The manager told me the cover for the air filter was "broken" he was so confident that he had me come with him into the garage to show me how it wasn't "closing" lo and behold it closed -__- Here we are two months since this incident and oil change and my oil light is now back on.. I've been a customer of this company for about four years and have visited multiple locations over that time. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me extremely disappointed. I called the morning of my visit to ask about the cost of an oil change because the price seems to vary each time I come in. I was quoted $19.99 over the phone. When I arrived, Leanna (not sure if this is her name but the lady with the Russian sounding accent) informed me the total would be $36. While I had no issue with that price, I asked what oil change service was being advertised at $19.99 since that amount wasn't reflected anywhere on my receipt. I was told the oil filter was extra, which was surprising because I've never noticed being charged separately for that before. I explained that my last visit was around $25. She said prices are going up and if you go anywhere else you'll see were the cheapest. I asked if she could check my history. After looking in the system, she told me I had paid around $57 previously and then sarcastically asked if I wanted her to change my current price from $36 to $57. I found that comment completely unprofessional and unnecessary. From the beginning of the interaction, her attitude was rude and dismissive. When I questioned the pricing difference, I was repeatedly told that "everything is going up" and that gas prices are increasing. When I pointed out that I had received a different quote just hours earlier, the response was more of the same rather than an explanation. After the comment about charging me the higher amount, I asked to speak with a manager. While I was discussing the situation with John, who was very apologetic and professional, Leanna interrupted our conversation to ask whether I wanted my tires rotated--a question she had already asked when I first arrived and to which I had already said yes. The issue was never the price. I've paid more than $36 at this same business before without complaint. The problem was the poor customer service and disrespectful attitude. In four years of doing business with this company and visiting three different locations, I have never been treated this way. During the oil change a different lady that was standing there at the time I was getting poor service came to me and said she was the manager and she showed the other lady the proper way to look up a customer's history. Which lets me know I was right about being charged a lesser amount my last visit. No only was the lady rude, she didn't even know what she was talking about for my last visit there. And if you're the manager, why would you just stand there and let this lady handle the situation with an attitude??? I appreciate John for handling the situation professionally and apologizing for the experience. However, Leanna's behavior left such a negative impression that I'm reconsidering whether I want to continue giving this company my business. I've also noticed other reviews mentioning similar concerns about front desk customer service. As a company, I would strongly encourage management to take reviews seriously and provide additional customer service training. read more

I came in for a smog check. Called prior if there was a wait. There was zero wait and I was in and out but I checked this place out since this was originally the cheapest smog check in the valley. Well the price went up ironically the weekend before I came in, so now smog is $19.99.. Beware if you try to choose this place for a cheap smog. Good for general maintenance but if you have a check engine light you're better off somewhere else. Brought it in for an emissions light and they recommended we change the catalytic converter for $2k. I asked them for the code and it was a code for a broken O2 sensor, not at all related to the catalytic converter - a $100 part. Replaced it myself for $100 and the code went away. TLDR; good for oil, tires, not much else. Just go on YouTube instead. read more

OMG I did previous work last month with JR and they did a good job and did what they said they did. Mount, my water pump a belt, etc. but my alternator died last night so I went back to try to replace it and the manager Jose told me it was going to cost $800 and I needed the oem part because my car was a "sport" I told him I wanted a 2nd opinion because I was told it wasn't going to be more than $400 than he went off about how misinformed I was and that he couldn't budge on the price i obviously told them no and the tension and attitude shifted negatively and as I was driving away I noticed inside of my car has been touched and things that were left open were closed. $10 smog. Was out in less than 20 min even though I was a walk in and they were short handed (so I heard the desk person say on the phone).

General manager is very rude and even told us that we need to get our vehicle inspected at the dmv he said he called our car to the dmv which is false. We came to get a simple smog. He could have been nicer and refuse service. But to tell us lies is not needed hope that manager his acts together. I will not come back to this location rainbow and 215 bad customer service. We went to USA auto service #15 on Rainbow today for a simple smog check. We told the front desk woman that we would like only smog check - no inspections. She then processed the paperwork, added this note: "Customer Declined Inspection" and handed the key to a tech. After about 10-15 mins, one man, who apparently the general manager there, told us that they MUST do the inspection. We told him multiple times that we didn't want it but he kept pushing, saying that they needed to make sure there's nothing wrong with the car and it's safe to drive. And they wouldn't be liable otherwise. That just made no sense, the car was fine coming in and a smog test doesn't require a safety inspection. We told him that we've used other locations before and they never required us to have the inspection. He claimed that it's a new rule which turned out to be completely false. When we declined for 4th or 5th time, he told the front desk woman to mark "do not service" on my account. By then, the smog check was already done, so we paid, got the key back and left. We later called several USA auto service locations and every one of them confirmed that we can do ONLY smog check and decline the inspection. DO NOT go to this location - 5890 S Rainbow blvd. Total scam vibe!! and I'm sure if we had agreed to the inspection, they would've "found" all kind of problems that didn't exist. read more

Brittany was so nice handling my paperwork AND she kept me so entertained while I waited for my diagnostic to be finished. Anelio ran me through the main issue with my jeep (which is what I expected it to be), and he even stayed to chat and help me solve some other questions I had on self-modifications I was doing on the car. BE AWARE: Brought my jeep in back in February for what should've been a diagnostic test & for them to flush my coolant tank. Of course they started bringing up other issues left and right trying to pressure me to spend $1400+ on the spot. I allowed them to do 1 of the recommended services because after they flushed my coolant tank all of a sudden my car wouldn't start. I wasn't having issues with it starting when I brought it in only had issues with it smoking. They claimed the starter was locked. I asked TWICE "so if I replace the starter and it doesn't start then what" I was met with no solid answer to that question. They replaced the starter and it still wasnt starting. A waste of $600. Then all of a sudden it was my spark plugs because "they were wet from coolant" which is understandable but if that was truly the case my car wouldn't have been starting to begin with because I had a crack in my thermostat housing before I got there according to them. I'm not even sure if they put my spark plugs back in. The car stopped working after they worked on it. DO NOT GET WORK DONE HERE. I truly believe they did something so I would have to spend more money. As a single mother it was the worst experience I ever had at an auto shop. I now have to get a whole new engine and am out of a car for the next few months. I severely regret trusting the manager. He's money hungry and clearly hires individuals who don't actually fix cars. If you come here stick to the basic car maintenance services and get actual work done some where else. If I could sue them I would. A 1 hr service ended up 4-5 hrs in which one of the workers had to take me to pick my kid up from school. Took my smooth ride it's a 2014 Lincoln mks for oil change manager told me my sway bars needed to be replaced so I let them change them out cause I don't want further issues with my vehicle then right after it was done it makes clunking noise over every bump in the road and sounds like suspension is going to fall apart took it back and they refused to take blame and then blamed it on my shocks instead mind you the car was quiet and smooth as hell no noise period over any bumps as soon as they had they're hand on it now it sounds like a piece of junk wtf is this business doing will be taking to small claims court after I had a mechanic come out and look at it he had told me they either used the old hardware on new parts or didn't torque to spec or properly torque them cause your supposed to finish torquing them once car is on the ground on its whole weight but they did it all in the air these guys are scammers read more

Came to this location as my car was having boost issues. I could not accelerate properly. Bob and his team were able to figure out that I was having an issue with my diverter valve and another valve related to my turbo. They also found a vacuum leak and going to my turbo. Since they fixed it my little Volkswagen has gained all its power back and is driving great. To top it off while I was waiting I witnessed how professional he was with every customer they called and came in. Heads up people. This place will rip you off. I spoke to Josh. He was frendly and informative at first. I went in for front and rear brakes. He quoted me $450. I said is that for everything. He said yes. He showed me the brakes and recommended that they be replaced. Again I said is the $450 for everything and he said yes. They did the brake job. When i went to pay they charged me over $900. He sais what i quoted was just for the front brakes. Do not use them. I will be going to the better business bureau this week. read more

Here at USA AUTO service is honestly a mess, they take for ever for a simple smog check. They sit in the back laughing at their phones just to not be able to work on your car and once you call over the phone they use the name "Britney" so they don't get a direct complain. This place is not it to come. They also need to change their signs because they have the wrong prices especially for a smog check on the sign it said it was $9.99 but instead it was $19.99.
