I love the food here. But there is some inconsistency in the portions and prices. I've ordered the same dish twice and gotten very different portion sizes and my husband and I have ordered dishes that were similar in price but very different in size as well. On our last visit the service was just ok. Our waiter volunteered to bring my husband a coffee to go but then he brought the check and we never saw him again. We just had an excellent experience here. The ambiance is perfect for breakfast/brunch, it's clean and friendly and inviting. The menu offers so much variety, healthy options plus seasonal which is great. Our server, Danielle, was on point, extremely friendly and helpful and even brought out my three year olds food first. Food was really good, ...but that isn't my issue here. We felt rushed from the moment we entered the door (9am on Saturday). The check was brought to our table within minutes of the food arriving.. and the wait was about 20 minutes, not bad in my opinion... but a woman with her husband and 3 kids was allowed to literally (one of her hooligans ran into me and wasn't required by patents to apologise or acknowledge me in the least) push past us 'common folk ' while we waited, tell the hostess that SHE didn't have time to wait, so they would just 'sit here' while seating themselves at an open table right by the door...i was amazed!!!! This review is based solely on how I was treated at the register. She tossed me my receipt and walked off to talk to someone. She then came after me and said I took the wrong receipt. I tried this place 3 times. The first two, bad service, but pretty good food. The third time, bad service and bad food. I ordered breakfast tea and cream. I got a box full of only green tea and was told to use the 20+ cartons of only flavored creamers on the table (literally, only had flavored cream). It took 20 min (when the food came) to get one bag of breakfast tea. We sat by the kitchen, and I told my friend "whoops, I smell burnt toast." A few minutes later, I'm served eggs Benedict on black toast, not "lightly charred," but 95% BLACK. I'm not sure who they think won't notice black toast if it's buried under a Benedict... I have a firm "do not return food to a kitchen" policy, but I was surprised that the waitress saw my unedible black toast on the table and never said a word. My friends and I have gone to Breadwinners for years, and I realize why it's our go-to for great food and service. This restaurant should try to poach the Breadwinners sweet waitresses that would bend over backwards for you. read more

I was looking forward to First Watch opening in Arvada as I had been there in Florida with my sister. " Join the Waitlist" wasn't working so I called, but was told they wouldn't take " call ahead" seating. I said "so we are going to have to wait 45 minutes when we get there?" " sorry, we can't take call ahead seating, but the wait is only 30 minutes right now." When I got here with my 3 children less than 15 minutes later, the wait was 50 minutes and I was told they were talking call ahead since the "mobile waitlist" wasn't working. " Sorry". Needless to say we went somewhere First Watch contacted me and offered a free meal. The food was tasty and I appreciate the positive response and customer service. We came here for breakfast and from the start the service with Amy was not enjoyable. I had to ask three times for orange juice and insisted I try something else. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with over medium eggs. When we brought our food the biscuits were cold and our eggs were no over medium they were very runny. Amy never asked us how our food was or if we needed anything else, the best part was my sisters sandwhich that I had to share with her. And by best part it was still just ok. The first couple of times my family and I tried this place, I was slightly unimpressed by the service. The servers weren't the most friendly or quick. However, we enjoyed the food so we decided to give it one more shot. Our server, Shelby, was amazing. I made sure to let the host know on our way out that she completely changed our mind about the place and that we would come back based on our experience with her. She took time to answer all of our questions even though it was an extremely busy day. She makes you feel like asking questions isn't an annoyance, something I feel many servers struggle with. She greeted us with a smile and hot coffee, explained to us the juices they juice themselves on site, which I never would have tried but she persuaded us and we all loved them! The Kale Tonic is now a must have for our family! Definitely worth the wait when it's busy too. You can even add your name to their wait list via their app before you get there. If you make it in, ask for Shelby, her positive attitude will definitely brighten your day and she has wonderful suggestions as to what to try if you're undecided! read more

Ciabatta was a long single slice of a roll rather than cut into tow pieces and the poached eggs looked like scoops of whipped butter when I realized they were over cooked. Confusion ensued when I asked for a replacement. Finally received new eggs and everything else was cold by then. My friend had the seeded pancakes which were very tasty. Coffee was decent and abundant - no soy/almond milk, only half-half creamer.
