My wife ordered a set of tires online through her work. Unfortunately, they were wrong. When the make and model are put in the tire size comes up incorrectly. However, I sit there for two hours before any mention. "Oh, we have a problem." First thing I say is, "Okay, the first thing you asked me is the make, model, and year. Seems like since we ordered them online, you'd verify that they match." He says, "it's not my fault, look, this is what I see on the computer." Sure enough, it's the same incorrect size. He then follows up; the computer sizes are wrong all the time. You must have upgraded the tires. I personally bought the car brand new, one of twenty identical cars. When I tell him this he adds, "the computer is wrong all the time." I actually know this myself having bought so many tires over the years. But my wife bought these without verifying. My first thought was, "Did you just say that out loud? If it happens all the time, and you are Johnny who has been at that location for twenty years, then you know by now to check the size physically first thing!" No offer of we have these tires. No, that was my suggestion, but I get hesitation and unsurety when I ask, "can you put them on today?" When I realize I've been here for 2 hours, and I'd be lucky if it's another two hours, I'm like just get me out of here. Lost the install price, and a set of tires to the Green Valley Road location. Early Sunday at around 10.30am I went there to check tire pressure because I have lifetime warranty for my tires.the address is 10407 Folsom Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. I was there for at least 5 min there was no one to help me. I went outside and the guys asked me to go back inside someone will help me, no one helped me. I left and went to the gas station terrible customer service and even the guys fixing the cars did care just looked at me like a zombie!!! I have been doing business with these guys over the past year or two. First I signed up with a Lifetime Alignment and they gave me a very good price for it. No hassles either! I have had oil changes, tire checks and axle work done since and Robert and technician Ae have always been super helpful. The price is right too. I never feel like I'm being swindled and the work is done very well. I also appreciate that, coming from a bit of background in knowing my own car maintenance, these guys never treat me like I don't know what I'm talking about. Instead, they simply listen to what I have to say, ask me plenty of qualifying questions and then do a thorough inspection of my Subaru. I highly recommend this shop even if other Firestone's have not offered you the same experience! read more

I have been going to Firestone for 25 years, the two I usually go to did not have an appointment available so I went out of my way because they had an appointment that meet my schedule. The price I was given over the phone for a blend oil change was not honored when I arrived. A few years a go I went into this location for an appointment with an oil change and was there for 2 hours. The other locations (Madison & Marconi) have been great. read more

I made appointment on 1/27 for 1/29 to have 2 cars to get an oil change. I spoke to a Randy who confirmed my first car at 7am and then I could switch to have my second car done. Upon arrival of the first car, i was reassured the second car would be started right after with an employee named Johnny. First car done with no problem then switched to have second car done. I came back about a hour and half later to get my second car. It was never touched. I asked why it didn't get done and was told appointments come first. So after confirming with 2 employees, my car was passed on. Nobody tried to resolve the issue, nobody tried to suggest any other help or to have my car done right then. So now i have to wait for another day and find a new place to bring my cars. Even a apology would of made things right. I love Firestone but this place here I wouldn't recommend. I only giving 2 stars because at least my first car got done but they didn't even tell what is recommendations was needed for it. This place is a service center with great service. read more

Just beware. My mom who is elderly took her car to Firestone to get brakes done. She told me that the guy pressured her into applying for a credit card which she cautiously agreed. Firestone then calls about two hours later and says the work she needs done is nearing a 1000.00 but not to worry because she can use the credit in which she was just awarded. I then became involved and all of sudden he began to back pedal. Taking our business elsewhere. Any suggestions to honest mechanics here in Rancho Cordova? Thanks in advance. read more

The drive belt was replaced and made a squeaking noise afterwards. The mechanic said it will go away after a couple weeks or bring it back if noise stays. I brought the car back and mechanic said its either this or that or this other thing making the noise. He said he can fix A then B and if not fixed he can check next part. But the first check costs a couple hundred. Does my whole engine need replacement? The car is a few years old and only one thing was changed incorrectly. Sounds like a scam. I don't recommend them. I brought my car back to Nissan and the belt installed is the wrong size. read more

This business was so crooked that I called the Automotive Repair Bureau which is a government agency that protects customers from highway robbery. I did not think it would have much effect, but the government employee was so responsive it was like sicking the dogs on this Firestone shop. They were required to pay for the towing of my vehicle, correct their mistake, and refund the overcharge on the invoice in which they charged me for double the antifreeze capacity of the truck. Beware of the courtesy check, because it is obviously designed to drum up more business. They were so focused on the courtesy check that they failed to fix the original problem. read more

Today I could not find a tire shop between El Dorado Hills and Rancho to mount a new tire on a wheel accept for these guys. They had a full lobby but had me in and out in 15 minutes. This location (Firestone in Rancho Cordova on Folsom Blvd) has a big shot assistant manager named Kenny (tire sales manager) as well as other incompetent staff who let me sit at their store for over an over for an alignment just to find out they can't help me because they don't have the equipment to operate on rims bugger than 22's. I have them call another location that can. I then call weeks later and they are too incompetent at this location to give a quote. Do not have date your time or money going to this location. Johnny (store manager) and their crew are incompetent as hell. Spend your money where there is a competent staff. Whether that means another Firestone location (Roseville) or another auto shop (Kings Auto service In folsom blvd, awesome shop and awesome) the owners and mechanics). read more

I wasn't thrilled about the lack of communication. I was given a price couple hundred dollars lower than what I ended up paying. No one called me to tell me my car was going to be there overnight. And I called to check on it and they were already close for the evening. I needed to get a new catalytic converter and they told me they did the work in shop and when I called back to check on my truck they said they would have to call because they had send it out. Again no communication. I got my truck back the next morning maybe a half an hour after they open why I couldn't of gotten the night before I don't know. I was told it wasn't going to take more than that day originally. Overall not a very good experience. I figured with their name and reputation I would've trusted my car here but I won't again. read more

Where do I even begin. I had gotten new tires back in January. Popped one on a curb went back to get a new tire and the place that put the new tire on cross threaded my lug nuts and when my boyfriend went to rotate my tires he broke 2 out of 4 off trying to get them off. The fact that it is Sunday not a lot of places are open so we called Firestone they said to bring the car by and they would see what they could do. They said they could fix it and it would be about 45 minutes to an hour. So we leave and come back about an hour and a half later and they are finishing up. The wonderful guy that was helping us said happy thanksgiving we took care of it for you. Didn't charge us and said I wanted to do something nice. UPDATE! Less than a year later I was driving with my mom and boyfriend and we heard a loud noise and then the car started to creak - long story short - the bolt fell out and I took it back to a different firestone and they said the people who did it did not screw it in right - so they replaced the bolts and supposedly checked on the brake's condition and said it was ok (who knows) but they only did that because I was almost at the expiration of the brake warranty-good to know that even though they messed up only the warranty helped.....dangerous read more

I originally came here for tires a while back, but then my check engine light decided to come on right before my registration was due. They are honest and don't try to hard sell "recommended services," which I really appreciate. Also, my light kept coming back on for pretty much no reason and they were really nice about me bringing it back for them to look at. I have been going to this Firestone for decades. Notice the Yelp rating history: back in 2015 it was a solid 4-star business and now it's hovering between 1.5-2.5 stars. There is a reason for this. On the plus side... The staff is very friendly and courteous and they do take appointments. Also they provide a wide range of services, including transmission, brakes, air conditioning service, batteries, shocks, alignments, and of course tires among other things. The waiting room is very clean, as is the customer bathroom. And the location is very convenient. They replaced my AC condenser several years ago, it wasn't cheap but it was done right, still working fine. Also they recently did my front brakes (I knew this would be needed soon), and they were running a special price too. Good brakes, good service. On the minus side... I bought tires from this shop a few years ago which require periodic balancing and rotation to maintain the treadwear warranty. Unfortunately the "ASE certified" shop technicians are in the habit of buzzing the finish on my wheels with the air wrenches. When I point out the new damages to the manager, he always says the damage was there before, when I know very well that is a new ding. It's just hard to prove without before/after photos. One time they were so careless that they broke the wheel lock. This damage could only be done by not using the key and lock carefully, like they just jambed the key against the lock and started spinning the wrench. Of course they replaced the whole set of wheel locks for free, but a qualified and professional mechanic should never do anything like this. I would prefer to do the tire rotations in my home garage (20 minutes tops) but that would not satisfy the warranty requirements, so I have to bring it to them. Alignments... I've paid for lifetime alignment services on both my vehicles and half the time I drive away with the vehicle pulling to one side or the other. I take it back and tell them it's pulling, then they fix it right the 2nd time. I got confirmation that the technicians do test drives before releasing the vehicle back to the owner... but they didn't notice the vehicle pulling, on many occasions? Seems fishy. I mentioned this to the manager and he just shrugged it off, as if it's normal to make 2 visits in order to get 1 good alignment service. I noticed the power steering rack leaking a bit of fluid out of one of the rubber boots. It's not a big leak, just the occasional drip, but it is obvious and I haven't had a chance to fix it yet. In the meantime, I took the vehicle to this Firestone for a periodic service and the vehicle inspection report said nothing in the steering/suspension section. They did not notice this obvious leak from the steering rack. Wow. Other little details are consistently missed, even easy things like tightening the valve stem caps (all 4 were loose last time), greasy shoe marks on the door panel and driver's side carpet (I washed those out myself), greasy fingerprints on the door handle/jamb, etc. That's just lazy and it looks bad. This stuff does not happen every time, but often enough that I feel the need to write it here. I recently called Firestone corporate to talk about the ongoing problems with this shop, and they simply offered me the location of another local Firestone. I will keep going back here but I will keep it to the absolute minimum necessary. read more

We have previously had good service from this location until today. Got a nail in my tire, so called to make sure we had the road hazard warranty. Leonard checked our history and told me we had it. I said the tire had a nail and my husband would be bringing it by tonight. No problem, 15 minute repair...until husband got there! Then it turns into, we can't fix it, hazard warranty purchased is suddenly no longer valid and you'll have to pay for a brand new tire. Then they kept the tire and said they would call us tomorrow with a price for a new one. So disappointed in this Danny and Oscar my husband spoke to, they wouldn't even give him any paperwork! Maybe if I told him to talk to Leonard, we might not have been gouged. read more

We have used this company multiple times due to their proximity to our home, and the fact that we felt stuck after being sold on their lifetime alignment. However in the future we will be taking our tire business elsewhere. They haven't been very friendly in general. In the past we had them rotate our tires but they did not mention noticing any wear. The wear was so bad that we could hardly operate the vehicle after picking it up, and ended up purchasing new tires from them the next day. I should have known that a tire company who will rotate your tires without mentioning that they are super worn is not to be trusted. Well today was the final straw. They broke our lug nut key and then claimed that they found it broken. Then they chiseled off the lug nut. There was no apology or compensation offered. Ugh. Never again. Save yourself some of the pain I have endured and take your business elsewhere. read more

WORST LOCATION EVER!! STAY FAR AWAY!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! You can called ahead of time to see if your car can be serviced, rush there to get it done and then be told they don't have a filter, wow someone couldn't have checked before I wasted my time coming in?! I could have spent the 20mins I waited in the lobby going somewhere else. On top of that have to deal with the rudest man working counter! It was just going to kill him to explain why they can't put in new bulbs I bought in just a harsh "NO!" Then I tried to come in today to give them another shot and the women at the counter says it's going to take double the time the previous man told me just to get my oil changed. I would just stay away from this location. Which is a shame because it's the one closest to me. But I rather pay double the price somewhere else and get good customer service. The only person that I talked to that was nice here was the actual store manager Johnny he was the person I originally talked to on the phone and unfortunately he left not long after I arrived. He should really reevaluate his staff the store will lose a lot of business because of them. At least one of the mechanics was nice enough to explain why they couldn't change my bulbs and that agreed the guy at the counter at the time needs to work on his customer service skills. read more

I understand that some mechanics aren't the most talkative people in the world, that's why they work on cars, but they could work on their communication with each other, and with the customer. There was a mix up on what was to be done with my vehicle, probably because I had to tell 3 different people, but you think it would've been typed somewhere...anywho, when the problem was discovered, she made us feel like it was our fault. My husband took his car here for repair of a tire with a slow leak. They told him it had a nail in the sidewall and could not be repaired, and the other three tires were worn and needed to be replaced. He passed on the new tires, and, after he left he discovered that the tire no longer just had a slow leak, it would not hold air - they seemed to have damaged it further. He took the car somewhere else where they repaired the tire (the nail was in the tread, not the sidewall) and told him the other three still had some tread, they would need to be replaced before long but he still had some time. read more

Fantastic staff! Excellent customer service! I've been going there for years. I recently had a perplexing problem with my son's first car. The used car dealer we purchased the vehicle from took it to SIX different mechanics (including the GM dealer)...each one coming back saying nothing was wrong with the car. After much frustrating interaction with the used car dealer who washed his hands of the problem, I took it to my trusty Firestone. They found the problem that has been going on for two months and FIXED it!!!!!!!! I received amazing customer service from Robert, Aaron, and Leonard (and a young lady who's name I don't recall..sorry!). I learned a lot about cars because they are good at explaining things to someone who knows nothing about the topic!! Another occasion that I'll never forget is several years ago, my car stalled on Folsom Blvd, 3 blocks away from Firestone. The gentleman at the desk ran down and literally pushed my car all the way to the shop, so that I wouldn't have to pay for a tow. It was an awful hot day, and I just couldn't believe he did that! They also have always been able to get my car in at a time that is convenient for me! I highly recommend this particular Firestone to anyone in need of car maintenance/ service/ tires! I took my 08 Honda Pilot in for the timing belt, water pump and serpentine belt to be replaced. While it was in the shop they called me to let me know that my tensioner needed to be replaced as well. I informed Kyle that I would be paying with my credit card and only had a certain amount on there I could use. I let him know I would not be able to get that done at this time. He let me know it could cause damage to the new timing belt and said let me see what he could do. Since the new timing belt was already done he made it work. That was really awesome of them! I really appreciate them putting the customer first and not their profits! Kyle was very polite and professional. I came to this particular Firestone as a last resort after having a bad experience at the one on Madison and on Watt. My car's tire had a leak, and it was not an easy fix because it was near the wall of the tire, so instead of a repair, it required replacements. In both situations I had told them that this may be a defect in the tire which could be covered under warranty. It could go either way, but they chose not to cover it under warranty. Because I had first asked for a replacement under warranty, and then asked for a lower price, and then chose not to use their services when I didn't like the price, they had apparently written some bad stuff about me into the computer system as told me by the person working at this Firestone store. Aaron, the guy working at this particular store, was a decent guy. He chose to give me the tire under the warranty and told me about the other tires that probably needed replacement as well and offered them at a very good discount. I decided to go with two tire replacements at a decent price and great service. Overall, since I was just doing this for a family member who had Firestone tires, I would not buy new Firestone tires primarily based on my experiences at the Watt and Madison stores and because there are places with less expensive tires and better warranties. But if I had Firestone tires, I would take it to this particular one at Rancho Cordova since it provided much better service than the other nearby Firestone stores. read more

I dropped off my vehicle to this location on Sat late afternoon. My power steering was not working, I understand they needed to keep my car to diagnose and repair and that is fine. Next day they contacted us and advised needed a new power steering pump and would cost $1200. A couple days after firestone advised us they could not find the part and did not have the tools to do the repair and could not fix it. Odd but understandable, We had the towed to another shop for repairs, turns out pump was ok and hose was loose but mechanic at new shop noticed something with the car. There was damages to the leather seats and carpet by rodents and the car was covered in plastic paper both seats and floor. We immediately contacted store and advised and all they kept repeating is the cars are locked and windows rolled up.. clearly mine was not! "You alway make sure windows are rolled up in your storage area "confirms to me you are aware of an issue that requires windows to all be rolled up. My window was not rolled up as my husband was able to reach over and grab the garage opener before having it towed, per the manager Johnny, though they had already confirmed and advised they could not work on my car the evening before, they still rolled the window down that morning to make sure the keys were not looked in the car(FYI- my car does not lock with keys in ignition unless you are driving)I have also contacted firestone corporate. This is unacceptable. Not only do I have to take my car to pest control, I also have to repair my seats and carpet. We have used firestone in west sac for years and even opened a credit account with them. I would never go back to this location at 10407 Folsom or recommend it to anyone. read more

I came here because my new tire had a screw in it. They told me that the screw was "in a good location but angled wrong" therefore it was unable to be fixed and I would have to purchase a new tire. I took my car up the street to Les Schwab and they fixed it for free & told me it was completely repairable.
