When the lead technician, JR, went to install these new tires he also measured my existing tires, discovering that they were in very good shape and would pass inspection. And then he did the right thing: He called me to make sure I wanted tires that I didn't necessarily need. I had my car re-inspected at Firestone, passed with the existing tires, and it's the best $20 I've ever spent. Now Firestone will be my go-to for other services as well. read more

Getting a flat tire in a hybrid that comes with a can of fix a flat and small compressor is not a good way to start the day. Fortunately the tools gave me just enough driving distance to reach Firestone. I was able to book a 1pm appointment online, received a confirmation call within 10mins and was able to drop my car off at 10am to await service. My wife and I were hopeful to get the car back before the store closed. We were shocked to get a call at 12:30pm letting us know the car was ready for pickup - a full 30 mins before our appointment time!!! Took my car here & paid over $1,400 & car still is doing the same thing, still Undrivable and they stole $993 Because they never actually fixed anything and they voided the payment back to me without any explanation and then when I came back to pay $406 they re-initiated it the payment so my account is -$580, the Manager said there was nothing she could do & didn't care. I called customer service filed a complaint and I haven't heard from anybody since then. Now my car is undrivable for me and my son and I have no transportation and there's nothing nobody can do. also spent at least $80 on Ubers trying to get back-and-forth there for my car still not fixed and now balance in the negative and nobody cares. read more

Worked for Firestone years ago, and I'm absolutely glad I haven't for the last few. The two women up front, Georgette and Angie, are generally rude, inattentive, and their service is disjointed. The only person holding this location together is JR, lead technician. Have never seen a better example of a location where the technician know far more and far better than the front end staff. Also, for you concerned customers: You are not getting screwed by your state inspections because you need wipers or tires - if those are damaged by those rules that VA State Police (VSP) outlines in their guide for the Vehicle Safety Inspections (VSI), they are indeed required to pass inspection, unless you leave to take care of them yourself for the 15-day Rejection period, before you return for reinspection (which only costs you $1). read more

I brought my car to Firestone for a simple inspection and left with serious tire damage and a shop that refused to take any responsibility. Right after the visit, I noticed a new noise coming from the back of my car that clearly matched my tire rotation. When I brought it back to Firestone, the owner dismissed me and said nothing was wrong and that they hadn't done anything that could have caused it. He even went so far as to lie and say it sounded like my bearings were going bad, even though I explained the noise was brand new. Turns out? THEY PUT A GIANT BOLT IN MY BRAND NEW TIRE. My one week old tire was damaged while in their care. They didn't notice, didn't say a word, and certainly didn't offer to fix it. On top of that, one of my tire valve caps was missing, which I only got back after I noticed it myself and pointed it out - and they still insisted on never TOUCHING my tires even though I came in for a STATE INSPECTION. Thankfully, they destroyed the brand new tire I got from DANIELS TIRE AND WELDING- a local shop that actually listened to me and repaired the damage in less than 15 minutes for free. They treated me with honesty and respect, the complete opposite of Firestone. And guess what? My bearing didn't go bad in an hour, the noise WAS INDEED the giant bolt in my tire. I was spoken over, gaslit, and dismissed at Firestone like I didn't know what I was talking about, and I can't help but believe that wouldn't have happened if I weren't a young woman. They showed no accountability, no transparency, and no basic respect for their customers. If you respect yourself, your car, and your bank account, don't go to Firestone. Support honest local shops like DANIELS TIRE AND WELDING instead. I wish I just went to Daniel's in the first place, and avoided this entire mess. read more

Long wait times even when they tell you it's first come, first serve, and you show up 10 mins before opening. Poor communication and lack respect. On a side note, coffee machine has been running out of pods and cups the 2 times I came, and TV does not work. I worked for Firestone years ago as a tech at a different location. Once they opened the one in Williamsburg and I use them for things that I can't or won't do in the driveway. One of these things is replacing TPMS sensors as I do not have an easy way to break the bead on a tire. I have my own sensors and programming tool and have had them mount the programmed sensors twice in the past several years. Went in today and greeted with a sneer right off the bat by the woman working one of the desks. She informed me that they do not install customer supplied parts. Not sure if this has always been their policy, it's not an unreasonable one. It was the woman's attitude I take issue with. Went up the street to Discount Tire and they took care of me, albeit with a longer wait time to talk to someone. Discount Tire is hoppin for a reason, they have great service and polite employees. A shop is only as good as their employees, whether it's technicians or service writers. Firestone really missed the mark with one of their Advisors today. read more

Updating my review. I decided to give it another try for a state inspection bc of the distance from my work. I had called at 7am the day of (when they open) and a lady had answered the phone and told me I can bring my car in at 5pm for a state inspection. I brought it in around 4:45 on a Tuesday (after work) and when I went inside to drop off the keys, there was no one manning the front desk. After about 3 minutes of waiting and asking "Hello??". Someone finally came out to the reception desk. However, the guy told me that they can't accept it today and that the inspector went home already. When I had explained that I had called earlier and the receptionist told me that I could drop it off, he claimed that I spoke to a customer service call center and they often give out wrong information like that. He said there's no way he could take the vehicle but I could leave it here for the next morning. Unfortunately, I didn't have a ride home until 8:30pm which is after they close and almost 4 hours away. So I decided to come the next morning. I came around 7:15am and dropped the car off. They called me around 11:30 saying that I had to change my wipers... I was told I'd have to replace them to pass the inspection. So I replaced them for ~$44 + tax. This is my first experience with them for state inspection so I'm not sure if it's common practice for them to have you pay for something to pass the inspection but I wasn't too pressed. If it wasn't the initial experience of having an appointment and then not, I would probably give 4/5 stars . read more

I arrived at 7:45. I was told one other person was booked for 8 as well, but since I only needed a screw removed from a tire, and a repair of the hole, it shouldn't be that long. Oil change completed on Wednesday (21 Dec);; after leaving the car parked for serval days the following Tuesday after the holiday I notice oil gauge slightly passed minimum marker I returned to inquire a) if there was a leak identified I was not informed of or b). Oil was not filled to maximum after the oil change was complete. The technician proceed to advise a "diagnostic" was need because he did not see signs of a leak .... Not even attempting to offer tipping off the oil which clearly was not done properly after ruling out oil leak. When trying to show oil indicator level he impatiently just turned off the car before the data populated. I was puzzled why a diagnostic was suggested if there was no check engine light on.... What is being diagnosed?? Gentleman at the front desk was helpful as well as a manager on duty but neither of which negate the fact that service was not rendered properly which resulted in me returning nor the fact that the tech refused to listen to customer and lack professionalism I'll go elsewhere next time.... read more

Made an appointment 1week in advance online hence my one star easy online appointment booking, arrived @ 0845 for A 0900 oil change and rotation and was told they triple booked my time slot so I dropped off the car, here it is 1500 and they haven't even touched my car for a simple oil change & rotation. I usually go to discount tire or jiffy lube for vehicle maintenance unfortunately I've learned an important lesson. So I will preface this review by saying the 2 stars are for the excellent alignment. Maybe the best alignment I've ever had. BUT, they sold me a set of Bridgestone Revo 3 in March 21', it's 17 months later and I have a small slow leak in one tire. I go in because I have the "road hazard" protection... this is where it starts to get ridiculous. It took 2 hours to tell me "we can't repair it" you'll have to buy a new tire... I explain to the guy, who is new, that I have the road hazard, shouldn't that cover it... let me check. 10 min of lessons from his manage later.. you do have roadhazard, because the tread is so worn on these tires we would have to replace all 4 under the road hazard program. That will be 1200 dollars. Couple things you should know right about now. I paid just under $900 for these tires when I bought them. I wanted less aggressive tires but needed some asap and this was what they had. So I mention that I paid 900 out the door the first time, manager says, yeah but the tires are 400 and with the road hazard they are only 268, plus all the other costs. So what they are saying is I bought road hazard to end up getting quoted a higher price than basically every online tire retailer. I realize I'm not getting anywhere and ask them to put some air in it and I'll let them know. That's when I left, but that's not the whole story. I drove down to a place that offers a more "discount" approach. They end up offering me a much nicer Michelin all season tire that retails for about the same price as the Revo3. The quote is about 1250, but oh hey there is a rebate on purchase of 4 Michelins. That's great to hear. But wait! There's more! I mention that these tires that they DIDNT sell me which have 4/32 left on them are only 27k miles into the 60k tire warranty. Guy clicks a few buttons puts in some info and my new price for better tires, just under $600 out the door!!! So I buy them of course. All of this and that ain't the best part. I've had a slight wobble at 70+mph ever since I got the Revo 3s. I have taken them back to Firestone to rebalance, I've taken them elsewhere to balance. I asked Firestone to see if we could figure out if there was a bad tire, they said there wasn't. So for a year and a half I've had this shimmy in the truck at highway speeds... today after the new tires are on.. Gone! They sold me one or more defective tires and failed to figure it out, making me think my truck had some other issue. The issue is they sold me bad tires at Firestone and left me to deal with it. If you need tires drive 1mile closer to downtown and look right! read more

Over the phone they said it was gonna be 29.99, don't believe their lies- the 29.99 oil change ended up costing me close to 80.00. I dropped my car off for inspection and they called me a few hours later saying one of my headlights was burnt out and needed to be replaced. Weird. I checked not too long before I dropped it off. I wasn't available another time to replace it myself and then drop it off for inspection so I told them to just go ahead and replace it. It costed another $70 and total came out to $90 for what they said was a headlight. I think I was scammed and I will not be coming back. Would give one star but will give two stars for getting inspection done within a few hours for a walk-in. read more

My rental car was losing air and was down to 24 psi in the front left tire according to the on-board sensor. I pumped in air from two different locations, but the warning light stayed on. A gas station owner recommended I have the tires checked out at this Firestone store. I arrived there minutes before they closed. One of the mechanics greeted me with a smile and checked out/pumped air into all the tires, free of charge. It turned out that it was the rear tires that were low on air, not the front as the sensor indicated. Thanks to these guys, we were able to drive 300 miles over the next two days without worrying about a flat tire. read more

I called and scheduled an appointment to have the 40,000 mile service completed on my Volvo XC90. I also requested to have the tires rotated, alignment check and to look at the back right rear tire due to an air leak. When i picked up the vehicle I was told there was nothing wrong with the tire and the tires were not rotated and the alignment was not completed. On the drive home the low pressure light came on again so I called and complained and was told they never actually looked other than an a normal service inspection. So I scheduled to go back the next day to actually conduct the work that was not completed. the following morning I drop the Volvo off, again when I picked the Volvo up the tires had not been rotated but they did conduct the alignment and had to plug the tire. Basically I will not recommend this Firestone to anyone and if it wasn't for the fact that I just bought new tires and the rotation and alignment for life I would never go back. if this happens again on my next visit I will eat the loss and take my business elsewhere. read more

I brought my car in for air conditioning issues and it took all day for them to look at it and they said system was over charged and the reduced the Freon and it was fixed. Seemed like a odd diagnosis as the system doesn't just overcharge itself there had to be a underlying issue. Drove one day and air stopped again. I returned at store opening and they said it would take another day to look at it. Horrible customer service don't waster your time with this shop they are too busy to fix cars correctly and expect you to wait days to simply diagnose a problem. read more

Called back an hour after and they haven't gotten to my car yet. Actually, seems like there was no staff planning as there were two cars before me yet I showed up on time for my appointment. Only one person working the cars and I was told he had to call for "back up." Then the tiny corner designated as the waiting room was fully occupied. Ridiculous. Y'all can and should do better. Don't waste people's time. Two hours later only to be told that I'm going to need a new tire. I've had full maintenance done to my car in less time than that! And provide a bigger waiting room since you want people to wait for that long for a simple service. They can at least be semi-comfortable. Never coming back here again. We are stopping in Williamsburg for the night on a driving trip. Noticed a strange sound when/ the car around 6:30....Firestone closes at 7:00. Staff was more than kind, took us in, put the car on a lift, inspected, did a test drive, and diagnosed a couple things for us (nothing major that interferes with our trip) By this time, it's 7:30. They didn't even charge us!!! So very grateful. The waiting area and shop spaces are clean & neat, too. Very impressed. read more
