I love FirstWatch! The food is awesome and the restaurant gives off a very happy vibe. I particularly like the kale tonic drink that they serve, it tastes delicious and is a good healthy option. I have ordered many different things off the menu; the avocado toast is always my go-to for breakfast/brunch, but their lunch options are just as good. Our experience started off poorly. Gave our name and phone number, for five people. Received welcome text. Watched our place in line go from 8 to 5 to 3 to done. Message said we should already seated. Checked in with host counter and told we were not on list. The asked how long ago we signed in. When told 30 minutes, they were all confused. Waited 10 more minutes, and they finally gave us a booth with room for four. Meanwhile, seating two's and three's at tables for six. Waited another 5 minutes for waitress, but rest of visit ok. read more

Outstanding breakfast & lunch spot! The Deerfield Location is especially efficient. Our server, CiCi was so friendly and really knowledgeable about the menu items. Eh, the of the waitresses rolled her eyes and wagged her hand as we told we were finishing a plate off right before she was about to snatch the unfinished plate and the dish the pancakes were served in had bits of savory garnish- they claimed it was from another dish and not from the plate being dirty but who knows. The food is OK, you can get similar for less and better elsewhere, I think the problem is who they hire to work here than anything. I don't intend to come back here, I'll consider trying a different First Watch before I make my conclusions of the chain entirely. read more

Let me just say that I've always been a fan of this place. The food is always fresh and the service is great. Today they had a special...sockeye wild raised smoked salmon with two poached eggs, avocado and tomato, red onion, field greens with the benedict sauce on the side. It normally comes over Chiabata bread but I do not do bread so I asked for it over the field greens. OMG...the best breakfast ever! The salmon was to die for! We visit this restaurant almost every weekend. I like that you can get on the wait list before going there. It saves a lot of time. The food is fantastic. There is always a line and a wait to get into the first watch but they make it comfortable for you with some couches to relax on and some coffee you can enjoy while you're waiting. While we were waiting for a table we looked over the menu and there's a nice selection of breakfast and lunch items. I ordered the pick two with the choice of soup or salad and half sandwich.I had A half sandwiches of Monterey club which came with lettuce tomato cheese turkey and bacon and I also had a Cobb salad which was with a mix of organic greens bacon eggs avocado blue cheese with the ranch dressing and also had turkey on top,was large and delicious. My husband had the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata omelette which had Alaskan smoked salmon house roasted shallots tomatoes and topped with Parmesan cheese and chives and fresh herbs,served with whole-grain toast and side of potatoes. Having been to several different locations, both near to us and closer to family across the state, we seem to always return to the Deerfield location. The staff that greets you at the door are friendly and attentive, and they are the most organized compared to the other 6 locations we have tried. Most of the wait staff are patient and friendly, but there is one or two who don't exude that personality. The food always come the way it was ordered, special requests included, the taste is always spot on. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to all. read more

Years ago, when I lived in Sarasota, First Watch was a so-so breakfast place, overpriced, and food mediocre at best. But they've upped their game now. I don't know if it's all of them, but the one in Deefield Beach by Powerline and Hillsborough is not only great, but it's been discovered, so get there early. The menu is inventive, which has always been a problem with breakfasts (BTW, if you ever get over to Key West, the crab eggs benedict at The Mad Rooster is def a breakfast to swoon over), but First Watch is starting to break the mold. Pumpkin blueberry pancakes, light and fluffy, millionaire's bacon, eggs made to perfection. They've come a long way. And the wait staff is accommodating and very friendly. Go. First the review is not about the food it's fine. The place was less than half full when we sat down. Took a while 10 minutes for the waitress to recognize our presence. Coffee and hot tea ordered another 10 minutes. Ordered the "Georgia" pancakes (pecans) and the waitress had to go and find out if they still do that. Another10. Pancakes arrived along with our other meal. Oops, forgot syrup tried to hail someone to get butter and syrup to no avail another 7 minutes. A dirty water glass was placed and left on our table after the neighboring table rejected it. The waitress took the coffee urn to "freshen it up." There was no return with the urn. When we checked out I asked the manager if he had trained the waitress; he stated that he had trained some of them. I explained the much less than sterling service and he just said that he had just been transferred. Gee, I wonder why? He said you should have called me. I told him he went by our table numerous times and never looked at any one other than to seat them. I asked him where in the hell did he go to management school! If you like decent breakfast food and don't mind service that can be measured on a calendar , have at it! Update: 6.20.2017 2 stars to 5 We chanced to try this First Watch again. I have always liked the food. My review is now at five stars as expected of a FW store. We did find out that the manager in the above rant is no longer with the company! Our server Christina was great and very efficient! The food was excellent. Try the millionaires bacon it's a real treat. Matt the manager was also a gem. We stop here every weekend. Food is always fresh and clean eating. I've memorized the menu and try something new each time. I've never been disappointed. I recommend the avocado toast with eggs. I don't know where they get the eggs but they are the freshest ever. Don't usually have to wait more than 15 minutes and they offer seats and coffee while waiting. Staff is friendly and food comes pretty quickly. They also offer energy drinks, soup and sandwiches. They serve until 2:30. This was the Deerfield beach location. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time today. Ordered take-out: Sweet Honey Pecan Salad. Great salad for lunch! The hosts were fast and friendly. My only complaint was I sat at a couch at the entrance that was heavily stained. It was not a good feeling. Other than that the restaurant was busy and the customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Definitely coming back to try more from their menu. read more

This restaurant is open only for breakfast and lunch. It is a chain establishment serving very good coffee, breakfast fare, soups, salads and sandwiches artistically prepared and garnished. I have eaten here many times. I find the food to be excellent. The coffee comes to your table in a carafe. The first cup is poured for you and then the carafe is left on your table. You can have milk, or assorted non refrigerated creams. For breakfast I ordered the Floridian French toast. It is prepared using thick sliced sourdough bread with wheat germ, then smothered in layers of banana slices, kiwis, and fresh whole berries. Just delicious and a feast for the eyes. Served with real maple or sugar free syrup. I have ordered many different foods here, but this one is my favorite. My wife ordered the Tri-Fecta. Two eggs any style. She opted for scrambled. It came with a Belgium waffle and thick sliced bacon. Whatever you order here is made per order and tastes very fresh. The service is very good and friendly. The restaurant itself is immaculate. Sign up to become a member of their e-club and get a free entree on your birthday. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It can be crowded on weekends. Try to get here early before the lunch crowd. Every time I am in South Florida (several times each year), I have to have my breakfasts at First Watch. Ignore the fact that my daughter works for First Watch. The quality, healthy menus they offer; combined with prompt service that exceeds expectations, make for a great start to any day; weekend or work-week. The coffee is always perfect strength (haha) and the juice repertoire is delicious! And the egg white omelettes, frittatas and wraps are so flavorful! The service is prompt, so I am always surprised when I look at my Watch to find I am in and out within 30-40 minutes.
