I went in for a check of my brakes. Priscilla told me they would be finished the next day. The next day she told me the part didn't come in. Didn't even call to let me know. Bad experience all around. 4 months later I had to take my car back due to problems with the brakes. I was told once again it would be ready the next day. Nope she never called to give an update I couldn't even get anyone to answer the phone. She tells you it will be done by a certain time it never is. She doesn't care about your time or if you need to find a ride. When my car was finished she had it parked as far away as she could with the seat pulled so far up I had to move it back to get in the car. Guy knew I was dropping off my car then only leaves me 15 minutes to come pick it up total. So I was forced to leave it overnight. I came to this facility today, 12/7/2022 at 3pm to replace a tire that I bought from Tirerack. The person behind the counter, Alex, said flat out in a very rude manner "We can't do this". I explained that I was told by Tirerack that I can have the tire installed in one of their approved facilities. And Firestone is one such facility. Furthermore, I just had two tires installed less than 2 weeks ago, also purchased from Tirerack. Alex had to call somebody who approved the installation. So I left the car and was told that the facility closes at 6PM. I called the place at 5 PM twice. Both times the phone kept ringing with no answer. So when it became 5:40PM and no call from Firestone I decided to go there before they close. To my surprise the car was still where I left it. I have been using this location for years because its for convince. Work is good but customer service is in need of total revamp. They NEVER call you back when they say they will. Over the phone they do not take notes and forget to complete requested jobs. Management is very flakey. This location has a low rating in general from most others and it shows in the quality and integrity of customer service. Currently I have been waiting for a call back for four days. I had to call and had them tell me they would call me right back twice and they never returned my call. They told me my car would be ready no later than Tuesday and it is now Thursday and i had to make a call this morning and they said yet again they would call me back in a few min and that was about 15 min ago. I had schedule an appointment a week in advance at 11:00am, for an oil change at this Downey location. After 3 hours of my car not moving I inquiere in why it was taking so long. Seemed like they just forgot about my car. I waited another 2 more hours. After inquiring a second time I received a condescending and rude answer from the staff about how "an appointment doesn't guaranty anything. Without an appointment ir could take 'MAÑANA', day or two to finishing with my car". At the end I just had an oil change and tire rotation for an expensive price that took 5+ hours. Next time I'll go to a different place. I understand work can get busy and most places are short staff but it seems like this place lacks organization, is OVER PRICED and 100% lacks customer service. A/C performance check (Short story) Felix was charging me for an AC diagnostic that according to Alex (mechanic) was not performed. It was recommended to have the AC system recharge with refrigerant although no pressure test or leak test we're done. Will not be using their services in the future. (Long story) When I questioned what part of the AC diagnostic indicated the need to have the AC system recharge with refrigerant Felix could not justify it and called Alex who admitted to have only done a "visual check" but if I wanted he could run a full check which takes an hour to run. At that point I turned to Felix and asked him to remove the $39.99 charge from my final invoice. read more

I thought that it was necessary for me to write this review about this Firestone location in Downey next to the Stonewood Center. I took my 2021 Toyota Camry to get some tires and the customer service that I received by a young lady by the name of Priscilla was amazing. She greeted me as soon as I walk in the door asked me what I was looking for and was very thorough about explaining my options to me. She showed me different options and was very attentive to my needs. I did mention to her that I was looking to spend a certain amount of money and she found the right tire for my vehicle. She explained everything from beginning to end and I let her know that I will definitely be coming back. Her service was so good. I actually purchased the extended warranty as far as the lifetime warranty on my alignment and my tire rotation. There employees just slacking, socializing, and not paying no mind to the vehicles. Rewind their cameras and see the "work they do". I am highly disappointed with the service that this location provides. You make a appointment in advance, a week ahead of time, and when you arrive, they quote you over (4) hours of waiting time, and that's a if. They overbook appointments which creates a bigger mess. The customer service is lacking in all departments. From the person checking you in to how they speak to you. I would NOT recommend this location. Young adults who feel highly entitled with rude attitudes. After waiting 2 1/2 hours, they still haven't even brought my car in. Keep in mind, the alignment machine is not in usage. Another lady present had been waiting 3 hours for just a oil change with a APPOINTMENT. There is no reason to overbook appointments, and also take walk ins. Makes no sense because everyone becomes upset. Look at other locations, they will tell you that they are busy and can't take anymore. Especially with COVID-19. I made an appointment online at about 2pm the previous day. I arrived 30 minutes early and was first in line. Someone came out and took my truck in for wheel alignment about 17 minutes after my appointment time. They opened at 8 am so I did not expect them to begin work on my truck right when they opened because I realize there is set up to be done and people to check in. If they get paid from 8 to 6, they should not start work before 8am. I've had lifetime wheel alignment for many years and it's the only time I come to Firestone. My only complaint is, the wait time. I believe they are understaffed and we are always in a hurry. None of us want to be here so that makes it even worse. Having to wait sucks, I know. I spoke to Olmos about the wait times, he apologized and confirmed that they were understaffed, especially now during COVID. The customer service is great and I will continue to come here as long as I have my truck because of the lifetime wheel alignment. I suggest you start making an appointment AND arrive early. So I went last week June 25 to Firestone in Cecilia, Downey. I got flushes done with one being the coolant one. Today July 4, 2021 I opened the hood of my car to check my oil because I drove a lot. There was nothing in the coolant plastic container. They charged me for the flush but they didn't have the decency or work ethic to fill it back up... these mechanics they have there are not good mechanics. I've given them so many chances. We called in and stated it broke down and thought it was a transmission issue and if they could look at it today and the guy who answered said yes! Bring it in. I don't even know where to start. I had high hopes for this place. I thought it was a good well known brand, so i purchased a tire on there website and was going to get it installed here. But their professionalism and customer service is bad. The only reason I'm not rating it 1 star is because the young lady in the front, I believe her name is Isabella. (I do apologize if I got your name wrong) She was great! She made it not as bad but other than that it was horrible. The first time I went there was a different woman there with tattoos on her face that was absolutely useless and terrible at doing her job. I didn't get her name but I'm assuming its Priscilla from all the other comments I've read. Luckily I didn't have to deal with that person again. Isabella called me as soon as it was ready and was keeping me up to date on everything. She needs a raise lol the only worker there with good customer service. I took my truck to get a oil change and I Had a check engine light on so I told them run the scanner and took them like two hours and then then told me that it had a misfire and they said it was on cylinder 1,7 and I need to change the coils on it so I told them to go for it then they come tell me they didn't have the part that it will come the next following day so I left there around 5:30 they was about to close so to bring my truck in the morning at 10 they told me it should be around 2 1/2 hours till it ready so three hours passed and still haven't heard anything so is went to find out what goin on and they said that one of my fuel injectors was clogged and I needed to replace so I told them to change it and flush the fuel system and I've wanted and I got my truck around 4 so that 6 hours I waited so I took the truck to get fuel and I had no power and it sounded like it wanted to chocked I took it back right away and they open it up and they see oil leaking out and I was pissed off because I spend 1000 and the 2nd day I came waited all day for my truck to be running worse then I brought it to so I knew they wasn't goin to fix the problem that day so I had to leave it overnight for them to look at it in the morning so I had to get a Uber home now I'm here waiting and the manager said they working on it and in a hour I'll let u know what goin on 3 hours pass and I haven't got a call and I'm here calling and they have me on hold for 20 min now and still no one answer this will be the last time I'll bring my business to them I wish I could give 0stars from how upset I am read more

Ehhhh... I can give it a thumbs down for a place to rely on. You would have to catch them when it's not crazy busy or else your wait time wait will be 3-4 hrs. Other times when I come for an oil change. It wasn't so bad. Waiting time till very long. Thank goodness, there's a mall there for me to walk around while my car get services. Now, they recommend all cars to get synthetic oil. Which If I want it, wouldn't I have the say if I want it. They insist on it. And I wouldn't get my oil change unless it's synthetic. I took my vehicle because my front passenger tire had a nail and needed for it to get repaired. I didn't have an appointment and they were very busy so they told me that I'd take a couple of hours to take care of it. The guy took me to my vehicle to check the mileage and to check which tire had the issue. As I pointed the right front tire I verbally said that the right front tire had a nail and the tire was low. He said they would take care of it. 2 hours later, they tell me my car is ready and I'm glad. The next morning, my right front tire is low again. They did not fix the problem. I don't know what they did for two hours, but it sure was not fixing my tire. I could hear them laughing and yelling at each other, almost as if the employees were having a party at the job site. I'm definitely never going there again, and if you're reading this review, save yourself from having a terrible experience and go anywhere else. read more

I've been coming to this location for years. I came here frequently with my previous car since it was much older and needed more maintenance. I just recently returned now that my newer car needed new tires. Originally my dealership had quoted me $900 for four new tires. I obviously knew I could get a much better deal elsewhere. I didn't want cheap, low quality tires either. I came to Firestone and they took care of my cars needs. They offered me competitive prices without even being aware of how much my dealership had quoted me. I ended up paying $300 less for a full set of tires. They were extremely accurate with the wait time. It was estimated to be 2-3 hours for my car to be ready and I received a phone call right at the 2 1/2 hour mark. They were courteous and friendly. Every experience I've had here has been the same. My father comes here as well and he's a former General Motors mechanic. He's always been satisfied with their service.
