I usually love going to first watch as a good to go place for brunch, but this location was a little disappointing. This is my first time going to this location. I got the eggs Benedict like usual, but I was surprised to see the eggs fried instead of poached. Other locations have them poached like what's on the menu (see image). The waiter said that I had to say I wanted eggs poached or the default is fried. So, if you are ordering eggs, I would make sure to specify how you want the eggs even if the menu says poached. Other than that - the vibe is cute like any other first watch locations.

When we arrived we were greeted at the door by several (too many) people who were gathered at the hostess station (they should not all hang out there.) We were taken to a table but there were empty booths nearby so we asked to change. They graciously accommodated us. Our waiter was very pleasant, and offered water for the table. During our meal he checked onus several times. We ordered the tacos, frittata, maple bacon and pancakes. All were well received. The pancake was shared by the 3 of us and was exceptional! The restaurant was clean and had a good vibe. We will definitely come back

I enjoyed it! It was an overall solid brunch place for the weekend. Fortunately we didn't have too long of a wait when we went around 12 noon. They had all of the breakfast brunch options. There were a lot of options that were both savory and sweet and a lot of the classic choices like French toast, pancakes, skillets, bowls, drinks and coffee. I had the power quinoa bowl, and it was exactly what I wanted. It was something that was light and savory and healthy and tasty. My favorite thing about the quinoa bowl is that you feel full afterwards but it also has a tangy dressing and an egg yolk on top. But if you're in the more of the sweet mood, we also got the Floridian French toast. That was also a good balance of "healthy" with the fruit against the French toast. The interior had a modern finish and a lot of natural light coming from the glass windows. It has around up to 50 people worth of seating. They had the option of outdoor or indoor seating. We chose outdoor because the weather was nice. I will say it started raining while we were outside and we were pretty covered by the awning. Service was fast we had our food in a reasonable amount of time. They also filled up our coffee to make sure we never ran out.

This is my first time trying this establishment. I initially thought they were only Chia seeds, smoothies, and açaí bowls.. today I was surprised when I learned they serve lemon ricotta pancakes. I took the first thing smoking ordered the lemon, avocado, pancakes, bacon with eggs and a kale drink. Although it didn't knock my socks off, so make me work on my toes, but it was definitely really good and the size of the pancakes were beyond my expectation. The service was really good. The waitress was really nice and attentive and helped me make the right choices for my first time. She seemed to be well liked by some locals who visit the Restaurant quite a bit. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. The decor is pretty help It's great to accommodate early morning, breakfast for two or early afternoon, lunch or brunch. I will be back to try their bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. It looks really good.

Been coming to this location for years and its our go-to place for a yummy breakfast or brunch. Staff is always friendly and helpful with food allergies. The place itself has gone through some decor changes, and currently has a cool modern country Houston vibe. This location has indoor and outdoor seating but I wouldn't recommend it for groups with more than 8 people as this location is not the largest but does have more seats for smaller groups making it better for a date.

My friends and I came to First Watch to celebrate Galentine's on a Sunday around lunch, so the restaurant was busy. It was my first time coming, so I was anticipating what the hype was about. Food: Originally, I wanted the Traditional Breakfast because of the bacon side, but I opted for the Carne Asada hash because it was a seasonal item & it sounded more appetizing. - Bacon side (3/5) - I'm not sure how I feel about spending more than $5 on 4 pieces of bacon. Many brunch places don't prepare bacon the way I want them to (with a little bit of crunch), and First Watch was no exception. The texture was a bit chewy, and I was hoping First Watch would be different, but alas, I wasn't a fan of how they prepared their bacon and regret getting it on the side. - Carne Asada Hash (3.5/5) - I generally enjoyed this meal but have some qualms about it. As the name suggests, there were a lot of potatoes, but they were cut into big pieces; I could have preferred to be chopped into smaller bits, especially given the starchy nature of potatoes. Halfway through eating, I thought I was fuller than I actually was. The avocado and pico de gallo included in the dish were the stars of the meal, though! Additionally, you can request to have your eggs prepared in various ways (medium over, sunny side up, scrambled, etc.). Service (4/5): Our waitress was friendly and checked up frequently. However, my one gripe is that we were expecting a 7th friend to come later, and one of my friends, who was already present, asked our waitress if they could bring another chair. She returned to the kitchen to get our orders but never brought the chair, so the 7th friend, who was late, had to grab it herself. While this is not serious, I cannot give the service a 5/5 for this reason -- but I understand that things were hectic, and they might've forgotten. Also, I don't get why my order came last even though I was the 2nd one to get my order taken; a bit weird, truthfully. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd return to First Watch. It wasn't a bad place, but there are better brunch spots in Spring/North Houston.

First Watch is definitely a place to dine in for some delicious breakfast or brunch foods! I usually come here every time whenever my Fiancé and I crave for some yummy foods! Last Friday, I visited First Watch for breakfast with two of my closest friends, and while the company was great, the experience? Not so much. Positives - We were seated quickly, and our server was fantastic. She was friendly, patient, and went out of her way to offer suggestions, since I was struggling to choose from the menu. A+ for service! I finally settled on the Trifecta: a waffle, million dollar bacon, and a side of cheese grits (subbed because I don't eat eggs). Negative - the food. First, the timing was off. One of my friends got her food a full 7 minutes before the rest of us. Awkward much? She didn't want to eat without us, and we didn't want her food to get cold. :/ When my food arrived, there was something red on my waffle (despite my clear request for it to be plain). I asked the server, and she assured me it was raspberry--not strawberry, which I'm severely allergic to. I pushed it aside onto a napkin, but honestly, I shouldn't have had to deal with that anxiety. As for the food itself, it didn't live up to the hype. * The waffle: Thin, full of air bubbles, and completely underwhelming. Definitely not the thick, fluffy kind I expected. * The cheese grits: It was basically a bowl of melted cheese with little grits mixed in. I sent it back for plain grits, which were much better. * The bacon: The biggest letdown. It was way too sweet, like it had been dipped in maple syrup and then peppered excessively. I'm picky about bacon and was hoping for something amazing, but this wasn't it. If you've ever had bacon from Snooze, you'll know what I was expecting, and this didn't come close. The restaurant itself also had 2 issues - The restroom was absolutely disgusting, which is always a red flag for me. Then there was the chaotic payment system. You pay at the front, which sounds fine in theory, but it's right by the entrance where people are waiting for tables. Add a line of people trying to pay, and it's pure chaos. We were all crammed together, bumping into each other. It was a mess. Overall, while the service was great, the food didn't impress, and the chaotic setup made for a frustrating experience. I won't be returning. If you're looking for a solid breakfast spot, I'd recommend heading somewhere else.

The food looks great but it was bland and over priced. The ham and guyere cheese omellete has one slice of cheese and the dressing on the greens is almost non- existence. The million dollar breakfast sandwich is boring the only salvation was the seasoned potato. The service crew us good. But i think the food can be more tastier and not to be over priced.

Great food. Very healthy but with a great taste. Wasn't aware that alcohol isn't served here, so if you're looking for mimosas might want to try another spot. They juice here and their blends are delicious. The blends give you energy. The million dollar bacon is to die for! read more

Have to say wanted to love this place as my breakfast spot, but this won't be it. Shortly after being seated, they had a waiter change (no big deal), but the new waiter never came back. Food took 50 minutes to come to table and when it did it was only part of the order and it was cold. At this point with no service to speak of, we decided to leave and let the manager know of our bad service. This is where it gets worse, the manager walks up, no introduction or no hoe can I help you, just stands in front of me. I then proceed to tell her of our plight, she does nothing to apologize and just tells me she didn't think it took 50 minutes, and said nothing else. No sorry, no empathy, nothing else. Won't return, period!!! read more

Back once and again, we had am superfood again which is a must. I wanted to try something different so I went with the farm house parma.Which had Italian sausage and was interesting.wife tried "the works" which looked ok but she very muched enjoyed it. Last but not least topped it off with the french toasts which was the icing on the cake. Great food! read more

I am very disappointed with the food quality. I paid for a super food "Bowl" and got a parfait instead. Also I ordered a cold brew and I never received it. Instead I got a message on my the bag saying " we're out of cold brew". Completely took my appetite. I do not recommend you dine or order here read more

Aw - Why! Why did I only rate First Watch 3 stars? The first time I came here, the service was normal, can't complain, and the food was so bomb. I was so happy, that I took my parents here, and that's where it goes down hill. The service was slow, the table was still dirty and sticky and the food took FOREVER to come out. We got seated to a table where we saw the glasses were dirty and we were talking and our hands/elbows got sticky...but THEN we weren't addressed by a waiter for good 5+ minutes, that might not seem like a long time, but it's also something you value in a restaurant! Then after ordering, the food really took so long. Maybe the kitchen was backed up, but the server never came back to us to let us know the status. It was really a sad experience that second time. Food? Okay, food is still good, so at least that made up for it, but I didn't anticipate to be at the restaurant that long. I've came back one more time since my boyfriend wanted to try it, and the service was really similar. Shame read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! Everything I've tried is amazing! I always come in on weekends so there's a little bit more of wait time for service and food, but if you don't mind the wait the food won't disappoint. I seriously don't understand the bad reviews, I've never had a problem and the place is always full! Plus, they have flavored coffee creamer! read more

We have been coming to this place twice a month. Food and service have always been good. However, today, the lady at the door greets us with her mask not on covering her nose. Which is a health hazard in this environment. Then we place our order, the food comes out quickly and tastes great. We ask our server to please bring some coffee and chalula sauce. We wait and wait and wait. We finish eating our breakfast and the server finally decides to show up. I see 5 servers in the restaurant and literally 6 guests. I told the server that we were waiting on salt and pepper and chalula and now breakfast is done. He says he's sorry and walks away. We had ordered a waffle for the table which never came out and the server provided no information on that. Nothing comped, no apology from a manager. Just sorry and walked away. 5 of us have been eating here every other Friday since they reopened. Don't think we'll be coming back. read more

The food here was probably more of a 4 star but the service was a 2 if they were lucky so I settled for a three. My daughter had the pumpkin pancake and the size was good, the flavor was good. It came with eggs and sausage. They also brought warm syrup. She ordered the millionaire bacon - which might be one of the best things I have ever had. Sweet, Spicy. Delicious. I had the pick 2 and had a very good sandwich and salad. But now for the service. We got seated quickly, the place was not crowded, maybe 8 people in the whole place. We waited a little longer that we should have for our drink order. They brought us very small glasses for water and NO ice. We placed our order without issue but then we waited and waited and waited for our food. We were a party of 5 and one person got their food 5 minutes before the rest of us. Will probably try it again in winter to see their winter menu. read more

To begin with, this restaurant is run by fantastic and kind management. My service was excellent from the waitress(Symone). When the food came out I was very pleased by presentation and tasted perfect. The atmosphere is very nice and better than any other breakfast/lunch place similar. Love this restaurant! The food is always delicious and it has a great ambiance. Love that you can check-in on yelp ahead of time and get into the waiting queue. I would give 5 stars except the wait on food is always long but worth it. Tons of healthy options and a good variety of offerings on the menu. Nice portion sizes as well. Highly recommend but expect a wait on your food. Service is usually on point too. read more

OMG!!!!!!!!!... This is a fantastic place for breakfast, however if you want lunch, this place sucks for lunch. The lunch menu is pathetic, no where near as good as the breakfast selection. I would give this place 5 stars but because the lunch selection sucks, I can only give it 3 stars. read more

DON'T GO HERE IF YOU'RE DIETING! I've eaten here once a week off and on for about a year. I just started a diet with no carbs and no sugar. Knowing that First Watch offered healthier options I thought they'd be a good option for eating out on a diet, unfortunately I was wrong. I ordered an omelet and asked for no sides. They brought the sides anyway, so I told the waitress and just didn't eat them. However, they were still on my check. I told the cashier before I checked out but he said they had to charge me anyway, because it was the restaurant policy and "sorry, they're cheap." Then, he proceeded to tell me that it was impossible not to order sides regardless of dietary considerations. I was under the impression that this was a restaurant that would be supportive of dieting and healthy living, but was definitely disappointed. It was only a few dollars extra, but the principle is disrespectful to people trying to make lifestyle changes. read more

Definitely a horrible experience. It was my first and last time there. Me and my son walk in , got seated, our waiter who name I didn't catch...she was a kind of tall black woman with a afro though. She gave us drinks and gave me time to look over the menu. I don't need 20 minutes to know what i want. Unfortunately I've been in the service industry and already know servers treat black people poorly so i was definitely upset about the lack of attentiveness. I walked out and just went next door. Teach your employees about proper service. read more

This is probably my favorite Breakfast place bar-none. If you are looking for extra ordinary, also healthy options....this is it. If there is a line, they have free coffee right there available (Who has that?!!) So nice.... pour yourself a cup and know it's worth the wait. Outside seating is an option too. Think Millionaire's bacon, Kale tonic, and Avocado toast... and fresh it is. The eggs are cage free eggs and are prepared all different ways. On the outside seating, you can bring your pooch to accompany you as well. I love the Eggs Benedict with gluten free bread. Glad they have the gluten free option. Multi-grain pancakes w/Blueberries or choc. chips, etc. and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are a few more mentionables my husband loves. They have their all-natural house Preserves that are tasty . Request them! Open until 2:30 pm. read more

I love this place! If you're looking for a brunch or lunch spot, I'll definitely recommend First Watch! My favorite dish is the lemon ricotta pancakes!! It has an airy refreshing taste to it with a hint of lemon. The pancakes are soft and fluffy, served with fresh strawberries and lemon curd. Honestly, the lemon curd gives the pancake a natural sweetness without the need to use any maple syrup. If you are a lover of lemon desserts, I'll definitely recommend you to try this dish! As for other dishes, I've tried all 3 skillet hash which are all absolutely amazing. These skillets have literally everything you'll need for a healthy and hearty breakfast: potatoes, eggs, protein (meats) and veggies. In addition to the skillet, breakfast entrees are served with a side of toast and fruit! The toast is absolutely amazing with the jam topping that they have! Overall, I've been to first watch several times and it has never disappointed me. If you guys are looking for a new place to try, definitely give First Watch a try! read more

As we watched 5 or 6 guests come in after us (party of 2) get seated before us, the hostess admitted she accidentally dropped us from the line, even though she could visibly see us waiting longer than other guests. Once seated, same issue as we waited another period of time before a waitress took our order. Food and drinks also took some time to arrive. Food was decent but it is poorly managed. We literally watched people arrive after us and finish their food and leave before we were even served. Just go to Another Broken Egg where the food is significantly better. read more

I absolutely love the food here. Prices are a little high so I limit the number of visits. The farm fresh type food is awesome! I always love getting their fresh juices and try the seasonal ones but my favorite is the kale tonic! read more

Used to go to the Egg and I. It was renamed First Watch (a military term). Egg and I offered a military discount First Watch does not. The money doesn't matter to me but the respect or lack there of does. My family and I spent $100's there. We won't be going back. read more

My eldest sister was the one who searched for places to celebrate our mother's birthday, and she definitely picked a winner. She felt like this would have been a restaurant our mom would have truly enjoyed if she were still here on this earth, and she got it right. Let me count the reasons why Mama would have loved this restaurant: the aesthetics, the well-seasoned food, the lively vibe, the soulful energy of the atmosphere, and the wonderful customer service. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess, Victoria, whose professionalism and mannerisms were spot on. She was so friendly and welcoming. She held the door open for us when we entered, and she even held it open again when we left. Our server, Daniella, matched that same level of professionalism. She was not intimidated or nervous by our group at all. She greeted us warmly, introduced herself, and took our drink and appetizer orders with ease and confidence, which let me know she knew exactly what she was doing. She also offered great drink suggestions that we really enjoyed. I do not want to bore you with a long, drawn-out review, so I'll keep this part simple. The atmosphere is welcoming, with music playing at a nice medium volume through the overhead speakers. The dining room is extremely spacious and clean. Food Ratings: Fried Catfish/Shrimp Platter - 4/5 Both were fried to perfection, with nice crunchy edges and a soft, succulent, meaty texture inside. However, it was a bit too salty for my health. Fried Fish and Grits Platter - 5/5 My younger sister said she could taste the authenticity of Black culture in the well-seasoned grits and she enjoyed them. The CK Burger - 5/5 My son said this burger was delicious, and he tore it up too! The CK Patty Melt - 5/5 My eldest sister said it was delicious and felt like it melted in her mouth with every bite. Salmon Bites Appetizer - 5/5 Fried to perfection and surprisingly not too salty. Fried Plain Wings/Lemon Pepper Wings/French Fries - 5/5 Everything was served piping hot and extra crispy. Deviled Eggs Appetizer - 5/5 Everyone around the table loved these babies. My eldest sister said she did not care too much for the fried chicken tender on top, but overall, they were still a hit. Dirty Rice - 1/5 Too salty and too greasy for my liking. It also lacked the authenticity I was hoping for. Mac and Cheese - 5/5 According to my daughter, the mac and cheese was a 5/5. However, it did have a spicy kick, so my son gave it a 4/5. If you like spicy mac and cheese, then you will probably love theirs. Collard Greens - 5/5 This item stole the show for me. The collard greens were delicious, not too salty, and seasoned just right. Here's the shocker: instead of using pork in their collards, they used turkey neck. I was genuinely impressed because a lot of people believe pork is the only way to get that deep, flavorful taste in greens, but Cutten Kitchen proved otherwise. Blueberry Lemon Drop - 5/5 This drink may seem girlie, but it hit like a man. Sitting Sideways Cocktail - 5/5 This one hits just right and gives you a nice little buzz. Pineapple Upside Down Crown - 4/5 It was a little too sweet and did not have enough liquor for me, but it was still delicious after I poured an extra shot of Crown in it. Overall, Cutten Kitchen is an upbeat, lively, and soulful establishment that offers some of the best Southern cuisine in the area. I highly recommend this place if you love authentic soul food, great customer service, and a vibrant atmosphere. FYI: Parking is plentiful, but it would probably be best to make a reservation beforehand. I have heard this place can get packed.

I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

I understand mistakes happen but passing the blame onto DoorDash and not willing to take any of the blame or even offer a half assed apology/try to make it right is a new low for customer service. That's ok I'm sure they won't miss me as a customer but I will miss the breakfast burrito (with no meat) and hashbrown casserole.

With a lot of shame and sad feeling I write this, use to be my restaurant to go for breakfast almost every day till today, I got a young man approach to my table this morning claiming to be the manager ( never seen him before ) basically telling me me that he has received complaints from the staff about inappropriate comments from me, he dint say what was clearly but the way I see it according to his reactions, this was something the I won't even ment here, am a adult person and a business owner myself so if on the place I like to go almost daily I see something the it can be for the best of it, I will say it, if the food I order is not make the proper way , if the staff are chatting ( 4 or 5 of them) the counter while a client is trying to reach them, if they try every time to say me on a place I don't like it when half of the restaurant is empty, this morning was the most horrible morning I have in a while, , at a moment I feel like I should call my lawyer to persue a legal matter about this accusations but honestly, I went to another place down the road and they really make it up for me, god bless america. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I'm hoping to spare someone the humiliation and pain that I felt. I went to pick up my order for the first time, and while standing in line an Asian man in front of me told the hostess his name, she looked at a bag with said name and gave it to him. Then, when I said my name she looked at the bag with my name, looked at me and asked to see confirmation. I'm a black woman. I have no problem providing proof of purchase which is why I had it in my hand. The issue lies in the fact she didn't require it from others. She could sense that I was offended because she then said "I just don't want any problems." I will not be returning and while I'm sure they do not care, I hope other black women can save their money and go to an establishment that has employees who will not make them feel discriminated against. read more

I am here visiting from Jacksonville FL for the holidays with my family and this was my first time eating at First watch and it was Absolutely AMAZING‼ If you happen to visit this restaurant ask for a waitress by the name of SaKayla Harris she was PERFECT‼she was a very patient and kind young lady. No matter what obstacle came her way with the incorrect orders and loads of questions from my family members about the menu, SaKayla tackled each one with a smile and even a little dance here and there lol. First time at first watch! It was a very enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was a charming farmhouse theme. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was Steve, he provided fast and friendly service. I definitely recommend the cinnamon toast cereal milk. We tried the pumpkin spice donuts and they were the perfect little breakfast appetizer. As first timers, Steve provided a complimentary juice taste testing and they were all surprisingly delicious and refreshing. We will definitely be back to try out other items on the menu. read more

This morning me and my dad went and again got taylor, when i tell you we had a smile on our face we were beaming. Her service like always was amazing she was attentive even though she had another table of 13 to take care of she always had a smile and was quick to give us our drinks. Speaking of those were AMAZING taylor recommended the pomegranate pear punch so we got it and loved it. We ate out side and it was surprisingly clean servers made sure that as soon as a customer left they cleaned the table and seat someone else. read more

Autumn printed out all of the foods and the ingredients of each to ensure I didnt come in contact with any dairy products, upon placing my order. Or server Andrew has the best personality and is very attentive to keeping the needs of his customers met.
