My husband took my car in on 10/22/20 and was told we needed almost $1600 worth of service including the getting the brakes done which we put on our Firestone account. One week later my car started grinding when stepping on the brakes. The tech forgot to put a brake pad on. Took it back to Firestone and they said it was fixed. One week later all of my ABS Brakes, ASC Brake service required, and check engine light all came on. Took it back to Firestone and they kept it thru til the next day. Then the manager tells my husband the techs have done all they can do and that I need to take it to the dealership. This is ridiculous. I had no problems or warning lights whatsoever until I took my car here. I will never recommend Firestone to anyone ever again, nor will I ever take my car to any Firestone for anything. When the manager was asked if my car was safe to drive he said "It should be. The brakes seem to be working." This is my family car that I drive my children in. I do not have unlimited liquid assets to take my car to different mechanics to get fixed what Firestone broke nor should I have to. I am honestly thinking of filing a complaint with BBB and a lawsuit. Also I had a trip planned to pick up my children in Southern California and now I had to cancel my trip until I am able to rent a vehicle since mine is not safe. read more

I have a family mechanic that I go to go big big jobs but it takes more than a week on his time. So I go to this firestone for quick/routine maintenance. They always do an excellent job. For the people complaining about their car taking two hours--you are not the only customer they are assisting (I am sorry that compassion, understanding, and empathy are crazy concepts for you). This place is filled with workers who are friendly and genuine about their work. I came in once just to get some air in my tires and they were quick with their service and nice about it too. I came in recently for a tire rotation but then they showed me my cabin air filter and it was gross LOL! So we got that changed and a bunch of other stuff, too. The rotation was only $20 so it's not that bad! I came around 4 and got done with everything before they closed. The wait wasn't that bad since they have a TV and wifi. The waiting area is clean so that's a plus. I'd come here again for my next rotation! read more

Assistant is not a people person. Head guy gave his word and quote on price but assistant said she would not honor. My back was up against the wall and my car held captive. So many other things wrong too. I also observed that more than 50% of other customers were being treated wrong also. What a shame! At this store, they only care about the money, not the service to the customer. Do Not waste your time or money where the service is crapping and their word is no good. I took my car in for an alignment and this lady was so rude when I was giving my phone number to her and she say slow down your ahead of me in a aggressive manner tone. And when she told me to cancel my email address because it didn't show up correctly so then I pressed the cancel button but then proceed with a signature and I accidently signed for it and she tried to blame it on me and roll her eyes very disrespectful! I asked to cancel a service if the technician has not started on the vehicle but they told me the technician has already begun the service and will take 20 more minutes to complete.. 5 minutes later I saw my car being worked on for the service I wanted to cancel. I am just beyond thankful right now. The service that I got today was literally over and beyond. I came in and needed a tire replaced on my rental car. Getting the tire approved by the rental company was a struggle. It was leading towards me having to wait until tomorrow to get the right tire delivered. I was so stressed because of the inconvenience of work and other things. I'm so appreciative because Misty and Javier did everything to get one delivered today. It was crunch time. Tire literally got delivered last minute and they made sure it got put on so I was able to drive off today! I really felt like they really cared and understood so I didn't feel alone. At one moment I was so overwhelmed with stress I tried to hide it. They probably don't even know in that moment how they helped me through that by just being genuinely there. I had a surprise car issue this morning - my car was overheating after having the radiator and water pump replaced a few months earlier - and was really impressed that this shop got me in on a super-busy day. One thing that really struck me was listening to the conversations the employees had with other customers. The manager, Ken, was amazing! He took the time to explain repairs and recommendations with each customer, answered questions, and even went over a lengthy repair list with a first-time car owner explaining that her car didn't have a bluebook value which warranted some of the repairs that were suggested. He went through each item and even gave her advice on what to do and what she shouldn't really invest in because her car was almost to the end if its lifespan. If this shop was just out to make money, they'd have up-sold her on everything. Really impressed! Kudos to Kristen, as well, who helped me knowing they really didn't have a spot for me in their full schedule. She helped keep me in the loop on the status of my car, and I appreciated that so much as she had tons of other customers to look after. She even recognized several customers by name! I know, going to a car repair shop is not the best experience for a lot of people...but this store really went above and beyond for their customers!!! read more

I created an appointment for the next available time for me, which was 1 week, and I chose my tires and everything online and made an appointment. 1 week later I arrive at my appointment, and they tell me they don't have my tires and won't be able to get them until tomorrow, okay...what was the point of me making an appointment a week out for them to tell me they don't have my tires. So next day I come back, and I inform them to swap out one of my wheels which was damage with another one I provided, told them it was in the trunk. They acknowledge no problem, we can swap those. I arrive back to the shop and ask them if swapped out the damage wheel with my replacement, said yes. Then I thought to check the trunk to see if they replaced it. No, they did not. Went back and told them they didn't do that. There was no apology, but they took 30 mins to replace just 1 tire. NOW, the real reason I wrote this review. I started driving back and was happy I got new tires. But whomever the technician/mechanic that was driving my car did not wash their hands. Left oily residue on my steering wheel. I'm writing this after I arrived home with oily, dirty hands from the steering wheel. Also, I had a glove on my shift knob because it's metal and black, so I use the glove not to burn my hand shifting, they removed that, and now the shift knob is oily too! WOOHOO! Paid almost 1k for all this, but likely won't come back to this location. Just frustrating first experience with them, likely last. read more

I purchased a 6 year guarantee battery from this place about two and a half years ago since day one I have had horrible experience with the battery my car cannot even sent for 2 days and then I have to get a jump!! I have been up there 2 x and was always told nothing is wrong with the battery. That's because I get it jumped it charges by time I get to their store the battery is charged last time I was in there I just ask them can you just give me another battery and I was told no!! I've had problems with the tires I bought here and the only solution they could give me was to have the tires replaced. When I told the guy my problem all he was focusing on was that I needed an oil change. Why would I have you change my oil if you can't even fix my tire? When I got my car back... the car had all these grease smudges from the technician that drove my car. Not coming back here!!! The waiting room is so hot and sunny. One of the only tire places around open on Sunday and they have a good selection of tires on site. Facility was clean. Employees were friendly, but inconsistent with masks. The person who replaced my tire did not offer to check pressure on the spare in my trunk. I could have asked, but he should have offered. Make an appointment if you can. It makes me sad to have to write a negative update but I think it's important to point out trouble so others can avoid having a problem. I felt good about this business as you can see by my previous review, but after the fact I learned that not only did this tire specialty place not notice that the tires I had on my vehicle were wrong, but when they gave me a replacement, they did it with an even lower weight rated one that did not match the others. That's not good. It probably wasn't dangerous, unless I drove say from Sacramento to Los Angeles over the speed limit as is usually the case (unless you want to get run over by other traffic), but it would cause uneven wear and result in earlier failure and a need to replace the tire(s). I'm thinking if a place is pleasant and clean and fast, does all that really matter if the job isn't done right? I'm still giving them 2 stars and not 1 because they did notice and tell me about the definitely dangerous brake fluid leak. read more

I was trying to get a tire for my Mitsubishi. Unfortunately, for these cards you have to get a very special tire. I had called two other Firestone locations and they did not have my tire in stock but we're supposed to order them. After over a month of waiting I decided to go to this location on Stockton boulevard. they were able to set me up, we're so personable and friendly but I ended up replacing all four tires instead of the one. In fact, they let me know that one of my wheels was cracked on several sides brought it to me and provided me pictures to keep. The manager, Ken Thrasher, went above and beyond to make sure that I got the correct wheel on the car which is very difficult to find, being a Mitsubishi. The energy in that location is positive, filled with a great sense of humor, and goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. Sacramento knows this and that's why a lot of people are always going to this location. Shawn Grosvenor and Kristen Kloss, as well as the manager were all a delight. I personally saw Ken Thrasher make multiple rounds, checking in on guests and orders. Firestone should be proud of this crew. I won't go anywhere else now. read more

Called in advance to make an appointment, stuck around all day in the area in order to make it. Got to the location and they are "closed" due to a potential COVID outbreak. Didn't bother to call anyone, didn't attempt to reschedule at a different location, just left all of us hanging. I wasted half a day in the area to make that appointment, and then got there to a note on the door. This is the 21st century, there are ways to notify your customers. Called the Elk Grove location, they said they wouldn't be able to allow someone in that location to view the appointments to notify people of the appointment...but they were able to look up my appointment, look up my contact information, and see what tires I was going to order. My fiancé and I Went to purchase new tires at the location on Stockton Blvd arriving at 5:00 p.m. The hours listed online show that they are open until 6. However when we arrived we were told that we could not be assisted because they are closed. Asked the girl why does it say 6 online and we were rudely advised that they close between 5 and 6?! If that is the case it should be listed online that they close at 5 so that customers don't waist their time. There are plenty of people wishing they were employed during this time, if its a bothersome to assist people professionally and with courtesy maybe she as well as this corporation should reconsider her position. BUYER BEWARE- AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS Went in to get an oil change, took them 4 hours to do it. Then they said they had found a nail in my tire and that I should patch it ($30). When I went to drive away, I noticed my tire pressure light was on. They turned it off and I drove away. The next day (Monday) my tire pressure light was on. Tuesday morning on my way to work I had a flat tire. I took it back to have them fix it and they told me me that the same tire had somehow gotten another nail in it. They told me the odds of that happening are very rare. I didn't think about it for awhile but eventually I realized the second nail was in there the whole time, and they either missed it the first time or deliberately left it there, knowing it would bring me back. They told me they wouldn't even patch the tire again and they made me buy another tire for $100. This took them another 4 hours to do, meanwhile I was missing work. When I got my car back it reeked of cigarettes, as if someone had been smoking in the vehicle (I don't smoke). Called the manager and he claimed that no one smoked in the shop and was very unsympathetic. By the end of the week the smell was still there. This put me in a bad spot since I was trying to sell the car that week and had to postpone buyer meetings. I went to clean out the inside of the vehicle and noticed a cigarette butt right underneath the drivers floor mat. Not only did they screw me over with my tire, but they also left my car smelling like their ashtray. They will offer you some shitty gas station coffee that they keep telling you is really good for some reason. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere with actual integrity behind their work instead of this shady place. read more
