Since we went on lockdown, I have ordered from First Watch twice. My first order was a couple Sunday's ago. I ordered the potato hash and an extra side because that was always good when I would ate there. The potato hash was a complete salt lick bomb. I threw it away. We also had the avocado toast which was good. Today 3/12/2020 I ordered 2 morning meditation drinks, drinks were missing some key components. Tasted totally sour and different. The kale drink was good. The pancake, farm stand hash, and veggie sandwich were all good. I thought with the lockdown, food preparation would improve because there's less customers, but it seems the standard have lowered. Wasted good money on drinks and potato hash that were not good. First off: They don't have that Instagram-famous lavender lemonade anymore, alas. It was a seasonal item for winter. A solid casual brunch spot! The decor is lovely, the atmosphere is pleasant, our server was friendly, and they make a good omelet. I had a great time, and I'll definitely be back. If you get a side of toast they will pre-butter it, so if you're lactose intolerant (like me) or just not into that, make sure you speak up. Also, I asked for no cheese in my omelet, but a couple of feta chunks snuck in there anyway. Luckily the omelet was folded in half so they were easy to remove. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and had heard great things about it. They have a neat check in system on their app which I discovered. Just keep in mind this place fills up fast! When I looked at 10am, it had my searing twenty minutes out. When I looked at 11:30am the wait was an hour out. I checked in and the time provided was the time they sat us, so at least they're accurate. Amongst our table we ordered the salmon eggs benedict, standard eggs Benedict, banana granola pancake, and avocado taste. The food took over 30 minutes to come out (it may have been closer to 40), and only the eggs benedict came outside. It's always an annoyance when one person doesn't get their meal at the same time as everyone else, and then have to sit and watch the rest of their party eat. What's more annoying is that person ordered the avocado toast so there was no reason it shouldn't have been prepared already. Both eggs Benedict dishes were cold. And I don't mean like warm. It was like they had been refrigerated and warmed, but not long enough. The two of us that ordered the eggs benedict had to send our orders back, at which time the avocado toast and pancake came out, also with sides of potatoes that came with the eggs benedict. The manager came over to apologize to the table and assured us she would make it right. When they reserved the eggs benedict my guess is they microwaved it, because the egg yolks were completely hard boiled. A breakdown of the fishes: The potatoes were good. They were skillet browned and there was a good portion. The pancake was delicious. I could taste the banana and liked the slight granola crunch. The avocado toast was bland. It was just smashed avocado on toast and definitely needed at a minimum salt. There was definitely a good portion of avocado on top. I can't speak for the standard eggs benedict but the salmon eggs benedict was the worst I've ever had. They use sockeye salmon, not lox, to be clear and they both taste differently. Sockeye has a smokier flavor to it, along with an unmistakeable bright pinkish red hue. It's also tougher in texture. It was served on a long piece of bread, not an English muffin as usual. I wouldn't have minded toast but the bread was barely toasted. This made for a hard boiled egg with sockeye salmon, on soft bread with hollandaise sauce. There wasn't anything about it I liked and I didn't even eat half of it. The mixed greens that came on the side were very good and lightly dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, which was a nice side offering. The only reason I gave this restaurant two stars is because of the service. I'd honestly give the staff 5 stars for service. From the hostesses, to our waitress, to the manager, everyone was so friendly, polite, professional, and personable. That alone will get people in the door and may even keep them coming back after a bad experience. I just wish the food would have been better. A salad and potatoes isn't enough for me to return right now. read more

So I normally order Togo through Uber. But we decided to come inside for this time. And this place is busy. And well worth the wait. Not that we waited long. I came with my son. We got the blt eggs Benedict with roasted potatoes and a kids chocolate chip pancake (which is huge btw) with bacon. This food was..... incredible. My mom and I had a hankering for a good breakfast and we had heard good things about First Watch so we decided to try it--and thank god we did. We were both pretty hungry, we hadn't eaten, and we're just craving good, warm breakfast and First Watch delivered. We were promptly greeted by a sweet and lively waitress, Kierra, who saw to all of our needs and made sure we enjoyed everything. She quickly offered coffee and water, made sure we didn't feel pressure to order quickly, and ensured we were comfortable. She definitely made the experience all the more enjoyable. We had the hardest time deciding what to eat, everything sounded so delicious. They serve breakfast, lunch, and brunch all day long, and there's one specialty menu that changes seasonally. Out of all those options, not one thing sounded unappetizing. Finally, after pouring over the menu for ages, we settled on the Frittata Rustica, the biscuits and gravy, and a Lemon Ricotta pancake to split. My mom loved her biscuits and gravy and my frittata was scrumptious. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked--I highly recommend. But the showstopper was definitely the pancake we split. I kid you not it was like chewing on a cloud. It was cooked to perfection, the lemon curd was so creamy and tart, and the strawberries were the perfect sweet compliment to top it off. It was just the perfect way to finish off our breakfast. Overall, this is one of the best breakfasts I've had. Ok ... Let me start by saying this is our second visit to First Watch. We returned because we were given a $20 gift card to try them again after a bad food experience our first visit. I wish I was able to write that this experiences as better, but it wasn't. We started with the "Million Dollar Bacon". The appearance looked like .50 cent bacon. The taste was better but more like "Two Dollar Bacon". We had four people dining. Two meals came out together One was as described, the other, a bacon and avocado omelet had very little bacon. About 5 minutes later the third item came out, a carnitas burrito. It was sans ANY carnitas and was cold. The fourth item came out when the rest of us were finished with our meals. It was another carnitas burrito. This one was hot and had one piece of carnitas in the entire burrito. Must be having a meat shortage in this establishment. My friend and I were seated and had to wait about 15 minutes to even get our drinks taken. My friend actually had to go to the kitchen to ask for a to go box (for the shrimp, because the shrimp was okay).
