It's so unfortunate having inconsistent service. A couple weeks ago I purchased 4 new tires, spending upwards of $1500. I had a great experience. After picking up my vehicle, the following day I had a "tire pressure low" warning. So I called Firestone and was told I didn't need an appointment and to just stop in when I had time. I also checked the pressure on all 4 tires and not only were all 4 a different PSI, but none of them were even close to the manufacturer recommendation. I ended up stopping in and was told it would be a 3 hour wait, for a patch repair. I explained the conversation I had previously with them, explained about the pressure readings, etc. and was told "it's possible you have a nail, there's so much construction". I hate being spoken to like I'm a complete idiot by someone that's barely graduated high school. I told him I wasn't waiting 3 hours and requested an appointment. The next available was Sunday (it's Friday), at 9am. I took the appointment and asked how long it would be. He said about an hour. To which I inquired about the duration, as that felt excessive. He proceeded to tell me that it all depends on how many walk ins they get. You see my confusion now, as I'm making an appointment, why would walk ins impact me at all? I asked him this, to which he tells me "we prioritize appointments but you never know, so we recommend you call before coming in". To end the visit, I confirmed that "I'm making an appointment, but I need to call an hour before to confirm that when I come in for my APPOINTMENT, that I won't be waiting around forever because walk ins have become a priority". I came in for an oil change. They told me I needed bushings replaced for $1948.78 and brake rotors replaced for $586.97. I recalled that the brakes had been replaced within the last year and checked the paperwork when I got home. Thank goodness I got suspicious when the brakes were mentioned and I didn't get the work done! I went to a REPUTABLE and HONEST shop today. They looked at the two issues and said that they did not need to be repaired. I showed them the written quotes and they were shocked!! This Firestone shop was intending to take me for $2500 of work that did not need to be done. Beware of this place! I suggest you go elsewhere. I was lucky that I got suspicious. This has to be the worst tire change job ever! They scratched both my rims on the two tires i had changed taking the weights off. I have had tires changed before and not a scratch. If you call to make an appointment be prepared for a long wait, when you take your vehicle in for the appointment be prepared to wait, if your car is supposed to be ready in 2 hours, be prepared to wait even longer. This place needs a management overhaul. Bottom line, if you don't have enough employees to do the job then close your doors. But more importantly don't make promises that you can't deliver. There aren't enough workers in the garage. Then, the garage worker come into the front office to answer phones and wait on customers yet there is no place to park in the lot. Again, management needs to review this place!!!! I will say that the person working the front was outstanding. He was great on multi tasking. Bottom line, this location needs workers! read more

Would rate lower than 1 star if possible. This location has really morally questionable ethics. I spoke with them about getting my spark plugs changed as I already knew what was wrong with my vehicle and just needed the basic service completed. The sales women said they would come to me before any charges happen (I was waiting in the lobby) which was a complete lie because the next time anyone spoke with me they were asking for $140 for a diagnostic which I never authorized.. I will be calling for a refund tomorrow when they open back up or proceeding with a charge back on my credit card because that's SHOCKINGLY dishonest to say one thing and complete do another. My son went in with a leak in a tire that only had 29k miles on it to have it patched...they told him since he used Slime in it a week ago he needs a new tire because they'd have to "grind" out the dried slime. Told him he'd need a new tire and since he was about to leave town for the weekend, spent $360 on a new tire. He told them he wanted the old tire and said when he went to pick it up the Slime was like liquid. So moral of the story 1. Don't go here 2. Do not take your car here. The service is terrible. They kept my car overnight and didn't even complete the service. I made an appointment for a simple oil change, tire rotation and to replace the windshield wipers. When I checked out the summary report said that everything was completed yet they didn't replace my windshield wipers and my car still had the service check light on. I've been a Firestone customer exclusively for my last two Dodge Chargers. I live in Riverview, so I was happy to have this place nearby. I got new tires from them. They installed them using my wheel lock. When I picked up the car, I checked for my wheel lock (because it's a pain to lose those) and they couldn't find it. The manager said he'd order a set and they'd call me to pick up. I never got the call. I got flat tires due to nails on the road. Took the car in. They gave me trouble because I didn't have the lock. I had to explain the previous events. The guy confirmed the notes in his system. They fixed the tires. However one of them start leaking air. Each week I had to fill that tire. Eventually I took the car back in. I explained all these events to Chad. I requested to be given the wheel lock set that I was promised by the store manager and he said that wasn't available. That I had to go get it from the dealer myself (not what the store manager promised). Chad responded to everything in an inexplicably defensive manner. No attempt to help, but rather to brush me off, get me to just drop off the car and be done with me. But not before he tried to convince me that I needed to buy a brand new battery. He didn't even check to see that the last battery I bought from this very Firestone had a warranty in effect! There was no attempt by Chad to do right by me. That was extremely disappointing, considering that he could clearly see in his system that I'm a long-time customer. I got Chad to agree to have his manager give me a call when he was in next. He said he would do that AND that if the manager couldn't, HE'd be giving me an update himself that day. I never got a call. Not from the manager. Not from Chad. What DID happen was that when I went outside to show Chad which tire kept getting flat, I realized that there were no longer wheel locks on my car. They'd been replaced by regular lug nuts on all my wheels! And nobody told me about this being done when I last brought it in for service. I may not live in a risky part of town, but I think removing a security feature from a car should at least require a notification before doing it? Even though it is much farther away, I'm considering giving my business to Brandon Firestone, all thanks to the lack of attention and care I've received at this location from Chad and his manager. I will give credit to Gee, though. He clearly noticed how unhelpful Chad was being and when Chad handed me off to him, he treated me extra nice. The first time i called there was practically no wait time to speak with someone and book an appointment, the entire phone call was two minutes. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I purchased a car for my daughter with extended warranty and I was recommended the Firestone location on big bend in Riverview. My daughter brought in her car to service the car a when she first got it. She walked out with 4 new tires plus warranty over$1k. No problem with that. I went with her to service one of the tires that it was losing air pressure. I was SHOCKED when the worker told her she needed new tires in the front. I questioned how could this be. He stated you never rotated them so they are no good. Another $500. We bring it ONLY to that establishment and they have kept it for days at one point stating that the mechanic working on her car "didn't know what he was doing " this is their statement. I called corporate and explained what had just happened. Man on the phone I think his name was Javier made a statement " well it's common knowledge " REALLY we bring it to your location for over a year you think they would remind consumers or at least inspect the TIRES WHILE IT'S UP ON LIFT AND suggest to clients what needs to be done. Unfortunately terrible customer treatment when I had my tire replaced on Tuesday. Dropped it off before noon, they called and we confirmed that they would replace the tire, selected a tire and everything. Brandon then called and transparently let me know that they did not have the tire I chose, so I started calling around for other tire shops that could replace mine same day which was necessary. During this, Brandon called me back and let me know that someone had picked up the tire, and we were actually good to go same day. I think that was just an understandable mixup and I appreciated Brandon's transparency. The issue is that we reached 6:45, 15 minutes until I believed they closed, and no one had called to let me know my car was ready. I called the store multiple times and was left on hold, then someone would pick up the phone and hang up without a word. On my 4th call, manager Chad finally introduced himself and let me know they were closed for a national meeting. I am not usually picky about tone, but the tone very much came across as "we're obviously closed dumbass." I let him know that picking up my car the same day was urgent and the team should have known this and called me if my car was ready (which mind you still hadn't been confirmed yet!). At this point he goes "well it's 5 minutes until 7 so I don't know what you want me to tell you." I told him good thing I live 4 minutes down the road, he said "Ok." and hung up on me. I immediately called back and said "you never even confirmed who you were speaking to much less if my car was ready." He responds "Your name is Lukas Montgomery. Your phone number is xxxxxxxxxx. Your car is an X X. It's ready." And hung up, again. Extremely poor customer service from Mr Chad here. I called because I needed my vehicle back and while it turned out it was ready, no one let me know, and his concern should have been resolving that by simply letting me know my car was ready the first time and apologizing for his team not informing me earlier. We bought four new tires for my car to years ago. I got a nail or something in my tire and it was flat. The tire was still under warranty and we brought it in to have it repaired. They took the tire kept it for 24 hours and when my husband was pulling into the parking lot to pick it up, they called him to let him know they couldn't fix the tire. Its tread was too worn. I am a housewife and I don't drive outside of town. I put less than 5000 miles per year on my car. How can the tread be worn, and the tire looks terrific almost like a new tire. It was giving me trouble after only 4mos and it was the closet place open at 6pm for a possibly warranty claim. I spoke to Anthony on the phone and he said I would need to leave my vehicle here overnight and I told him I could not don't have any options for work in morning. Too short notice for a rental car. Anyways I said after testing it at O'Reilly and getting a bad battery reading I wanted to have them test it as a Interstate retailer and place of purchase. So I drove over in that last hour expecting to have to have to hope for a change out in the morning. The starter in my car died a month or so back. So I had it in the garage until I could get the money to fix it. I called Firestone and asked it I could have it towed there for repair. They said yes. I asked if an appointment was necessary they said no. But it would take a couple days to get to it. This was Wednesday. I said no worries, I just need it back in a week. Towed the car there by 11am. I stopped by on Saturday. Nothing done. They said they'd pull it in to start work that day. Ok. Called Monday. Nothing done not even inspection, but they would pull it in that day to start work. I said thats the same thing they said last time. He said he'd talk to tech and call back. 30 min later got a call from technician. He said take it to the dealership because the car was dead and there's no way to diagnose it. Ummmmm. The tow truck guy was able to boost the battery and take a look and even get it on the bed when I needed to bring it in. They had the car for a total of 6 days just to tell me that send it to a dealership. Called the tow truck AGAIN and had the car taken to another shop nearby, and they've diagnosed that I needed a new starter , shocks, 2 tires and a battery. They figured that out the same day! No appointment. You mean Firestone couldn't figure that out in the 6 days they had my car? Anyway my car is scheduled to be picked up from the shop on Thursday instead of tomorrow since there's a storm coming. That's a total of 3 days of work. I got a flat tire Saturday night. Early Sunday morning I set out to get my tire replaced. It was imperative that I get a new tire because I am a professional magician and was scheduled to do a show in Sarasota Sunday afternoon. I drove around on my donut for 3 hours and visited 7 different tire shops in Brandon and Plant City. Every place I went to was too busy or didn't have a tire that fit my car. I finally landed at Firestone on Big Bend Rd. in Riverview. As soon as I walked in, Chad put me at ease and told me he would be able to replace my tire. He was very courteous and professional. Update: Two extra stars because the night service tech pulled through and I felt like he did everything to make it right. Communication between staff needs a massive overhaul as no one knows what is going on. Absolutely horrible. Called a night prior inquiring about a tire that had to be replaced the next day due to a trip coming up. They told me they will order it and it would be done by end of day the following day. I wake up early and drop my car off at 0700 when they open because the guy told me "the earlier the better." -- I heard nothing from them all day -- and call an hour before closing where they tell me "if it's on the board, it'll get done today." Well, an hour later they inform me that no one actually went to get the tire?? How does 12 hours go by and no one realized that the freaking tire was not there?? The guy who "gave me the bad news" at least sounded apologetic and embarrassed for his store. I go into this location, which I have been to multiple times before, for a flat tire. I wait 1-2 hours and then I am told that my tire is not repairable with the nail too close to side wall and firestone policy does not allow repair due to safety issues, eye roll here. I go to a small non corporate place and I find out that the nail is nowhere near sidewall and the red mark they made on tire is not even where the nail was I have enclosed pictures the white mark in pictures is from other place. What to conclude? Firestone lied to me to try and get me to pay more money by buying a new tire because I can't believe that they are too incompetent to not know the location of a nail. Called and let them know that now that would need to be fixed. Took it in and waited an hour for them to get me in the bay. The guy was just going to do the ABS brake flush and id told him about the leak and explained that id already told the manager. He looked at the leak and yelled for manager LOL what the heck but ok. They had their little pow wow and said they would have to take the part off and send it off to Amazon Hose which would take about 5 days....hun? 5 days. I called Amazon Hose and they told me to bring it down and they could get it done in a few minutes. So I'd told the manager this and he could get the part off I would find a way to Amazon Hose and bring it back. Then they bring me my keys and I was what I need the part not my keys. Miss communication then manager says he can not install customers parts. Okay then take the part off and you go to Amazon Hose. No they couldn't do that so in the end they gave me my money back and sent me on my way. Okay that just happened. I would of given 1 star but they gave me my money back so 2 stars. Appt or no Appt - doesn't matter. Had an Appt yesterday. Dropped vehicle and went and had lunch. When I returned car hadn't been moved!! They apologized for the delay - short staffed. 2 tires & alignment took 3.5 hours! Ridiculous. WORSE - the steering wheel is now 60-degrees off. 12 o'clock on wheel is now at 10 o'clock which is irritating but since so many buttons are located on steering wheel it's unacceptable . . . and then, just for fun, vehicle pulls hard to the right if going over 40 . . . So back to Firestone 2nd day in a row. Sam told me make sure I'm here by 4:00. I asked for 5:30 so I didn't have to leave work early. Told them that IF I must be here at 4:00 then I'd have to return to work - - made it by 4!! AGAIN they didn't start working on the car until 5:20!! So why did I have to leave work early and arrive at 4!? Why could I arrive at 5:30 as requested??! Could have worked another hour. I called ahead and the gentleman told me I could come over and they'd check my tire immediately (as opposed to a 40-60 min wait just for an assessment with GY). Chad honored what he told me on the phone and checked me out immediately. He wrote up my order which included an oil change and patched tire. I was out in the quoted time and for was actually given a price ahead of service which was reasonable. I went in for the lifetime alignment sale of 159. When I walked in he said it was 179, I told him I just called on the phone early in the morning and it was 159, so he looked it up and it was 159 miraculously! Then when I got my car back he tells me my power steering was leaking, when it was not leaking when I brought it in originally. After I drove away I discovered I did not have any power steering at all, or even when I pulled out of the spot. The technician cranked down on my inner tire rod ends and broke the seals in the steering rack. Resulting in fluid pouring out of both sides of the steering rack. Also failed to put the safety pin to keep it from loosening. Which should be done instead of tightening it down too far. So not only did they charge me $159, they also charged an extra $90 to make my car worse than it was originally, and then they have the gall to staple a $600 estimate to fix the steering rack to the back of the receipt read more

I have so had enough with this place. A month or so ago I came in for new tires. I was told 1 1/2 hours including the time it would take to have a tire or two brought from another location. I decided to wait onsite and went to a restaurant next door for lunch. Came back an hour later and my car is still in the parking lot. Another hour, still in the lot. FOUR HOURS LATER, after much complaining on my behalf, they finally - and slowly - replaced the tires on my car. I watched them take their sweet time, talking and wandering around the shop, as if they didn't give a crap that I'd wasted more than half a day already. After 4 1/2 hours, they were finally done. UNACCEPTABLE. Today, I had a 2:00 appointment for an oil change. I again spent an hour having lunch next door. One hour and 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and my car is still in the parking lot. Again, I have to ask someone why I'm still waiting. He says they'll get right to it. Now 25 minutes later and my car is on the lift but no one is even working on it. Don't waste your time and money here unless you enjoy wasting hours getting simple repairs and maintenance done. Update: 2 hours and 15 minutes later I'm finally checking out and the phone rings. Instead of asking the person to hold for one minute until we're done, he stops checking me out to help them. Really? When I brought it to their attention, they first didn't believe me so I had to show them. Lousy service.. First person at their door this morning with a flat front tire on service vehicle, i work a Mac Dill and had all my service cars brought here for maintenance service 8 years. The guy told me around 12:00, no calls. I call at 15:30 and the guy says I'm the next one on rack no calls. I call back at 17:30 and another guy says your next on rack, so I say hey I called at 15:30 and the guy said that. So this guy goes off in smart-ass way and tells me it wasn't him that told me that, I said hey I was latterly your first customer this morning g with two to three cars in parking lot one was mine and I am a recurring customer for years...so he goes off your next one on rack. Time is 19:25 no courtesy call or nothing...im done with Firestone on big bend riverview Fl. The service has gone to hell. Worst service and won't put up with i bring in a lot of our fleet vehicles. I had purchased a tire via Tire buyer and had it shipped to this location free of charge. It arrived the same day I ordered it , called and made an appointment to have tire installed.
