I had to wait 30 min to get seated and wait another 30min to have my food come out. The person told me the wait time is 10min. I waited 30min. I got a waffle, eggs, and sausage and it was 11dollars. Definitely over priced and the food wasn't great. It was definitely not worth the wait.... the food is not that good people..... I was hungry, but I only had a bite of each cuz the food wasn't really great as other reviews say. I just took the food to go and gave it to someone.. The final bill was 35. We went here this morning for the first time and we will definitely be back! The decor is so cute, it has a laid-back, welcoming environment and the food was delicious. The eggs Benedict was good (the eggs were a little more cooked than usual, so if you want a tinnier yolk, maybe ask for it), and the banana crunch pancake was delicious, although my husband was happy he ordered two eggs on the side. The only reason for the lower rating was that halfway through my meal I found a long hair that kind of ruined the rest of my experience. Providence Farm Location: The atmosphere was very nice and the service was great! What was disappointing was my Eggs Benedict. The eggs are supposed to be runny, but they were hard boiled. When I mentioned this to the server he said he would let the cook know. What surprised me was the lack of an offer to have them made again or to receive a discount. GREAT addition to Waverly. We needed another breakfast and lunch place and this fits the bill. The wall and ceiling decorations are funky and fun. The food is fresh and served up quickly. Today, I had a frittata with egg whites and mushrooms and kale and tomatoes and cheese. It was very good and was served with some greens on the side of the plate. Also had a long piece of bread that was served with strawberry jam. I had to request the strawberry jam and the serving size was a bit meager, but yummy. My lunch companion, Deanna, had a salad and seemed to enjoy it. The noise level is a little much here, similar to a lot of restaurants with high ceilings and concrete floors. Our server was obviously trying to give hints that it was time for us to go, after we had finished our meal. She brought drinks to go and asked us to take the bill up front to the register. When we remained seated, she came back to the table and said that she would take our bill up there for us. It came across as a big hint, even though she was friendly and efficient. These restaurants will just need to learn that when I show up, it is for food and an extended visit with one of my friends. It is NOT an eat and run affair! I will return here. read more

I am an avid supporter of First Watch. I've enjoyed several meals across the Charlotte, Florida and Virginia area with my family and friends. Every experience I've had has been extremely pleasant until Sunday July 18, 2021 in Charlotte at the Matthews location located at 6311 Providence Farm Ln. The greeter Abby was terribly rude and unpleasant to several guest, who checked in and had questions about their wait time. She was dismissive and inattentive to guest. As a customer service employee I understand the importance of efficiency and being able to navigate multiple competing tasks simultaneously. However when working with people, being short, dismissive and unpleasant is totally unacceptable. If Abby plans to remain a greeter at this location it is my hope that management will provide training on how to properly greet guest who enter this restaurant. read more

Place continues to get worse. Ordered take out. Asked multiple times to add a drink. Food was ready on time but only gave us one drink. That's ok people mess up orders but... then when I said I ordered two drinks they said but it only says one. I then repeated and yes but I ordered extra can it have another drink. I had to pay for the extra drinks even tho I was there fault. Cashiers didn't know how to place a simple drink order. They said I'll need a server. What? So 20 minutes later the cashiers then say, "hi do you need help paying". They completely forgot that I had asked for a drink. There response was "oh right. It's you". Horrible service. I'm pregnant at 39 weeks, hostess named Leann was extremely rude and made me stand outside in the rain when there were 2 open seats and she still made me wait outside. A manager came out and said she could sit us instantly which made no sense why I had to wait if there were tables open in the first place. I have been to First Watch at Waverly a number of times and come away with the same feeling....the wait staff is excellent, the food is good (albeit a little expensive for what you get), but the management is poor. The front of the house is never really pleasant, the managers just stand around and seem uninvolved in the running of the front of the house. The cashier was abrupt and unfriendly. On one trip we waited for a table for over an hour and then someone came and sat at an outside table immediately, we were never informed that they were first come first serve. Today, there was an error where we were seated prior to another table, and everyone knew about it...which should never happen. (Insert dirty looks here!) If you decide to go on a busy weekend, I would recommend checking in online to hold your space. read more

It's a busy restaurant so there's often a wait to be seated but it's well worth the wait - it's busy for a reason. I come back as often as I can. The food is amazing but the staff? Went early this morning with my husband and the hostesses were sitting around talking. We were sat immediately, no complaints there. It was maybe four tables sat so it was not busy at all. We waiting 15 and no one came by the table to acknowledge us, take a drink order or anything. We were freezing bc we were under a vent and was going to ask to move seats but didn't even get that far bc we never saw wait staff on the floor. Everyone was in the kitchen area standing together. When we left, we told the hostesses that no one ever acknowledged us and we're given a half-hearted "sorry about that". They didn't care about getting our business at all. read more

Mismanaged expectations. I sign up for a five to ten minute wait via their online sign up. Make the trek over with the family and the place is packed at 9am Sunday. Check in and verify a 5min wait. After 20mins Hostess says she has no idea of the wait time since she hasn't looked around. Then tells me the online wait times are not accurate. I noticed nobody in the restaurant eating. Can't imagine how long to get our food if We ever got seated. Glad they are busy but allowing people to travel there thinking it's a five min wait, then confirming it in person, then 20mins later admitting they don't know is something that they should change. read more

First time today and it was unbelievably good!! I ordered the farmhouse skillet hash and the taste was incredible. Love their multi grain toast as well. Also got to try one of their fresh squeezed juices, they offer you to sample the three if you like. My mother in law said the coffee is out of this world good. We said it was our first time so they could explain the menu better to us and in the end we got a free lemon pancake, honestly the pancake was to die for! If I could give a ZERO, I would. If you have at least hour to waste and feel like being lied to, then by all means go here. Went into the restaurant at 10:50 am. and told it would be a 45 minute wait. We chose to wait. 45 minutes pass, I am then told I am 6th in line and it will be another 15 minutes. Another 15 minutes go by, and I am told I am #3 in and line and it will be another 15 minutes. Another 15 minutes, same thing. 3rd in line/15 minutes. I was then told that customers that put their name in on the app get bumped ahead of the customers that are actually there and waiting. I spoke to the manager and she told me the same thing. This is the worst customer service ever. Customers in the store are less important and valuable than customers online. So much for First Watch. It should be called Last Watch. read more

Visited on 8/29/2021: I used the wait in line option on the app at 11:03am. It told me the wait was 45 minutes to one hour. When I arrived, I checked in at the hostess stand at 11:50am and was told there were three people ahead of me. I waited outside. At 12:10pm, I checked again and was told there were three people ahead of me and to go wait in my car for a text (it's 90 degrees outside btw). I explained the above and said I was going to wait inside now and eventually got a text that my table was ready at 12:21pm. The squeaky wheels were definitely seated first. It would be nice to see the actual wait list like Panera Bread has displayed where it's clear where your name falls in the list. I'm certain that we would have been seated within the time frame if that existed. And, people wouldn't be constantly checking with the hostess. I was so dehydrated by the time we sat down. Just an overall terrible experience. Great food but not worth the fight to get seated. I don't know why more accurate wait times are not provided. If I had known the wait was going to be 90 minutes, I would have gone elsewhere. I need food to live like everyone else but my time is valuable and I can easily find something to eat elsewhere. read more

Horribly slow service dining in and even picking up to go orders. The check out system at the counter is incredibly inefficient. Rude customer service and staff often ignores customers needs. Upon sitting down, we were patient with waiting service; however, that alone took about 12 min. Upon placing our orders, it took approximately 40 min. to receive our food. Our waitress never checked on us, we never received refills on our waters, and another waitress took our syrup from our table without us being finished with our meals. OMG EW! Came here for lunch, ordered the Market Veggie sandwich w a side of tomato soup, about three bites in I found a nice LONG strand of hair cooked into the sandwich. Upon telling the waitress there was no apology, AND she still charged me for my soup which I told her I didn't want because I was grossed out and had lost my appetite. At checkout I again asked if they'd take the soup off of my bill as it came along w the sandwich as a side and I didn't eat any of it, and the hostess checked w the waitress who refused. So I paid for the soup because its not the cashiers fault, but honestly this is a chain restaurant you'd think they'd just comp the meal, it's not like I asked for it to be remade or like I ate any more than a couple of bites.
