I've been coming to this location for years. I came here frequently with my previous car since it was much older and needed more maintenance. I just recently returned now that my newer car needed new tires. Originally my dealership had quoted me $900 for four new tires. I obviously knew I could get a much better deal elsewhere. I didn't want cheap, low quality tires either. I came to Firestone and they took care of my cars needs. They offered me competitive prices without even being aware of how much my dealership had quoted me. I ended up paying $300 less for a full set of tires. They were extremely accurate with the wait time. It was estimated to be 2-3 hours for my car to be ready and I received a phone call right at the 2 1/2 hour mark. They were courteous and friendly. Every experience I've had here has been the same. My father comes here as well and he's a former General Motors mechanic. He's always been satisfied with their service. I look forward to getting my car serviced here again ! read more

Once we got past the crazy insurance stuff, service was really good and efficient. I just needed my tire fixed, and i had been told by another location that they had the number to enterprise tire and protection. But obviously, that is not the case for all locations. I will be prepared if this happens again. read more

I took my truck to get a oil change and I Had a check engine light on so I told them run the scanner and took them like two hours and then then told me that it had a misfire and they said it was on cylinder 1,7 and I need to change the coils on it so I told them to go for it then they come tell me they didn't have the part that it will come the next following day so I left there around 5:30 they was about to close so to bring my truck in the morning at 10 they told me it should be around 2 1/2 hours till it ready so three hours passed and still haven't heard anything so is went to find out what goin on and they said that one of my fuel injectors was clogged and I needed to replace so I told them to change it and flush the fuel system and I've wanted and I got my truck around 4 so that 6 hours I waited so I took the truck to get fuel and I had no power and it sounded like it wanted to chocked I took it back right away and they open it up and they see oil leaking out and I was pissed off because I spend 1000 and the 2nd day I came waited all day for my truck to be running worse then I brought it to so I knew they wasn't goin to fix the problem that day so I had to leave it overnight for them to look at it in the morning so I had to get a Uber home now I'm here waiting and the manager said they working on it and in a hour I'll let u know what goin on 3 hours pass and I haven't got a call and I'm here calling and they have me on hold for 20 min now and still no one answer this will be the last time I'll bring my business to them I wish I could give 0stars from how upset I am read more

I took my vehicle because my front passenger tire had a nail and needed for it to get repaired. I didn't have an appointment and they were very busy so they told me that I'd take a couple of hours to take care of it. The guy took me to my vehicle to check the mileage and to check which tire had the issue. As I pointed the right front tire I verbally said that the right front tire had a nail and the tire was low. He said they would take care of it. 2 hours later, they tell me my car is ready and I'm glad. The next morning, my right front tire is low again. They did not fix the problem. I don't know what they did for two hours, but it sure was not fixing my tire. I could hear them laughing and yelling at each other, almost as if the employees were having a party at the job site. The only setback being a client of this branch is the wait time. It's just a bit longer than other branches I had serviced my car. But, for me, their customer service is outstanding. That's the main reason I chose this my main store since I moved to Commerce, CA. I felt comfortable dealing with the staff right on my first visit. I called Firestone Complete Auto 9:00 AM to make an appointment to get a tire repaired/ replaced. I told them I would be coming on my break. The gentlemen that answered, said, " no problem, I have you down for the appointment. I arrived to an empty lobby, and they apologized (not sympathetic) and told me I'd have to drop it off and there was 2 cars ahead of me. I can clearly see why the place was empty if customers and tech's. I arrived at America's Tire where they handle you professionally and always take good care of you. Be advised. I don't know about the other reviews on here, but it was my first time here, since the Cerritos location closed and I've got to say my visit was pretty good. I made an appointment for Saturday morning and walked in- empty waiting room and stood around for a couple minutes until I was greeted by Olmes. He was very friendly and we got to talking about Kobe and all the other stuff going on in the news. 1.5 hours later and I'm back on the road. I have Firestone lifetime Wheel alignment on my vehicle. I scheduled an appointment with this location for another alignment. It seems to me that they tried to avoid doing the service because it would not generate any income for them. The first excuse was that their system is down and they wanted me to get my original receipt as proof of the lifetime alignment. Good morning today is January 28th, 2024. Today I had brought my car to get its front tires replaced. I had booked a appointment the pervious week to make sure it's quick and easy. As I get here I noticed I was the first one to walk in and be helped out, Exactly at 8am. They then took my keys and I guessed started working on my car. 3 other people walk in couple mins later. Even a guy 30 mins later had walk in after me with a flat and still got his car before me. At this point I'm confused. It's already 9:20 am and the lady that came in after me even left as with her car. I'm trying to think like ok maybe I'm over reacting. But no I think I actually not, how u telling me a guy with no appointment, and a flat tire got his car first then me. You would think I would have priority right? Well I guess not here. Keep in mind I was only getting the front two tires replaced. It really take an hour and 30 mins for me to get two tires replaced. Just crazy to me. I got There and he still seemed okay. 3 hours later for two new tires and an alignment, nothing was done correctly. My Tires were all off. Back two super low on air and front two were so full I'm surprised they didn't burst. I go back... angry.. and they guys in the shop were laughing like it was funny. I paid money for a BS JOB. So I had a 3pm appt on 9.11.20! Worst experience of my life (should've heeded the reviews For Firestone in Downey off Lakewood at the Stonewood ShoppiyCenter. I arrived at 2:45 to check in with all my info. They pulled my car into the port at 3:45 so I figured my car was being worked on. I was told by Priscilla that I should be done before 5pm. Naturally at 5:10 I checked on my car and saw it on the lift with no one under it. Thinking it was done I question if it was in fact done and I was told there was only ONE mechanic which infuriated me as Priscilla neglected to tell me that and also I was told it would be another hour. Had I known I could've made an informed decision as to whether I wanted to wait for hours to have the job completed! So I asked that my under carriage be put back on and my car and lowered so I could leave. I had already been there for just under 3 hours by the time I was given my keys to leave!! Those are hours of my day that I can never get back. I informed the guy at the counter (with quite unladylike like choice words) that customer courtesy is crucial and that something like that should be told immediately so that a customer can decide to go elsewhere instead of wasting time. -Incompetent mechanics (Was initially thought "Scam Mechanics" but still think they are) -Dirty service (Mechanics leave grease marks in your interior) -Subpar work -Dishonest employees I went to the dealership and was told there was a slight leak coming from the lower control arm bushings and was told to replace them within the late of 2021. They said it's not a major problem right now and it hasn't even been a month since they told me that. So when the dealership quoted me a price I decided to go to Firestone for a lower price for the service. I get the work done and about a few days of driving I hear and feel snapping noises coming from the wheel. Now the entire control arm is damage (it was fine according to the the dealership and when I was driving it). And now they're trying to tell me that it I need to replace (pay for) the whole control arm. BULL$#!t!!! I don't think they properly installed the part on the vehicle and this is the result of that and they don't want to repair their damage. OR They were tinkering with something else to go bad so they could keep me coming in for repairs. DON'T COME TO THIS (DOWNEY) LOCATION! Part 2: So they just called back. My friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. I was impressed with the customer service offered here. I was helped by Priscilla and she made my trip worth it. She made me feel welcomed and she got my car to me within the time she stated. She offered me advice and let me know exactly what I needed during my next visit. She cares about the customers and I am definitely coming back because of her! The only issue I had was with their waiting area. They need to purchase new chairs for their customers. Had an appointment to repair one tire these guys couldn't find the nail and told me there was nothing wrong with the tire took about 4 hours just to check for one tire decided to look at the tire myself and found it right away. I brought my car here just to get a simple oil change but but I got an alignment and tire rotation. When I got the bill they were trying to charge me a $1000 they were including all this extra stuff like infinity alignment which was a 199 which I didn't even ask for. I stepped outside to my car to check to see if my tires were moved and I purposely wiped one rim down and left 3 of them dirty. It was getting a tire rotation that means I would have seen fingerprints all over the rims. Why did I see that all 3 were still clean and the one tired that a wiped down was still in the same spot but the Tech claimed that he had rotated all of them which was BS. I also had a battery guard that was supposed to keep my battery from leaking all they did was spray the battery with some pink spray didn't even wipe off the existing battery that leaked out they just sprayed it and charged me $70 for that. Which makes me question did they even do the oil change. Then I'm told my receipt will be out of my online account and I still haven't seen any copy of the receipt by online account to this day. Priscilla greeted us with excellent customer service skills. She was very informative and answered all questions. Her awesome personality and willingness to help encouraged us to reopen an old account and purchase new tires with lifetime warranty for a second vehicle. During our time there she was also multitasking by greeting incoming customers and answering calls with great etiquette. In my honest opinion, Priscilla deserves a raise with paid vacation and a free turkey for Thanksgiving and a tree for Christmas. My weekly schedule mirrors the store hours so I was unable to make an appointment to have the tires I purchased from Tire Rack and shipped to the store installed during the week. I scheduled my appointment for 8 am on Saturday since I had to be at work at noon; I arrived at 8 and there was a line. We spoke amongst each other and some of us had appointments and others were walk-ins (not that anyone asked or it made a difference in who was serviced in what order) and it took 45 minutes to even speak to someone about getting my car checked in. I spoke to the front desk individual - who was polite and trying her best to keep her cool with the line growing in front of her - and she advised me it would be a two-hour wait. I was only having two tires installed which takes no longer than 15 minutes but I called an Uber and went home to wait for my car. I didn't receive a call until 12:34 to advise my car was ready, I got there at 12:47 and did not get my car back until 1:30. I lost an entire day's pay and didn't even get so much as a "we apologize for the delay.". I will vacuum the Sahara desert with a dust buster before I go back to this place for ANYTHING and I will actively inform people of how piss poor this service is here. read more

Update: in Downey Firestone fuel pump changed and car broke down a week later in Encino. Over 40 miles away in 110 degree weather. No car from Monday to Friday and turns out the issue was the fuel pump. The Encino Firestone informed me that the fuel pump looked like it had been in my car for a long time. I took that to mean that it looked used. Can't really decipher that any other way. Did I pay 400 bucks for a used fuel pump? I don't want to believe that but this is coming from a fellow Firestone location. Btw I had to take an Uber back home and back to get my car which totaled close to 100 bucks. The Downey Firestone did pay for my Uber but it was a hell of an inconvenience. Buses suck. Update: Stellar customer service and amazing honesty. I was told by another shop that fixing my car would be double the cost I paid at Firestone. What an amazing blessing to find Firestone. Amanda is the sweetest brightest most caring representative that I know. Her and Juan are the dynamic duo of Firestone. I'm so pleased that Amanda has helped me in the past and this time as well. She deserves a raise and to be promoted. She is that good! I've done Yelp reviews for a while now and felt compelled to write this review after an exceptional experience at this Firestone. I have been to this location 4 times in the last 6 months due to my Jeep deciding to break down that many times (time to get a new car o guess). On 2 occasions I had a service agent named Juan help me out. He is very profession and seems to really love his job. Yesterday my car needed about 300 bucks worth of service done to it and had gone to pick up my car. Juan was there and was preparing my bill when he mentioned a promotion that was available that would save me 40 bucks. I hadn't known about this deal and Juan is such an honest caring dude that he searched for the deal and saved me 40 bucks. He didn't need to have done that and I wouldn't have known either way but he CARED and it did matter to him. He deserves recognition from management for his honestly and hard work towards his customers. Paid for road hazard warranty, and they refused to patch or plug the tire under warranty. Even though the nail was within the center 1/3 of the tire. They just tried to sell me on purchasing a new tire which would run hundreds of dollars versus a free plug or patch. read more

When I asked for corporate number to place a complaint the man continued to blame the morning staff Karen for placing my paperwork in a black envelope (means to do it last) rather that a red envelope. However I dropped the car off at 12:30pm and they didn't have it completed until 7:30pm. They had estimated 4:30-5pm. When I called at 6pm they told me it would be ready at 6:45pm. This place takes for freakin ever. Came last week to get a new tire and it went completely flat over the weekend. I filled it with air and came back in and I've been waiting over an hour now.. there are no customers here and you can clearly see techs in the garage just chilling. I went to go grab my keys to get something from the van and they saw that i was upset and finally one of the older gentleman that was previously just standing around came out to get my van. I guess if they're not making money they just take their sweet time? Still waiting on my van currently and its been back there another 45 minutes already for a tire check... no wonder this place has horrible reviews. Will update with the outcome and hopefully its not the rim as that should've been something they caught when replacing the tire in the first place. **Update** Just found out that it was a defect on the valve on the new tire they installed last week so they're replacing it.. i waited here for an hour and a half for them figure that out and they're still working on it. I called ahead for help and Priscilla (?) was great over the phone so I came in over concerns about tire pressure. Once there I waited several minutes for help despite it being a slow day. There was a lady ahead of me and Priscilla spent a lot of time just shooting the s*** with her as I waited and waited and waited for help. After considerably more time passed, she asked what my issue was. I reminded her that I called about tire pressure and was directed back outside to move my car to the service area. The tech was efficient and professional. No problems there. He determined that there was an issue with my tire and advised me to go back inside to ask for a replacement tire. I go back inside. Priscilla is still making small talk with the same lady. I waited. And waited. And waited some more. After a while, she acknowledged me. I told her what l the tech said and I told her the tire was under warranty . She then tells me after, waiting 30 minutes to even check in, that they might be able to replace the tire in question in a few hours. Ridiculous. I left. I understand that I was a walk-in with no appointment but there's no justifiable reason why it took so long on a slow Tuesday just to tel me I'd have to wait hours for a tire change. I hadn't even checked in for the 30 minutes I was there. How long would it have taken to replace a tire? At a garage that specializes in tires lol? Won't return. read more

Furthermore, they inspected a screeching noise that was coming from my breaks. The team was able to fix it with no problem. My breaks no longer squeal! After 3 hrs I came to check on the progress and my car was still parked in the same spot I had left it. I understand that the shop is busy. But why am I even making an appt with a 3.
