Today started out wonderfully and I was looking forward to having breakfast at one of my favorite chains. Once I was seated I waited as other guests were greeted and served by the waitstaff. A couple came at the same time I did and they had ordered and were enjoying drinks. No server came by my table to even acknowledge me. I saw at least 3 servers attending to guests and preparing empty tables for guests who may come in later, but no one was concerned with a real customer that they had sitting at the table. I finally got up and asked a manager if there was some reason there wasn't a server willing to serve me. He took my order and brought me coffee. A few minutes later the manager delivered my food. The only interaction I had with servers were to bring me my bill and to see if they could clear my plate. Two different servers were interested in getting paid or getting me out of there so that they could serve someone else. I'm disappointed and I won't be returning. read more

Coming from a 9 year old, I think First Watch has great service and me and my parents food was delicious and came out in less than 10 minutes, that's the fastest time I've ever gotten food besides literal fast food places!! My food (chocolate chip pancake w/ a side of bacon & grits) was deliciously made with very fluffy, well, is it doe?? Anyways, I recommend first watch 100%, if I could, I would go everyday!!! I've been coming to this location since it opened. Years ago I used to come every Saturday. As time has gone on, the quality has definitely declined. Food used to come out so quickly, now it takes a good 30-40min after ordering. My eggs are always either very undercooked or brown. And all the portions seem a lot smaller (especially on takeout). It's just really disappointing because I have always loved coming here. read more

I love First Watch for breakfast and lunch. On my recent visit though, I got an order to go, and I was so impressed on how they did not keep me waiting around. I came in, paid, and I watched the same server who cashed me out put my order together and then I was out! Really love this place for breakfast. You have to try the Million Dollar bacon. It is delicious. We were not happy about the menu change but we have been enjoying it recently. A little disappointing. Reviews and pictures looked good. I didn't see a lot of the pictures dishes on the menu. Maybe they were specials. Got the trifecta with waffle. Waffle was soggy. Waffles should be crispy on the outside. Redeeming factor was the berry syrup that came with it. It was clean, spacious. Staff was very polite. read more

My wife had the strawberry cheesecake French toast and I had the Italian. To start with, her's was amazing. Her French toast was rich creamy and sweet overall absolutely delicious. It is very similar to French toast I had at my other favorite breakfast place and the stuffed French toast there is amazing and only seasonally available. This is available year-round so I am going to be stopping by here a lot. My Italian breakfast was amazing as well, it was on the lighter side, so it wasn't very heavy and it was refreshing. Prosciutto on top of the eggs benedict over toast with a small spring mix salad and a light dressing. It wasn't until after I finished eating the sandwich, well, sort of sandwich, that I realized I was supposed to put some of the greens onto the half sandwich. Either way all of the food was delicious and I strongly recommend anybody who is nearby should stop here for their food read more

First Watch has quickly become my favorite spot to grab food and this location is great! Their dishes never disappoint and the staff is always welcoming and accommodating. Their sesonal menu always features new and delicious dishes and their juices are great. I am slightly addicted to the Kale Tonic and will sometimes swing by just to grab it to go. I recently moved to Sarasota with my husband and when ever we have visting friends and family, we take them to this First Watch and everyone leaves happy and full. We have been going to FW for several years and the last year or so there has been a significant deterioration in the food quality. Their claim is that everything is "fresh". Hmmm.. Creamer that doesn't need refrigeration doesn't strike me as fresh. When I asked for real cream or whole milk for the coffee, the server said that they only have 1% milk. That isn't enough to mellow out their bitter coffee. They used to have a pitcher of water on the table with lemon; a nice touch; now they don't even fill the water glasses. The restaurant was not busy, but our food arrived cold. With the other options in the area, this is a -WNR - will not return. read more

The traditional breakfast is very good and the Floridian French toast is also very good. If you order an omelette make sure you ask for cracked eggs other wise they give you egg beaters. The service is always excellent . read more
