Open later than all tire shops around, Firestone on rainbow was able to take my vehicle in after a pretty bad blow out. I came in with literally 15 minutes before closing and yet I was still taken care of to the highest of standards (Chris, the manager). Turns out my blow out led to additional damage to the strut which would prevent from turning it around that day. I was expecting to be out of a vehicle for at least a week. To my surprise, repairing the alloy wheel, ordering and shipping parts, and repair time took less than 48 hour so. The pickup was handled by another sales associate. Everything was also explained by a technician. I honestly don't think I've ever met a better 3 individuals in the automotive industry, let alone all in one situation! To top it all off, the total came out to 300 less than estimated. I would much rather someone overestimate and surprise me in a positive way. Thank you Firestone! read more

My first few visits here were to fix a problem that another shop couldn't fix. Firestone diagnosed the problem, stayed open late to fix it, and called me to let me know that instead of waiting till the next day, I could come by the shop to get my car since a manager would still be there doing paperwork. And this was done free of charge. My next visit here was to find and fix an oil leak. I was told the work would take a whole day, so I dropped off my car at 7:00am. Due to being backed up they didn't start on my car until 3:00pm, but I didn't know that until I called them that afternoon. They insisted that my car would be done that day, but at 8:00pm they called to let me know that it wouldn't be done till 11:00am the following day. I was admittedly very upset, and I let them know as much. After picking up my car the next day the store manager spoke with me and discussed my disappointment. It was an annoyance for sure to not have my car back in time, but based on Firestone fixing my car for free the first time and the store manager taking his time to speak with me the second time, I believe that this shop really does care about their customers and wants to make sure that they keep coming back. I did price shop around different mechanics and Firestone seemed to be average; low on some things and high on other things, but overall close to the prices of other shops. Another great thing is that they are open seven days a week, and on most days till 9:00pm or so. Many shops are closed Sundays and close by 5:00pm other days. I came here to pay a "stupid tax." I messed up my key and screwed up the microchip inside of it--basically my car was reading the key as a key to A versa but not MY versa. I came to firestone with my problem on Sunday, and I am here to pickup my car on a Saturday--and this is during the week of Christmas. Their turnaround was amazingly fast despite the holiday and everyone I spoke to was kind and patient with me. I believe the two who helped me were Matt and Justin, both were very patient with my frantic-ness on the phone. My truck needed an oil change and it had been having a problem with stalling since my last oil change (at a different merchant). I was impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff (especially Justin and Thomas) both in person and on the phone. The shop itself is clean and modern with ample parking and convenient hours of operation. The oil change was standard, but I received an excellent promotional price. My other problem was investigated and solved at a very fair price and I was given a comprehensive quote for other services -- but I wasn't pressured to get any of them. I pulled up the other night when my PSI reading was low and without skipping a beat, Shawn Paul hopped over the chains and started filling my tires. This is only my 2nd time here and he remembered me as if I came by yesterday. I was very impressed. My oil indicator light was on and being that my membership with an auto shop is across town, I figured I would ask. Shawn told me he doesn't do quotes as he is just a mechanic but that he would be happy to send me a quote if I provide him my contact info. He sent me the quote as promised and it was cheaper than the other place I've been going EVEN with the membership I have with the other place. I made an appointment and brought my vehicle in this morning. When I arrived my appointment got lost and wasn't in the system but I was assured that it wouldn't be a problem. They asked me if I wanted to sign up for their preferred membership program and he explained it to me. Sounded like an awesome deal so I signed up and was approved. More than anything else about this experience, I appreciate Thomas's help and honesty. As a single woman in a bind, his experience and his candor were very helpful. My car was towed to this location by Geico after I broke down up the street. It is far from my apartment and inconvenient, but I thank God that this is where I ended up because I felt that they had my best interest at heart. I took off one star simply because of the price, which I imagine is determined by the franchise, but was still hundreds of dollars higher than any other quote I received (I understand that Firestone's quote was for more total services, however they insisted on completing all of the extras, which put me outside of my budget). Zero Stars for Firestone, Had a bad experience today, went in and they Stated it would cost $162 to remove and replace my window regulator , then they called me back and said it would now be $499.00 best price they could do since the plastic was in pieces that holds it to the frame for the window to go up and down, when nothing was wrong with the motor on the regulator....I didn't need a motor, I needed just the regulator...I declined to be charged $499.00 but I still had to pay the $162.00 which was then discounted to $99.00 to do absolutely nothing.....We decided to go elsewhere to have it fixed ...We felt we spent and wasted our time with Firestone ...$99.00 Spent for nothing....! read more

This place is the worst experience I've had with a car care company in 20 years. Went in for a leaking water pump and because of it's age, I authorized them to change the pump. When the technician Scott Newman replaced and re-assembled everything there was still a leak. I watched him for half an hour go back and forth apparently not knowing what to do. I finally asked their Service advisor Jorge what was happening? We both went out to the shop and he showed me that it was still leaking. I had to point out that the By-pass hose to the pump was split and leaking. My pickup truck is 20 years old and it's understandable for a hose to split, but I shouldn't have to point it out to the technician. Any hoses going to the pump should have been inspected before re-assembly. Then they charged me an additional $202.50 to replace the By-pass hose. Here is the kicker--4 days later just for curiosity, I drained the cooling system. I drained 2 gallons of rusty water that should have been pink, yellow or green antifreeze. Here are the charges from Firestone: Coolant Flush W/Sealer and Conditioner 14.99 Armor Global Extended Life Antifreeze GA 12.50 Coolant Flush Labor 67.00 Plus Tax I contacted Firestone Customer Service and as of this posting haven't heard anything from them. read more

As we were heading into Las Vegas from Southern California, the "check engine" light illuminated our dash. This anxiety inducing light gives me images of my car stranded down a desert road only Jimmy Hoffa and I know about. I called every shop in the vicinity and all were closed or closing (6 p.m.). I punched in the last number (and last hope) Google provided and was connected to the Service Manager Barry. He stated that he would be able to take in my vehicle for an oil change as his last customer (I was still 30 mins drive away) and assured me he would stay open late to provide this service. I usually feel uncomfortable going to places that have to do with car repair because being that I'm not an expert, but not completely an idiot either, I usually feel like companies like these are trying to dig deep in my pockets. I must say that is not the experience that I got here. Let me give a little background saying that I came here for a rear tire replacement. I was looking for Bridgestone in particular and FYI, Firestone and Ted Wiens is the only one that carries them in Las Vegas. So that is what I was informed. I'm currently driving on a spare and that is very dangerous considering that you can only drive 50mph on it and most roadways on average is 55+. I for certain have a heavy foot so I needed to replace it pronto. It was a Sunday, too. I went to Sams Club, called Firestone, Big O, TireWorks, and TedWiens. Only firestone and Big O was open. Barry, was the one that had assisted me and he is the CSM. Extremely helpful not only on the phone, but also in person. He made me feel at ease versus pressured about the choices that were available to me. My car is less than a year old so I was leanin on just replacing the one tire vs all four. Barry even suggested that with me having an all wheel drive car, it was recommended that I should actually be changing all. BUT luckily I knew that much about the replacement. Anyhow, after thought I decided to just get one replacement. I called the next day and Barry set it all up for me. I mean he did the invoice and everything. All they had to do was check me in and take my payment. Although my wait was long since I came in last minute, that was the only downfall. Experience leading up to it, was great. read more

I came to this shop for the first time because there was a nail in my tire. At first, he said it could be repaired, which made me wait for an hour and a half. And then an hour and a half later told me I couldn't fix it and I had to get a new tire。Are you kidding me? Or are you trying to trick me into paying more? These guys have done great work for me for quite a few years now. I've been going since they first opened. Even today I took my car in for a flat tire and they fixed it for free plus checked my battery and fluids. Friendly guys that are straight forward with me. My only gripe was on my last car I was sold on a lifetime warranty for tire rotations and alignments. A month or so after that, my car was in a wreck, and that lifetime warranty didn't carry over to my new car. Had I known that, I don't think I would have paid for it. read more

I went back to Firestone yesterday because my tire pressure light came on. When I walked in, they were rather busy and I expected to have to wait a while to have my previously purchased tires looked at. This was not the case and I was told to pull my car around so that the tire pressure could be checked asap. I thanked the mechanic for getting to me so quickly when they were so busy. He explained that "everyone is a customer and needs to be taken care of". It turned out that the tires were fine, and it was the sensor that needs to be repaired. I was reassured that I could drive on the tires until I could bring the car back to have the sensor replaced, which was a good thing since I was on my way to the movies and didn't want to be late. I'm glad I bought my tires here and I'm really glad that I am still a priority customer to them when I need to have my tires checked, balanced, rotated, etc. It's the follow through on the initial purchase that really made the difference to me yesterday. read more

Not quite happy with the service here. I scheduled to service my car as I plan to drive long distance out of state and I couldn't swallow the recommended repairs so I drove next door to big o tires for a second opinion. So thankful I did! Apparently, the possible leak Firestone claimed I had in my power steering chamber was caused by air that was not identified by Firestone. Also, as I claimed to be driving out of state they failed to mention how terrible my rear brake pads were. Big o tires next door Literally showed me that my rear brake pads were completely rusted with proof that it was rubbing metal to metal and needed to be replaced for my long drive. Nothing beats physical proof and professional education. I will not be returning to Firestone. Thank you for the oil change though. read more

So far I'm going to give them 5star here is why. I'm a diesel mechanic with a degree in mechanics and over 12 years experience. I do not change part I diagnose and repair. So its important to me that a technician knows his stuff. So I called big o tires and they gave me the wrong answer. So I called here. The question I asked is very important to a shop that does tires if they do not know this they do not know the science behind what they are doing. So I asked if they take tires off to check inside before balancing they said they will if I request it which is good but not required. Why did I ask this because I just bought this suv and dont know if previous owner ever got a flat and used that slime garbage. 2nd I asked if they remove the weights and start from scratch or check the balance with current weights they said they start from scratch. This is good practice do not rely on someone else's work. 3rd most important question do they know what the yellow or white circles on the tire mean. Yes they do! It is put on by tire manufactures to let them know where the valve stem should be aligned to because the rubber has less weight there from the manufacturing process this will make it so that you require less weights and sometimes no weights at all. If your tire shop is not aligning these circles to the valve stem where you fill your tires with air they are wrong and not experience. Yes you do not have to do this but it is recommended for better balancing. So at least the service manager who answered this question knows his job. So I cancelled my appointment at big o and schedule my appointment here for balancing and alignment. I hope their work is as good as their knowledge. read more

TERRIBLE service. I saw the awful reviews this place had online and I decided to give them a chance anyway, big mistake. I booked an appointment online and then when I showed up I was told that I actually didn't have an appointment. I checked my email and I did indeed receive an email from them the day of my appointment to tell me my appointment was canceled. However, I don't check my emails all day long and after receiving a confirmation email about my appointment when I booked it I didn't see a reason to. Apparently, when you book appointments online you aren't necessarily guaranteed an appointment, this is a terrible business practice. The employee who was helping me was also extremely rude and told me the next available service was a week from today. Like seriously, why does this place even have an option to book online if they don't honor their bookings. I understand that things happen, but if you are going to cancel someone's appointment day of, then you should call them because just sending an email is not adequate. I purchased a set of new firestone champion fuel fighters 3 months ago from another location in Las Vegas. Had a pretty terrible experience so when i got a nail in one of my new tires while going 65 mph on the freeway i was pretty overwhelmed. I called the closet firestone to my job and Shelby was so attentive to my needs and put all my worries to ease. She didn't have the tire in stock but she got one to her store within an hour, and kept me updated the whole time she was getting everything taken care of for my car. Her customer service was beyond impressive and kindness during my bad day really changed the whole situation. What a headache I've had with this place. I got work done and 8 months later I have the same problem again. Since it's still under warranty I had no choice but to take it back there. They couldn't figure out what it was so they did nothing. Few days later my car over heats again. I bring it back and they supposedly fixed it but then my car is still over heating. They have no idea what to do and keep sending me home. I've brought my car in 3 times to fix issue. Finally I had to take it to real professionals at the dealership and problem instantly fixed. went for a diagnosis because the car was making a humming noise on the highway.they told me the mechanic took it for a test drive and heard a noise but is unable to diagnose it. they told me don't know where the noise is coming from. so i drive off the lot then i notice the brake light in the dashboard came on. i open the hood, the brake fluid is completely empty, then my brakes don't work anymore. the car was working fine before the mechanic screwed something in it, the car had to be towed. they can't fix it. they paid for the towing and called me an uber but my car is not drivable and can't be fixed. you would think an inspection would include something cruical as checking the brake fluid. ABSOULTE GARBAGE. I asked him how did that pass through the inspection he said "what do you want me to do? refund you the $10 inspection fees?" crooks.. the inspection included a list of repairs that had nothing to do with the brakes. or the noise that i originally came for better business bureau is going to be notified about this place read more
