When one calls to set an "appointment ", one would expect that the set "appointment " would be followed. NOT the case here at FIrestone. This is the 3rd time I have set an "appointment " and have been burned by these folks. You might ask why I would be taken advantage of 3 times? Well, I've been coming to Firestone for over 25 years (different locations across the country). As a small business owner, I work very hard to create reasons for my clients to be loyal to my business so they keep coming back. But when is loyalty NOT enough? When is enough be the line in the sand and say "I'm done". I can't figure if they are under staffed (due to the low unemployment rate here in SA) or it is time mis-management. If you looked at this review by what I have said thus far, you might wonder why I gave it 2 stars rather than 0 stars. Here's why: the store manager and service advisors are nice, knowledgeable, professional and welcoming when you come into the store. The work the technicians do has always been completed correctly. Those 2 reasons alone earn 5 stars. But the overall experience brings it to a 2 star rating. Even on a Saturday when I may have more time to wait, taking 1.5 hours to perform an oil change and tire rotation is unacceptable. Having an appointment and having to endure an 1.5 hour wait is even more unacceptable. My recommendation is 2 fold:: 1 - if you need extensive repairs and have to drop off, I'm sure this is e place to come. 2 - if you have extended time to sit and wait, this is the place to come. The service is terrible. I waited 2 1/2 hours just to get an oil change. Other customers that came in after I had been waiting had their service and left. I finally left to another place. i wasted 2 1/2 hours out if my day. Never again will I go there. read more

I had an appointment today for a basic oil change. I made this appointment last week. I showed up fifteen minutes early and they were busy. I was asked if I was dropping off or if I was going to wait. I told the advisor I would wait and he said it would be one hour and forty-five minute to a good two hour wait. This place was recommended to me to patch my tire after the hole had been found and I had been told it was patchable. I took it here and the lady at the front was not inviting or nice and told me I'd have to wait an hour before they could even look at my tire even though the hole had already been marked and found. After an hour and a half they came back and said that they weren't able to patch it and that I need a new tire. Frustrated I left and got a second opinion somewhere else where they patched it without a problem and said it was dead center of the tire and that they didn't understand why Firestone didn't patch it. I was lied to at Firestone because they wanted to sell me a tire so now when I do need tires I will stay as far away from Firestone as possible, lying is no way to keep me as a customer. read more

My car speedometer lights were working when my husband took my car in for them to work on it and they weren't working when I picked it up. My seat didn't want to adjust like it normally does. It eventually adjusted after pushing the button and I've never had any problems before they worked on my car. I told them and they said it was just part of the panel going out. When it wasn't out before they worked on the car. I value honesty when someone works on my vehicle and I don't feel they where honest. They do not have the experience for reliable work read more

It was that time of year again. Needed to get my State Inspection for my auto registration. I got there a little after nine o'clock and was out in about an hour. Firestone Technician quoted that I needed brake pads and rotors all around vehicle and that 2 tires needed replacing. Rotors alone were quoted at $100 each. Total was almost $1200. Another auto repair shop said rear brakes and rotors needed replacing, but tires and front brakes have a bit of life left. I Can only believe Firestone wanted to quote unecessary services for more money. read more

I had a driver-side impact that affected the suspension of my car resulting in road noise and clanking. I had an associate ride with me and insisted he heard it coming from the passenger side. Despite me telling him that the noise I was hearing happened after the impact several times, and that I had work already done to the passenger side in the past due to alignment issues that are prevalent with my particular car model (replaced wheel bearing), he was convinced I had no clue what I was talking about. We go inside and some other guy prints out a price quote to fix - you guessed it - the passenger side wheel bearing for $400+ based on what his co-worker told him. I went and had the suspension on the driver's side fixed elsewhere and - you guessed it again - it solved the problem! If these guys had their way the idiot woman driver writing this review, who surprisingly can even operate a motor vehicle, let alone know the vehicle she has owned for 11 years and drives every day, would have blown $400+ on some nonsense repair that would never had fixed the problem I told them existed and left me back at square one. DO NOT GO HERE. I would put zero stars if I could. They will scam you especially if you're a chic. My car stalled and I brought it in for a PROPER DIAGNOSIS and they told me all I needed were coils that I paid $900 for! Only for my car to stall and break down on me the same day I picked it up. I took it back and they say my radiator is cracked and blah blah I need to $3000+ to fix it. I got a new car instead. Which is what I would have done in the first place had they told me the first time I brought it that it needed all those repairs oh but suddenly and coincidentally my car over heated. So I tried to get at least half my money back and they won't give it to me! Please please don't go here they are liars and con artist. I even took it to another mechanic for a second opinion and they even said yeah they didn't diagnose it right. I'm so mad. This is a terrible terrible rotten business. I went in to get my tires rotated. I was informed that I needed new brakes, plus new rotors. My truck didn't even have 50,000 miles on it. I took it to Toyota, where they SHOWED me that my rotors were plenty thick, and only needed to be turned. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location. I have had problems in the past with them, but elected to try and give them another shot. However, it seems that nothing has changed. read more

I've been coming to this location now for just over a year. I've got a MINI Cooper and a Chrysler 300. Both have come in for alignments and tires. I've always received excellent work and superior customer service. I can't say enough good things about the guys who work here and the work they do. This is the third time I've been to the location in less than 24 hours. I had a coolant issue and it ended up costing me more than $600 bucks. I can deal if the system was fixed correctly the first time. I'm fine with having to bring it back because of unforeseen issues. I didn't get to have my tire replaced by them. I called ahead to make an appointment but the gentleman on the phone told me I wouldn't need one, he said It was in unnecessary. So I arrive later that day and I was told by the person on the front desk to schedule an appointment because they were all booked. Three stars only because they didn't charge me for my flat repair. First issue was that there was no record of me or my purchases in the system. I've been using Firestone for over five years. Everything tire related I've taken to them. Finally after calling the last two stores I've used and producing previous paperwork I was found. Finally hand over the keys and I ask for an estimated completion time. I was told it would take 30-45 minutes. Finally, two hours later I'm out the door. I think I'll be taking my business to Discount Tire from now on. Also, the associates like to park in the handicap spots. read more

We're from SA but being military, we are stationed different places. We leave one of our vehicles here in SA so that when we come home, we have something to get around in. Being that we haven't driven the car in a while, I decided to have the wheels aligned and oil changed. I made an appointment and brought it in. The gentleman who checked me in was prior military and very friendly. We don't like to use synthetic oil and Firestone only offers a 50/50 blend. We decided to go ahead and do it as it needed to be done and my husband wasn't with me to just do it ourselves. (I can do it, but didn't have the tools I needed) I received a call after about an hour and a half and was told the car was ready. I would have given 5 stars but when I went to pick up the car, the girl who helped me check out was not as friendly and could have been; I also didn't get an itemized invoice, just the printout of the alignment adjustments. I opted to have my receipt printed and emailed, so I did get the itemization through email. Other than that, I think the service was good and I was satisfied. read more

I had purchased a brand new set of wheels recently and was planning on purchasing the Indy 500s to pair with them due to their great reputation. I purchased one tire yesterday since I needed to have a spare for my upcoming road trips. I specifically asked at the front desk to make sure the wheel did not get damaged in the process of mounting the tire. When I got the wheel back with the tire mounted it had some minor scratches on the inside. As for the outside it had damage similar to as if you were to curb rash your wheels. I was very up front about being careful with the wheel and if they were not capable of mounting the tire without damaging I would have appreciated knowing up front. I needed to get back to work ASAP so I did not have time to inspect the wheel then. After work I noticed the damage which they did not mention when they completed the job. I also go on a trip in a couple days so I did not have time to go through some lengthy dispute. Now I know I will not be taking my business here for the other three later on. read more

Used to go to the Firestone on Lackland AFB (decent work but only the manager seemed to know anything, other employees wasted our time with unnecessary work fortunately we got a refund) but we moved and this one on Culebra is closer. Happy with the store: easy to make an appointment, employees are upfront about car issues and cost, waiting area is clean (tv provided), free WiFi, located near shopping however you'd have to cross a very busy 4 lane street... Could be a decent time-killer. Recently took my car in for state inspections however they usually don't start until 8am (an hr after opening). I was going to wait but they took my car back and were able to complete it. Really nice of them, I told them I had called the night before and asked about inspections and the employee didn't mention the starting time so I figured it was when the store opened (this is why you ask for names, to prove you spoke to someone!). Overall, happy with this location - been here a handful of times between 2 cars. read more

Where to begin? We walked into the door around 0730 (opening hour is 0700); we were seen by staff, but we were neither acknowledged nor helped. When we finally received customer service, they stated that we wouldn't be seen until between 0830-0900 because their mechanics wouldn't be in until around that time. So no definitive time, but timeframe because apparently the mechanics show up whenever they feel and do not accommodate for an early shift. What's the point of opening at 0700 if the pertinent personnel for servicing vehicles is not available? read more
