    I was very pleased with my first visit to Firestone 23JUN2024. My car overheated, and luckily, I was only two minutes away. I called, and Heavenly accommodated me right away. She went above and beyond with her customer service, even sending me updates using her personal number because for some reason my incoming calls diverts to my other number, so she was texting me instead. However, today 12th july at 10am was a different story, I called to address this issue and was assisted by a lady (i dont know her name!) who was not accommodating or helpful. She insisted that the brakes were not included in the service and suggested that I pay an additional $299 or whatever for a package to check them again. According to my report, the brakes were indeed checked and marked as "accepted." My concern is why, after such a recent check, I am now experiencing this issue. This lady's lack of helpfulness and insistence on additional charges was frustrating. She merely suggested I book an appointment for tomorrow and speak with Heavenly, without addressing my immediate concern or offering a reasonable solution. Additionally, I hope that even small details, such as refilling the wiper fluid, would have been attended to if it was noticed to be empty. Considering that I mentioned i'm a singlemom driving with 3 kids with limited knowledge about cars and my willingness to pay for a thorough service, I expected these basics to be covered. Also that lady should not be in your frontdesk or work as a customer service representative ****update 12JULY 4pm So i ended up driving my car to my friend's house who knows about cars. It was discovered that my brake pads were excessively worn down to the metal, a critical safety issue that should have been identified and addressed during firestones' "courtery check" As a customer who prioritizes safety, especially while driving with my 3 children, I am deeply concerned and disappointed by this oversight. I relied on Firestone's reputation for quality service and expertise in automotive care, yet the discrepancies between the service report provided and the actual condition of my vehicle indicate a significant lapse in your service standards. This experience has not only inconvenienced me but also compromised the safety of my family. " So I don't know why that would be marked good on your inspection report that got emailed." I am 101% sure that i asked on the phone if it was thoroughly checked she said yes and i'm good to go based on the report i even asked if they do follow ups so i know when to take my care back to them but they dont.

    Thank you Chuck (Service manager) & Corey (Service tech). After having a terrible experience with the Covington Firestone where they would not honor my lifetime all wheel alignment and wanted to charge me an extra $400 due to a service bulletin that requires them to remove to nuts I refused to pay so they refused to do the work. Kent Firestone did not have a problem doing the alignment per service bulletin and did so in under 45 minutes from start to finish.

I recently started working close by though and have been to the location about 6 times in the past 6 months trying to get my oil changed, and been informed that they are either experiencing issues or are short staffed that day, so even though there's only one car ahead of me, there's a big wait (like 30+ minutes). Whatever, I have gotten my oil changed elsewhere on those occasions. Today though I needed my oil changed before I took a little road trip after work. I went on my lunch break and they said they were working on a fleet for a rental car company so I may want to come back later. I came back after my shift, and was able to get in within 15 minutes. Score! However, Dylan and McKenzie were definitely not on the same page. Dylan was clearly frustrated as McKenzie was rushing him for my milage, and details of my car while he was still greeting me and getting my information, not even to the screen he needed to be on to get my milage yet. She also almost hit in in the face with what I think was my dipstick and he had to cover his face and dodge it. I was 100% on team Dylan at first, but then McKenzie came over to get another piece of information as he was explaining the oil options to me, and he snapped at her and told her to never do that again. He apologized to me - presumably for the disruption - but I really hope he also apologized to her for snapping at her like that, especially in front of a customer. I totally get being frustrated with either a situation or a coworker, but there are better ways to handle that, and being disrespectful to them and borderline yelling is not the way to do it. Overall, seems like they need better processes to get info to each other, and maybe need to understand respectful communication a bit better. I'll probably be back for the convenience aspect, but if I can go somewhere else for my oil changes I probably will.

He also identified a few maintenance issues that were needed and set a reasonable price for doing these tasks. Drew communicates clearly about schedules and pricing. If he is to be late for an appointment he sends a texts as well as an email (through Yelp), to share updates. He takes "before" and "after" photos of his work to document for clients the tasks completed. Finally, I cannot stress enough how CONVENIENT it is to have a mobile mechanic come to your place of residence to get your car worked on! If I could give Andrew a SIX star rating...I would!!!

That immediately raised red flags. I turned to social media to find a reliable local mechanic, and Drew's Toolbox came highly recommended by multiple people, and for good reason! Drew was honest, efficient, and did excellent work at a fraction of the cost the dealership quoted me for just one service. He clearly explained what actually needed to be done (and just as importantly, what didn't), which I truly appreciated after feeling pressured and upsold elsewhere. He comes to you, is extremely communicative and professional, and his service and parts are backed by a warranty. I never felt rushed, talked down to, or pushed into unnecessary repairs. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic who does quality work and won't take advantage of you, I highly recommend Drew's Toolbox.
