I had to ask if they fixed my problem when I picked it up and they went in and still had to do work on it because they didn't fix it and I had to wait even longer for my car and missed the beginning of my dinner. I had made an online appointment for 4 new tires at this place 2 days earlier for a Saturday morning only to arrive and be told that they didn't have that tire in stock and would have to order it. That would take about and hour or so, I was informed. I was assured that my car would be taken right in when I arrived. No worries I thought, I'll go take care of some other errands then go back. So I hit the car wash and art supply store to kill some time. I returned just over 2 hours later and they did, in fact, take the car right in. I told them I would wait and was told it would be about an hour. I sit down and read for a bit. 2 hours goes by and my patience has run out and stomach is reminding me that I hadn't eaten yet today. Just as I'm about to get up and inquiry about my ride, I see it pull up. Oddly, the trip here seemed to be broken up into 2 hour chunks. Not really happy about the appointment snafu or the time it took to install the tires, but they did a good job and the customer service was reasonable. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Avoid this bait and switch crook auto shop. the advertisement was for a $99 per axle brake job including resurfacing the rotor, and new brake pads. After leaving my car there i received a call from the crook manager telling me that the coupon wasn't good and that my car was a 60k suv and would need an $1100 brake job. I'm no dummy. I looked up the part# for the brake pads. they were trying to charge me $184 for brake pads that WERE INCLUDED IN THE SPECIAL. I can buy the same parts from amazon for $40 pers set! These guys are outright highway robbers. Avoid! I went to pep boys down the street who honored the firestone coupon and had it done instead. For $780 i ended up with all oem vw oem parts from http://parts.com with pep boys doing the work. read more

I purchased the lifetime alignment for my car and some reservations because usually I have to hear a sales pitch every time I go anywhere to get work done on my car but I'm happy to say the customer service is amazing and all my visits have been easy and pressure free. The few times I've been in, its usually Chris who helps me but today was someone new and he was just as accommodating and friendly. I recommend this location for hassle free and quick services. I had a horrible experience at this particular Firestone. I always take my car there for alignment and rotation (as I have the lifetime alignment package with them which is a really great deal). When I dropped my car off, I told them I was hearing a noise that sounded like a fan when I would accelerate. I felt like the guy who I spoke with thought I was an idiot and I just got a very bad vibe. He calls me a few hours later and proceeds to tell me I need $1700 worth of work done on my car. Just a couple of things he said I needed were new front and back struts (that's why I was hearing the noise apparently) along with four new tires. I'm very good about checking my tires and hadn't noticed they were to the point where all four needed to be replaced. I asked him to please write me up an estimate and I was going to get a second opinion. When I went to go pick up my car I asked the man to show me the wear and tear on my tires. He shows me my front driver side tire and yes, there was some wear on it, but not to the point where it looked like it needed to be replaced. Next he shows me the front passenger side tire and goes off on this speel telling me how the lines are going the wrong way and this can be dangerous if you're driving in rain, yadda yadda. None of this really made sense to me so I ask, "Why is it that the lines are only going the wrong way on one of the tires?" His reply, "When someone aligns your tires incorrectly." I told him, "How funny because I always get my tires aligned there." (Which he had absolutely nothing to say after my statement.) I leave at this point and then when I get home I look more at my tires because I was still confused about the lines going the wrong way issue and then discover the reason the tires were going the wrong way is because my tire was put on backwards. I couldn't believe it, Firestone is a TIRE company, you'd think they'd be able to put a tire on the right way. I took my car to the dealership the next day for my second opinion and they couldn't believe the laundry list of things that Firestone said I needed. They were kind enough to fix my backwards tire for free and then in the process of putting the tire on the right way, they discovered that my front brakes pads were almost completely worn away. So that makes me wonder if Firestone even rotated my tires because you think they would have noticed that when they took the tires off. To say the least, I was furious at the service I received. I felt like when I walked in they thought I was an easy target and could make some money off of me. If I ever take my car back to Firestone for my alignment and they tell me I need additional service done, I will ALWAYS get a second opinion. read more

This place is the worst. Had an appt. for an oil change/tire rotation and after waiting 1.5 hours, they tell me there's a nail in my tire and advised it should be replaced. That's fine, I drove over a nail, replace the tire. Waited another half hour for that to be done. Got home and realized my wheel cover was missing. After 6 phone calls (each promising me my wheel cover was ordered) and 3 weeks later...it has FINALLY come on. Will never come back. Awful customer service and was told the reason my wheel cover wasn't ordered was because I had never given them my VIN. I called twice to give them the info need. Greg must have lost my VIN info twice, just like he lost my wheel cover. read more

3 weeks ago, my car showed the tires' pressure was off so I took my car to Firestone where I did replace the new tires few months ago. there were 3 guys to handle my car. Finally, the 3rd guy told me the struts were leaking and I need to replace them quick for $550.00. I told him I was in rush to finish few things before taking off vacations. They let me waiting for 3 hours to replace the new tires due to many nails. yesterday, after the vacations, I called Toyota dealer and asked for an appointment. The service's technician asked me who told me that the struts were leaking because they are supposed to be good between 120,000 - 150,000 miles. He told me to bring the car in for a complimentary checkup so I did this morning. Toyota's technician told me the struts work fine. I wasted 3 hours because I did not want to replace the struts. Worst Customer Service EVER!! I have been to this Firestone location two times and each time I have had to file a complaint with their district offices. They talk down to their customers, perform insufficient quality "service" to your vehicle, and do not own up to their mistakes. I took my car here for one problem and left with a completely different issue. They did not want to fix the problem they caused without charging me and their explanation of how it happened did not coincide with the evidence I found after personally inspecting my vehicle. Disappointed overall with my experience here. Took my car in for tire installation and a "check up" on Friday morning. After 6 hours, I call to get the status and they tell me they are just getting to me and can they keep it overnight - fine. Saturday late morning I call for an update to find that a bearing needs fixed and it will be done by Sunday afternoon. Sunday afternoon I call again (mind you, not a single phone call to me thus far, I've done all the calling) to find that the part has not come in and they need it until Monday. On Monday, the car is done and they tell me that the bearing is not the cause of the noise I came in to have checked and it is still squealing and they don't know what's wrong! No communication, poor service, but they did comp me the price of the bearing repair...thanks, I guess. Probably won't be returning. read more

From my first phone call to this store yesterday morning to get a price quote, availability, etc to his last communication to me this morning, Freddy's service was perfect in every way. After having a flat tire late Saturday night, I called around yesterday morning to compare prices. Because I have enjoyed excellent service at various Firestone stores for 15 years, I chose to get my tires at this store. When I arrived, Freddy introduced me to their DriveGuard tire which has a much firmer side so that if I, you, or anyone has a flat while on a busy freeway, with DriveGuard tires you can continue to drive till you get to the nearest place to fix or repair it vs have to stop. I really love this feature! I chose to get four new DriveGuards and thruout the entire installation time which included a longer-than-planned wait time to get these tires delivered from another store, Freddy's service was impeccable. And he got a bit of a justified discount approved due to my extra wait time. That's what I really appreciate. That's why I'd give him a 10 or 20 rating! So I highly recommend not only this store so Freddy can provide you with the same wonderful service, but I also highly recommend getting DriveGuard tires for your safety and that of your loved ones or anyone you have in your car on these crazy, busy freeways! I came to firestone with a simple problem. My back driver's side tire was flat. So I left it with them for 3 hours, I didn't check to make sure they replaced the correct one I just drove home. Months ago I bought 4 brand new tires from them and was told that if ever I got a flat tire just take it in they'll fix it for free. So I just bought a lifetime free tire alignment/balancing & free valve repair from them for a total of almost 60 bucks. I went there this morning coz there's a nail stucked in one of my tire. The lady associate told me it would cost me $30.77 for the repair since I didn't bought a roadside assistance. I told het I don't need it since I have triple a then she's been somewhat giving an attitude. Well, to cut the story short, I just paid the amount just to please her & to avoid further argument. We've used this location many times; however, this time we brought my husband's care in for overheating. They did a diagnostic (limited, I believe) and recommended new houses and new brakes (nothing to do with the overheating issue). Nearly two thousand dollars later, the car wouldn't start to even leave the lot. Mechanic heated the spark plugs and the car started. Over the next five or so days, the car would only start sporadically and my husband changed the spark plugs twice. We brought the car back in saying it wasn't fixed right. Their recommendation was put in a new engine for $7200 more. (Or they said it could be a cracked head.) This car is a 2001 and not worth putting $10,000 into. If they'd diagnosed it correctly the first time, we would have not done any repairs and got rid of it. We stated our grievances, was told the manager would call my husband to discuss it, but he did not! They did allow us to leave the car in their lot while waiting for the manager to call. This a.m. my husband went to have pick up the car and talk to the manager. No offers to see how we could work out the fact we've now paid $2,000 on a car that still doesn't work and is not worth putting money into. No apologies, that they hadn't diagnosed it correctly in the beginning. There was a decided air of they didn't care now that they had our $2,000. If it weren't for the lifetime front end alignment and the tire warranties, we would never go back to Firestone again. I would like to have given this review "No stars!" but it wasn't an option. read more

My DH bought tires, balancing, alignment here. It's close to his work, and they did a great job of selling him on their service. So when it came time for my Aspen (Durango) to get new shocks, he called them first. The first quote was $1350 for 4 Bilstien shocks and installation. Found the shocks online for $70, $110 at local auto parts store. He called Firestone back to double check pricing, but Firestone never returned the call. I called the next week, told them how high there estimate was. While Firestone worked on bringing the cost down, I called the local service place for a quote. They couldn't find the shocks, but they'd install for $220. Best Firestone could do was $900 out the door. I bought the shocks online, had the local shot install. The installation was so easy, they charged me $150. Total cost: Under $500. AND I got the car smogged on the same visit, something Firestone doesn't do. read more

Mike Claire specifically took care of my Mercedes and made sure that the issues from a shop not even within radius were fixed and taken care of. The advice was honest and the service was excellent. My experience was very brief, but fantastic. Let me start out by saying I am a MORON when it comes to cars. Like, the worst. My low tire pressure light was on and I thought it was the check engine light until I checked the manual. I had to google which kind of oil to put in my car. I'm an idiot with cars. I'm a pathetic excuse for a man. My father (who worked on cars since before I was born) is so ashamed. Anyway, so I figured out my tire pressure was low. The closest gas station with air is all the way in Placentia... no thanks. So I went to Autozone to get a pump. It broke. Tried some crap in a can... didn't do squat. So finally I drove my car, now with one tire practically flat from the broken pump, over to this Firestone and asked for help. The guy at the counter just told me to pull it up to the bay and put air in it in about eight seconds. He was super friendly and didn't even charge me. I didn't have to wait at all. He said the light might stay on for another ten miles or so, but it went off almost immediately. I don't know, maybe if I had a real service done here, my opinion would be different. But this Firestone saved my butt and I should've just come here first instead of wasting $25 on gimmicky crap at Autozone. read more

I have nothing but props to these guys. They were courteous, Gregg in the office was extremely helpful and I got a free upgrade. They were thorough with the investigation (my rim has scuffs from a blowout so they addressed that with a sealant and minor repair at no charge) of my flat and I now have a smooth ride and no worries. Prices were better than WalMart and Sears (I NEVER GO TO WALMART! REFUSE TO HURT SMALL BUSINESSES!) and the mechanics/installers were all courteous and engaging. Very friendly. Riccardo the tech I had was superb at his job and had a good sense of humor. I would send my daughter there without fear (if I had kids). Totally professional! Unfortunate the only bad part is what goes on everywhere - ridiculous California fees on tires/recycling. Nice guys here! I made a appointment for a oil change, tire rotation and a safety check on my van. Lee was very helpful going over some issues with my brakes pads when my van was on the lift. The brake pads were low and needed to be changed soon but he did not pressure me at the time to replace them so next time when I'm there for a oil change and safety check I will have my brakes done. Our business is a long time client with them, somewhere around 20 years. they now have a third-party check system that would not take a company check nor would they call the bank to verify funds. after arguing with the service manager I was told don't shoot the messenger by him although all he had to do was check the system to see how much business we've given them which by the way was quite a bit. Freddy and his team are great and I want to extend my appreciation for their help yesterday. Had a really bad experience with a frontal alignment work at the Garden Grove Firestone location, which resulted in multiple errors on dashboard. Came by here, and although I was not expecting much that can be done without actually bringing it to the dealership, they assured me that it was possible to be fixed. To my luck, everything was corrected & the system reprogrammed, and even though it took awhile, I am thankful that the car now drives straight and there is no lights on the dashboard. I will be coming here in future for my car's services and I will avoid the Garden Grove Firestone location at all cost. The technicians here are also much more competent to start with. read more
