After shamelessly stuffing my face all Thanksgiving week, I thought I could use some healthy food for lunch today. First watch was the first thing that came to mind because of their Kale-tonic (A.K.A my favorite drink). I went in around 1:00 on a Sunday so I expected a big crowd of after church traffic. However, I was able to get a table almost immediately. I was then greeted by Roslynn who provided me with stellar service. She was personable, enthusiastic, attentive, and a nice smiling face! After placing my usual order, My kale tonic and the avocado toast with potatoes, she made some small talk with me, then brought out my drink and my food just a few minutes later. We spent 3 hours at this location today because the cooks could NOT get my omelet, right!! They messed up a waffle. One side burnt and the other side falling apart. I ordered the works with bacon, ham, sausage, and cheese. The first omelet was missing ham, second still missing ham, third with onions, and fourth finally was right. Gheesh, manager helping out from another store, apologized. I just wanted an omelet, but I didn't know I would have to wait 3 hours for it to come out, correct? ‍ The waiter tried to help, but he didn't do well in that department. My family and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived at 1pm, and the restaurant had started to clear out by then. We ordered coffees, and our waitress brought over a large pitcher for us to continue to serve ourselves, which was much appreciated! For lunch, I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, and my family members ordered the superfood kale salad and the lemon ricotta pancakes. We all liked our food. The eggs on the Benedict were perfectly poached; the yolks were very runny. The kale in the salad was a little tough, but the flavor of the dressing was good and all the mix-ins complemented the salad really well. The lemon pancakes were very fluffy and the lemon curd they were served with was excellent. We did think the ambiance was a little odd. Due to the design of the restaurant, when we spoke, it was difficult to hear one another, even though the restaurant wasn't noisy. Aside from that, everything else about our meal was wonderful. I've been to many other first watches and they've all been excellent but this location is very poor representation of the first watch name. Our server was extremely rude i didnt see her smile once. As someone who has worked in a restaurant and been in the atmosphere i expected our server to at least smile. On top of that our food came out with a hair on it. No kitchen staff wearing any hair covers which is against many health codes. Overall not a great experience and will not be back to this location. read more

Let's be honest, first watch is KING when it comes to breakfasts there lemon ricotta pancakes are what dreams are made off, lol! But seriously who could have imagined that combo of ricotta pancakes with, lemon custard on top and fresh strawberries would be so magical. I am a creature of habit and have to say 9 times out of 10 I get this for my breakfast there because it is that good! They have many monthly or seasonal specials that are definitely worth checking out,Ike the egg Benedict's with crab, so amazing. I have now been to three First Watch locations, and I can say that I am pretty done giving them more and more chances. I arrived with my husband and tiny sidekick for a nice little breakfast together. We were seated on the patio, server and hostess were very friendly. I order a bloody mary and a water, Stephen orders a coffee. The million Dollar Bacon bloody was pretty good, and had cute presentation. The water didn't arrive until we were leaving, and oddly enough, the only sweetener option is splenda..there is no regular sugar. Also they had creamers on the table but when he asked for milk, he was told they don't bring milk out for coffee. He ordered the french toast and really enjoyed it, I ordered the biscuits and gravy meal, and was just..not impressed. They tried so hard to make the gravy something healthier that they left the flavor behind, and it has a weird consistency. The eggs that I ordered scrambled were pretty under cooked, and the potatoes were just dry. The server didn't come out to the patio too many times, but when she did she was super friendly, especially to our dog. She was the highlight of this visit. read more

Google says they have crepes, google lied. We came here for the crepes and got denied. Strike 1. Were offered coffee upon seating which was a plus. I had the tomato basil soup with Cobb salad and club. 2 for 2 Or something like that. The amount of ranch they gave me was a joke. It was like a thimble full. The Bloody Marys were great but were $8. Well, every single time I ordered the kids meal they forget to bring the fruit. I always order to go so I do not know to even check. You'd think I'd remember to check the bags before I get home but I'm always promised so passionately they didn't forget. :( I have had three acute brain injuries so I don't always remember. I spoke to a manger one day. He told me he would remember and take care of it. He said it was the servers that forgot. So I went back and got it that day. He apologized snd said he would make sure it never ever happened again. Then, I ordered again. (This has happened many times) and got home. Called the manager. The GM answered and apologized. Rick. He said he saw my order and to hear this has been going on was not good with him. He said it was the cooks' fault. He said "remember my name, come back and I got your whole meal." I was astonished by the gesture and certainly appreciated it. He said he wanted me to have a great experience. I told him the food is great but I just never get my complete order. It's for my youngest and it's frustrating because he is a fruit baby. Today. I came back. He is not here. I'm mortified being drilled. Then, I was basically called a liar that I didn't talk to him today because "he ain't even here today". I told them I spoke to him on a different day. The day of my last online order. :( Wow. SMH. The. That managers argued he was wrong it's not the cooks' fault. That thr other manager is gone and they have tried to call Him all day, no answer. My "First" Watch experience was a good one in Phoenix. Definitely a step up from typical breakfast joints. Menu items are creative, fresh and generously portioned. I'm pretty basic in my breakfast needs (eggs and potatoes) and I have mild-moderate food allergies to most of the recognized allergens so chicken sausage and Udi's bread products are appreciated and available here. Staff was friendly and attentive. The one missing star is due to the silver and glassware that were heavily spotted. I polished them knowing they were clean and switching wouldn't make a difference. We are normally huge first watch fans but this location did us wrong . We ordered to go because we were passing through on our way home back to VA . The fruit was sour . The home fries were burnt into crispy bites and extremely salty . We ordered a veggie omelet and the red peppers on the inside were sour which destroyed my entires omelet . The food was surprisingly cold especially since the people that arrived after we did had visibly steaming dishes brought to their table versus the cold entrees we were served. When brining the issue to our servers table she observed the issue and walked away. I then noticed her speaking with another server with a grimace on he face as she looked over at our table. Previous visits to this location have been meh at best. Decided to give them another go on a busy Sunday morning. Whatta mistaka I maka. Ordered a traditional breakfast with turkey sausage links, scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. I'd asked for the BP's to be crispy. When the food arrived, the server apologized and said "I know these aren't what you asked for, but I tried to send them back" slightly cooked would have been a step up in these. Upon closer examination. With a fork, we'll over 1/2 weee solid in the middle and swimming in oil. Shamefully, they'd danced on & off the griddle as quickly as they landed. I wasn't going to eat raw potatoes nor wait another 40 minutes for the kitchen to mess up another simple order. When the server came back around, she'd given us a 20% discount off the food bill but then scurried away and avoided any further contact with us. Ordered online. 11:15 was the pickup time, 11:20 wasn't ready. Went and filled the gas tank up and came back because they were busy. Picked up my order and got home, no syrup for French bread or waffles. No million dollar bacon. I asked for a soft poached egg and got a fried egg. Called the restaurant for the million dollar bacon, syrup and powdered sugar that was supposed to be on the French toast. I drive back up there. Bacon is there. But no syrup or powdered sugar. I didn't even bother to bring up the fact that I didn't get a poached egg. Thanks for the drive... an hour and 45 min later, we all get to eat what was promised within a 15 min online pickup order.
