I leased a new Honda Civic and Alex and Juan help me but I feel like they really did not take the time to explain to me anything. Alex barely show me one car and he did not explain to me anything about the car. I had to ask everything I wanted to know, nothing was offered. I did not realized that until I talked to my sister who has gotten a car at 1st Honda of Simi Valley a week before. She told me about how important was to turn the windshield wipes off and not have them on automatic because they could easily break,her salesman explain that to her, I did not hear anything about that from Alex, and he did not tell me how to open the gas lid again my sister told me how, her experience was so different that mine. She and her husband were treated so nice, and to them a lot more details were given about the car, they took the time to show the car. I feel like they did not really took the time with me and tried to hush me into getting a new lease. I am not happy with the service or the deal I made. I am giving a mixed review for First Honda of Simi Valley. My experience with them was good. I met with Johann, who was courteous and knowledgeable. I had researched and test driven the car I wanted, and First Honda had a good selection of colors to choose from. I was responding to an ad I had seen in the paper, and was able to test drive, qualify, sign and drive off in about 3 hours total. Johann showed me all the features and gizmos in the car, and synced my phone to the car's bluetooth. That being said, I am appalled at some of the other Yelp reviews I have seen, and if I had read the reviews beforehand, would probably have gone to a different dealership. I had gone to another Honda dealership where the manager would not give me a quote, but rather said "We'll meet the best offer you get from another dealership" like the internet sales reps at First Honda, according to some other reviews. I asked him several times for a quote, but he refused to give me one, so I didn't buy from him. That is not customer service. That is not salesmanship. It is the dealership's attempt to exert zero effort to make a sale. This was not my experience at First Honda, but then I didn't ask for a quote there, either. read more

Horrible customer service with their service department. Not to mention they're a bunch of crooks. I have a 2002 Civic whose driver side window has fallen into the door 4 times!! Also happened to other people I know with the same car. So clearly it's the manufacturing. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to put that together. But Honda wants to charge me $400 to fix it. Ha! That's why I've gone elsewhere to have it done, but considering it keeps happening again and again, and to other people, Honda should pay for their hunk-a-junk product repairs. Brought my Honda in for recall work to be done after they inspected my car., I was informed that my brakes required immediate attention.My brake pads according to them were just about gone. I declined the work to be done by them and took my car to my mechanic that I have been using for years Low and behold my brakes were fine more than 50% left on the brake pads. Was this a mistake on First Honda part? Or? well you can decide. I Purchased my Honda Odyssey at 1st Honda back in 2010. When I needed the front axles replaced under warranty I was told it would be finished in one day & that the parts were in stock .Turned out they didn't have both axles in stock so it took two days, which was an inconvenience as I had to rent a car. Now four months later it's having a problem - it makes a "clanking" sound when turning, so I called to make an appointment. I was on hold for 20 minutes until someone finally answered and asked me why I brought the car in the first place four month ago. This was a weird question because they replaced the axles after verifying it was "needed" 4 months ago. After making an appointment I canceled it. I am taking it to Kolbe Honda, where I purchased my new accord last week. They have a much better attitude and work ethic there. 1st street also told me they would shuttle me home when I bought my van but that turned out to be untrue. I also complained about a scratch after the last service and the person in charge was supposed to call me but never did - ultimately I had it repaired anyway myself for $250 after having JUST spending $2500 fixing all scratches at Doug's Custom Paint two weeks prior. This dealer needs to step up there customer service and attitude. read more

Bought very first car from here brand new! Sold it to me with Noticable scratch and hanging front spoiler. So i have recently bought my first car from first Honda. I bought a brand spankin new Honda Civic hatchback sport Manuel. The car is absolutely beautiful and I paid total of $25000 for it. This car was suppose to be brand new (meaning no scratches or dents or anything on it) well upon discussing price of the car with the Dealer, they had mentioned how the car had a mild scratch on the bottom right of the front bumper and the spoiler was coming off as well. Despite this, the dealer still refused to lower the price by even a dollar because they reassured me that Id be able to bring it in and get it fixed for free no problem. Well once I had decided to go with the car despite the scratch and hanging spoiler, due to the color of the car being to rare, I took it home and it's been great. I then took the car back a day or two later to get the scratch fixed. They then told me that it would take 3-5 days to fix the scratch and hanging spoiler, this is very bad because I have two jobs and go to school so not having a way of getting around hinders my schedule! At the same time, no one had mentioned prior that it was take that long to fix it other wise I would have planned better. Nonetheless I said ok and gave them my car. They came back a lil bit later and told me that they would have to order in the spoiler and that it was be at the Honda on 10/15 and that they would call me when it came in. I bought the car 9/28 as a reference. I said ok and took my car back. 10/15 rolls around and no call. So o called the next day and asked and they then said oh sorry there was a delay on your order and that it's arrive on 10/25. Already annoyed and frustrated, I said ok and went on. Today is 10/29, I have gotten no calls from first Honda for the past 4 days. So all in all, ABSOLUTELY HATED having to deal with this dealership. Unfortunately I still have to in order to get my car fixed. First Honda of Simi Valley has completely ruined my experience of not only buying my first car, but buying my first brand new car, which wasn't really brand new after that scratch. read more
