They gave me a laundry list of over $1500 in suggested services on my practically NEW 2016 vehicle. No other shop has tried to take me a such a ride. Paid for the 7 point vehicle inspection and hours after the leaving the shop my tire pressure light came on! Found out from the dealership all they had to do was press the reset button on the dashboard. This caused me a lot of frustration and anxiety driving around for the past two days. So, I just got my Camaro back from the body shop after the car wash damaged it. It had 26 pounds of air in the back tire. I have been going to the Firestone on Lindley for my tire needs for years. Now I live close to the Encino location and came at 8:15 this morning. They were already very busy. I pulled up and a nice guy told me to wait and someone would help me. Will came over offered to check all tires air pressure. Filled them up, showed me some rubber missing from the low air tire on the outside. He said it shouldn't be causing the problem, but keep an eye on it. He was fast anf friendly. I will continue to come to this location now. Thanks again Will. read more

I scheduled an oil change at my local Pep Boys, and 3 hours later I picked up my car after they still hadn't worked on it. So I took it to this Firestone instead, and what a difference! The guy at the desk, Will, was exceptional in his knowledge and service, and definitely cared about his work. Most places will rush you, but Will took the time to answer my questions clearly and make sure I was getting taken care of. Not to mention, the prices are fair: only $20 for the standard oil change, so it's the same as anywhere else, but the service here puts this location far and above any other. They were quick but also didn't skip any steps, and even found my out-of-whack alignment and showed me my air filter that needed replacing soon. I wouldn't recommend this firestone to anyone. Every service I get for an oil change they automatically do tire rotation and give you a run down of what your car will be needing in the future. They don't do a tire rotation if you don't ask them to and won't tell anything about the car. They don't put a sticker on the car letting the customer know when the next service will be. And they don't reset your car maintenance light unless you ask them to. Also they lied to me about switching to synthetic oil and forced me to switch it. If you don't know much about cars this place is the perfect place to take advantage of you, your car, & your money. Worst place, their customer service is even worse. He will give misinformation and try to sell you things you don't need. I went there to get a tire plugged. They said they couldn't plug it and then tried to sell me 4 tires allegedly because they couldn't sell just one because of the brand. The mechanic that worked on my car stole the handicap placard it in my glove box. He also left a screwdriver on the floor and did not put my glove box back correctly. When I contacted fire stone and made a complaint they made the manager called me on a Sunday morning Christmas Eve and he was very rude and clearly did not want to talk to me and he did nothing to compensate me or remedy the issue. Like why is the regional manager is a joke and took his sweet time getting back to me and never offered me any remedy. I had to take my car to another fire stone to get the glove box fixed. I spent several months back and forth with fire stone corporate where they ignored my issue. And when I asked for remedy their response was to send me a bunch of crappy coupons to an address I no longer live at. You cannot trust this company or the mechanics take your car elsewhere. Short Story (I'll spare you the gory details): My 2009 Chevy HHR was running perfectly fine, but I brought it in to Firestone for routine maintenance to the tune of $1500 (they are also incredibly overpriced!). Two weeks later the check engine light started coming on. One month later (after a series of checks and more money paid to Firestone), the car is having engine failure. We have to go get a new car today. Coincidence? I think not. I cannot even express how frustrated we are! **Avoid, avoid, avoid!** I should mention that we have been bringing our car here for a long time, but they are under new management, and it seems to me that things have gone drastically downhill. I don't normally like to bash establishments in this way. I know that they need to make a living like everybody else, but I felt the need to warn people. This is costing us thousands of dollars. P.S. They said my front caliper was "seized" They also wouldn't warranty those same front brake job the did 1 year ago. I used to go to this Firestone all the time. Living in Tarzana, they were convenient. Mostly they were fair. The last time I went with an axel issue (that is covered under my extended warranty) they said they'd check the coverage. According to them, I wasn't covered. This place just wants your money. Unless your buying something else , you have to wait hours for an darn oil change. They pioritize you based on the bill they charge you, They will also try to sell you things you really dont need, and include packages to "do it right" when you REALLY dont even need anything . They wanted over 1000 bucks for an AC system repair and new caliper , took it to diffrent mechanic charged me 150 bucks for AC and told me caliper is 98% functional. They do their job professionally tho ( why they deserve 3 Stars ) . You could say you gets your moneys worth , but they also will rob you at sametime. Last service I had done was an oil change - that included free alignment and wheel balancing - all for less than $40. Try that at the car dealer and you pay 10 times more. Came in as a walk-in. I needed a flat tire fix. In about 30-40 minutes, paid $20 and was on my way. Im not sure if they offer free tire fixes if you have previously purchased tires from them, but the price was fine. I would have gone to America Tires, which is where I purchased my tires to get a free fix, but its simply outta my way and I didnt have the time. Firestone was nearby my home so I took a chance. Luckily it was a great experience and the service was excellent. The facility is clean and new, which is always a plus. If they offer the free tire fix, with tires purchased here, I may consider switching to Firestone, because of how close it is to my home. read more

They were able to help me over the phone by telling me the difference between some of the tires and what would be best for my vehicle. Also, they were SO POLITE. I made a 10.30 am appointment on October 29th at Encino Firestone shop located on 17912 Ventura Blavd, Encino to perform Wheel Alignment for my car. I arrived to the Firestone store timely, at 10:25 am, 5 minutes before my appointment time. Firestone representative checked my information, and told me that my car will be served only from 12:00 to 13:00 pm. After I asked about the reason for making the appointment I was told that if I am not able to wait, I shall come some other time. I tried explaining to that individual that the reason I made an appointment is exactly the reason I did not want to wait extra 2 hours to which he replied that he is the store manager and he doesn't have time to discuss this with me any further. After I asked for his business card, he refused to render the information. He refused to give me his name and told me that should I file a complaint, he will be the one reviewing it. read more

Because of a tire separation problem, I had to replace my car's right rear tire. I went to your service store in Northridge on February 9, 2022 around 5 pm. They told me they don't specifically have the correct tire but the service store in Encino has it and it is closing there around 7pm therefore they have more time to fix my car. The assistant called there to make sure that they can do it tonight and the answer was affirmative. She had taken my name/surname and phone number. I went the Encino around 6 pm and the technician (or whoever he is) told me they can't do it tonight, they can only do it tomorrow. I repeated 4 times that they sent me here because it would be fixed tonight, otherwise I wouldn't go there. Then, he said to me he didn't get a call at all, he couldn't find my phone number or name in the list (this is true, I saw this). After some chat, he was convinced to see if they can do it until 7 pm. I said I'm not sure if we have the wheel lock keys and he told me the wheel lock keys are around 400 bucks and should get my car towed away to the dealership if I don't have them. I was shocked and asked if they should be somewhere in my car. He didn't help me at all and desperately searching, I found two keys in my trunk. When I showed him the keys, he said there should be third piece(?) and that one is missing. I didn't understand but I really thought there should be a missing piece after I realized this place will do nothing good, I drove back 25 miles to home with the defective tire. When I arrived at home, I tried one of those keys and bingo! Those two were the wheel lock key the technician asked me. Seriously, either the technician cannot understand a wheel lock key when he sees it or he just lies to the customers. Don't be fooled to use their service! Stay away from this place! read more

I just had the worst experience with the general Manager at the Encino location. He clearly doesn't have ANY customer service skills. I spoke to Josh (salesperson who was Awesome and very helpful) about a month ago and got an estimate on tires for my vehicle after he inspected my tires thoroughly and after i mentioned that they were a low profile tire. I called in to order the tires he recommended that would fit my rim and made an appointment to have the tires installed today. I walked in for my appointment and i couldn't believe the way the unprofessional General manager spoke to me and treated me telling me that he couldn't guarantee the tire would fit my car after i asked to see the tires that were ordered before leaving my vehicle all day. I simple asked general questions to make sure that i wasn't wasting anybody's time, nor did i get the answers to the questions being asked. I will never step foot into a Firestone store ever because of this terrible experience with this so called General Manager who's name i didn't care to remember. I called this location in the morning time and asked if they would be able to do a headlight change for my right front headlight. The employee Eric told me they had the bulb in stock and I received a quote for $42 and made an appointment for 5pm that day. I dropped off my car and an hour later received a call from Eric saying that my bulb was now a special order bulb that would cost $175 and that labor would now be $220 for this. I then informed him that I would not like to do it and went to go get my car, however when I arrived I had noticed that neither of my headlights were working now, when I asked him about it he said that the technician didn't touch the car. If that was the case then why would it take over an hour for me to receive any kind of message, how would they know that I needed a special order bulb if they didn't actually look at it. Obviously this was a bold face lie, I asked for a manager but for some reason this location didn't have one on duty. Furthermore, I asked for the corporate number and he refused to give it to me. This place does not train their employees properly and I wouldn't recommend coming here for any reason. They are absolutely incompetent and have no idea what they are talking about. The man who sold me tires was super nice, helpful, and accommodating. He gave me a really good deal for all 4 tires on my car and didn't really push to hard to upsell any extra services or parts. Which is nice, because I can't stand that nonsense. The tech's outside weren't uncomfortable when I wanted to watch them remove and replace my tires etc. Which is also nice because I seem to get that a lot, even when getting my oil changed. It makes me feel like maybe the techs aren't doing very well and slacking off so they don't want me to see what their doing to my car. It took them about 30-45 minutes. But I feel like that's normal? Not all things need to be super speedy.... I like them. I'm excited to go back for my alignment. read more

I came in afterwork to get my tires replaced and the car aligned. Robert was there to assist me and informed me they can get the job done same day. I thought I needed to replace two front tires. I was about to purchase two new tires when Robert informed me I only needed to replace one tire. He didnt have to tell me but I'm happy he did. He saved me money. He could have sold me both tires and I wouldnt have even known but he didnt. Hard to find hardworking honest people these days, but when you do its great. I came in for a tire balancing and alignment because my car was swerving and felt like there was something wrong with the tires so I specifically asked them to look at my tires and make sure nothing was wrong with them. After I watched them through the glass and made sure that they did hoist the car up they took off the tires and told me they would put that brand new tires in the back and the two older ones in the front then they did the alignment job charged me for it and I specifically one more time ask them if it was safe for me to drive even though they told me that the car was shaking. And the steering wheel was not properly aligned. But they said it possibly needed mechanical fixing and that the tires were just fine and that I should be safe driving it. Today I had to take it to a different mechanic just for them to take the tires off and show me that two of them had bull Jean bubbles and wires showing through them and that this was the cause of the shaking and wobbly feeling the mechanic told me that I was lucky one of them did not pop and cause an accident while I drove on the freeway every day for the entire week Fire stone tires and see now put me in harms way for an entire week because of their unprofessionalism and Plane disregard of anyone's life apparently. read more

I never knew I could make a review for this place, but I could've crashed and died because of this places crappy job. I went to get my alternator for my battery replaced in my Toyota, it wasn't charging my battery. the next day I grab my car and they tell me it's fixed, I completely felt off with my car, I didn't have much clue about the problem but something in the back of my head wasn't right about my car, it seemed like my alignments weren't straight anymore. Everytime I let go of my wheel it wasn't going straight At all. That exact same day, 1 hour later I go on the freeway, and nothing but me left front wheel going loose and making me crash into the wall. In that moment if I was speeding any faster I could've died. My full car was totaled. Completely. All because of this locations crappy job for not caring about their customers life. When I had the tow truck come and lift my car he looked at me and said "hey your left alignment went loose and made you crash into the wall, you're lucky you didn't hit anybody there would be more of a problem to handle and you're lucky you're alive, "and the police said the same thing as they tried to come help me push my totaled car to the side with their police car. Long story short this place is careless filled with unprofessional people, they didn't care about how they worked on my car, they didn't care about my life, they absolutely had no feeling to say "we need to make every customers car okay so they don't crash and die" I was very lucky I didn't die but faced injuries. Take this as a warning for your life people. It's not worth your life for unprofessional employees work on ur car. Seriously please do not take ur car here if you don't want to face a crash and injury. It's not worth it. I hope this place gets shut down. And it's definitely not worth your awesome car.
