak. I put air in it 3 times & got it back to the shop at 8:00am Friday only to be treated like shit again. It was another 1.5 hours before they took my truck in to re fix what they messed up. I also asked them about the sticker & the engine light which they never even responded to me. Finally after 2.5 hours I asked how much longer only to be talked down to & treated like I was a bother. So finally 3 hours later they tell me I owe them another $44.93 because they did not charge me correctly the day before. They refused to give me my keys until I paid them a second time. I asked for receipt & they did not want to give me one. Said they would email it but they said that yesterday as well. Well I got my receipt (see photos) and they are printed so you can't really see all the bogus charges but you can see enough that the $ amounts do not add up to the totals. I will be disputing this with my credit card & making a report with the BBB. Do yourself a favor and avoid these scam artists at all cost. Update I just went outside & my tire is flat again. It has not even been a hour. I have spent 3 days & more than 10 hours with these scam artists to fix a simple screw in a tire & it is still not fixed. read more

We got tires here and decided to do it via their credit card program. Turns out even though we had been sending payment early and we have bank statements proving they received payment 8 days before the due dates, we found out that they had been charging us late fees every single payment cycle. So we called customer service only for some Indian guy to tell us that he couldn't fix the situation because they had already charged us all those late fees and to send payments an extra week early to maybe avoid late charges that way, so he wanted us to pay 15 days early to avoid being charged a late fee. We paid the remaining balance off as soon as we heard that and will never use this company ever again. I'd rather support an actual American shop than one that offshores jobs to cover for their predatory finance scams. read more

Honeslty this place doesn't even deserve a star. On two separate occasions (8 months apart) my vehicle was not only not ready on time, but not fixed at all. It's in the nature of this Firestone's business to lie to get you to hang around long enough to *hopefully* fix your car. A simple oil change took 6.5hrs & when I arrived at the designated time for pick up (manager said "you have my word it'll be ready"), my car was in the same spot. No apologies from the front desk, just looked away - like this was a normal occasion. Do not take your business here under any circumstances. No one likes being a regular at an auto repair shop, but oil changes, tires, and sometimes repairs are necessary- especially if you drive an older car with a lot of miles on it. I recently had an inspection, oil change, alignment, brake, and steering/suspension work done at this Firestone. It was easy to book an appointment online and drop my car off, and Chris and the other workers did a good job of communicating with me over the phone. He called to let me know what needed to be done as well as a price, and he was patient when I called him back (with my husband on speakerphone) to ask some questions. Firestone had to keep my car overnight due to waiting on a brake part from another shop, due to the make/model of the car being less common. Thankfully, the part was in the next morning, and my car was ready a few hours later. When you pick your car up, pay, and sign, you get an email with the invoice, including the work done, prices for everything, and any coupons that are automatically applied. I appreciate that it's emailed rather than printed- it's easier to keep track of car maintenance electronically. The waiting area is no-frills. I suggest dropping your car off for service or having a friend tag along and take you home or out to lunch. If you must stay, the shop has free wifi. I will continue visiting Firestone for car maintenance and (hopefully infrequent) repairs. read more

I took my car in for a tire rotation since going at high speeds it was pretty shaky. They got me in quickly and communicated well. When I went to pick up my car, the man at the register was very nice. I think my bang was worth the buck and they fixed my problem! read more

My boyfriend and I had a flat tire, we went to this store on a Saturday around Noon time, they looked really busy so we went to eat something while they were working on it. We are out of towner's so we really appreciated for all their help, and customer service. Worst shop I've ever been to. Went in for an oil pan replacement, they first forgot to even order it and then when they did order it the part was wrong. They re ordered the wrong part two times and had me wait 8 days to get my car back. To add to that they replaced my spark plugs but didn't even install correctly and cause my cylinders to miss fire and along with that broke all the connector clamps. If my car was new and this happened I would've sued or made them pay me for my time and messing my vehicle up. Don't ever come here read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but I think I have to because the other day me and my grandmother were experiencing a problem with the tire and both Tony (store manager) and Joe(technician) were super accommodating, super helpful and really sweet to my grandmother during our time of disgrace they helped us and got us out in no time flat. Patrick and Oberto are awesome. I've brought my truck here not knowing what needed to be done. They definitely gave me my options in priorities base on what I could afford. I purchased new tires and the sensors stopped working. Patrick did everything he could to fix it and even offered to replace them at no cost to me. Then they did an oil change and fixed a bar to the tire that broke after my tires were changed. They did everything so quickly and making sure that my truck was road worthy. I received the rudest, most uncaring nonchalant service possible. I called ahead and asked to get my tire patched up. The girl on the phone said to bring the truck in, it will be a few hour wait, but they will get it done today. I even said "are you sure it will be done today? She said yes"..I arrive to the location 20 minutes later, I greet her and say we just spoke on the phone. She says "yeah one minute."...a gentleman walks out from the back, she says to the mechanic "do you FEEL LIKE patching a tire today?"..:the gentle says "No. I don't." She looks me dead in the face and says "sorry can't do it." Firestone in Mt. Pleasant has always been reliable and efficient, this location needs some serious work. Go across the street to Woodys. The only person I would recommend this place to is my worst enemy. I dropped my car off for a tire alignment and battery check on Wednesday, early afternoon. I was told it would be ready by that evening or Thursday morning at the latest... This place had my car until Saturday at closing time, and they didn't even do the tire alignment. After picking my car up, I immediately went to a locally owned auto repair shop and was told I need a new battery. Shocker! Also my tires were not aligned, in fact they look worse than when I dropped the car off. My dad and I were calling for updates on the car at least 5-10 times per day (since we hadn't heard from them in 3 days) with absolutely zero response. I am 100% certain that my car was never touched or looked at for all 4 days that it sat there. If you are interested in wasting your time and money then I suggest you take a visit to this firestone! Customer service is great, but the guy I spoke to on the phone seemed to not want to help me out. I was trying to get a tire swapped on a rim takes no more than 30min ( The tire I have personally purchased from them before) and he said it would take hem 2 days asking me to leave it at the shop. So I just offered to buy a new tire and the cheapest one they had was 250$ including mount and balance. Would not consider going there for anything. over priced and don't want any business with tire products is how I felt I was treated. read more

Had an appointment at noon, car wasn't even moved out of the lot into the maintenance area until 12:50. Was told it was going to take 45 min - 1 hour; have been sitting here for an hour & 45 min. Staff is friendly, but doesn't make up for the fact that time objectives are over promised & under delivered. Customers should not have to ask constantly what's the situation with their car, staff communication with customers is poor. Lobby is outdated & dirty, as is bathroom. My husband purchased tires for me and had them sent to this firestone to replace my older tires and alignment. Nothing was wrong with my car until i picked it up. They do not stand behind their mission statement. I spent over 1200.00 fixing my car that was not broken in the first place. Just felt like no one really cared to determine why a warming light was on the truck. I even mentioned it on the phone and when I arrived. So once the oil was changed and the light still on everyone was like a deer in headlights. They also were not helpful, Instead of due diligence to determine the cause, they pawned me off to another store (which was useless also). Not helpful at all. Will not go back. Turns out it was a bad sensor needing replacement. If Firestone advertises they can do work on ford f-150 it's a lie... I have had some really good experiences coming here and I like their process and system for getting everything done and ready. I had a nail in my tire, they took my car back and I waited for 2+ hours for them to plug it (~5 minute job). They told me the service was complete and the tire was plugged, charged me $30 and I left. The next day I noticed a nail in the same tire in the exact same spot (I had photos of it). I waited for 2 hours for them to sit there with my car and do nothing and paid for it. I just disputed the charge on my credit card so I didn't even have to step foot back in that place. I made an online appointment for today 08/11/2023 for 3 PM. When I arrived the attendant was checking someone in. I waited until he was finished and what up to the counter. I told me I was there for a 3 PM appointment. He ask me to wait and he went and spoke with a late that seem to be running the schedule. He stated it was not a problem getting an oil change and I responded I wasn's in for an oil change but a front-end alignment. He returned and said I didn't have an appointment unless I was called to confirm it. I said when making the appointment, no where did it say I would have to have a call from the Firestone to confirm. I opened my mail on my phone and showed him my conformation and he said I know. He told me he would fit me in but it would be later in the afternoon. I asked how many were ahead of me and he said two. I said I had a 3 PM appointment and then you got 2 ahead of me. Said Tony was out but will be back tomorrow. Dropped a tire off and they couldn't repair it in a day. Avoid this place at all cost

Quite possibly the worst auto shop in Charleston. Not sure what happened. I don't even know where to start... took my car in for a routine oil change. Nothing major at all, just an oil change. Car was driving fine before taking it no issues at all. After dropping the car off they call me and tell me the battery is nearly dead, my tag lights are out, and I need 3 new tires. I have not had any issues with the battery at all starting my car and noticed nothing wrong with it. I replaced the battery less than 2 years ago so I knew it couldn't be that bad. I had them change the tag lights since I didn't want to deal with it myself. No big deal, didn't care about it that much. I told them I didn't want anything else just the oil change and that. After picking up my car, I noticed the check engine light on and VSC light on as well. Before dropping it off I did not have either of those. But I figured since they were testing the batter it would go away after a few starts. Monday morning comes around and my car barely starts. I get it running and drive to work. Never before has it even remotely struggled to start. I have to get jumped in my work parking lot after work because it would not even budge. I call them to replace the battery didn't argue anything just wanted a new battery. They call me this morning saying that my parking lights are out and my tag lights are out also....my tag lights that you replaced 2 days ago?!?! Are you kidding me?!? Now I totally believe they probably drained my battery and knew that I would come running to replace it since they "recommended" it. If you care about your car and wallet, I would recommend avoiding at all cost! read more

Needed a tire changed, and a diagnostic run to replace an O2 sensor. Guy at the desk said come back tomorrow before close and we'll take care of it. I leave work early,drive across town, and this mechanic shop only has one diagnostic tool and the guy keeps it with him(this location is either broke or ole boy makes commission). Also, apparently he only works 9-4 even though they are open 8-6. Fine I'll just get the tire changed, they say okay. After standing there for awhile, "actually we don't have that one but we have a more expensive one" after I brought my car in and had everything set up to be done today. Do not bring your car here and waste your time and money. The Oil Express in North Charleston has everything you need from open to close at a better price. read more

If I could give NO STARS I would. This site is HORRIBLE. Appt set for 1pm and we left the vehicle to be checked (complete service) and were told they would contact us shortly. 6pm -no contact so I called only to be told the tech "had to leave early and didn't get to look at the vehicle". We were visiting from out of town and needed to return home so they assured us the vehicle would be looked at first thing in am (7am to be exact). I had to call AGAIN to get an update only to be told they still needed to check some items. As of 11 am on the 2nd day - NO ONE HAD EVEN TOUCHED OUR VEHICLE but the office kept assuring us it was being checked. So they LIED and continued to service other vehicles that came in after us. Even if they had appts - SO DID WE. Tech went out to the vehicle after we showed up back on site the second day to confront them about lack of communication and action. Tech spent 2 minutes and said the starter was the issue. Didn't check wiring, fuses, nothing else. (FYI - car turned over, but wouldn't catch - this is not how a starter or alternator acts). But, we took their word that they knew what they were doing and $495 and 1 day later - vehicle STILL didn't work. Why, because it was the wiring and fuses that NO ONE HAD CHECK! So, we paid for a part and labor that did not fix the truck, a rental car as we had to get back to "real life" and couldn't stay in a hotel, and then had to pay to rent a tow dolly to bring the vehicle back from Charleston. No one in the office seemed to give a crap for the inconvenience, no apologies, no discounts, no explanations. Just - here's the bill and take the vehicle. Not all Firestones are this way - the ones in Columbia have been great. The Sam Rittenburg site seems to have no ethics, sense of urgency, oversight, or policies. So much for the triple guarantee. What kind of crap is going on here? The last time I was on this site just a few days ago, this spot was riddled with horrible reviews that, based on my experience, were well-deserved. Maybe I should be writing a review about Yelp itself? I needed a new battery and a heating issue investigated. They put the battery in without cleaning the inside of the caps of the battery leads, and the corrosion they left behind caused the car to lose power totally at random points. I was near-stranded, but able to limp it to the closest shop where they promptly discovered the error. How lazy... On the heating issue, they said my coolant was low and that they had put coolant in and it was now heating fine. True enough, but what they didn't say is that they put just barely enough coolant in there to make that happen. There was a whole 'nuther gallon required that I put in myself. What the hell kind of shop leaves your cooling system a gallon short, doesn't even tell you, and charges you $60 for the privilege? I don't know what happened to this place. We used to bring my wife's old van here and always had good results. This time was a terrible outcome on really simple procedures, and now the site is scrubbed of numerous terrible reviews. They asked how I made an appointment then they said that the phone call goes to a call center and they wouldn't honor the appointment. Trust me, this wasn't due to being busy. Came in to get my plates switched out. The bolts were rusted really badly, and I didn't have the right tools to get them off. Tony was able to get them switched out after almost an hour of working on it. He said that it was "probably the worst he's ever seen." I was so impressed with how attentive not only Tony was, but everyone that tried to help. I was expecting to pay a lot because of how time consuming it was, but they didn't even charge me. 10/10 customer service and I will be returning! read more

While I typically get friendly service from this location, every single time I get my oil changed they try to gouge me to pay for something else that's "wrong with my car". Last time they told me I needed four new tires and I obliged, as it has been a while. Today I got a call that my battery was in poor condition and when I said no he told me- "your battery could die within a few days and leave you stranded". Got stranded due to alternator issues. Hd my car towed to this place because of ratings. 2 days later, they're charging me for battery replacement as well. I asked to get my battery which I installed in March of this year so basically it's fairly new. The guy in the phone said he'll make sure it'll be on the back of the car. When I arrived to pickup, they couldn't show me the battery. I was looking for the one I talked to on the phone and they said he's out for the day.
