I tried the Belgian waffle with the real maple syrup, berry compote, and cinnamon sugar. Delicious! My husband had the traditional with eggs, potatoes with onions and tomatoes, sausage, and toast. Yum! The restaurant is cute with interesting artwork. It's got a very casual and relaxin feel to it. The staff is amazing and accommodating. Everyone is very friendly.

First watch has to be one of the best breakfast spots I've ever had and I've had them in 2 different states and the food is always extraordinary. The service is great and they always keep things clean. The waffles are fluffy and sweet, the bacon is savory, the eggs are cooked how you like and the potatoes are flavorful and crispy. I would recommend them over and over!

Oh man, do I love this place! One of my favorite things is that the food is made with healthy ingredients (there's actually food in the food). I'm normally there right when they open for breakfast, but today I met a friend for lunch at 11:30. The place was PACKED. Nevertheless, the very friendly host seated us quickly, and we got great service from a very friendly waitress. The coffee was outstanding ... as usual. And I love that they bring me a whole carafe of decaf. Love that! I saw someone order the Floridian French Toast last time I was at a FW, and swore I'd try it next time. But I'm usually healthier than that, so I was wavering today. When the waitress found out, she suggested that I get the Trifecta, and upcharge the pancake to the specialty french toast. That way I'd get some healthy protein and a single slice of the french toast (with all the fruit), instead of 3 slices. Perfect! And it was absolutely delicious. The only problem is that I wanted to order a 2nd one. Well, that, and (as you can no doubt tell from the picture), the turkey sausage was small and not very aesthetically pleasing. Tasted good though. Anyway, I appreciated her helpful suggestion, and was glad I took her up on it. Another thing... Even though the place was packed, my friend and I were able to have a conversation that we could each hear and felt private. I love that. It's kinda an art. And I never felt pressured to get up and go so that someone else could have our table. I like that too. Overall, a great experience ... as usual. Can't wait for next time.

We visited First Watch in Kirkwood on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We arrived at 9am and were immediately seated. As we progressed through breakfast, though, it did get extremely busy and there was quite a wait by the time we were leaving. The food was simple but we were very impressed with it. It is a standard American fare type of menu but still tasty. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Roasted Vegetable Frittata and was very happy with my selection The chive cream drizzle on the top definitely made the entire dish. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was consistent with other diners - nothing out of the ordinary or outstanding, but consistent and delicious nonetheless. I also ordered the Honey Caramel Crunch Iced Coffee and loved this drink! It was very sweet so if you don't like your coffee sweet, I would stay away from this. The cold foam and toffee crumbles on top were a great touch.

First time coming to this First Watch and probably won't be coming back. The waitress was okay. She only came around once and that was after she was flagged down by my friend but the food was very mediocre / bad. I ordered the Bacado omelette and my friend ordered the trifecta. First the avocado in my omelette was covered in rotting spots and of course it was the avocado in the inside and not the singular slice on the top of my omelette... it also didn't have cheese in it like it was suppose to. Then my friend's order they gave her the wrong type of sausage and her eggs were cold.

Food is simple but tasty. The million dollar bacon is a must. Thick cut, sweet and spicy. The service is quick and our server was very kind and prompt. We didn't run out of a drink the whole time. I got the farmhouse skillet, and it was very oily. It seemed like it was drowning in a pool of grease. Still tasted good, just expected a little lighter. Honestly, the toast was amazing. Thick cut and toasted to perfection. So so good.

My son and I came to brunch on a Sunday. Super packed, but because the website has a "join list" button, we only waited about 10 minutes once we arrived. We were quickly met by our server, and food came out super quick. It was kind of loud in the restaurant, but he and I could talk across the table without trouble. If you are wanting to catch up and talk with a long-lost friend (lol), it may be difficult to hear.

First Watch has been always a favorite breakfast place for my husband and I. You know it's a good restaurant when you crave menu items. I am vegan and I love the A.M. Superfoods Bowl which consists of chia pudding made with coconut milk and topped with berries, banana and granola. And, comes with yummy grainy toast topped with the best almond butter I have ever eaten. This has got to my favorite vegan breakfast restaurant dish. My husband got The Works Omelet with potatoes and toast/jam as sides. Coffee comes hot to the table in your own decanter. Service is friendly and fast. Food is reasonably priced. They have brunch cocktails and exotic juices. But, we were just wanting our hot coffee this morning.

I came here after a great workout on Saturday and it was exactly what I needed! My mom got here around 930, and she waited for about 15 minutes for the table (which is way less than I was expecting- it's always packed on the weekends). By the time I got there, my mom was seated with our family friend. I was attended to quickly, and ordered a cold brew. I always love how they bring water to the table so we can serve ourselves. I feel like those little touches can make a restaurant experience great. Our server was amazing- so friendly and full of energy. She made our breakfast experience awesome. I decided to go the protein heavy route and get the healthy turkey omelette: egg whites, turkey breast, spinach, roasted onions, tomatoes, feta. It also came with toast (which I didn't eat) bc I wanted a pancake. I ordered a plain pancake (I'm traditional) as well. The omelette was super good- I loved the turkey breast is came with. It was really flavorful and really made the omelette filling. The feta was a nice touch as well. The pancake, by no surprise, was delicious! Fluffy and bigger than my face. It was a nice balance to my protein omelette :) My mom got one of the seasonal juices and it was incredible! It was called tropical sunrise and you could definitely tell that it was fresh squeezed and amazing. Not too sweet! I also really love their avocado toast, so I definitely recommend that as well. Went on a Friday morning and they were surprisingly very busy. The host checking people in was obviously overwhelmed. There was a waitlist but people weren't being seated accordingly, so when I mentioned several people that checked in after me had been seated the host was very rude My waiter was kind and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately my potatoes were mostly burnt. The biscuits and gravy weren't great but weren't bad either. Was hoping for a bit more flavor. My drink was probably the best thing I had. I've heard great things about the restaurant in general so I'm thinking I'll try a different location next time

My friend and I stopped here in St. Louis while passing through on our road trip. I had heard things about it before but had never been into one. I had an egg white omelet filled with italian sausage, peppers and swiss cheese, potatoes and and english muffin, it was amazing! Also I loved that the coffee carafe was left at the table instead of having to bother the waitress countless times. My friend got the avocado toast and said it was delicious! I have found one or 2 in the surrounding Phoenix area where I live and I will definitely be back! read more

First watch is one of my go to breakfast or brunch places! They constantly are adding to the menu and everything I've had there is great. Carrot cake pancakes, blueberry pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, you name it. They even started offering healthy juices not too long ago. The only downside is that it gets crowded, especially on weekend mornings. read more

My friends turned me onto this place and I returned with my 19 y.o. who can be pretty picky. I get on line through this app and it will tell you how long is the wait. Just check in with the host and they will text you when your table is ready. I like the egg white dishes, my daughter likes the pancakes, (two can seriously be too much), and she also liked the kale tonic. Will return as will she! read more

My son and I wait when here for breakfast on New year's day. we waited over 45 minutes for no food while we watched other people that came in 20 minutes after us eat their breakfast and when I approached the manager and ask for an explanation he told me that it's their duty to serve all guests their food. I had a simple order of an omelet and the kids bacon and eggs I don't know what the real reason for the problem was but all I got was a bunch of shenanigans. My fav! Food is ALWAYS great! Service is great. I love the atmosphere. I also like the community table, which is a first come first serve concept. I haven't been to all the locations but the Kirkwood location is awesome. It's crowded but definitely worth the wait. read more

If you're looking for a place to get healthy food that also tastes good-then you need to go to First watch!My wife and I enjoy the Kirkwood and Olive locations-they're essentially the same as far as food quality and friendly attentive service.A great alternative to sloppy high calorie breakfast places.Sometimes it can be tough to get a seat during peak weekend breakfast/lunch hours-but definitely well worth it.We're seated wherever there's availability and our servers are always friendly and continue the conversations we had going the last time we saw them.I like that personal touch!Good,Healthy food and great service make First Watch my favorite breakfast destination-and the grilled turey sandwhich is no slouch either! read more

We had 14 people, and although I know that's a lot, I don't think that's an excuse to have to wait 2 hours! Once we were finally seated, they gave us a menu and it had a beautiful selection of all types of food for all types of people. We all ordered, and the food was AMAZING! Although the food was outstanding, I noticed half way through my walffel, there was leftovers from the last meal on my plate. I also noticed that when someone was scraping some extra food onto my brothers plate, a green leaf that was dried had been on the back of the fork. I know it wasn't actually from the current meal he had, because he had eggs, no green leafs. So if First Watch does read this, scrub those dishes better! But I have to say, great service! read more

Awesome friendly, efficient service and wonderfully flavorful and filling dishes. My daughter and I have had standing weekend breakfast 'dates.' My current favorite is their pumpkin pancake breakfast. Two eggs your way, meat of your choice and the most incredible pumpkin pancake. I can never finish the whole meal. Delish! RUDE SERVICE at the kirkwood location. I do not recommend this place. It was our first time going to this place and probably our last. The check in lady didn't mention when we put our name in about their "community table" so we were cut in front of by multiple parties to sit there. And she didn't try to accommodate us whatsoever. My husband took us here because he had a great experience at the one in TN. It was my first time and I had a very horrible experience. They brought us to a table that was very filthy. Love First Watch. Always a special treat to go there. Went today and saw they had remodeled. It is now a nightmare. It is terribly noisy. It was impossible to have a conversation at the tiny table where we were seated. Much of the seating is now at long lines of small tables where you sit in a chair and your partner sits on a soft sofa. You are elbow to elbow with strangers. Gone are the cozy booths. In the past jelly was on the table. I guess they aren't able to fit it in the tiny tables so they bring you a serving of something in a little bowl now. No more sugar packets, now a shaker of brown raw sugar is on the table. The entire experience was uncomfortable and no longer the cozy spot we used to enjoy. Breakfast was $30 for two including the tip. We don't plan on returning to a once great restaurant. read more

Usually a bit of a wait but they've got a great selection of breakfast foods and friendly staff. Plate times are acceptable for a restaurant which is almost always busy. The Super Foods bowl is excellent! Chia pudding, fruit drizzle, granola, and fresh fruit served with delicious toast slathered in almond butter. Once came with my daughter and was surprised that (including her child's meal) our check was less than $10! Miraculous. Have visited all three locations in our area and have experienced consistent results. High five first watch! read more

Updated review: finally returned to the Kirkwood First Watch last weekends after I was invited back by corporate. Our server was MUCH better than any I've had previously. The food was delicious as always and we didn't have a wait (on Sunday even!). Four stars because service was a little slower than usual, but overall our experience was positive (and usually service time is around average). Thanks for the invitation to return! read more

Honestly, probably the best food I've ever had, as well as the best service. I come here about twice a month, but I wish I came more. I normally get the 2 for you, half Monterey half pecan Dijon salad. Anyone I have taken to this restaurant is in awe of how delicious, inexpensive, and all around great this place is. The sun e club is awesome--2 dollars of my meal every month! A good excuse to get it for lunch :) read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the area. I can't believe how long it took me to finally go in, I had no idea it was a restaurant! Yes, yes, it is clearly stated on the awnings, but I never paid much attention to what it said, it just didn't look like a place to eat. The service is excellent and so is the food. I haven't experienced an unpleasant employee yet and haven't had a bad meal, which is a rarity. I love seeing more locations opening up! read more

I've been there many times for breakfast and I have never had a bad meal. The complimentary coffee is always a nice touch as you're waiting for a table. The staff is always very friendly and the food comes out very quick. I recently went there for lunch and had a BLTE which was delicious. read more

My kid ate a few slices of her pizza as well, which is a good sign. Overall, just an okay experience. I'd return but not going out of my way to do so.

All together it's a meal and then some, with plenty left over for tomorrow's breakfast. Fast and friendly service, and I their mission of providing training for adults with physical disabilities. They have a full ice cream bar in here (had no idea) which is great to add to the sweet treat line up. My coffee was great (iced latte) and the service was also good. Again, practically tasteless. They served it with a maple cream which seems like a creative way to go, but frankly, I would have been happy with traditional corn bread. The popover that comes with every meal I just threw out. I was loooking forward to trying this place for weeks. I finally was able to get around to it, and my dog ate most of it. No thank you. First Watch in Kirkwood, Missouri, is a delightful restaurant that truly embodies the farm-to-table dining experience. I was on the lookout for a good breakfast place to eat and was concerned that many of the options were a little too heavy with oils and not particularly healthy. I was very pleasantly surprised to find First Watch. During my recent visit, I enjoyed the vegetarian omelette, which was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked, not oily at all, and had a wonderfully light feel. One of the true stars of the meal was the multigrain bread. Although I don't typically eat much bread, I found myself unable to resist it - it was spectacular! The freshness and flavor were evident in every bite. The service at First Watch was also exceptional. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance was a modern farmhouse experience and was inviting. Overall, First Watch offers a fantastic combination of fresh, high-quality food and outstanding service. Wildly inappropriate waiter....When or where is it acceptable to tell a pregnant woman that she is going to "pop anytime" or how she must be having a huge baby???? Tried to call and speak to a manager but since the phone has been busy for over an hour.....that is not possible.
