I am going to echo the previous reviewer (Margeret). The staff at this location has been very honest and fair with us. We have taken 3 cars to this location over the last 2 years and have had a similar experience. When my wife dropped her car off, she was treated the same way I was, which sadly isn't always the case at auto-repair shops. I have purchased a couple of sets of tires and, to my knowledge, the pricing is middle-of-the-road. Every time I have taken my car here, something else has gone wrong with it shortly after. Amazing coincidence!!! Last time they quoted me over $1000 for a repair that was actually not needed. The issue was a steelbelt separating from the tire, something they did not spot, even though they are the tire experts. Use them against better judgement!!!!! read more

People make appointments to plan their day. Please make sure your technician utilize the proper procedures when making an appointment. I called on Friday to see how long it would take to get an oil change. They quoted me 3 hours. The technician recommended making an appointment. He was clearly busy but took my name and number and said he would put me in for Sunday at 8. Sunday comes and there is no record of my call and the person at the front said there was no record of my call. 6 people would've been in front of me so I had to go somewhere else. My Super Bowl day plans are kinda thrown off but luckily a competitor was able to get me in. Just thought you guys should know. read more

Great service. I had a 4pm scheduled and I was going to be late due to a doctors appointment that took longer than expected. I called Firestone to give them the heads up and they told me I could come in late, until 7pm if needed. So cool! Staff was not only friendly over the phone but in person, too. The wait was okay however there was a rule they quoted regarding tire laws that I found to be false on ADOT! They said that you could not have more than two tire plugs but regulations state three was acceptable. Evidentially they wanted to sell a tire weather necessary or not! I guess sales are down so lie to the customers. Their credibility with me is not up to standards that a business should have. Questionable practice of giving false laws to a customer is definitely a loser to me I shall not be a repeat customer. read more

I purchased.all brand new tires a few months ago ... they put the tires on in a reasonable amount of time which was ok...the problem began on our way home , all of the sudden the sensors on my car indicated that I have a flat tire ... which I obviously didn't . Since the location was closing up as we were leaving I decided to call the next day. My commute to work is over an hour and having your tire sensor light on he whole time can be pretty daunting .. anyways I had left work early so I could now bring my vehicle to the location again and let them know what's going on ...Whule on the phone they repeated to me that the light should go off on its own. Well 60 miles later it didn't so I brought my car in ,the gentleman on site checked my pressures and they were all fine, but one of my sensors is now broken .... and that it would cost $79 to replace it ... well my sensors weren't broken before? In fact they were the ones that indicated to me that I had a flat tire and hence I needed to buy all 4 tires. So coincidentally now my sensors were "broken" right after I had all my tires replaced ... aknowledgeing that this is really "coincidence the mechanic stated that he will change out these sensors for me and to Schedule a day for that also that it shouldn't take too long. . I scheduled an appointment for my next day off. When I came in early for my appointment which was at 11 the mechanic at the front desk said it should be about an hour. I had to bring my 3 yr old daughter and unfortunately on that day she was sick. We went to a couple stores around the area ... sat in the bug infested waiting room ... after 2 hours I asked what the could be going on. Well they didn't have the matching sensors so they had to get them from different location .. information that could have been given to me an hour ago. 3 hours later after my appointment time my car was done , I get in the car and started driving the sensor goes off AGAIN . Thank you for breaking my sensors and probably having an incompetent mechanic put them on ... I will be shouting from rooftops at the horrible experience I had to anyone that listens. read more

I'm disgusted with the filthy liars that occupy automotive repair. I read the previous negative Yelp reviews and thought, it couldn't be worse than Brakes Plus, I was wrong. I was told on the phone after taking my Cadillac to brakes plus and receiving an estimate of $3,063 for brakes and rotors on a car that only has 12,000 miles, that I would only be charged $780 for brakes with tax included at this Firestone. I took my car in this morning and the jackass that took it into the bay, decided to back out and take my CTS-V up to 60-70 miles an hour in a parking lot over speed bumps and slam on the brakes while screaming woohoo!!! I was pissed, seriously, what the hell was this about!? I ran out of the crap office waiting area and confronted him. I asked him why he just did that with my car, when you only need to remove the tires and take measurements of the pads and rotors. He said "I have to see if it's making noise, you know squealing?" I replied "The only squealing was your dumbass as you floored my car through the parking lot and screamed!" His reply was "I'm not working on your car!" To which I said "Signing the indemnification doesn't cover asshole damage to my automobile!" The manager came out and I started filming to the cloud, he was pissed. He asked me what the problem was, I said you know. He then asked me why I was filming him, evidence I said. He said I choose not to be recorded, to which I replied "Go home and shut your door, you're in public and your employee just beat the hell out of my car!" I asked him if he would give me an estimate and honor the quote from the night before? He said "I don't know until we check the car." I filmed the entire 1.5 hours and was told, "we can fix it for $2,650." The problem being, the tolerances showed that I didn't need to change anything for another 15k mikes! I took the car to an honest repair shop in Sun City West and they asked me "has a light come on to replace your breaks?" Well no? Then wait until it does and bring it back to us when it happens. "You usually replace the front first and the rear much later." The name of this company is Sun City Auto Repair. They are honest and kind, I will update the photos and video over the next couple of days. Bottom line, stay the hell away from Firestone on Cotton and Bell road in Surprise! read more

Horrible experience! Before our oil change we asked for regular oil. They told us they would only do synthetic because that that's the manufacture "suggests". We aren't the customer? I wanted regular. After going ahead and getting synthetic because I knew I needed it done, I got back into my vehicle and the oil change sticker said I needed to change my oil in 2,000 miles and didn't mention a date. They left it blank. I know that's not right. Synthetic allows longer time between oil changes, not less. It's horrible how I pay them to do it, yet they don't know how many miles between oil changes. Just left here and I'm not even going to give them a chance to fix their mistakes. Do not come here. The techs are shady. First time here and last. I brought my 2015 Silverado in for an oil change. My truck requires 0w-20 oil. The box of oil the tech was getting it from ran out. He was so lazy to change it the last 2 quarts he decided to put in 5w-20. To top it off he put a ding in my door. I watched him open my door and hit this sharp metal object. Then he proceeded to look around to see if anyone saw him. Yep I did. The car owner. You dummy. The lazy and shady techs name is Lemuel. It wouldn't let me give 0 stars, but I would if I could. I made an appointment to get one tire replaced due to a bubble on the sidewall. I was told it would be forty-five minutes to an hour, which was important since I have 3 little kids with me and no way to get home. I told them I would take the kids on a walk to kill some time. After 50 minutes we came back because it started getting cold. When we got back, the car was outside. Maybe it was already done. THEY HAD NOT EVEN STARTED. When I asked, they took the car back without giving me the option to leave. I'm standing in the store an hour and a half in, still no car, kids going nuts. You couldn't pay me to get tires at this store again. read more

So today I got my oil changed! I brought in a coupon for a $20 oil change but was told my car required a synthetic oil for $60. After given $15 off, my bill still came to $58 after additional charges that should be included in the price. For example oil filter, labor and recycling. So the motor oil cost me $11/quart! Their check up reports that all my lights work, but I have a tail light that's out. Also recommended air filter replacement on next visit. The air filter is three weeks old. The people behind the counter were courteous and nice. I can't afford to pay $60 for an oil change. I really wanted this place to work because it's close to my job. read more

After just moving into my new home in Surprise I found my car wouldn't start the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Roadside assistance jump started my car and with the suggestion of neighbors I went to Firestone to buy a new battery. The people at the service counter were pleasant, we discussed options and I gave the okay for a new battery to be installed. Upon leaving the store and trying to open my windows, I discovered none of my windows were working. I took the car back to Firestone, they promised to fix it. Upon leaving a second time all windows but the moonroof were working. Back I went again, this time checking everything when they gave the car back to me. The next evening I got into my car to go grocery shopping, it was deader than a door nail, no clicks, lights etc. Since the next day was Thanksgiving I knew I couldn't get the car fixed until Friday. Called roadside assistance again, got it jumped and drove to the nearest Toyota dealer. (I always use the dealer for maintenance and repairs.) They did diagnostic tests only to discover Firestone had installed the WRONG battery for my car. Now I had to go back to Firestone to give them the correct number for the battery that would work in my car. They replaced the first battery, gave me a whooping $20 credit for the aggravation and sent me on my way. Yep, what do you know, windows weren't working right again. Took the car back into the bay and fixed the windows. This time I get into the car and there is dirt and grease on my light gray carpet. They clean if off but I'm furious by this time. I shudder to think what they might be doing to someone's car that might actually have serious mechanical trouble. All I needed was a new battery; instead I missed Thanksgiving by not having a car I could start and spent over 7 hours getting their error rectified. Unless I need to use the warranty on the battery I will NEVER go back to this place. read more

My mom's car had an issue with the battery or alternator! Brought the car in for testing. Service department said it was a bad battery, quoted me an outrageous price. I figured since they already had it in their stall, go ahead and do it. Brought my mom over to pick it up, when she started the vehicle. The warning light came back on!!! I am not going to allow her to drive this back to California with this risk!!! So I brought the Service manager, and the mechanic who worked on it to the car. i showed them the issue, he wanted me to look at the test paper! Really! You was just going to let my 63 yr old mother to leave your yard with a defect!!!! So I went ahead and took the car to O'Reillys, they will test your alternator for FREE!!!! Test showed it was a bad alternator. I went ahead and bought one, took it to my house and replaced it. Wow, the warning light no longer comes on. I took the car back to Firestone, asked for the battery back, umm! We no longer have the battery! Really!!! The only reason why I did not rate them at one star, because the manager tried to make amends for this. He went ahead and credit me the electrical test! I felt better that my mom had a new alternator and battery! NOTE: Battery job cost more then the Alternator job!!! Don't know if I will give this place another try???? read more

I have been here on 2 different occasions and have been pretty well ignored. I waited between 15-20 minutes just to be helped at the counter. The men behind the counter were chit-chatting with their other (male) customers about topics you'd expect to hear about in a more social situation. It was all very awkward and uncomfortable for me. I can understand a wait, but, on 2 separate occasions, I had to wait for the "social hour" to be over before I was even approached. I went back the second time because I thought I'd been overreacting from first visit. Nope. I will go elsewhere. read more

Do NOT trust this repair center. I had them inspect my brakes because I'd heard an unusual noise. They charged $20 for the inspection. They had no explanation for the noise, but recommended $2500 (!!!) worth of work "to be safe". What a joke! Regarding the brakes, I was informed I needed new rotors, the whole job would cost $397.93. I went for a second opinion and the mechanic told me my rotors were fine. IF they did need replacement, it would cost a little over $200. Less than 6 months ago I had a new rad and hoses put it. This Firestone dealer 'recommended' I spend $329.73 for new hoses and a flush!!! Keep away from them! They are total crooks. read more

Took my elderly father in laws newer vehicle with 4000 miles on the odometer to this shop for an oil change. This was my first visit to this shop. I did not have an appointment and they got me in and out in a little less than an hour. That's the good news. About a week and 50 miles later I went to check the oil (trust but verify) and found the mechanic spilled oil all over the front of the motor. On top of that the engine oil was a quart low. Nothing gets me more irritated than when a shop can't perform a simple oil change properly. I cleaned up the oil best I could and will just go buy another quart of oil. It is not worth my time to go back. Suggestion to shop. Have your service writers inspect all work done by your techs so this type of situation can be avoided. read more

Was traveling home to San Diego in my RV with my family when we experienced a flat on my trailer I was towing. Brought it to firestone which was conveniently off the freeway. Leo the service writer quickly assisted me and determined that the tire wasn't the issue, that my rim was cracked. Leo did not have the wheel in stock so he let me park my rv in his lot while I searched for a rim. About an hour later I located a wheel and brought it back to firestone where they installed it for a very reasonable price. Give these guys a shot your self and ignore the negative reviews. read more

What a joke! Brought my car to the, said I have major issues and should bring it dealership or engine shop. Turned out it was a leaking valve cover gasket and the oil was dripping into the spark plug tube. Do not bring your car here, they want fast jobs that they can turn and burn. So sad, they used to be real good not any more. Another time they called and said they recommend new spark plugs. I told them, you said you replaced them last year. They changed there tune. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the manager, Nick, is extremely knowledgeable. Nick is always direct and honest with us, and unlike other car service centers we've been to, has never tried to sell us anything that we did not need. I always have good experiences at this firestone they are professionals. I know they get busy but they always take care of me that is why i drop my vehicle off and wait for there call. On ryan w comments i was personally there when the situation happened i did not hear any tech whooing when they were on a test drive in the parking lot. He bluntly lied about the situation i emailed yelp and advised them about the lie they still want to keep the review up. I would think yelp would take into consideration an eye witness. Yelp has just turned into an add website to generate money for them selfs and not having honest reviews i have lost trust in yelp. read more

I took my car in this morning at 8 for an alignment check. I'm getting ready to start school Monday so I want to have my car good and ready to go. I'm taking 18 credit hours (12 classes) and work so I have no time during the week. Well I got my car back from alignment they fixed the issue of my car pulling to the left but they left my steering wheel crooked to the left. Now I have to go back and have them fix it. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because it was done in about 45 minutes and we buy tires and lifetime alignments for all of our cars at Firestone. About 6 cars and usually it always takes about two try's to get the job done right. read more

We come here because of how close to the house it is, but I think I am going to sacrifice convenience. I have had just a few too many negative experiences. When I had my 4 new tires put on, I left and found a block down the road they didn't take care of the tire pressure, one tire was 20 pounds OVER and one was 20 pounds under. 20 POUNDS!! When I turned around and went back, the customer service guy I delt with gave me attitude and excuses!! Yesterday we took the hubby car in and was informed they had been using the wrong oil in the past, so they kindly gave him a %30 discount on this change, well when he picked the car up and went to pay, they wouldn't let him use his $15 off a purchase of $30 mailed coupon... They said because they discounted it already... well it was discounted because of their mistake, and he still spent over $30, so he is still entitled to the coupon... so done with this place! read more

Again if I could give zero I would. My husband who is a master tech (pretty much he is the guy who you want to fix your car) made an appointment. They took the man who came in without the appointment and had him done before us. They gave our job to probably a young man who was on the job for a week or so. My husband believes they put in the wrong oil due to what it said on the oil container. They tried seeking me a battery due to acid on the battery but told him my husband can take care of that by buying one at Walmart. When the newbie was doing our oil change he had to constantly ask another person if he was doing it correct and that guy couldn't be brothered by him. The best is the newbie was going to pull out my 2017 Avalon while it is still on the lift about 10 feet above ground. I yelled to the manager it's still on the lift and was gonna run out into the work area to tell him to stop. Was treated horribly and this should be a lesson to you never know who knows about cars. I will never go back to this firestone. Go in for a oil change and tell me all this stuff wrong with my car. I got the oil change and left and got a second opinion and none of those things were wrong with my car. They gave me a $600 bill and went to discount tire and they told me nothing was wrong with my tires all I needed was a tire rotation . They did that at no charge. The customer care response you can look into why your employees charge for things that don't need to be done . I will take my business elsewhere . Very disappointed with this location went in for an alignment before we went on vacation. The truck was returned to me worse than what it was. I didn't have time to return for them to fix it because of our trip. While I was there they did inform me that left cv shaft boot was torn and was going to cost $540 just for part and another $160 in labor. When I called dealership the part was $247 full retail! A big chain like Firestone gets these parts at a discounted price how can they more than double the price and call it good business! Make a long story short I will never take my vehicles to this location I have to buy a new tire thanks to them not doing alignment correctly. read more

The tire couldn't be fixed but Remo gave me several options on a new tire. He explained the good, better, best options and was able to get me back on the road quickly! Wanted my passenger power window problem addressed. To diagnose they charged $100 - a little steep but no problem with this. The estimate included a master power switch which they wanted to charge over $500 for. I found the exact same part on the internet for $50. That is just wrong. People who are saying that they are honest must be employees. Needless to say I ordered the part myself and had a handyman do it for 1/10th of Firestone's estimate. read more

So at the service center right now..... waiting...... dropped off my vehicle at 330 for a 400 appointment and was told about 1 hour for a tire rotation and alignment. Returned at 530 to pickup and was told it is not ready and will be another 45 minutes. This blows my mind! I asked the clerk at the counter if all I am having done is a rotation and alignment and they had my vehicle for 2 hours already, what exactly have they done, because you could do a rotation and alignment in 45 minutes. He said he would ask the manager and went into the garage. After a few minutes he returned and helped the next customer in line and totally ignored me and then went back in the garage. Have not seen him since.......... NEVER coming here again..... poor poor customer service. Complete and utter scam! Had new brakes put on a commercial vehicle three months ago. Went in to see about a squeak; the service advisor said I needed new brakes and the rotors turned - est. = $507! I asked why the rotors need turned and he said because they have rust on them! Pulled the van - went to Big O and they did something to eliminate the squeak - $9. I have 20 commercial vehicles and none of them will ever see this facility again. read more
