Ordered a breakfast online for curbside pick up. I had no intention of going inside, especially as I'd left my house without a mask as I had all of them in the washer being cleaned and sanitized. I ordered the Bacado(?) omelet that came with toast, a fruit spread for the toast, and mixed greens with a dressing. Online ordering was easy, and it only took 10 minutes to be ready for pick up. I called once parked in the to go parking area. However, was told I had to come in to get my to go order, curbside unavail. Even after explaining I did not have a mask with me and did not want to have to walk in, doing so appeared to be the only option for retrieving my food order. The food was delicious and I have plenty left for a 2nd meal. I wished the blueberry juice drink and the ham and Swiss omelet had been available on the menu online but guess a reduced menu is what many places are offering currently. Offering curbside to go delivery would have made this a 5 star experience. Update 07/13/20: online ordered, yay the ham and cheese omelet was available. Sadly not the blueberry drink. But I got a seasonal watermelon, lime, & mint drink instead. I'd asked for a substitute of cheese grits vs the potatoes but apparently that wasn't possible. I love First Watch and usually get it to-go or delivered, but went to this location for dine in last week and had a great experience! I love the giant pancakes as well as the French toast and breakfast potatoes. The Floridian French toast is my FAV and is always enough for 2 meals for me. I liked that they gave each table a full pot of coffee and a carafe of water, so that we never had to wait for refills. We had great service and would definitely eat here again. read more

We decided to come here since my wife has been here before. We were seated promptly, I like the overall setup of the location it's very open and kind of has that almost kind of like Cracker Barrel look but more modern. We both ordered "The Trifecta", which comes with a pancake, side of bacon, and eggs; I added their fresh cut potatoes. Everything came out freshly cooked and fairly quickly. The plates they use are pretty cool as well. I truly enjoyed the food, the pancake was delicious I had blueberry by the way. The bacon was cooked just like I like it, the eggs though scrambled were light and fluffy, the potatoes were great! They tasted like they were made how my mom used to make them, in a cast iron skillet with onions cut up in them. Overall this was a great experience and we will definitely come back again! Newer breakfast place placed in the main stray of louisville hospital district in the east end. I have never went to this place and there not beba minimum of a 15-20 min wait. So it obviously a popular spot. The decor is really neat and vintage wit a country home feel. Menu is decently sized with options. Food is always above par. If you are in the area and not opposed to waiting for breakfast this placed is worth trying at least. read more

First watch is a nice place for brunch (no boozy options so it's not that kind of brunch place). They utilize the waitlist app via the Yelp platform which is a nice way to save your place in line from the comfort of your own home. Our service was fabulous. Staff members were friendly and attentive. Lots of delicious food options. I got the chickichanga with potatoes and morning meditation juice. Portion was plentiful. The juice was VERY ginger-y. This First Watch is almost a hidden gem. I am a diehard fan of Wild Eggs, but I still like this First Watch. There, I said it. Just like the other First Watch in town, this one is bright, airy and pretty. The food is a healthy and happy change from the old days. My favorites are the quinoa breakfast bowls. You get a big pile of quinoa with no other fillers but kale and a protein choice. Then it is topped with two eggs prepared anyway you want. I feel so good eating this. I just hope the actual nutritional value is as good as I think it is. But who cares, it is worth every calorie! Don't forget to splurge and get one of the fresh juice blends, too! This was my first time eating at First Watch because I am from out of town and I was impressed across the board. We were promptly greeted and seated. The atmosphere and decor were really nice and welcoming. I got an iced coffee and the carnitas breakfast burrito off of the Season's Eating menu. This was one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. I'm allergic to avocado and they made accommodations without protest. This popular restaurant is good for quantity - huge breakfasts, and has a nice atmosphere and very good service. I had one of the specials, potatoes topped with cheese, eggs, avocado and a sauce with a side of fruit and my friend had the pancake special which also came with a side of fruit. It was very filling, though I would probably order something different next time as I found it a bit bland. It didn't stop me from stuffing myself and I still brought leftovers home to my hubby. The coffee was disappointing to me though - just weak diner style coffee. I am a confessed starbucks lover, so others might find it to be ok, but I thought a breakfast speciality restaurant would have better. This was my first breakfast here, as I am usually at the First Watch on Hurstbourne for lunch. I am crazy for the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl. This is not normally something that would attract my eye, but I tried it once and now frequently crave it. The sauce is so yummy that I don't even mind the little bit of kale in there. It is a good sized portion too, but it is so good I rarely am able to leave any for later. (Be sure to check in online on Sundays, they will always be packed!) I ordered the Morning Meditation Fresh Juice as my drink. I felt that the Mimosa's were very pricey. Especially for a 2 ingredient drink in a restaurant that really isn't that upscale. Anyways, the Morning Meditation is one of the prettiest drinks you will ever have with your meal. For my meal I ordered their avocado toast. It took a while for our food to come but we were patient. It appears each piece of toast had one mashed avocado. It also came with some delicious eggs. We tried to go to wild eggs first based on the yelp reviews but the wait was longer and the parking was awful. First watch is much larger with a huge parking lot and more seating capacity. I had a business luncheon at First Watch on in St. Matthews this week. Just want to say our server, Sidney, was outstanding. My guest and I were on the outdoor patio, and she attended to our needs as though we were standing next to her. She literally ran, checking with us regularly to make sure we had what we needed and we needed for nothing. The food was prepared perfectly. I even tried the new pumpkin donut holes with delightful toppings and spice. A nice introduction to the Fall. A favorite of the retired and family-with-little-ones set, odds are you've been to a First Watch more than once. So, there's no real need for me to go into a protracted review. One thing I like about this chain is consistency. The Louisville locations have the same feel and quality of food so you know that you're in good hands. Having been to the Hurstbourne location more times than this one (Breckenridge), I will say that the service at Hurstbourne is more consistently welcoming and attentive. I find the service here to range from polite to brusque. But you don't come to First Watch to be catered to (necessarily). You come for a good breakfast -- and that's what you'll find. I am not much of a coffee drinker but coming here, I find myself downing mug after mug of the dark brew. The convenience of having the pot on the table can't be overstated. There's an almost overwhelming selection of breakfast options from which to choose so even if you come here often, you shouldn't get bored. That said, I'm a fan of the breakfast tacos. I have a big appetite and the 3 tacos (corn tortilla, egg, black beans, avocado, cheese, salsa) never fail to fill me up. Reliable. Tasty. Filling. This is what a no-fuss breakfast should be. Being a popular location (and, chain), the dining room tends to be busy (regardless of the day) but the management keeps a steady flow and I've never had to wait particularly long. Wow! Ok, first of all, what a cute place! I'd never been here before, but MIL suggested it for brunch on the way to the airport. We got on the wait list through Yelp (wooo!!) so once we were inside, the wait wasn't terrible. The little waiting area was pretty cramped, especially since it was freezing outside.
