I had been a loyal customer of Firestone since moving to AZ in 2018. Brakes, alignments, rotations, oil changes, AC replacement; my wife and I would take our cars to Firestone and up until recently we always had good experiences. They're usually quick and affordable, however, this instance took 12 days to replace a coolant housing. --On 04/23 I brought my car in at 5:13PM when the temp coolant housing cracked and leaked coolant, overheating the engine. Firestone let me know that they would get to it in the morning, Saturday. Service writer was Jordan. He called an hour later letting me know it would be $50 to even look at it. --On 04/24 they called me letting me know they will order the parts and will receive them Saturday morning to complete by Saturday. Technician was Marcus. Quote was $749 for the housing and then $129 to flush the coolant fluid. --On 04/25 they called me letting me know they received the housing, but was missing a part. They'll order from Kia Monday, receive Tuesday to complete the job. --On 04/28/26 they called letting me know they were still waiting on a part, it'll be in tomorrow. --On 04/29/26 I called, they were still waiting on the part, should be in tomorrow. --On 04/30/26 I called, still waiting on the part, should be in tomorrow. --On 05/01/26 I called, they said they were still waiting on the part. I went up to Firestone to get some things in my car I needed. They again said now they were waiting on a gasket. A manager would call me in the morning. --On 05/02/26 I went up to Firestone around 10am, spoke with Scott (store manager) who told me the engine cover was put on a workbench and "grew legs and walked away", the assumption being another tech threw it away. Scott offered 10% off the bill to cover "a day or two of a rental" and a complimentary service check should I return, stating the part would be in Monday and I could get my car back and he would call me. --On 05/04/26 I called in the evening, service told me "looks like we are still waiting on a part"... I reiterated that Scott said it would be in and the service tech said "yes, we will get the part tomorrow, Scott said if you called to let you know you'll have your car tomorrow" At this point, due to the mistake on Firestone's part, I don't feel like I should be responsible to eat the cost of finding other transportation. --On 05/05/26 I received the call that my car was ready. I picked up my car at 4:40pm. The bill shows nothing about the part they thew away, but it does show having received the gasket Thursday. Reflected in the bill is simply a 10% military service discount (amounting to $106). --On 05/05 and 05/06 I attempted to call Scott. Since picking up my car, the EPB sensor has been tripped and my parking brake, auto hold, and cruise control functions do not work. --On 05/07 I spoke with Scott, who felt the $106 to cover the cost of a day of rental and Uber up to Firestone and complimentary LOF (Lube, Oil, Filter) service was sufficient. He offered to fix the EPB sensor but my trust is non-existent at this point. My total bill came to $1,098, after the "military discount". Which was still higher than the original quoted amount, even factoring in the tax. Take from this experience what you will. I try to be thorough when it comes to negative reviews. I understand things happen. Having a part come in without all the components once is understandable for a single day delay, but an additional component is unlikely. The clean photo attached shows the engine cover they replaced, which is probably as big as my torso. Throwing out the cover to my engine is just negligence, causing a several day delay in returning my car to me with very little compensation (if any, based on the "discount" versus original quote). There are plenty of other places in Surprise to take your car, and unfortunately, I won't be using Firestone again. Rolling into Phoenix, I noticed our car running a little rough, a loss of power and the check engine light on. I stopped by an autoparts store to get the engine error code read to find out that cylinder 1 was misfiring and likely issue was the ignition coil, spark plug or fuel injection system. This Firestone was just down the road so I stopped and talked to them about the issue. I like that they were confident why they were positive the ignition coil needed replace since I had the plugs replaced last year at a Firestone in Las Vegas, and if it was an fuel injection system more cylinder would have give the misfire error. They replace the ignition coil and it solve the problem, and they saved me about $120 for diagnosis testing which was not needed. Overall, I had a great experience and was on the road again in about an hour and half. read more

LIFETIME ALIGNMENT IS BAIT AND SWITCH Lifetime alignment not worth it if they can't align a single tire after 2 years. I went to this Firestone location because I had purchased the lifetime alignment package. I had an appointment and was there for three full hours, and they were unable to perform the alignment--supposedly because the technician couldn't loosen a single bolt. However, they did manage to check my battery, belt, fluids, air filter etc, and recommend a list of additional services I never asked for. If they couldn't do the alignment, that should've been the end of it--everything else should've been put on hold. I work 62 hours a week and don't have three hours to waste on my day off. They recommended $1,800.00 of additional services but not a single tire was aligned? Come on! The only reason I came in was to get the alignment done after replacing the lower ball joint and CV drive myself. The excuse about not being able to loosen the bolts due to rust is absolute nonsense, I managed just fine with standard garage tools at home. To me, it's clear: they had no intention of honoring the lifetime alignment they focused 100% of the time looking for other things wrong im already aware of and can fix myself. Long story short they told me "my pick up needs a motorcraft fuel pump" for 500 bucks and it was 3 year warranty through the manufacturer, as I was picking up my truck I discover that they use some CHEAP off brand fuel pump and also broke one of the clips for a fuel line which they decline to repair and wanted to me pay for! At the end of 2025 I took my prelude in to get a few leaks fixed and was charged close to 1000 dollars for the replacement of 4 fluid lines and on top of that I asked about getting a new distributor to fix my oil leak to only get my car back with only a new distributor cap. still leaked, took it apart myself and found out they did not touch it. they also claimed to not be able to obtain a hard line for my car and made me find the part myself and when I asked to take my car home they refused because it was "undeliverable" Worst part is 2 days after everything was said and done one of their technicians got my personal phone number to text me about leaving his impact gun in my car. Today, January 4, 2026, I purchased four brand new tires for my 2012 Toyota Tacoma at the Firestone located at 4301 E Thomas Rd, Phoenix AZ 85018. They told me my tire light censor was broke. My son had to explain that it wasn't, and it was my spare tire on my truck. I drove down the street a few miles and the tire light came on. I went back to Firestone and spoke with Marissa. She acted like she did not want to be bothered. I explained the situation and asked how long it will take for them to check it. She said her guys were busy and walked away without answering me. I got in my truck and drove to the Firestone on 3rd Ave and Osborn. I explained the situation to Daryl and he said it would take two plus hours. I said, this is not acceptable. I just charged almost $700 for all brand-new tires, and I should feel safe. The man in the back check the tire pressure and the front left tire was very low. Well, I still do not feel safe. I have been going to this shop for years. But I have had the worst experience with them this summer. One of the tires flew off of our car that they serviced on. Good thing our family did not get hurt. And Firestone serviced our car by replacing our brakes and caliper on our last service . When we brought it to them they denied our claim stating that we had too many miles since it's last oil change. I've spoken to other mechanics and they said even if we had 10000 miles on the car if it was under torqued it would of not flew off. So they would not pay for the damages. Because of this I will not come back to them again. I thought they stand by their quality service but now they try to get out of it and won't own up to the mess they did. Last year, in the month of October, I bought 4 tires. I calculate that I put 20,000 miles on it yesterday when I was returning from the city of San Diego on the 8th, one of my tires exploded, almost causing me to lose control and crash into a trailer that was about to next to me today when I took it to the workshop they told me that I have to pay for a service that I paid the amount of 1000 dlls for 4 tires and the setting according to having a guarantee for anything that happened to it now it turns out that they are charging me for intakarka and Not wanting to replace the others, I told them that I had an accident before in which I almost lost my arm and in which my 11-year-old son died for the same reason due to a defective tire. To file a complaint with the continental tire company, they explained to me that normally when a tire is defective, it is possible that there was an error in the machines and it made many defective tires, but now they do not want to be responsible, not even for one tire. Started years ago when brought my co. car for its first oil change and they told me I needed an alignment on a brand new car... drove that car 170k miles without an alignment or issue, was told later by a ex-employee that they tell everyone they need an alignment, next I took them my Viper wheels for tire install and they said they can't do Viper wheels, took to Discount and we all laughed as it's just 18" factory wheels, then I took one of our corvettes in for a tranny fluid change and they said they don't work on high end vehicles (99 corvette)... what a joke. I have however always let them change my co. car oil because I could walk home... never again. I recently took my Chevy Colorado co. vehicle in for its first oil change... standing in front of me was a guy getting a price quote for a Buick Enclave oil change, he was quoted $78. I stepped up to pay my bill and was charged $120... that's right $120 for a 6 quart capacity 6 cyl oil change... the same GM 6 cyl capacity as the $78 quote prior to me. I came uncorked, Matt could NOT tell me why the difference... he just became nervous and said I'm getting synthetic oil, did he forget I just heard his conversation with the prior guy, same oil and I was being charged $120 again for a simple 6 quart capacity oil change (I am in the automotive industry) I have our corvettes oil changed at the dealership and pay $90 for performance V8s with synthetic mobile one at dealerships. Horrible Customer Service. Everything we asked to be done they only chose what they wanted to do. They lied and said our battery was bad which we bought through AAA and was still under warranty. We called AAA and had them come out to replace it only to find out our battery was reading at 89% SMH ‍ I guess they wanted to bend us over. We asked for them to replace the windshield wipers to be told by Biggie Smalls (the manager) that we would have to take it to the dealership for that. This manager is a joke. He literally chooses what he wants to fix and not. He puts older men out in the reception area to make it appear more trustworthy when in all reality he is the fool running the show. We left our car that was leaking antifreeze. When we picked up the car which had an oil change and general check up. I asked if the car was safe and he said he feels it should go to the dealer. I thank him for his honesty and again asked if the car was safe to drive home, he assured me than ran it for 20 minutes, no problem. Not even a block away it overheated and was running on hot, I was so scared, I was sure the car was going to explode. Got it home and had it towed to the Nissan dealer. It was a faulty cap on the radiator. What does it say for the mechanics there and what kind of testing could they have done? So now I have a towing bill and a bill from the dealer. Also purchased 4 new tires Bridge-stone Quiet-track, was told they are pretty quiet and 80,000 miles warranty. MY experience here was good. Ordered a set of tires and was told that I would get a call when they came in the following day. At 4pm the following day I called in to see if they arrived because I had not heard from them. They said the tires were in and they could be installed that day. I was asked if I wanted to apply for their credit card and I declined because I already had one. I was told that they have new cards now and they probably closed my card because it was over a year old. After a twenty minute conversation with customer service, they were able to confirm that the card was fine and was able to process the transaction. 30 minutes later they realized that they ordered the wrong size tire and cannot help me. They did offer to give me a set of tires that was comparable, however I am of the mind that if you're paying $1000 you should get what you want. I went in for a oil change,tire rotation,wheel balance and lifetime alignment....and battery check ....when they were almost done they said my battery failed and I needed a new one ,this location does not know how to test batteries....my CR-V was under factory warranty so I went to Honda the same day and they tested it twice and it was completely fine ,if I wasn't under factory warranty I would've paid for a new battery at Firestone that I did not need ....and they could've said oh you are still under factory warranty just go and bring it to Honda but no they said I should get one at Firestone....I will never come back to this location,ever since Remo left at this location the service has gone way down ,when Remo was running this location I've never had a problem or mis diagnosis...I'm going to the new Firestone on Litchfield & Wadell for my future service where I know I will get a properly done battery test and better overall service ,I talked to Jacob on the phone at this new location where Remo works he was apologetic for the poor service and said to come to this location and we'll take care of you . .oh and the checklist they give you wasn't filled out properly,sum things were not even checked just skipped it I'll be going back to Firestone where Remo works ..and thanx Jacob for listening to me and being apologetic for my poor service at that location on the 303 & Bell Rd area read more

Shady Liars! My daughter took her car in for an oil change and Nathan told that she needs to change the serpentine belt ASAP! They scared her into thinking it needs to be replaced immediately but fortunately she didn't have the money so she wasn't able to have them replace it at that time. We just had the serpentine belt replaced a couple of months ago so we took it to our regular mechanic to check it out just in case something may have damaged it. NOTHING is wrong with it. I set up an appointent to have the oil changed in my truck and to have an alignment done. I was told they would need my truck for no more than 2 hours the day I made my appointment. Today I dropped my truck off at 9:30 am, 30 minutes prior to my appointment. Again was told they would need my truck for 2 hours. I came at 1:30 pm to get ny truck and they STILL HAD NOT even begun to work on it. It was still sitting in the same parking spot I left it in. Even if they were to have started work on it immediately, it would have been 6 hours they had my truck by the time they were done. Prior to this I always recommended this location. Not anymore. After picking my kids up last night, we headed to the grandparents' house for dinner. In the less than a mile drive, my tire lost air and was thumping. At 7:15 this morning I got a call from Bruce, who received my keys and assessed the damage to my minivan. Ive had tires replaced twice now at 2 different firestone locations including this bell rd location. Both times they scratched, gouged, and damaged wheels. I brought a pair at 230pm, came back at 655pm and they werent done. I looked inside and saw two techs hanging off pry bars getting the tire on. They were stock Ford Focus wheels with exact stock replacement tires, nothing challenging at all. I got home and noticed extensive new damage to the wheels. I drove over there after my online request for an oil change was neither accepted nor denied and when I got there they said they couldn't make an appointment for me until 4 days out. When i asked the lady working if I should just reschedule it online she said that there's no point in doing that and to just schedule it in person. I didn't feel like he gave me any lines or tried to take advantage of the fact that I was of the female persuasion. In fact, instead of fixing my brake and taking my money, he told me that the issue should be fixed under warranty still. He even told me the best way to deal with the dealership to ensure they didn't try to skirt their responsibility. I watched the way they interacted with customers also, and found that they had an extremely good rapport, especially for a place that has been only opened for a couple of months.
