I was nervous taking my 3.5 and 1.5 year old with me because we were going to have to wait on site but Kevin Lewis was so kind to us and made me feel very welcomed! He interacted with my kids too which any mom would be thankful for because they immediately felt more comfortable too. I had a flat tire on the highway and got there with practically no air in my tire. It was a Sunday so they were the only place I could find that was open. The guy told me they wouldn't be able to get to me for at least 3-4 hours but then managed to squeeze me in as a favor. Before even looking at the tire he tries to sell me a new one. After going outside to look at it, he came back in and said they are good year tires and the good year place is down the road, and actually pointed in the direction of the Goodyear. He then tried to sell me a brand new tire (Again without even looking to see if it was repairable) when I said I wouldn't buy a new tire because mine are only 2 months old. He said they probably wouldn't be able to patch it (again, didn't look at the tire) so what would be my plan since I wasn't buying a new one. I said can you please just look at it and see if it can be patched. He agreed to take it back and about 15 minutes later said it couldn't be patched and they would put the donut in my trunk on for a fee. I agreed to this. When I left I drove the 30 minutes closer to my home and went to a different tire center where they said it was 100% patchable and patched it for free and put it back on. This Firestone location was unwilling to help before they even started. having a flat tire is already frustrating and once they figured out I wouldn't be buying a new tire from them were very dismissive. I don't know if this is true about all Firestone's but this location is incredibly slow. Whether it be an inspection, oil change or wheel alignment...THEY ARE SLOW. While I understand that they are busy they are busy, the service time is inexcusable. I came in on a Thursday looking to make an appointment. The guy that set up my appointment was very friendly. They do have a good deal-or what I think is a good deal, idk how the deal works in practice, where you can get a lifetime of wheel alignments for $200 when one alignment costs $93. I dropped my car off at my appointment time, 11:30 am, and went back home. Around 4:30 pm I became a little worried. 5 hours and my car still wasn't done. I called to check on it and was told my car might not be ready today..... ABSURD RIGHT?! I was asked if that would be okay and responded not really. I finally get a call right before 6 that my car is ready. I am hounded repeatedly about opening a Firestone account. I have to ask for my receipt and I am not given any paperwork with details about the actual alignment. This isn't the first incident of their slowness. My boyfriend took his car here for an oil change and it took 2.5 days. Don't come here if you don't have another means of transportation. read more

When i brought the car in for 2 new front tires i had no warning lights. When they were finished replacing the tires and returned it to me there was a warning light for tire pressure. I spoke to the clerk, he got James the manager. James used a tool to scan each of the tire sensors. 3 were fine, the front drivers tire did not respond at all. I suggested that i drive it for a bit. I did for 90 minutes, starting and stopping several times. The light remained on. I returned to Firestone and James had created an invoice for $8X dollars for the sensor part and free labor. He claimed, without having removed the tire that the problem was a bad battery (on the sensor?) and that they could not have drained the battery. I suspect the technician just broke the sensor, but i cannot get in the tire to check it. He knows that Firestone is responsible which is why he offered free labor. I will not pay for damage Firestone caused. read more

I have been going to the North Chesterfield location for a few years. They have always treated me well and when I price out the costs elsewhere Firestone always comes in at or below other estimates. They are honest and do not encourage unnecessary repairs. The deals they run on tires are great and look out for the coupons! I have ONLY used this location and the staff are nice, professional, and try to know their customers. They also have a warranty on their services and work with most extended warranties. read more

Long story short, I was told to put my tire on myself because they couldn't do it and was pushed to get a card in my name because the service manager said that the systems aren't linked to look up my dad's card. If I could give a zero I would but I have to give 1 star. This place will rip you off in a heart beat and they DO NOT care. I took my car in for an inspection on January the 1st. I was supposed to get it back on January 3rd. No one ever contacted me. I contacted them on January the 6th and they told me that they attempted to call me several times on a phone number that I haven't owned in over 5 YEARS. They tell me that my car has a mess load of repairs before it will pass inspection. Note... this car is barely used - it goes to and from work each day - a total of 30 minutes tops on the road and it is a 2008 Nissan. They advised me that I would have to pay $2,500 in repairs before it could be passed. I told them to throw the fail sticker on and that I would come pick it up. About 15 minutes later, they call to tell me that "their boss" told me that I would only now have to pay $1,300 in repairs. I said no thank you and to again put the fail sticker on the car. I went to my parent's local mechanic shop and the TOTAL repair work needed on my car was $95. NEVER will I return to this shop or ANY Firestone EVER again. read more

I am writing this review on my experience. This nightmare started in st.louis the firestone on Chippewa off of hampton service in vehicle for a/c work. I pay 149 dollars for nothing.I drove my car around for about one hour and still no cool air I took it back. Then they stated that it was my compressor knowing they could not fix it d/t their schedule and me leaving out of town so I found a firestone in Virginia. I call Steve not once but twice spoke to him about the situation with my car and he stated to bring it in early sat 5/26 and they would check it out to see what is wrong. I arrived before doors open and was greeted with rudeness stating that they were book up and was not taking any more cars. I told him that Steve said that if I was here early that they would check it out. Steve arrived and was nasty stating that they r really behind and could not doing anything with my car. Still trying to work with them I ask if I could make a appt for thur my next day off, he stated NO. I left pissed because I just drove 28 miles just to get to this location I called their corporate office and file a complaint. Why I don't know but I try a different location(I am pretty sure they have talked by now from location to location) when I get there Peter stated that they would check my car out. Shopping on the web for new tires led me to this service center which had the best deal on tires compared to 3 other service centers. The staff was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The office's layout was open and spacious which is good but the sitting/waiting area seemed a bit uncomfortable. Would be great if sitting areas in car places would be more relaxing since it takes time for cars to be serviced. Fortunately I just dropped my car off and waited for them to call me back when it was time to pick it up. Overall, the staff was great... keep up the good work :-) I like this center and will be back for whatever service they provide that my car needs. read more

In the past I haven't had any issues with any firestone anywhere, but this location really rubbed me the wrong way. The whole stereotypical "mechanics will lie to you so you spend more money" really applied here for me. I went here to get new tires on my truck, I first went in to get a quote, I was told it would cost somewhere in the $600.00's. I scheduled an appointment and showed up for my tire change. After 90min of waiting the mechanic came out and gave me a speech on how I need to also purchase a tire rotation, for safety purposes and it's "standard" with putting on new tires. Long story short I felt obligated to say "yes" to purchasing this. I wish they told me this with the quote, it was at this point when I started to feel ripped off. In my head I'm going "do I really need this or am I getting jipped for more money??" Because why did they wait until the transaction of service already started to let me know this information, how important was it then? After a couple hours pass, the job is complete and I get the bill.........They left the part out where they were going to charge me almost $300.00 for labor. My original quote of no more than $700.00 was now at $1000.00. I will not be back to this Firestone. There are more trustworthy places out there. read more

They were real honest on the services provided, not quick but I was able to walk over to Kroger and get groceries while it was on the rack. Way to break the mechanic cliche. read more

I feel sorry for the poor souls that cant turn a wrench. Fortunately I can... but doing alignments and balancing tires is not something I am equipped for so I have to visit a shop. I went in for 4 tires, alignment, and state inspection. Easy and simple job. My car comes out with unbalanced tires, breaks screwed with, plugs missing on the rear drums, all valve stems missing caps, alignment off so much that my arms got tired fighting it on a 2 hour trip, headlights adjusted, and over torqued lug nuts(more on this later). During the trip I called them about the out of balance tires and alignment. They told me to bring it back that afternoon(Props on this) to get it fixed. Which was done, and I am fine with the results of those two items. Minus the valve stem caps disappearing. Fast forward two weeks. I wanted to run the rear tires up front to make sure they were in balance. Noticed some vibration in the rear. After work I rotated the tires; every lug was over torqued. Had trouble with a 3ft breaker bar getting them off. How in the world does anyone expect to change a tire on the side of the road with lugs that tight? On the last tire, one lug sheared off. Which left me with a late night run to the auto parts store, pulling the hub/break off the car, pressing in/out the lugs, and reassembling everything late on a cold night. Time to invest in some more equipment. Sucks you cant trust anyone these days. I knew the guy doing the work from a work relation my girlfriend has. read more

I went in and the clerk was pressuring me to apply for their credit card I said No. The front desk clerk comes to see me 30 minutes later saying my rear left tire is bald and the rear right has "bumps" in it and they highly recommend to get 2 new tires. I refused the service because I know my tires are good. The guy kept pressuring me saying it will be dangerous for me when it rains and caught a attitude because I wouldn't get the work done. Took my car in today to replace 4 old tires and the customer care was top notch from the initial phone conversation when I spoke to BrantAnd after arriving he took the time to show me what the tire looked liked that I had selected. Service was fast and Mark, Steven and Stephen were all a breath of fresh air to speak with! Tires are thee most important component of your care for safety, wear and tear and braking reasons!!! I typically don't have any issues with Firestone. I go there to do all my mechanical work for my car. However the last 3 weeks they have been giving me nothing but the run around. I called and tried to make an appointment to get my state inspection. They told me to come in the am and I could get it done. I came at 9:15 on a Sunday (they open at 9) and of course he said they couldn't fit me in. I told him that they advised me to come when they open and they would get it done. He said his inspector is overwhelmed and couldn't do any more cars. How does such a large business only have ONE inspector for the entire business? He told me there are more and more cars on the road every year and that's just that. Wow rude!! I was so frustrated because every weekend they tell me to go here and everywhere and I have yet to get my car inspected. On top of that the guy was super rude. If you want a car done properly and don't have an excellent mechanic, this is the place to go. John is the General Manger and has been there as long as I can remember. Lifetime front end alignment is the smartest thing as person can do if you are going to own it for a lengthy period of time. Good work on inspections. I got TERRIBLE service at this store. They did not put ANY lubricants on my breaks and break pads. When I came back complaining that there was something wrong with the breaks, the manager made me feel incompetent because I had been in the store 3 times within 6 months. I was also told that they did NOT need to fix the rotors in my car and I ended up spending $150 on something completely unnecessary. They also claimed they did a "courtesy check" on my car, but I had to change my oil myself because they did not check the oil at all. I am convinced they did not check anything else on my car. I will never go to ANY Firestone now. You have lost my service forever. read more

Don't take your car here for state inspections. I've had black reflectors for 3 years now, never been an issue with inspection. I waited for 2 hours and they rejected me when my sticker wasn't even out of date, and then proceeded to tell me that I needed new reflectors for $40 a piece. Money hungry in my opinion, they will look for the slightest thing that's wrong with your car. read more

Thank you Firestone! Had the oil changed here for my last service and the mechanic over torqued the drain plug making it difficult if not impossible to remove for my DIY oil change. I brought back my Subaru and spoke to the manager who had it looked at by one of his mechanics as soon as I got there. Worst Service Ever!!!!!! Waited 4 hours to repair 1 flat tire. So I woke up this morning with a flat tire, put the spare on and drove to Firestone to get it fixed. Told Brent, the guy who was checking customer in that there was a nail in my tire and I would need a plug. He said ok, I could leave the car there. I'm front out of state and didn't have any means of transportation so I asked how long? He couldn't give me an est time, only said some time today. It's 12 noon, I asked what time do they closed, he said 5p. I ask if I leave the tire there and they can call me when the tire is ready. He obliged. 2.5hrs later NO CALL, I call to follow up and he said he's going to take care of me now. So I drive back to Firestone, there's one customer sitting in the waiting area, they take me keys, clock me in @ 2:38p. I sit, patiently waiting, an hour and 15mins goes by and I'm still sitting waiting for a tire to get plug!!!!!!!!!!!!! They wasn't done with my car until 3:47p. Almost 4 hours to change a flat tire!!!!!! Not one time did I complain. Geico is affiliated and recommended Firestone however, As someone who travels for work,, I would not recommend anyone to get work done with this company.
