the mechanics and technicians here mostly do a good job. It is very unfortunate that they are so very lax on wearing masks. This location was doing very good with its customer service and wait times, however, something has changed. Between the extra time that is taken to service my vehicle, even with appointment, and they and over half of the waiting customers not bothering to wear a mask, the top tier care has gone down. I am not surprised that it is closed due to a covid outbreak. Too many people in this city don't take spreading a sickness seriously. i am hoping that things can turn around for this location. they have done better in the past. they can get there again. read more

My tire was punctured by a big piece of metal that was causing it to slowly lose air. I went in for a patch job and they fixed it no problem in about an hour and a half. It only cost about $30. I was going to take it somewhere else for a free fix but that that location didn't sound friendly when I called, and couldn't guarantee that I would have my car back in time to get to work. Mike (from firestone) was helping me out and he assured me it wouldn't take long and I had it back in plenty of time to get to work. The staff here was super helpful and respectful! read more

What a great group of guys :) I first took my SUV in to replace my front breaks replaced. The employees here were very helpful, attentive, and clear about everything they were doing. I left my truck with them and they called me a couple of times during the replacement process to keep me updated on what was happening and the time frame. They didn't try and tell me bullshit things were wrong with my car to get me to spend more money. They did their job, and they did it very well! I even got a lifetime warranty with the breaks they put on without paying extra for it! About a month and a half after getting my front breaks done, I started hearing a HORRIBLE squeak from sounded like my back breaks. I knew they needed to be done soon, so I opted to go back to the same place since I liked them so much. This time I waited around since my friends were all at work and I didn't have a ride. They gave me the tv remote to watch whatever I wanted, which was so nice. I wasn't stuck watching something boring while I waited for 2hours. They even turned the AC up when I got cold. After a while one of the guys came in and let me know that the squeaking sound I was hearing was not my back breaks. Although they did need to be replaced due to being worn down, they weren't worn down to the metal. They asked if I'd gotten my car detailed lately, and I said yes. Every other week. Turns out the last time I got it detailed, they put too much Armorall on the tires and it soaked the break pads! They ended up changing the pads on the front for no charge, since they were under warranty, while they were replacing the back ones. I always leave happy from this place and would recommend it to anyone who needs breaks!! read more

Needed new tires on my Tahoe and went to Firestone on Tustin and Taft... I was pleasantly surprised. Erick was super helpful, this guy went above and beyond to help me out. I got there just an hour (more like 40 minutes) before closing and he stayed until the tires and alignment were done. He topped off my oil, wiper fluid, coolant, and replaced one of my headlights. You know I really wonder if they think about their customers... now I walked in already annoyed after going to the Santa ana location and waiting 45 mins and them not even pulling in my car... so I decided to go to this location after he told me it would be 30 mins... now mind u I have been working all night and stressed that I really dont wanna wait that was over 2 hours ago and I am still here ... who knows how my car will be when I am done... Service is number one ur customers pay ur bills. Now if he would have said it would be two hours I would have left.... I did not want to sit here this long waiting for idk what to be done... Staff at the service center is one of the friedliest places for tire service. I went there to fix a flat tire and they patched the hole and replaced the valve stem for $16. When I was taking bunch of stuff out of the trunk, I accidentally left my trunk panel in their parking lot. Didn't find out til the next day. But sure enough, I called there and they had it. I am a little hesitant to rate this business because I find that I get mixed results from car service joints. Normally I take my car to the dealership, but I thought for brakes, I can go anywhere. So I came here. Overall they did a good job and the price was reasonable - only slightly lower than the dealership (less than 20% cheaper). They did their normal upselling monologue,but didn't hard-sell. So I'm happy. They mentioned a few things that are needed, and others that I will need. That's fair. If I go again and get similar service, I'll upgrade them to four stars. read more

I have been here twice and the service is poor. The main problem is the lack of follow through on the staffs part who promise to call and give you an update on your car and they never do while it just sits there not getting worked on. As mentioned in previous review, I've had my ups and down with this place. This time they've loss my business. This place has kept my car for over two months, let me repeat over two months. Just to find out today that nothing was done and if I want to fix a long list of what's needed, I have to come up over a thousand dollars. I initially brought it in for breaks and oil change. That was not done as of today. My car would still continue to sit there if I didn't call in to check. This is my spare car so I was not in a hurry to get it back. But for a business to have have a work order open for two months with no calls is ridiculous. I've had called in a few times to check but was told they're still trying to diagnose the check engine light problem. This is horrible service and not staying on top of open work order is a problem. read more

I dropped my truck off at 10:30 in the morning for a simple alignment. They told me it would be a couple of hours. After five hours I called the store to check on the status. They told me that my truck was Up Next and would be ready at 4 PM. I gave them some extra time and arrived at 4:30 only to find my truck parked in the same parking stall that I had parked it in, almost 6 hours earlier. The guy told me that they had dropped the ball and were going to do my truck right away. One hour and 45 minutes later they finally told me my truck was finished..... they seem to get upset when I asked if they were using the proper specifications since the paperwork they gave me, said the Specifications were for a 2015 truck and not my 2021. But what I questioned was the fact that there was an additional $125 fee for them to reset two sensors that apparently were required to have done anytime in alignment is completed. $325 wheel alignment. But I was not alone. They were two gentlemen from the Marine Corps there and they ended up telling the store to give them the keys back they were tired of waiting. Apparently they had been waiting just as long as I had and they had not even touched their vehicle yet. Another lady came in to pick up her car and of course it wasn't ready. When they finally finished her car and brought it around for, as she got inside it she noticed a problem and had to come back inside. They had to return the car to the service bay and do more work on it. But rest asured.....,Firestone!!!!! I will not be back read more

Poor service. Freddy took it upon himself to downsize my tires without consent. First of all, we had bought 2 tires for my suburban that they placed in the back. A few months later I went back and bought 2 front tires and got an oil change. I ended up taking it back because my whole truck would shake when I hit 67-68. When I went back they said I needed rear brakes and they fixed the shaking. Once I was able to get on the freeway the shaking continued. I took it back again and thats when they replaced all 4 tires with a different brand and downsized without permission. All they kept saying to me was "we upgraded your tires" The rotors they put on rusted which looks horrible on my vehicle because the rotors on my front tires are silver and look perfectly fine. This sucks because My husband and I have been loyal costumers for years. Cory is the only person who wanted to actually make things right with my complaints. If you ever have to go there ask for Cory. read more

I live in Hawaii and my daughter is a student at Chapman University, but she lives off campus, so we got her a used car to get around. She came home for Christmas break and we asked her roommate to run the car once in a while. After 2 weeks, her roommate told her the car wouldn't start. Based upon the symptoms, it needed a new battery. When I talked to my daughter about replacing the battery herself and showed her how, I could tell she really would prefer that someone else did it. I called around, and I'm sure Jiffy Lube and Pep Boys are reputable companies, but I didn't get as good a feeling talking to them as I did talking to Rick at Firestone. He was the only one that even offered to come to the house, jump start the car, then do a thorough job to ensure the alternator and charging system were good. So my daughter got back from break, called Rick, and he did as promised by coming to the house, jump starting the car, then replacing the battery and checking the charging system. They did a thorough check of the car and called me with recommendations. It had been over a year since the last oil change so we did that too. They also found the inner treads of the tires were at 2/32" and even though the center and outer treads were ok, the uneven wear is evidence of misalignment, so we replaced the tires and got the lifetime alignment. One might think these services might not have been required, but I did have the maintenance records of the previous owner and the tires had over 40k miles but the only alignment was done after control arms were replaced, so it made sense. The main thing I want to convey was after Rick took the time to explain things to me, I really got the impression he was looking out for the best interest of my daughter. He applied all the applicable discounts and more, which am very grateful for. read more

Had tires sent here from Tire Rack to have mounted on some Cadillac ATS wheels I just had custom black chrome plated for my son for Christmas. When I dropped off the rims, I told the tech they were staggered and to make sure the wider rear tires were mounted on the wider rear rims. He kept telling me that the stagger was based on the tires, not rim size, however the rims were 9" wide and 9.5" wide. I asked to just mount the wider tires on the wider rims... When I came back hours later to pick up the mounted tires with wheels it was obvious the face of the wheels were scuffed up. When these were dropped off they were in boxes wrapped in foam and plastic... I showed the tech and he said that happens sometimes... Problem is I just put out 2k for this set of wheels... Anyway, I just load them up and leave. I got about 2 miles away and decided to pull over and measure the tires and rims to make sure they mounted them right. Upon inspection, nope. one front and rear was right however the other pair were backwards. I went back to the shop and the tech told me there was no way to tell by eye. I showed him how you could tell by eye and the wheels are marked on the inside with the size as well... I also asked them to try their best to be more gentle this time as they scuffed them really good the last time and the last thing I want is more scuffing. About 20 minutes in on me waiting another tech came out and said he was the first guy to mount them and he was sorry about the scuffing. I told him it was a present and I don't know how to even fix them. He offered to hit them with a sharpie marker... Obviously I declined. After 45 minutes of waiting, they rolled out the first wheel. It was slathered in tire wet, so I was immediately thinking something was wrong. It was dark out as it was almost 6pm now. I lifted into the back of my car and tried my best to inspect it. It did not look any more scuffed than before. The second wheel comes out and its slathered too in tire wet. Keep in mind, I am putting these in the back of a new escalade, all greasy. I start inspecting it and this one has a deep scratch on the face, I showed the guy and he said he didn't do it, must have been the first guy. Ok, well I just paid 2k for these and he said, yea... custom rims are expensive. I closed the trunk and left. When I got home I cleaned the wheels best I could to inspect them and they are not acceptable for a Christmas gift. I contacted the plater in Michigan and asked him if he could fix. I need to send them to him and he has to re plate the wheels. At this point we are just going to give to our son on Christmas as is, but he wont be able to mount them on his car. We will need to send back to Michigan and have them re-done and hopefully have them back in a few weeks. If you have a beater car with beater wheels, this place MIGHT be able to help you. However if you have anything nice or of value, I would avoid as it will be a very expensive trip. read more

This place is super busy and they overbooked all the time. I came on Saturday and they were booked so I made and appointment for Sunday. I drop off my car on Sunday at 3pm and it was still not ready at 7:50pm. I just hope they were honest with me from the beginning when I drop off my car that they are fully booked again. I waited in the lobby for over two hours and they keep on telling me it's almost done. I only came here because I had good experiences before and they are near my house. I just wish they are more straight forward with the timing and don't over booked. read more

Don't go here. Made an appointment for very early 7am because they said they would only take 30-45 minutes to do wheel alignment and tire rotation and inspection. It's been 2 hours and they finally finished. As they pulled my car up after saying everything looks great, when I started the car it was revving very loudly for no reason. Tech had no idea why and asked if that ever happened before. It's the first time it happened and I'm worried they did something wrong with my car during inspection. The problem did not occur again but tech still unsure what happened. What did they do to my car with a simple inspection, tire rotation? Last time I am coming here before they damage my car even more and make me wait more than the double the time they said it would be with an appointment. read more

Horrible service!!! I took my truck in for my air conditioner to be checked. I was informed it would cost me $1000. I was recommended to another shop. Took my truck in, was there not even 1 hour. It was a loose part that needed to be reconnected. It was not a $1000 job. Freddy's customer service was HORRIBLE. I had an appointment was made to wait 3 hours. Manager says it will take at least 3 hours, might as well forget it. Well, at THIS location. My last experience with them, we don't have your tires (Toyota Sienna, came from dealer with Firestone tires standard) and we won't get them. Going to Firestone on MacArthur in Santa Ana, different owner and completely different attitude. They have my tires in stock always. Had oil change etc. and was told I need new tires, which I totally agree because my car just sits most of the time and the tires crack. With new tires and a lifetime alignment (I learned that early on!) my 11-year-old Sebring drives like a new car. I'm writing this review to let you know what kind of service I received 9 months after getting my car overhauled. My car had been serviced for 8 yrs at the dealer until they said it wasn't worth fixing. I was so distraught but was referred to Firestone Complete Auto Care. Yes, Corey was very helpful and I was happy he promised to get my car back on the road. It was an expensive repair (had to apply for a credit card) but less expensive than a new car. It took a couple days and Corey called me and said it was ready. I got a ride to p/u my car and on the way home the engine light came on. So very disappointing when your thinking is "my tribulation is over", but it wasn't. So I had to leave my car for another couple of days but this time I was offered a rent-a-car by Enterprise and Firestone p/u the tab. Finally I got my car back, but 9 months later I received a bill from Enterprise. I've talked to Freddy (the manager) who said he would take care of it. He did NOT. Enterprise said they've been trying to get Firestone to pay this but to no avail so they come to me. I've called several more times and even Corey said he would get to the bottom of this and get it satisfied. I'm on 4months of still getting calls and notices and threats of going in collection because it's still not paid. I have been very patient in order to get this resolved but still it's NOT PAID. This is not professional customer service and I believe consumers need to know. Hopefully this review will help others, even if it's at least one person. T/u for listening. I have been a loyal customer at this location for over fifteen years. Recently within the past few years something has gone horribly wrong with this location. Made a twelve pm appt on a satuday for oil change and transmission fluid exchange. I was told it would be done in less than 2 hours. They drove my truck around the back,opened the hood and let it sit for two hours. I finally got fed up and asked why nothing has been done and the maintenance manger told me they're just now getting around to it and it would be an additional hour. Why make an appointment if your gonna sit in the waiting room for two hours. I have spent thousands here on tires,shocks and service over the years and i have had enough! Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. After 1.5 hours, I pay and go home only to realize they never actually rotated my tires, but charged me for it. I called to ask what happened and they said they "left the better tires on the back for my safety." So they basically charged me for something they never actually did. They refunded me over the phone, but only after I brought it to their attention. Go somewhere else who will be honest with you. read more

Lazy and inefficient My work truck has been going to this facility for the last 2-3 years along with my 6 other trucks and cars. I made an 8am appointment four days prior to the Sunday I was going to bring the work truck in, the only day the truck is down and I do not work. A simple 4 tire change and oil change. Again that has been done numerous times at this facility. My 8am appointment and drop off turned into a 4pm phone call that they could not do the work. The manager told one story over the phone and a different story upon pick up. No oil change or new tires in the 8.5 hrs that the truck was there. Pure laziness, lack of leadership, responsibility and respect for a customers time and pre-planning. I own my own business and I conducted my business this way I would not have any work or referrals for future jobs. Don't go here!!! read more

I have never been so happy to be sitting in a Firestone Tire shop. I have not been waiting long but would wait forever, just to get a tire plug. I rolled up in this Firestone right when they were closing and they really saved me. A really nice guy named Corey came and greeted me. He didn't come to tell me he couldn't help me like "Just Tires" did after standing right in front of the guy at the window for 10 minutes. Corey actually got right on it. Took my tire out of my car gave it to the guy in the back and 10 minutes later im just about finished up here. My situation: I was on the 5-FWY, in the fast last just crusin and all a sudden I hear something weird, look at my dash and I've got low, very low pressure, which turned into a flat. It scared the shit out of me. The people on the freeway were gracious enough and noticed the flat and let me over. I pulled off the 5 & Redhill. I have a new 2019 Honda Pilot. My husband was not with me, so I had to deal with this. It was about 4:00 pm .& it was a Sunday. (Already have everything against me) Props to Geico Insurance Co. for sending a tow truck, which came in a reasonable time. It wasn't the best of areas to have a flat, but hey....it us what it is. Most of the tire repair shops were already closed or would be closing soon. I went to a couple of tire shops and they told me straight up they couldn't take anymore vehicles, and yes they were busy. I respect that. "Just Tires" really pissed me off. I got outta my car, mind you a doughnut on a pilot is VERY noticeable.Stood in the line. The man at the counter was another woman. While helping her a guy walks in the door. The guy behind the counter started cutting up with him. The customer in front of him was getting irritated, I was getting irritated. It seemed the only one who was having a good time was the two in the conversation. Not the customer on front of him. After standing there 10 minutes the guy behind the counter looks at me and says, " If you're here to have anything done to your car you will have to leave it over night and come back in the morning." WTF....time is precious. Especially when I was trying to get this tired fixed because I didn't trust the doughnut on my car. I had to drive from Santa Ana to San Juan Capistrano, by myself. I was nervous and of course worried. So I just left. By that time it was 1]5 till 5. I went to a parking lot and literally cried for a minute because I was so frustrated. Everyone was closed.....so I thought. After I pulled myself together I started to look for more shops. FIRESTONE TIRES ha ha is open till 6. I didn't have much time at that point. By the time I got there they were literally closing. IWhen I pulled up this guy came right up to me. Probably seeing the spare on my car, I thought he was going to tell me their closed. Nope....this gentleman that came up to me was so ready to help. I couldn't believe it. I explained to him the situation and he sympathetic to my situation, even though he was already to help before I had expressed anything to him. Corey I know I said thank you a million times, so I'll make it a million and one. Thank you so much for what you did to help me. You have no idea how much it means. My husband who has been at sea for almost a year thanks you. If he was here on that day he would of taken the burden and stress off me and found of a the flat tire. Corey, my son who was worried and waiting for me and his dinner really thanks you. It is not often that someone does what you did Corey. You have a wonderful work ethic and I hope it takes you far.
