Tri-Fecta® with Chicken Apple Sausage Patties Side of Potatoes

We came on a Thursday at 10am and it was packed!! We did have to wait 10-15min to be seated for a table of 2, but they had a text message to let us know when the table was ready. The food and service were great. The lemon ricotta pancakes were the perfect level of sweet. The only issue I experienced was that the waiter didn't automatically bring water to our table. I've been to other First Watch locations and they typically bring water even if the whole table orders some time of drink, which was weird to me since it didn't happen during this instance. I do like First Watch, but I probably wouldn't come back to this location as there's more in the area with less of a wait. Although, I did like this locations music playlist over other locations.

Anyone with stubborn boomer parents know it's not easy to get them away from their favorite lunch spots. The day they graciously bestowed me with the choice of picking where to eat for lunch left me under intense pressure. As expected, First Watch's vast variety of breakfast and lunch options made it very easy for everyone to find something to enjoy. Portion sizes were good and we all left feeling full in a very healthy way. Thanks for not letting me down, First Watch. Grumpy Grandpa approves and looks forward to going back!

First Watch has been popping up everywhere and is a great place for brunch as they have a wide variety of menu items! On my visit, to start out, the server bought out water which i'm able to refill at my table whenever I needed which was a great touch! I ordered The Trifecta with a Plain Multigrain Pancake, Cheesy Grits and Chicken Apple Sausage Patties. I also ordered The Traditional with Bacon, Seasoned Potatoes, Scrambled Eggs and an English Muffin. There was some wows in both meals and there was some disappointing moments. In The Trifecta, the cheesy grits were the star of the show, i've only ever gotten the seasoned potatoes here which are always good but the cheesy grits were tasty!! I didn't have to add any salt or butter, only some black pepper! It fell short for me with the pancake and sausage. The pancake was huge, looked perfect, was hot with a crispy exterior. I just didn't like the flavor. It honestly didn't have one to me. Maybe i'm just not a fan of multigrain pancakes but it needed some vanilla and sweet cream inside of it for my liking. As for the sausage patties they just didn't hit the spot for me and they were super thin. Moving on to The Traditional, it was overall good but could've been better. I loved how they gave me a lot of bacon, but it was just so flimsy. As for the scrambled eggs, I could be wrong but they might be a premixed egg from a carton which isn't my favorite but they're decent for restaurant eggs. The english muffin is your average english muffin, so no complaints there and they have many different bread substitutions you can choose from as well as the meat! While I had a great server and recieved great service, I've had better food at First Watch so it could've just been an off day. I'd still recommend this restaurant to anyone reading this, it just wasn't my best visit.

Ordered Diet Coke & there was mold all throughout floating in the drink. Waitress was very kind, but had to wait ~10 min from when I noticed to when I got a water as replacement.

Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how bright and airy the restaurant was; very inviting. Our server was very friendly and promptly came back with our drink orders. I ordered The Traditional, which consisted of 2 eggs your way, potatoes, artisanal bread and choice of meat. In this case being smoked ham. The presentation was absolutely eye-pleasing. The eggs were cooked to perfection along with the potatoes. Both were delicious. I was, however, disappointed with the ham. The taste was delicious, but the texture was dry and tough. I wish the ham steak would've been thicker, which would probably have made it tender. Overall, I had a lovely experience and will most definitely be back.

Surprised we haven't tried this food chain before. It was actually the only food place in the area we visited. Why not try it out? Happy I did! The restaurant felt very "barnish" and rustic. Very clean, open, and decorated well. The service was nice, but we wished it was more attentive as this was our first time there and options were a bit overwhelming. Our selections were serviced quickly, eye pleasing, and food quality on par. We really enjoyed our meal and it was reasonably priced. The food did not taste processed like I've experienced at other food chains. The food was very fresh. Truly enjoyed this place.

Food is always consistently good here and so is the service! Does get very busy for breakfast on the weekends so usually there's a wait. I always get the morning meditation juice it's so good and refreshing. Typical breakfast/brunch spot with lots of seating inside!

Food was good but my main issue was how dirty the glasses. As I sat down the waitress gave me a glass of water and Looking at it I can just see how filthy it was and as well as it Being sticky like they didn't even wash it? When seeing that I got curious and started inspecting everything and I notice how the syrup they gave me *I didn't even use it* had a hair in it and the tip of it looked like they didn't bother to clean it... I was just disgusted

The food is amazing every time we come in. It's always worth the wait. Our drinks did take about 10 minutes to come, but we did order two fresh pressed juices and a coffee. The million dollar bacon hits every time and the ambience is great .

Ummm, they didn't have much to choose from and the service was slow but what I order was pretty good and the drink I had was also good. They need more food options and need to stay open a little later. I probably won't go again if I do it'll be for the drink I had. read more

I stopped for breakfast and had a delicious kale drink with a shit of elderberry. Then had pancakes with ricotta cheese in the batter with lemon curd on the top. Very different but delicious! Many normal items like waffles and frittatas. And of course, alcoholic drinks! read more

Husband and I tried today for the first time since it switched over from the Egg and I. We were sat down immediately. Took about 10-15 min to get noticed by a waitress, she apologized we ordered two waters, one tea, one coffee .. That took another 10 min or so.. we both ordered eggs Benedict... Another 10-15 min I got mine and another 5-10 min later my husband got His waitress came by asked if all was good and once again disappeared. 2 minutes after that we get our bill from a different server. Our potatoes were mediocre full of burnt onions and eggs were over cooked.. it only does ones expect good food when dining out but also service and experience. We were not the only ones disappointed. When checking out the server acting as host for the day apologized for our experience and took off the tea and coffee from our bill, maybe there wasn't a manager available for us to speak to don't know. Will we return? Highly doubt it it's a shame read more

I had the lemon ricotta pancakes (lemon curd on the side) and they were perfect. I don't like my pancakes super sweet so without the curd they were amazing. My husband had the bacado omelet and he enjoyed it also. Coffee was great. Good, quick service. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I just hate spending a lot on breakfast. Definitely recommend! read more

Last week I went to this place to eat with my wife. We ask for a bowl of soup and 2 half sandwiches with salad. 40 minutes later another waitress approached asking if everything was ok and we let her know we haven't receive our food yet. Long story short, the original waiter forgot to ring the order up and we walked out 50 minutos later disappointed and hungry. I'm not saying I won't come back, but I think they have to be more pending and train better their employees. read more

Just left after waiting for 15 minutes without the waitress even speaking to me and then taking the order of some police officers ahead of me. Had my mouth ready gor some avocado toast and an acai bowl. You need to be fully staffed at lunch time folks!! read more

I have a love hate relationship with first watch. Each time i've been the service has been underwhelming i leave 30% because i worked in the service industry for 4 years. But jeez a smile would be nice sometimes. The food is mediocre and for some odd reason every time it is cold no matter what i order. i almost want to tell the server before they bring it out to put it in the microwave for me but i feel that's asking too much. $12 for a pancake 2 eggs and a piece of sausage is just not worth it. Was told it would be an hour wait, which is what I expected so we joined the wait list. Waited over an hour and had not been paged. Walked in and observed 3 different tables available for seating for at least another 10 mins and they still had not seated anyone. The standard to wait on someone after they are paged is 5 minutes. Complained to the host and the manager and they just gave unacceptable excuses. This is my last time dining at this location. The service is horrible. read more

This is probably the worst place for customer service. When it comes to the food its decent. However,overall experience and dining 0 out of 10!!! The hostess was super unfair the woman sat groups of people down even though she said " they did not check in through the app" and they weren't on the waiting list yet. Me and my boyfriend had been waiting to be seated watching all the fresh people walk in way after us to be seated and orders being placed. Management is nowhere to be found. No manager coming out to check in on guests at their. I'd would have much rather spent way less at a Waffle House or IHOP or Denny's, and Received better or even excellent service. This place is far beyond expectations and no sign of the service. Don't waste your time coming in after church your seat will be ready after a life sentence. Save your coin!!! read more

I came here for brunch with my 2 friends, and we had the worst experience. The utensils were dirty and the cups had lip stains on them. We asked for plastic utensils and our waiter, Justin, didn't get them for us and we had to ask another waiter. I also ordered a juice in which wasn't given to me until right before the food came out after I had to ask for it. Our waiter seemed like he wanted us out as soon as possible didn't once ask if we needed anything or even cracked a smile, yet he was making jokes with people at the other tables. We didn't deserve this treatment and no one else does either. Bad service. The food was good. read more

This place sucks. Service is super slow. Took like 10 mins just to get greeted. The waiters seem to not really know what they're doing. Chocolate milk taste like plain milk. Dirty glasses. Had to ask for water multiple times. Food is mediocre. Not a quick place to get breakfast at all. You're better off spending your money somewhere else. read more

I had a great experience. It was my first time to First Watch but my best friend has been here multiple times. We walked in and was greeted by your friendly host/cashier name Angel. We were seated right a way. Carlos I believe was my servers name. Greeted us and took our drink and food orders bc we were ready to order. I ordered the Salmon Benedict and Pesto Chicken Quinoa and my friend order the BLT eggs Benedict. Food came out promptly and everything tasted great. I will definitely be back. read more

My family truly enjoyed breakfast at First Watch. We checked in and although we were told there was a 20-25 minute wait, we were seated in about 5 minutes. Ebony was our waitress and she walked us through the many options on the menu. We all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their selections. The food was fresh and well prepared. First time eating at a first watch, I was greeted by Josh with a smile and a great attitude, my server Jalissa was amazing, she offered us samples of their drinks special. I had the morning meditation great drink to start your morning. Food was great and everything came out perfectly and in a timely matter. Josh and Jalissa bothcame over to make sure everything was good. I had a great experience at first watch, I will definitely be coming back for more of that morning meditation and great customer service. read more

After the rebranding from egg & I, First watch is fire! I personally recommend the Healthy Turkey egg white omelette (hold the feta and the toast), and please don't forget the $million $bacon!! The service is amazing, I always ask for Ms. Brittany but everyone is polite and attentive. read more

SAVED BY THE OXTAIL…read more.... So my experience... I'm Puerto Rican and Jamaican and love my caribeña food. I knew this wouldn't be like my home cooked meals but had a good feeling it was going to be goooodt! The man at the register was a trip- funny- and honestly reminded me of an uncle or two I have. He took my order- they had no goat (weekends he said) so I opted for the oxtail. Now you know some establishments make you pay 25$ for three oxtail in these times but I'd say I had a fare portion of oxtail for the 20something I spent. It came with two side and I got the rice and peas and Mac. And cheese. I ordered sweet plantain on side because I was sharing this hefty meal. When he poured the oxtail into the plate I was SO excited... smelled good nice popping hot -yes I was ready. Well.. I did carry it home exited to dive in and I was a little disappointed in what I bit into (pics below) My rice seemed mushy. And you know how it goes (not enough gravyyyy lol) I could deal with a bad batch of rice if the flavor was good...and so once heated well I dealt with that But my biggest disappointment--- cold Mac n cheese... not just cold- but partially frozen.... The Mac was poorly reheated...which then brings concerns for the extremely varying mixture of temperatures on my plate. I said a prayer heated the Mac and dug in. If I hade to rate it: Fully heated Mac: 7/10 Oxtails 8/10 Rice and pea 6/10 Sweet plantain 10/10 I'm going to give them another chance-- I'm going to go on a busy night and hopefully stuff isn't sold out but rather coming out hot. Considering there aren't many true carribeanspots in Houston-- I'll take it for what it's worth and give it the 2nd try... if that doesn't work out this might just be one of those places I only buy certain items from.. I think it would be beneficial to add the hours of operation on Yelp and actually upload business information on Google so those of us who enjoy delicious Caribbean food can frequent your establishment. As I was completing my review in my vehicle in front of the restaurant, a nice gentleman came out of the restaurant and approached my vehicle. He explained that they were closed and preparing for a private event that evening. He apologized for the inconvenience but invited me in and said he would check to see if they had something on the menu available for me as a takeout option. I gladly agreed and entered the restaurant with him. He was a complete gentleman and offered me a seat and something to drink. He proceeded to speak with the person in the kitchen who informed him that there was nothing prepared at the moment. I didn't get any food but the hospitality was off the chart and not only will I return but I will send family and friends there as well. I'll be back for my delicious Caribbean meal

This place is a disaster. First Watch took over the Egg & I and I didn't think it could get any worse; trust me, it did. The only reason you see people waiting is that, apart from Denny's, this is the only place to get breakfast anywhere near Fall Creek. The food is poor, no seasoning and cold. Coffee and tea water were not even half full in their carafe containers. Oh, you want more coffee or a water glass for your water? Nope, you will have to flag a server down that is walking around aimlessly and even then they forget to bring it. We had 3 different people take our orders - you have to be kidding. Servers look like they haven't been awake for more than 15 minutes, move slower than a sloth, and write down your order in full sentences where the pause is so long it's uncomfortable. There were another 5 tables with no coffee or food around us for the majority of our visit and could hear others getting just as frustrated. The ladies uniform attire is tighter than most nightclub outfits, including one woman with a full bust exposed while her ponytail extension got in the coffee cups from the server behind her. There is a time and place for fake lashes, long nails, hair extensions, and a deep cleavage tight shirt - doing it while serving lukewarm coffee is not one of them and it's unsanitary. Food took 40 minutes to come out for 3 people. I wish the owner of the First Watch brand would do that "Undercover Boss" show and sit in this restaurant. He/She would be appalled. I will never return to this (insert your preferred expletive here) ever again. I sincerely hope that if you read this review you avoid it at all costs. That, or bring someone you strongly dislike that is very hungry. read more

I recently tried the BARBACOA CHILAQUILES BREAKFAST BOWL during brunch, and it was an absolute delight! Every bite was bursting with flavor. The seasoned braised beef barbacoa paired perfectly with the Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, salsa roja, and crispy corn tortilla chips. The addition of fresh avocado, lime crema, Cotija cheese, and scallions elevated the dish to another level. The cheesy scrambled cage-free eggs and seasoned black beans with housemade pico de gallo were also exceptional. To wash it all down, I ordered the mango passion palmer juice, which was incredibly refreshing. No idea why all of the ratings are so low! This is without a doubt one of my favorite dining locations! The wait staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is very comforting. The menu is extensive and all of the food is delicious. I have been coming here once a week since this location opened and have gotten something different almost every time, and I have been very happy with everything so far! Portion sizes are manageable and healthy as well. Would highly recommend this restaurant -- don't listen to those bad reviews! read more

Nice meal at "first watch" location in humble i was there towards closing but still received great service. My server Savannah was very polite. I had the Floridian French toast. I will definitely return to try the rest of the menu. The only thing not so pleasant was a lady customer being loudly mean to the server.
